Name- Samoth Maskono
Age- 17
Grade- 3rd Year (Transfer) St. Laurels High School
Biography-
i.pinimg.com/736x/37/3f/59/373f597467… Samoth is stands above average at 6 feet tall with tanned skin, and has a thin, yet powerful body. One could easily see his powerful muscles, if not for the black trench coat that fell down to his shins. He has light brown hair, and while he isn't wearing his camouflage ACU cap, it is held in a side parting, shaggy cut. He is often seen wearing black leather gloves around his family, and close friends(which he has none, atm).
Samoth was raised in a military family, yet a surprisingly un-strict one. But Samoth is strict enough with himself. He lived on a military base all his life, and was home-schooled, until transferring to St. Laurels as a 3rd Year student, at his parent’s request. Being surrounded by strong military personnel, strict tutors, and plenty of weaponry, Samoth is accustomed to violence. A controlled violence, but violence, nonetheless. He strives to perfect his fighting. With a strong body, and an equally as powerful mind, he began to train and research all he can to perfect himself. He studies unarmed fighting styles, armed fighting styles, and what information he could find on different magics, so as to prepare himself against any opponent.
His prefered style is Wing-Chun. Fast, efficient, explosively powerful, and it syncs very well with his powers. After studying for years, perfecting his mind, technique, and body, Samoth was capable of sparring against the military troops on base. And winning.
Now he comes to St. Laurels’ Academy, by his parents request. His purpose here is to further his magical knowledge, and his field experience in the tournaments.
He isn’t known to enjoy comedy too much, but can crack a sarcastic joke here and there. But consider yourself lucky if you ever see him express anything even relatively close to a smile. He isn’t looking to make friends, and can seem blunt at times. But he isn’t, by definition, rude. He is very focused on his studies, as well as any chances to gain combat experience.
One would describe his personality as stoic. He keeps silent unless spoken to, most of the time. But he watches
everything. He analyzes fellow students’ behavior and habits, while sitting by silently until he has something to input. And when he does, people tend to listen. He also doesn’t appear to even possess a temper, as insults and slander fly right by him, without a reaction at all.
Powers:
Core: Magic Negation-
-Samoth’s core ability is Magical Negation. From his limbs radiates an anti-magic field. The field reaches half an inch above the surface of his skin, and dissolves any magic the touches it. But, the field only surrounds his arms and his legs. This field allows Samoth to strike things one normally couldn’t touch, for example electricity, incorporeal beings(ghosts, etc.), etc.. It also tends to allow his punches to ignore magical armor. Striking magical projectiles causes them to disperse upon impact with the magical field(he has to strike the projectile, it can't just hit his leg/arm). He can also cut through magic fields(such as shields) with swift, arcing strikes.
Lore- When shaking Samoth’s hand, it isn’t uncommon to feel as if your magical energies are draining away. Samoth can choose to disable Magic Negation briefly, but chooses not too. Because he likes that first impression.
Advanced Physical Traits-
-Samoth’s secondary power is advanced physical attributes.
This allows his punches to hit harder, faster, and more often.
It provides him with a noticeable Strength bonus, allowing him to overpower most, if not all opponents of his size in a straight-up frontal confrontation.
It also provides him a significant Speed bonus, allowing him to close the gap faster, and allows his opponent less time to react.
Lore- Samoth has a thin, yet muscled body. Compact, yet strong. But many are surprised by his explosive strength and speed.
Mild Telepathy-
-Samoth’s tertiary power is a sense of mild telepathy.
With this he can have a basic sense of what magic his opponent wields. For example, he can tell whether his opponent’s magic is based off of elements.
This ability also protects Samoth from any magic that attacks his mind. If Samoth focuses hard enough, he can send a shocking pain through a foes head, causing their vision to brighten severly, and blur for a moment.
Lore- When looking into Samoth’s eyes, you may feel as if something is stirring around in your mind, poking at the points of you that are your weakest. His gaze seems..knowing.
Newton Control-
-Samoth understands a great deal about physics, and can use this to manipulate his environment.
This power has many applications. The main use of this is the capability to control and manipulate gravity and force. Samoth can choose to increase or reduce the level of gravity in an area of his choosing, up to 25 square feet. Samoth trains within this field, causing him to have much stronger muscles, and allows him less speed reduction while affected by it. He can also increase or decrease the weight of physical objects. Another use of Newton Control is his ability to manipulate friction. By doing this, he can infuse his strikes with small bursts of flame. He can also warm up objects just by touching them.
Lore- Samoth’s enemies always seem to be unwieldy or inexperienced in using weapons, which people most accredit his wins to, unskilled opponents. But some can see a pattern..
Relationships-
-Alto Ganze: Samoth has respect for authority, where it is deserved. And Alto seems to deserve it. Being so young, yet so talented is something to be proud of. He gets along well with Alto, and seems to be quite protective of him, and respects his opinion, as well as most, if not all of his decisions as Student Council President.
-Clara Deimos Erdrigan: Samoth actually likes this one. Her personality is similar to his, and she is very focused on whatever task is at hand. Even being from a different school, he has no rivalry with Clara.
-King: Samoth does not like King. Not one bit. He does recognize that King may yield some power in the arena, but he thinks the premise of King being from another planet or being an alien, is entirely silly and immature. He would be insulted if King were to insist upon him that he was an alien, and would take it as an insult to his intelligence.
