The Final Clue!
After all this time, you finally find it. The Prospector was telling the truth, this room is filled with darkstone!

The monsters crawling all over it don't escape your notice. Were they drawn here by the otherworldly ore?
As Preacher Jimmy holds the lantern higher to shed some light on the room, the floor begins to shake.

A behemoth of a creature emerges from behind the ore, unlike anything you've seen!

As the realisation sinks into your bones, your body shivers involuntarily. YOU SHOULD NEVER HAVE COME HERE.

For each failure, the Darkness moves 2 steps closer to the exit.

@ScarescrowScare, the Law Holder fails. Spend a determination to reroll failed willpower save?
Dan succeeds.
Father C succeeds.
Pastor Jimmy succeeds.
Aaron Goldfeld succeeds.
The Darkness will move: 4 Steps
If nothing is done, another Growing Dread card and another Darkness card will be added to the fight.

End of round so revealing the Boiler Room triggers automatically, which happens to contain friends.

@DeadBeatWalking@Scarescrow I'll need to know whether you guys will attempt to reroll your failed willpower saves or not before revealing the final boss, since he might get more delicious buffs ;)

That being said, @Duthguy Dan has a cool new book that might come in handy for the Darkness so perhaps y'all can co-ordinate.

This is the final fight, so if you have any Once Per Adventure items that might come in useful, now is the time to be thinking about using them if you want to make the most of them. Completing the boss fight will end the adventure and these items will refresh.

Remember that I have one set of bandages and home remedies (which I forgot about myself, not that it matters without determination) so if anyone is seriously hurt and the priests are unable to help, let me know.

(Seriously though, if it can't be added yet/removed then I'll be happy too give it back so it can be sold. 'Twas your loot, after all)

Alternatively, I could trade you the Journal pages. Worth the same, no keyword restrictions. You could have those. Not sure if I'd be willing to trade them entirely, but we'll see.

@Scarescrow Scare, the Law Holder shakes the strange thoughts from his head. He succeeds his willpower check.

@Duthguy Dan finds out many interesting, unspeakable things as he skims the pages of the occult Thome. He mutters quietly under his breath and the Darkness sleeps.

Between the two of you, you prevent the evil in this mine from gaining a better footing...

Warning: Unspeakable Terror [3] is in effect. Heros who start their turn on the same or adjacent map til automatically take 3 Horror Hits.

Warning: Flailing Tentacles [3]. Rolls a 3 Combat Attack against every Hero within 3 spaces.

Tough: Immune to Critical Hits.

Slasher
Warning: Fear [2] is in effect. Heros who start their turn adjacent to the Slasher automatically take 2 Horror Hits.

Chitin Plating: Critical Hits only reduce a Slasher's Defense to 2 (rather then 0).

Tentacles
Warning: Smash is in effect. When a tentacle rolls a 6 it ignores any Defense.

@PrinceAlexus@Mae Can I just ask if the feather can be equipped immediately, or will it have to wait until the mission is over? And if the answer to the previous is yes, it can be equipped, can it be removed? I need to know if I ought to trade my journal's pages.
