Appearance: Despite a regular scowl and a rather 'downtrodden' nature, the girl did not have an intimidating stature. She couldn't have stood taller than 5'9" and hardly weighed 130 pounds. She had a lithe frame, free of fat and only had the muscle of a slightly athletic build. A golden ring ran through the septum of her nose, resting just above lips that held a hint of pout. A blue tattooed line ran from under the edge of either eye and met at the bridge of her nose, conveniently signifying the resting point of her bandanna when pulled across her face. The only other noticeable marks on her tanned skin aside from a myriad of scars were two more tattoos, one resting across her neck, simply stating the word 'MONGOL' in bold letters. The other was a jolly roger on her right temple, with the crossbones replaced with syringes. This tattoo was made more apparent by the way in which her maroon colored hair was styled, shaved on either side into a mohawk and tied in the back. Her clothing was simple, plain undergarments that were covered by black canvas overalls which were cut into shorts. She wore black rubber boots and a black bandana tied around her neck to accent it all.
Profile: A lot of people say that they had witnessed the downfall of the Earth, watching the soil and the atmosphere go to ruins, forced into resource wars by new and old governments alike. Even before the supposed 'downfall', in a way, hadn't it always been like this? Perhaps that's what it had seemed like for some, anyway.
For Zoe, the world around her had always seemed like it was falling apart. She could only imagine a sense of stability, picturing the times her grandparents spoke of when there was still work to be had and a community to participate in. That must have changed shortly before Zoe was born, as her parents were forced into the outer territories due to their unsavory nature. What remnants of civilization that blossomed feared those who'd upset the status quo and authority figures found little to gain from criminals and drug pushers.
So she was born in the badlands, tracts of barren wastes where there was no law or society. Tribes of killers, junkies, and the disenfranchised had formed out there, fighting one another for territory and resources. Zoe's tribe, the Mongols, were a gathering of thirty escaped convicts and their families. The Mongols survived by hunting and trading, making money by manufacturing drugs and running them into nearby settlements. They were often sought after by nearby law enforcement and militant forces, though no one would dare enter their turf.
Zoe grew up knowing no other way of life. With no formal education, she simply learned how to survive in the wastes, and how to criminally profit within civilization. Since she was old enough to properly fire a gun, she started doing missions for her parents and the Mongols. Because of this, she had gained somewhat of a reputation and even a few bounties on her head. Between evading authorities and being interlocked in battles with other tribes, Zoe knew that there would be no good outcome. She escaped the feeling of her looming fate by chasing the high of the same drugs her family made and sold.
By the age of 16, she was a cold blooded killer. In a skirmish between the Mongols and another tribe, Zoe planted a bullet in the head of a kid not much older than she was. Although it was a moment that will never leave her, the harsh lifestyle had already subdued most of the feeling that she should have experienced. From then on, it only got easier, and she began taking on tasks that had a more violent approach. Whether it was enforcing the Mongols' will and law or simply wasting cops, Zoe had no problem with killing those who stood in her path.
The Mongols had only grown in power by the time that Zoe was 18 years old. By now, Earth's occupants had come to realize their demise, and although there had been collapse for years now, it seemed that chaos was the new defining law. Zoe and other Mongols began openly pushing drugs into nearby communities, daring both law enforcement and rivals to do something about it. For the longest time, things went on like this. The Mongols gained more numbers, more luxuries, and more influence. Their network of information spread in both cities and wastes alike. The tribe had become an almost common name, fluttering into the mouths of those who increasingly feared or respected them.
It wasn't until Zoe had reached twenty years of age when her already harsh reality had become subject to change. While Zoe was away on a mission, moving a shipment of drugs into a town hundreds of miles away, a rival tribe had sold the Mongols out to a recently formed paramilitary force. By the time that she had returned, her family had been killed, her home had been burned down, and her people had been scattered.
Not knowing what else to do, Zoe continued living a life of crime and drug use, using the remaining connections that she had to find what work she could. Hearing the rumors of E - 6 from some of these contacts, and desperate for a new lease on life, Zoe has recently decided to pursue this opportunity from the only existence that she has known. She hopes to find a peace out there among the stars, away from this black hole of a planet, and to put the past behind her.
