@The Senate Yeah we are. I feel like there is a stark contrast between our characters despite their inherently similar upfront attitude. And in hindsight, I'm glad I didn't include the Scaleguards, because then it would've been a straight up fight on whether the best archers come from training in a snowstorm or a duststorm

@6slyboy6 Desert archers VS mountain archers... that would have been an interesting scenario to see played out, especially in the not unlikely event that things turn sour. :P

@The Senate Eyh, I doubt the that the empire would fragment over petty scrabble in the courtroom. And to top that off, all whom remain loyal to the old king would most likely turn against those who would wish to break off or rebel.

Plus I hope that Flynn's not going to let that happen. This is supposedly a game of coutroom backstabbing and not all out warfare. Which if it does turn to for some reason, I expect you to show me your best side because Saqquar has been in several war RPs, and has faced many enemies.

@6slyboy6 I don’t think there will be all out war or secessionism either, but there’s always the possibility of a slight skirmish happening now and then, IMHO.

I agree. I can see small fights breaking out, maybe some courtroom swordfights over "honour" or something, but no real war.

My character is soon to follow, but I'm gonna go ahead and leave this here. I didn't want to deprive y'all of my nation any longer

Whew! I didn't intend for the history to get that long, but I can trim it down if @Flynn asks me too.

I actually really hope for the bard idea they mentioned. Amid all the strategy and intrigue, we need someone who can just let loose and shred on the lute

Apologies for my absence. At first it was the Guild servers playing up, and the last two days I've just been really busy. I'll read through everything tomorrow and such.

Also, yes, @Tangletail are you still in?
I know that Penseel will get her CS up either Saturday or Sunday.

@Flynn I'll have a character sheet going later on tonight.

The society the bard is coming from would likely be from a kingdom that takes logistics, bureaucracy, rhetoric, music, and art very seriously.

And when I say they take logistics very seriously... I mean if you want to go to war with them, you better fill out thirty pages of paper work, in triplets, with a witness from both parties. And both parties must recieve a copy of such paper work. Hell hath no mercy for you should you disrespect that tradition they have.

You want to do a mass complaint? Everyone must write an essay of their grievances, arguments, and proposals. This group must select those whom they feel best represent their grievances. That selection may be no more and no less than twenty percent of the amassed crowd rounding up. Those who are not selected are allowed to attend. After the selected group has presented, there will be a one hour period where officials are required to listen to other arguments that are presented in an orderly fashion. And after that they may leave or stay as they wish.

They have a form for EVERYTHING, and a massive archive. Got an exotic pet? Papers. Homeless? Papers, and you'll be informed of various locations where begging is allowed and their time constraints. You're going to fire someone? Papers, plus grievances informing them why they have been fired. Execution? Papers... the one being executed will be allowed an attempt at arguing for his execution to be stayed a week in advanced.

Due to this nature. They feel that they need a diplomat with outstanding charisma, and a silver tongue, to be able to make light of the strict nature of the nation.

@Jeyma
I love it! A nice mixing pot of cultures. In the history of Sinverland, you mention Emperiat. That should be Torivian. Emperiat is the old name I gave to the kingdom before. But I disliked it. I probably skipped it somewhere in the intro text.
If you change that, you can throw it to the Character Page.

@Tangletail
A bureaucratic hell. I always like those. Would be funny if the land was incorporated because they couldn't finish the paperwork in time to assemble an army. I await with anticipation!

Also, the message of the Emperors death that was spread throughout the land was as following:
Emperor Anderis was found dead in his Study Room. The cause of death is thusfar unknown. All evidence points towards the Emperors, now former, Adviser Jalian Quintus, who, after arrest, quickly admitted guilt.

Penseel asked me and I decided to share it with you guys as well.

@Tangletail Reminds me of those weird aliem guys from "The Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy". The ones who the author made the joke about having to fill in dozens of differemt forms in case their mother was attacked by a monster, amd it would take several months for the process to finish.

So whatever you will make, I will consider you that race either way. And I'll be furious, cause paperwork is annoying.

Ps: your guys must be VERY rich to afford all that paper. And very corrupt, probably.

There's a "History of Emperiat" hider in your initial post. Also, the "Magic," "Location location location," and "Religion" hiders all refer to it as Emperiat. That left me pretty confused, so I eventually decided that Torivian must be the name for the Empire and Emperiat must be the name for the capital province that founded Torivian.

I edited my N.S. and plopped it in Char.

Sounds a bit like Sinverland, at least in the terms of music and art. I wonder if that'll make an interesting dynamic between our characters- especially since you're making a bard.
