City of Werewolves

In Bayport, New York, there are some werewolves. In fact, about half the city's population are werewolves in disguise. They are many packs within the city, and humans who are not werewolves don't know that there are werewolves in the city. The werewolves want to keep it that way. So, to keep humans who figured out that werewolves live in the city silent, they lock up the human or humans until they agree to become one of them, join a pack and show their loyalty.

Roles:

The main alpha (Taken by me)

Other Pack Alphas (Each of the many packs in the city have their own alphas, but the main one rules over all of them.)

Humans

Other Werewolves (Pack betas, omegas, deltas and other ranks.)

Rules:

Mild swearing is allowed, just don't go over broad.

Mature material such as Mating/Sex go to PM or fade. However, make sure that the other person is 18 years or older. (I hope this part is okay with the site mods/admins)

Don't kill other people's characters unless they give you permission

Ask to join

Real and anime (drawn) pictures are allowed, but I would like people to use real pictures

The main alpha can be overthrown, but it easier said then done since the skills of the main alphas have been passed through the generations.

Interested. Kinda reminds me of the short-lived Wolf Lake series.

Will the werewolves in this game transform from human to full wolf? Or from human to a hybrid form (like in Teen Wolf or Underworld)?

I was thinking of having them be like the Twilight series werewolves. They go from human to full wolf, and from full wolf to human. Does that make sense?

Would be interested in knowing more about the plot - is this just SoL with werewolves capturing pesky humans, or is there something else we'll be doing?

Did we forget about this thread? Or is bumping your other ones more important?

I haven't decided yet. I was sort of hoping that the story could develop as we went on.

Word of advice: Generally speaking, roleplays don't live very long/make it past the application stage when the GM doesn't give a clear direction for the plot - not outside of the Free section, anyway. The players can't do much with the only bits of information being "werewolf packs" and "human prisoners".

Hmph. People here ignore my roleplays anyway. When I do get a roleplay started, they drop out, without a word and the roleplay doesn't last at all. In case in point @Drakey and I in the roleplay called "The Remaining Hybrids."

Stuff like that happens man. Sometimes people drop. Sorry you got ghosted but blaming everyone doesn't really help your problems. And calling out specific people for it is kind of a mean thing to do. :/ Like, you don't know what happens with other players. Sometimes, life is too much trouble. Sometimes they lose interest. Hanging onto that kind of bitterness only harms you in the long run.

Have you ever considered the possibility that perhaps the problem is not the people, but yourself? I've seen so many people try to give you advice but you never follow it. Your ideas are usually from extremely niche fandoms that, after several attempts, one can see that there aren't many people on the guild interested in them. Next, your characters are nearly always the main character - you've already claimed the Main Alpha Wolf in this roleplay, for example, rather than having it as an NPC. You've got no clear direction or plots, so it's no wonder people decide to drop out because there's not much to write about. You put your roleplays in the advanced and casual section when it really should be in Free, where you may actually get some eager players. Finally, your attitude just stinks. For one, calling out somebody in a separate thread to just try and shame them, or something? Seriously? Believe it or not, people are going to start dropping out of your RPs and avoiding you when you start treating them badly - bumping a thread with "sigh" or "frustrated growl" isn't mature in the slightest, and really paints you in a bad light. I think it's about time you started looking at yourself and your own actions instead of just blaming stuff on your partners, because this behaviour is not going to get you any friends.

@Peridot You have to admit, they kept be waiting FOREVER. They said they would reply, and several weeks later, there is still no reply. So, yes, my attitude is going to suck. How about you try waiting for forever to get a reply, and keep the positive attitude? It is easier said than done, and I have tried that, but being nice got me nowhere.

I think you're acting really childishly entitled. You aren't owed anyone's attention or participation. And throwing a tantrum on a public forum over feeling neglected is only going to make people avoid you. People have pointed out to you the things you need to fix, but instead of taking their criticisms and advice to heart, you're dragging other people into the spotlight to shame them and bemoaning how no one replies to you.

So here's your reply. Suck it up. Not everything is going to go your way all the time, and taking your anger and frustration out on other people is incredibly immature and toxic behavior. Would you want to RP with someone who is passive aggressive, whines about how no one pays attention to them, and publicly shames their past partners for not living up to their standards? I sure wouldn't, so you think long and hard about how your behavior on a public forum reflects on your character as a person.

As Peridot and others have said, the problem is you. Your RPs are very niche and aren't going to attract a lot of people who aren't interested in them. That's just a fact. You also take the main character/most powerful role available for yourself, leaving everyone else to merely occupy side roles created only to support you. That's not going to net you a lot of players or partners. Try to take the perspective of an outsider, looking at an RP where they'd be stuck in a lesser role. Not super interesting or motivating.

Your next problem is where you're placing your RPs. You keep putting them in Advanced/Casual when they should be in Free. You're going to get a lot more people interested in free, because free is where a lot more people float around and hang out. People in Advanced/Casual are looking for more fleshed out plots, worldbuilding, and more direction from the GM. Replies are also going to take a much longer time, because of the scale of how much different people write. Some people write replies ever week, some every three weeks. If you want faster replies, you're better off going to a Free section anyways, as that seems to be where your writing level is at.

Finally, just stop bumping and blaming the world whenever someone drops or you don't get the interest you want. You come off as bitter and hostile, and a lot of people are put off by the pressure of having someone constantly bump them. Stop blaming others and take some responsibility for your own actions. And do not @ your past partners as examples of how they've wronged you, because more people will avoid you in fear of becoming the next person you drag out to the stockades.

pssst

don't tag people in unrelated threads just to keep harassing them about not continuing your RPs

EDIT: They probably never replied because they didn't want to continue. You just made them feel bad for having other commitments and losing interest with your copy/paste guilt post.

Ironic how you're accusing us of harassment (when all we're doing is making valid criticism), when you harass your players and partners.

@Scott Silverado Try to avoid tagging members for a random shoutout to some disagreement, like their leaving a game of yours. That, if the person reported it, could easily be considered harassment.

@everyoneelse: goaway, please.
