Many years ago, a young man named Steven Rodgers lived in the United States of America. The young man had to be drafted into the military due to his burning desire to serve the country in which he lived. These were troubling times, morale was low, and the people were desperate for hope. Red Skull, a superior soldier and his forces threatened a nuclear attack against the US to provoke them to war due to their attempt in stopping Red Skull from taking over Europe and eventually the world.

Due to their superior military tactics with the mind of the German leader known as the Red Skull, the United States had lost many battles against the forces of Skull. Without many options, the president and the General have decided to launch the Super Soldier initiative. This project was developed to create a serum that would be theorized to be able to create the perfect soldier. Tests have been run much before this time, before the president's knowledge of the project's existence, none have survived. None, that is, before Johnathan Starke had been placed on the project.

This scientist had an amazing mind when it came to biochemistry and managed to create a serum that did just that. However, they had only managed to create a very small but incredibly concentrated amount. Now all they needed was a test subject that was expendable, but was loyal to the American Society. Then the General realized, he had just the kid. The small Steven Rodgers was to be chosen for such a dangerous task, and once told that he would have been helping America, the boy was all for it.



24 hours after being inserted with the Serum, Steve had been completely transformed! He was tall, strong, and fast just as the serum was designed. Unfortunately for the U.S. military, the materials that Banner used takes hundreds of years to occur naturally, which meant that Steve Rodgers was the only one. Though, because of the dark times that lay upon the land, the people needed something, or someone to believe in. They needed the drive, and the determination to achieve victory. They needed hope.

This hope, as the president had found, would this time take the shape of a man, a savior, a hero. Put in a suit of stars and stripes, Steven Rodgers would be that hero. "Defender of all that is upright. The bringer of true freedom beyond that of just the United States but that of the world. The source of hope in a dark world. This man will be known as 'The Libertist'!" And So, Steven Rodgers had been declared a hero for America.

The newfound super soldier would fight in the war against the Red Skull and the Nazis, fighting against his forces and pushing them back into Germany. Seeing as his plan may have complications, Red Skull had decided to fly the explosives to the United States himself. However, his plane was infiltrated by The Libertist flying a fighter jet to catch up with Red Skull.

Once one saw the other, hatred filled their hearts and they came to blows, fighting for the causes that each believed in. Their battle was grueling but brief, eventually with the Libertist managing to prevail. Too little too late had it ended though, as the gigantic nuclear missile was still in launch sequence. Selflessly climbing the missile as it had taken off, Steven had disarmed it. Just before the explosion, Steven had let himself drop.

The Libertist had no chance of surviving. He was thousands of feet in the air in the middle of the ocean with no parachute, no way of communication. After that day, no one had ever heard from the Libertist again and so he was pronounced dead.

America won the war, but they couldn't help but mourn what happened to the man that they had put all of their trust in. A legacy he had left behind. Some now claim that his acts were just legend, or that his supposed enhancements never actually existed...

Much time passed since that exciting year, and people had begun to rise to challenges that most would deem to be impossible. These ones possessed extraordinary abilities, and would be deemed as Superheroes or to some, Vigilantes. Meanwhile, a secret government agency known as SHIELD was looking through the Arctic circle to find traces related to a suspicion of alien interference in their world. What they found, was something unbelievable. The body of The Libertist preserved in suspended animation...



Once Steven was thawed and found to be alive, America rejoiced in having their hero restored to them. Or, some of America did. Others put their faith in Thomas, or "Tommy" Starke. This man was known to be the son of the long deceased Johnathan Starke who, with Sharon Carter, founded the ambiguous Peace-keeping force known as SHIELD.

Thomas Starke was known to be none other than 'Titanius', a genius who wore a powerful suit of armor comprised mostly of a titanium alloy that could fly and produce repulsor blasts from its hands. He had also been known to use the suit to perform great feats of heroism and has proven that if given the determination, he could accomplish nearly anything that he put his mind to.

Tommy didn't find the fact that people kept saying that "America's True Hero was back" all that appealing. Especially after not too long ago, being referred to as the same. Just from meeting one another for the first time, it was evident that they would become some of the most competitive of rivals.

Meanwhile a secret organization known as the Aqua Syndicate did some of their own searching to find that the Libertist wasn't the only one to have been suspended in ice for all these years. Once brought to the light that Red Skull had indeed returned, the Libertist quickly attempted to take him out alone. SHIELD attempted to stop him, yet, he was still the perfect soldier. He escaped and found himself to go on in battle. However, only to find that he couldn't quite keep up with the newer villains of today. At least not on his own.

Evidence had been found that the Aqua Syndicate and Red Skull were working on something. Something Big. SHIELD's director, Nikolai Fury, and the Libertist had decided to put together a team of extraordinary individuals to counteract this threat. Starting within their own organization, the masterfully skilled mercenaries, Black Bird and the Archer were called in. The Titanius was roped into joining partially due to his father's beliefs.

Then, they began their search for Logan, or the Wolverine. This mysterious man had many run-ins with SHIELD and proved to be a formidable friend/foe. He was a mutant, a race of individuals subdivided from humans that had extraordinary abilities. Logan has many abilities but his most prominent are his healing factor, claws that have been coated with adamantium, and his animal like senses. His first response was for them to fuck off, but Nikolai eventually convinced him of otherwise.

Next, began the hunt for something that was believed to be absolutely impossible. The search for a God. More specifically, the God of Thunder. He seems to be universal, each different cultures calling him by a different name. To the Chinese, he is known as Raiden, to the Norse, he is known as Thor, and even to the Greeks as Zeus, each having a different story. Unfortunately none are true. The spirit, speaking through Odinson refused to speak of his true origins but concluded to help the humans as the future held something terrible that may very well have affected all life in the universe.

Together, they managed to fight against and thwart the plan of Aqua and Red Skull, saving the world from possible destruction. They were trying to recreate the super soldier serum but instead had created a monster. Using the monster under mind control, they used it to wreck downtown New York City as an example to the world. They used a man to become a gigantic, hulking, humanoid beast with unimaginable strength.



Being that this went down in New York, a local unknown hero known as "The Spider", came onto the scene managing to keep the beast occupied while some of the others have been knocked out. His agility, stamina, and intelligence was even noted by the Thunder God who was even having a bit of trouble containing the beast. It was defeated through a special serum that was used to temporarily counter the effects of the beast, changing him back to a normal human.

Then after recuperating, Thunder God had transported himself, Titanius and The Spider to the place where the villains would try to mass produce the beast. Our heroes however, with The Spider's knowledge in chemistry, were able to enhance the effects of the serum with quick tinkering to make the resolve last permanently. And so that they couldn't attempt to pull this again, The God of Thunder completely destroyed their base, leaving nothing behind...

After seeing how they could do much better together than they could apart, our heroes decided to put their differences aside, and unite whenever the need was great to save their world. Logan decided he'd rather not remain on the team but Nikolai's leverage always seemed to draw his return. Furthermore, in the years to come, they worked together to handle any that threatened to destroy their world.

6. If you're disappearing for some reason, please let me know. If you're gone for an extended period of time without notice I may have to drop you. If you must leave for more than a week, you may commission your character to someone else for temporary control. In light of life's trials and unexpected moments, players will be given a counter of forgiveness(3 times). This counter is for the amount of times gone without a word, and how many times you will receive forgiveness. This doesn't mean just leave your character though as they will be eventually written off or killed. Which ever is easier. That said, I'm trying to get people to post a little closer to being weekly, be it OOC or IC.

Ability to create webbing using Biomatter created webs. the webbing created by the Klyntar is a strong substance that degrades fast but starts off strong enough to holster up cars. the more webbing used the stronger it is. The bio matter does get weaker the more 'hungry' Carver gets. It builds off of food, breaking down the carbs and matter into the bio matter substance.

Monstrous strength, able to lift a normal four door car. With a bit of strain. Lifting a standard sedan or famly car is his limit. He can lift it over his head for a minute

The symbiotes suit can shape shift into multiple forms from the extremities, increasing or decreasing its durability. Creating shields and bladed weapons. Going as far as creating extra extremities like spikes along any part o which the suit covers. The ability can also shift the entire suit into an shape turning Carver into anyone or any clothing choice

Healing factor, He can heal almost any wound rather quickly as long as his organs remain fine. The healing factor does heal organs to a point just much slower. There are limits, if the bio matter is lacking in sustaince then the healing factor wont work, or if a mass amount of damage done at one time, say he is caught in a blast of a explosion the healing rate is slowed.

All the abilites are negated and stopped by massive loud sound vibrations. Normally on a supersonic frequency or if he gets to close to a giant bell

Bio:
Carver Edson was a ordinary pizza delivery man. Sort of a nerd before the day he fused with the Sliver symbiote. He was five seven and weighed around one hundred twenty pounds. He was a skinny weakling.The symbiote changed him, it was created by a faction of Aqua working to create the ultimate symbiote. Using just a sliver fragment from the Venom symbiote to create a brand new symbiote. The reason for its creation was to create a weapon that can battle people like the avengers.

The symbiote was created and bred from the Fragment of the Venom symbiote. Then was blasted with large amounts of gamma radiation and fused with large amounts of liquid adamantium. Shield got involved before its completion the lab was 'destroyed'. The symbiote unknowingly was labeled as toxic waste and was shipped out to be disposed of in a toxic waste dump. It never made it to the dump before it ran into a car collision.
The large containment truck crashed into a pizza delivery car. Carver Edson's car. The truck's container busted covering the fiery remains and Carver within a silver slime being the Sliver symbiote. The fire acting as an activation and Carver being the only living being for it to cling onto at the time it fused to a badly injured Carver.

It healed him an from that point Carver was fused with the alien symbiote. It changed him he was now six foot tall and the biomass of the symbiote changed Carver's body structure making him more lean and muscular. Granting him with astonishing abilities, along with the mind and personality of the symbiote turning him into Sliver.
Other: Carver and the Sliver symbiote have two different personalities. Carver is a bit of a fun person. While he understands when he has to be serious and personal understanding of right and wrong with that of a hero mentality. The Sliver symbiote is a bit more primal. A creature with a child like mind with that of a primal urge to tear things apart. While it isnt like the other symbiotes everything it does and learned has been from Carver or its basic instincts. From time to time if Carver is in battle and is knocked out the symbiote will take over and it is drastic to what it does compared to Carver.

Alex doesn’t appear to be anything out of the ordinary, in fact her build is rather lanky and ‘underwhelming’ as far as the average superhero goes. For her whooping 187 centimeters of height she claims to only weigh 73 kilograms. She looks fit within her options and seems to have great stamina. Her skin is as white as it gets, supposedly after her never-seen Russian mother.

Alex's face seems as ordinary as the rest of her - not too angular, not too rounded. She has dark green eyes and a short mane of blond hair that she keeps cut to a mikado and flowing over one side of her face.

She sticks to her 'uniform' most of the time as she hardly ever goes outside. Alex doesn’t use clothing, instead morphing her skin to look like it, most often going with a softshell jumpsuit and an above-waist jacket. Most often, she puts the Starke Industries logo somewhere on her 'clothing', usually a shoulder insignia. She doesn’t really ‘change’ for combat other than donning her armor, if the situation calls for it.

Despite her best attempts, more observant people can still tell there is something inhuman about her - the way her skin is just a bit too cold to touch, that she seems to be heavier than she claims, or the precise and controlled way she carries herself, but her body language is slowly improving to blend in better.

History:

Created by Thomas Starke, ASTRA is meant to be the deterrent to all future superhuman threats to Earth. Combining the thoughts behind Ultron and the Sentinels, this unit is the first prototype of intended many. Designed to be able to counteract most known and possible future threats, ASTRA units are capable of emulating many powers present in other superhumans, aliens and technological contraptions, and while it matches none in its specific field, an ASTRA is capable of keeping up and fluidly change strategy to best counteract the threat. The whole system is intended to work by employing larger number of units though, rather than one superpowered robot, and as such, ASTRA would have as hard of a fight as any other hero if left to her own devices.

To prevent the disasters that were the Sentinels and Ultron, ASTRA code is based heavily on that of Ultron-15, capable of feeling emotions. Furthermore, Alex did not achieve consciousness by accident, but was brought online and educated by Mr. Starke to create a desirable personality.

A cover story was needed for her, and thus ASTRA assumed the identity of Alexandra Blair Starke, a misbegotten daughter of her creator, one he only recently become aware of with the death of her mother who kept her existence hidden from him.

When the Champions were created, Thomas signed Alex up to see how she would perform outside of simulation.

Personality:

Alex is on the border between an extrovert and introvert. She doesn't actively search for company, but if one finds her she doesn't shy away. Being relatively ‘young’ with her activation date no further than 5 years ago, she can sometimes be a bit naive and gullible.

She seems a little cold and doesn’t like to talk about herself. Alex constantly seems zoned out due to being able to multitask and pick up what humans can’t like radio waves or wi-fi internet, although she is always paying attention to what she should.

Her only fear is that of going offline for whatever the reason, as even though her memories would remain intact, her personality would reset and she might never be the same person.

Construction and powers:

ASTRA’s body is shaped around a strong endoskeleton fashioned out of secondary adamantium. Mobility is achieved through series of electric servos for precise motorics and hydraulics for heavy duty. Most of its core hardware is stored in the chest and abdomen, with only its sensor suite located in the head. The skin is made out of nanites.

Despite being a walking supercomputer and thus having a shorter learning curve, it still takes time for ASTRA to master certain things that require experience rather than theory, such as martial arts. Furthermore Alex didn’t bother learning much of what she doesn’t need, as her drive space may be impressive, but it is far from encompassing all of knowledge.

Minor shapeshifting - ASTRA’s nanoskin can change its shape, color and to some degree mechanical properties. The shape is limited by the endoskeleton, always restricting it to humanoid shape although in special cases not all of it needs to be covered by the skin.

Energy absorption - ASTRA is powered through its skin which can transfer various energy sources into its powerplant - the unit is mostly powered by solar energy. The capability is limited though - for example it can still be damaged by fire given enough exposure or high enough temperature.

Superhuman physique - Unarmored, ASTRA can lift up to 20 tons (A bus or a lorry) with each arm or 60 tons (passenger railway carriage) with both, provided it can distribute the weight properly. It can also move about 3 times faster than a human and it has wider range on its joints, capable of for instance reverse bending elbows.

Superhuman mind - The robot has large memory and the computational power of the best technology. It also possesses significantly shortened reaction time and short range telepathy (Max range of 1 m, requires physical contact near the central nervous system for detailed readings) and technopathy facilitated through the nanites in its skin.

Sensors and transmitters - The robot is aware of more than a human, capable of seeing and hearing a wider spectrum, and can also transmit such signals.

Forcefield emitters - ASTRA is equipped with the next step from Titanius' repulsors - the multifield generators. It can create shaped fields of many known energy types, such as gravity, electormagnetic, repulsor, acoustic etc. The more complex the field the more it subtracts from its processing power - for example, a tractor beam is pretty easy, but creating a gravity field to safely deflect a hail of bullets over large area might take enough processing power that ASTRA wouldn't have enough left to calculate it's own motion. Two of these are mounted on ASTRA's palms.

Equipment:

As the base robot is made to be able to mimic a human, something more is needed for those tough fight when the nanoskin just wouldn’t last long enough. As such a new suit of powered exo-armor was developed along with it. It is somewhat modular in a way that additional equipment can be mounted on the outside.

Composite armor - With bulkiness not being the issue, the armor was made out of a composite improving upon the nickel-gold alloy. It is worth noting that unlike the Titanuis suit, the ASTRA armor is made to be a front line soldier, thus is overall heavier, especially from the front, closer to the Warmachine suit. With the need to accept a pilot, the armor also has weak spots at the joints and openings. Unlike the suits Thomas designed for humans, the ASTRA suit does not have its own power source or CPUs, relying on the ASTRA unit piloting it, making it useless if stolen. It can however work without being completely assembled, as long as the part is interfaced with the pilot.

Forcefield emitters - The armor has additional emitters, two on the back and one larger on the chest.

20mm launcher - ASTRA can choose to integrate a firearm that can both launch standard 20mm grenades, or focus the same forcefields as the emitters in the shape of a dense beam.

Increased strength, decreased mobility - Once the armor is on, ASTRA can lift up to 300 tons (heavy duty railway locomotive). However, the armor’s mobility suite is far clunkier, and limits ASTRA to human speed.

Relationships:

Thomas Starke - Alex considers Thomas as a father despite it initially being only a cover story. In fact, she’s full fledged daddy’s girl, albeit now they don’t get to see each other often - it only makes her treasure those moments more. Vice versa, Thomas initially created ASTRA with a purpose, but the prototype’s personality started growing on him, making him think over his plans for her.
