@Lovejoy OH. Oh my...oh my gosh! *squeal*

HAha, you took winged spear literally, didn't you? Symbolically, that's great! Probably uses that one for ceremonial stuff. *screeching* I CAn't EVEN RIGHT NOW!

Oops! Just googled what a "winged spear" was. Looks like I took the concept too literally. My bad!

@shylarahI'm glad you like it! It didnt really take me that long, like 4 hours-ish? It was fun!

I thought the armor might look a bit too bulky at first but I just went with it. Definitely didnt want to go the boob armour route. :p

Also, I suck at drawing faces. :(

@Lovejoy *giggles*

Really? only four hours? Man, I'm impressed. And yesssss, look at that armor~ Honestly I don't think Ziotea minds having bulky armor -- and I was very careful when making her little dollmaker things that I didn't use anything with boob plate because UGH. Just...c'mon, guys, really? Although I have found pictures of crotch plate. It's just far less common. And also somewhat more practical for the part it actually covers, even if not for the rest of the body. I mean, that is basically what a jockstrap is, after all.

@CollectorofMyst@Drakey LOOK AT THE THING! IT'S A THING! AAAAH!

Actually, I thought the thing you had for me was a post, thus the ETA question. BUT THIS IS SO MUCH BETTER.

And now I should go to sleep. G'night~

Aaaaaaaaaaah!

@Lovejoy Wow, Love, your art is fantastic. I've seen a lot of people draw for Roleplays, but I don't often see a lot of people who can do both really well. Great work! :D

@Scout Thanks! I remember I did a full group drawing of the cast from the old rp, but it was lost when the old forum died. :(

Are we all just skimming over the fact that we just had an implied perpetual motion machine? I mean, even if the Omestrian Ether created (is it still technically Omestrian? Can we create more kinds?) isn't as much as is consumed in operation, this is an incredibly massive breakthrough. If we could engineer it to create more artificial ethers, there could be new, more potent forms of ether produced in these machines for field use. If Omestrian ether is, say, 5% fire 95% ice, and it's so significantly more powerful... Getting it even to 8% fire would be major for the Inquisitors, at least.

@Lovejoy so many great things lost in Guildfall.

@Draken that's a good point :o but fire isn't something the Remnants want to deal with, either, they could be stifling that or covering it up, not explaining why Omestrians are more potent.

@Lovejoy NO. I am more than willing to wait a bit longer for a post if I get incredible arts instead. LOOK AT HER! JUST LOOKEET! *still screeching, hours later*

Hope you had a good sleep. <3

@Scout You'd be surprised. There's a lot to be said for being able to show people precisely what you mean by something with a picture...although artists come in a wide range of skill levels. I think having rp stuff to draw pushes me to do better. Iunno about other folk. ^.^;;

@Draken Hm...maybe producing it has a high cost, and is thus prohibitive? Or else there's a high chance for something going catastrophically wrong? And it might need some sort of fuel to keep going, just a majorly reduced amount? If we don't want things to break completely, that is. It definitely is a huge thing, but we already had a similar thing with the Madrys core, just on a much smaller scale. Either way, this is brand new tech.

Watch Varya be completely changed when we finally return, and we have no idea how to fit in. Second campaign, anyone? *amused*

@vietmykeFirst off, that sentence, without context, is chilling as hell lmao. Anyway, I think he said he was traveling but would still be able to post.

@DrakenI think you and Amir are on the same wavelength. But here it is, the greatest advent in ethereal tech in history, being used to power an ark full of newbie inquisitors...

@shylarah The Madrys was definitely an inspiration from an out of universe RP standpoint, but the URA (RETCON ALERT: I feel like we should capitalize all the letters in it from now on) is definitely several magnitudes more powerful and complex. Maybe Rodion will be inspired by it? Who knows!

Weeeeeeeell, if you REALLY want to nit-pick....Madrys' core is a perpetual motion machine as well. It just doesn't produce its own ether and so must use outside ether to actually power the movement of whatever body it is in.

Just as Shy said, I would imagine that the calibrations for sucj a generator would be so astronomical in their calculations that it would be unreasonable to use it without someone like Amir, or Rodion when he learns how to use it.

Inspired he is! And if I'm being completely honest, i read your post and a chorus of angels began to sing when I got to the part about the slave-generator, and then when Amir said that it produced its own ether, Rodion's mind exploded.

*Looks at Madrys*

1 month later...

Madrys destroys everything!!!!! MWUAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!

Also!!! That picture of Ziotea is AMAZING!!!

@Drakey perpetual motion means a lossless system. Actually, @Lovejoy@Draken, the URA is more than just perpetual motion; it's actually violating the first law of thermodynamics (as currently implied).

Madrys has two ether circuits:

1) her core, which never loses any energy and is thus a perpetual motion machine

2) her body, or frame, which does use up energy. However, this energy comes from a separate tank of fuel, not her core.

Also, as for violating thermodynamics, we can always say that the Generator works by forcibly drawing power out of Omestris through the ether of his people, however no one has realized this as of yet.

You mean a continual, gradual drain on the occupants of the Karamzina? Provided its marginally less than the occupants' natural ether regrowth, that sounds great at well. And also pretty revolutionary, for lack of a needle and specific extraction time.

I'm not a huge fan of that idea. MAybe it takes advantage of ether's natural tendency to replenish itself when in a body -- the artificial body mimics a natural organic one, and *mumbling about ambient energy and energy conversion*

Iunno.

Or we could forget science. Or try to.
