My nice, rude and curious reply all at the same time.

Nice: Yeah I figured, that's why I crossed it out.
Rude: Rhetorical means question I don't want an answer to.
Curious: Are you actually autistic? Why can you speak casually sometimes, but flip shit at other equally innocuous sentences?

Because you attach too much value to my (swear)words and think too little. Whether you wanted an answer or not is irrelevant because you got one anyway.

Because you're blind.

Because you're the fucking idiot.

Because there's a smudge on your screen.

No, I'll go with look at my obvious numbering on your own quotes that I made for easy reference to which paragraph/sentence I was talking about. Though growing up in general would be a nice start. This is my last reply, because I don't feel like debating with someone without a hint of self-awareness.

It is entirely logical for me to look at my own quoted post again after posting it and knowing what I wrote, you are right.

@Raddum We really don't. I'd normally PM for spats or report them. But that's not how this forum has worked out.

@Odin Yes, proofreading would help. Because you'd know I never mentioned anything about swear words. Along with everything else you ironically call me stupid for when -you- don't comprehend something I said.

I don't really see how, besides 'swearing' I've flipped shit. I just called you an idiot.

:I

Just because the teenager on the other end thinks I'm angry and not merely occupying my time while I wait for my turn based strategy game opponent to finish their turns. Doesn't mean people should follow in my footsteps and encourage this behavior. Beside the whole thread and discord serves as the drama thread already. Be a better man/woman than I am when I'm bored, I implore thee. <.<

Edit: And don't mock the cat puns. They're purrfect just the way they are. :D

The best part is I don't even have to actually say much myself, you make all the comedy for me.

New Gripe:

When someone avoids/ignores an IC action, be it intentionally or not. If the former, then it feels like you're not even there. If the latter, either they read over it or didn't read it at all.

Edited because autocorrect is a bitch.

Unfortunately common. It's surprising, but some people don't actually care to read about what's been posted after them. Sure, sometimes it's an oversight, but a mistake happens every once in awhile. Some people manage to completely miss actions on a constant basis, which is a bit painful.

What I do is use a [@Mention] to let them know there's something about them in the post. If you use mentions people usually don't miss things while reading, as they know there's something involving them there. If they do miss it, it's intentionally being ignored at that point.

<Snipped quote by Silver Carrot>

I'm not amazed. I'm a GM. I advise people on GMing and I run my own RP's. The point is that most often times people will disregard the rules - whether they read them or not - because they think its OK.

You know, putting a rule that says NO MARY SUES doesn't really help because when someone makes a Mary Sue, I'm 100% convinced they don't think it's a Mary Sue. Nobody sets out to write poorly. So, y'know, it doesn't even really help. It's the GM's job to look for quality and reasonableness and it's the players responsibility to try hard and be reasonable.

No amount of key phrases is going to make a poor writer a better writer.

That's why I abandon thread the moment I see a 'password.' I could go look for it but my inclusion of the password isn't going to make my CS better. However, one thing it does tell me is that the GM is lazy and can't be arsed to look for quality so looks for a catchphrase or password instead.

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

You just can't seem to reasonably make a point without stepping over the boundaries of what is considered reasonable discussion right? I have a 'long' list of rules. On my 1x1, I have 12 do's and don'ts. Is that too much? Maybe that's the point - to weed out those who think I'm too demanding? The 'vibe' you get doesn't really seem based in reality. If you want feel free to point our 3-4 RP's that are active right now that do this.

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

Irrelevant. I don't like the colors so I don't do it. That's my decision as an RPer. You don't have to follow this ''cultural bandwagon'' you talk about - that's a choice. That you follow along is your own problem, not mine. Doesn't even relate to the discussion because right from the start you misunderstood why people include rules and passwords and therefore your entire paragraph here is just not required.

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

Well, I don't think that's a good idea - people who don't know a lot about the setting can still be valuable assets. I've experienced this as I happened to run Naruto RP's for the longest time. As it so happens, a lot of non-Naruto watchers are good at roleplaying it with a helping hand.

That's the beauty of it - I never said I want passwords to be banned or disappear entirely. I said I abandon ship. People are free to put in passwords (or in this example, quizzes) but I just won't join. That they want to include it is their decision - and me not going along with is mine.

To answer your (stupid) question: a GM is allowed to add infinite hoops for players to jump through. That nobody will join is their problem, but they have the right to add as many or little hoops as they want. Saying otherwise is idiocy.

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

Yes. 10.000 words isn't that much for me, but I understand it is for others. It's irrelevant though - whether you wrote 10 or 10.000, the answer would be yes. And 100.000.000 would be a yes too. Because it's not my RP. I don't decide what the test post length is - I just have to fill it in. And you know, 'no' is an answer too. I can decide not to fill it in. Their loss. So yes I'm OK with it. <Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

epic xd

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

You asked that before and the answer is the same - any limit is acceptable. You decide yourself whether you want to jump through that hoop or not. Such as the case here - a hidden password. I'd not jump through that hoop but the hoop is acceptable.

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

Did- did you just answer your own question? Did you just say it's the GM's choice? Jesus fucking christ. Why write me a 20.000 word essay about why it's unacceptable only to answer your own question. Really, I mean this in the best way possible. Get some fucking help.

<Snipped quote by SleepingSilence>

Now this, this is just gay. Sending love to people? Jesus christ.

<Snipped quote by DeadbeatWalking>

It should be possible on any phone so said person might just be talking out of their ass. Also, even if view raw is impossible, it should still be visible by quoting the post. But fucking still - how do these people subtract GM character sheet code if not by viewing the raw code or quoting it? Do they mimic the code by hand? This reeks of either talking out of ass or insanity. Maybe both.

I applied to this RP. There was a copy and paste version you could use that was in full raw code in a hider on the page.

It was clearly marked and thr CS code could be accessed without having to go into the raw code or quoting. You could just copy and paste it. Was in a semi broken system on edges so that the raw code managed to be exposed for you to use minus going into raw etc.

So no, you did not have to go into the raw code to get a template as the GM provided one you could use.

Prompt was hidden in the code. I have a example I shall show you. Quoting myself wonder if I get a notification lol.

This is a direct copy of code in question. I used it to break down the code to write my prompt chunk.

Because it's hard to discuss the matter minus the evidence
OK so this is the section discussed above. In exploded code and live sheet code.live is below. Hex code hiding. No no no. This is code with code. To a smart phone. Only viable in raw.

I broke the code ernough to expose the real hidden section.

.[imWell done, you read the rules! Your writing prompt is as follows: Your character is in desperate need of something of your choice. After pacing a corridor wondering where to get it, a door suddenly appears. Your character has found the Room of Requirement. What do they require? Have they been here before? Are they up to no good, or are in need of something innocent? Tell us about this in your post; write at least two well developed paragraphs. This can occur at any time in your character's stay at Hogwarts, be it First or Seventh Year. Post it in a hider at the bottom of your Character Sheet.[/img][*]While I won't be using rolls to determine the outcome of actions in this roleplay, I would still like to see some realism. Magic won't solve absolutely everything, so don't use it as your ex machina. In action scenes, your character won't be able to duel several opponents simultaneously without receiving so much as a scratch. I suppose this ties in with the Mary-Sue rule, but just keep it in mind.

This bugs the shit out of me, honestly. Please copy your work, refresh the page and make sure there's no new posts before you post yours. I remember when I tried to make my own forum, I used a free forum builder, but it had a neat feature where if you posted in a topic with unread new posts, it would inform you and ask you to confirm the post. It was full of neat features like that.

I haven't ran into any of the former, but I've seen a few of the latter that were quickly resolved.

At least they're not the kind that will dictate how you write in one RP by deciding to go against what they had written a moment ago, but then complain about people dictating their writing despite constantly ignoring everything established by players and GM in another RP.
