So, thanks to Phobos there, I managed to find yall. :3 I'm still working on reading through the IC and OOC, but for now, here, have a CS. XD

Note: I know an archer is a bit of a longshot considering you never see it in the show- But they -did- say the skills were almost limitless, and you do see riding once, so I assume obscure things like this would fly. Let me know if I'm wrong, and I'll whip up something new. ^^

Just as an idea which could help you fit the setting better if desired. I am not criticising your character at all. you seemed concerned about it fitting in.

I'm pretty sure the setting allowed for ranged sword moves. You could specialise in those if desired or take up the use of throwing weapons as your primary means of offence which were also seen in the anime (I'd recommend looking into chakrams, a circular flying blade that can go extreme distances). Loving the pet btw.

*Chinscratch* While I am familiar with CHakrams, and like the idea, their ability to be thrown and return so effortlessly is normally magic-based, isn't it? Didn't think weapons could have magical properties in SAO. Or was it just no player magic?

...... Fuck, I was just looking through all the characters so far.... and I realized we're just one big DPS team. No healer, no tank.... We'd bomb in a dungeon or a raid, man. -Bomb-. We need tanks and healers!... Well, tanks at least, seeing as there's no magic. ANYHOW, I'm gonna stick with archery for now, Hail. But I really do appreciate the suggestion. If archery doesn't work out, I'll likely head for chakrams.

I think manofthenorth is playing a tank and arrayahs character isn't weak either!

Ok, so to appoint an answer to all thing in question.

- A) In SAO there are no literal Ranged. (I.e. Bows, Guns, Crossbows, Etc.)So, I am sorry but the Bow is a no. You can however do as Hail suggested, which I will reiterate for simple explanation. You could use Chakrams, or focus on the ranged skills with other weapons, such as the throwing skill for daggers or swords.

- B) Rorik is a Tank, and Arrayah seems to be one as well, whether she turns out to be a straight up tank, DPS, or Nuker, is yet to be unseen.

- C) The return mechanism for throwing a weapon in-game for SAO works with a level-based mechanic. In the earlier stage of the skill level, a weapon will be returned to the wielder with the automatic loot system, upon the creature's death. In the later levels, the throwing skill for weapons will initiate the auto-loot mechanic, but only on the weapon thrown.

- D) I am currently pondering the idea of mounts, as there was never a mention, showing, or clarification on Mounts in SAO, and they only made a brief appearance in ALO under the control of the Cait'Si the Fae race of Beastmasters. This will be concluded upon, and discussed with my Co-Gm Vicier, until further notice there are no mounts present.

- E) I will be making a post by tomorrow morning, and I will be writing it through the night. Parental issues and family matters have paused and delayed my writing.

Mounts do make a single appearance in SAO, actually. Extremely brief, but there. Kirito arrives on a horse during the episode when they have the first runin with laughing coffin in the forest after figuring out how there were PKs in a safezone. Anyhow, I'll adjust the CS, likely stick to close range and simply go more rogue with it. Beast taming still flies, yes?

Everything is fitting at the moment, but do ensure you don't go outrageous with your Critical hits now, that is all I ask at the moment. Also, I recall that moment, and if you recall as well, it is suggested that it is an in-game mapped traveling system. Such as the system in "World of Warcraft" in which a player can use mapped path mounts. It is also not enough of a presentation to even decide or dictate an opinion on mounts. Everyone walks where they need to go, except for that singular moment, which is speculated by people to have been apart of a moment in the episode that was cut, in which Kirito became a Beastmaster himself, and tamed the first mount of SAO, but this all speculation, and not solid evidence within itself. Mounts are still a no, and beast taming is still ok.

I wasn't suggesting we go with it, was just mentioning the scene. XD Anyhow, I wouldn't be going overboard with the crits, promise. ^^ And true, suppose it could be similar to WoW's flightpaths. But then, they have teleportation for that.
