@DeadbeatWalking Hawkeye Harold successfully escapes the Void Spiders and the Void Hound. He lets loose and hits five times and misses twice. Spend a determination to reroll 2 missed shots?

His first hit shall gain +7 Damage.

@DeadbeatWalking Hawkeye Harold is scarily determined. He has 2 more shots this round.

The Void Sorceror explodes into giblets, and then those giblets explode into dust, and then the dust ceases to have ever existed in the first place, as the bullet warps back in time and shoots the Void Sorceror's ancestors in the face. All Void Sorcerors everywhere shiver simultaeneously, feeling a deep sense of foreboding, like there is some sort of boogie man out to get them somewhere in the vastness of space and time.

Before I roll damage for the Night Terror, are you popping anymore Dead Eye Shots this round?

Everyone in the party receives 10 GP. Hawkeye Harold receives 15 XP!

@DeadbeatWalking Heads up the only way to deal damage currently to the Void Hound is to roll a 6 with a deadeye bullet, and even then that's only two damage. So if you pump 3 shots into him, it's still impossible to kill it.

The best person to deal with the Void Hounds is Father C, as on his turn they are only at 2 Defense. Maybe Dan as well but still difficult as then they're at 4 Defense.

so I'm just confirming, are you pumping shots into the Void Hound or something else?

@DeadbeatWalkingThe first hit slices through the Night Terror's hide for 4 Damage netting Deputy Hawkeye 5 XP! Re-adjusting his shot in the next second before firing, the next bullet hits right between the creature's eyes, killing it instantly. Hawkeye Harold gains a futher 15 XP.

The Green Spider, Hawkeye's nemesis, finally falls. He receives 10 XP.

The skeletal spider takes 1 Damage.

The sandy spider curls up as it's shot through the head. Harold receives a further 10 XP.

The last two shots ping off the Strangler's hide to no effect.

The party receives 10 GP from the Night Terror kill.

You ease a short sigh of relief.

It has become possible to break the assault.

If the party roll 10 or higher on the next Hold Back the Darkness roll they will have broken the assault.

Reminder:
Every time three medium or small monsters are killed, the needed number will decrease.
Every time a large monster is killed, the needed number will decrease.


1 more small/medium monster death is needed to make breaking the assault easier.

+Growing Dread! A Fool's Errand+
For the remainder of the adventure, all monsters do +1 Damage.

As the realisation sinks in, you come face to face with the fact you shouldn't of come here...

Growing Dread - Dripping Gore cannot trigger in this adventure due to the nature of the continuous fight.

@Mae Question: Does Jamie's Free Attack (Once Per Fight) count for melee attacks as well, or no?

@CollectorOfMyst Nah it's just a free attack with the pistol on top of your usual shot with it.

There are some melee weapons with free attacks on them though :D

Jamie Hart crits the spider, killing it instantly, and receives 10 XP!



The assault becomes easier to break.

@CollectorOfMyst Jamie is determined. She gains a further 5+1 movement.

One thing I will say as it may affect your turn: if a monster is within 2 squares of a hero at the start of it's turn, it has a 30% chance to see them as a threat and attack them instead of running.

@CollectorOfMyst oh sorry missed the question xD Breaking the assault is the Hold Back the Darkness check at the beginning of the round.

So it would be possible to win at the start of next round (if the team rolled well, even moreso if more creatures are killed before then)

Jamie Hart moves up, standing between the Void Spiders and Stranglers. Would you like to do anything else this turn? Jamie Hart has 2 shots from Deputy Hawkeye's sheriff badge.

@Mae So, starting at B11, I'd want Jamie to move to A18.

The second shot connects, causing the creature to shriek in pain as it receives 1 Damage!
