Ferrin Astra

Once everyone was on board, they were quickly away with little fanfare. Ferrin first went below to stake out a cabin for himself. He chose a small one, and after checking the inside, he shut the door and locked it with a spell. Then he pulled out a light pen and wrote in silver letters: M.F.A., although he hesitated to include the 'M'. He then proceeded to cast a weak ward that would deliver a small shock to whoever grabbed the handle. Nothing more than a strong static shock, but it had multiple charges. He stood back and admired his handiwork. My room. He thought with a satisfied nod.

Room claimed, he walked back out on deck.

Outside, he breathed deep, enjoying the salty air and the gentle rocking of the ship beneath his feet. Motion sickness had never been an issue for him, at least at reasonable speeds. However, it seemed not everyone was lucky enough to have this trait. Ferrin noticed one such poor sap at the railings, looking a bit green in the gills. He (she?) was a guildmate, Ferrin had seen them around but never talked. Not one to miss out on a perfectly good opportunity, Ferrin sauntered up to the lad (lass?) and made a show of searching the water below. "Looking for your lunch? By the look of you, it is long gone by now." He quipped with a cheeky grin plastered across his face and humour dancing his his golden eyes.

Trinity Stratos
Phoenix Wing --> Ship to Tenrou Island

Oh, they were moving out for the island now? Ah, she hadn't even packed yet, though she had to wonder if that's ever stopped anyone in Phoenix Wing before. Probably not. She'd just have to make due. She chose to stick near Karn on the way to the ship, not letting them get away with slinking along in the shadows.

Once on the ship, she'd skitter off to have a look around. Maybe take a look at the engine room or something. She could use some working examples to try and fix up that airship from the games. With some finagling, she'd managed to move it to a location she could keep it near the guild until it was fixed.

She came upon some kind of cargo room, she'd guess, and after a moment of looking around, she saw Prince, on top of some crates. "Ah, you're coming along, too? I didn't expect to see you here with us, what brings you?"

Prince

Ship to Tenrou Island

@CirusArvennicus

Cracking his one good teal eye, Prince gave a amused purr as Trinity greeted him and he tipped his hat with the hand he wasn't using as a rest. "Well well well, the lovely fellow musician is coming along on this mission as well? How interesting~" the red head chuckled a bit, finding it interesting that so many folks were going on this possibly dangerous mission.

At the questions, the cat man gave a cheerful laugh and a cheeky grin, tail twitching with some bemusement. "Ah yes yes indeed I am coming along! To be honest, I wasn't particularly planning in accompanying everyone on this mission however since Mikey decided to join the quest, I might as well join him to be sure he'll be okay. Plus help him find some keys if there are any. Besides, if nothing else, perhaps my magic will help with some support if things get just a little dicey." he purred before his good eye curiously glinted.

"How about you my dear? What brings you onto this quest?"

Edarn/Karn

Ship To Tenrou Island

@Crimson Raven

"Ugh..... This bloody magic can be inconvenient.." Edarn managed to grumble irritably, her ethereal green glowing eyes opening as she could hear the nearing footsteps and the voice beside her. It wasn't one she recognized, but it was someone who decided to incite some conversation with the blonde. Although she wasn't sure how well she'd be able to handle that considering the situation she was in of feeling this nauseous. The powerful magical energy coursing through this body, growing stronger under the sunny rays of the sun probably wasn't helping at all either. Since it just gave the magic a power boost, and therefore caused more motion sickness.

Taking a moment to take a calming breath, the blonde raised her head a little and turn her glowing gaze toward the person who had decided to greet her. The first thing she noticed made her freeze and her posture straighten, her focus completely on that golden gaze. In her mind, the world around her seemed to utterly freeze and melt away. Open sea was replaced with a room of white... splashes of scarlet soon appearing and a familiar feeling clutched at her wrists and legs. Binding them in place, holding her still no matter how much she tried to move. When she tried to yell, no voice came. Too overused, too scratchy and dulled out to make use anymore even when she felt the flesh of her arms and legs be ripped apart, bones ripped out like useless parts. Vision blurred, hardly seeing but the red and white.... voices echoing, almost sneering she could swear... one thing different in the mesh of colors she could see.

Golden eyes.

It was that moment, that only split second of reality that actually transpired, that Edarn didn't hear anything in her mind. No voices sneering, jeering or trying to gear her in certain directions. It was quiet. Logic, calm, things that she had built up herself over the long years in order to keep herself in check.... Ru, Rian, Master Jamie... their teachings and the promises she made to them for once had just... left her mind. This was the first time in a long time, that she found herself feeling one terrifying thing.

Pure savage rage.

Golden solar flames blazed around her body, her pure anger and no control powering up the magic this body contained along with the sun to dangerous heights that within a flash of movement, she pulled back her left fist and just about charged while moving her fist to launch a punch against this golden eyed fiend's face. Cold, ready to skin this man alive gaze glared at him. Before moving to grab the throat of this demon, vision flickering back to the white room but this time with her hand around tightly around a squirming weak bloodied child. The sounds of whimpering and pleas could barely be uttered.

"....ack... Please.... I.... I.. sniff..... Don't wanna die...." came the pathetic whimpering noise uttered from her prey. She had won, she earned the right to survive another day.

Golden eyes flickered again, and she could swear she could hear a command uttered from their lips, only increasing her rage and pulling her hand back for another quick punch.

"Eddy wait no! He's a friend! He's part of the guild here! Eddy! Please!" Karn called from within the back of her mind, that managed to snap her back to reality.

She was back on the ship, the gentle swishing of the water calm and pleasant, full of colors of blue, yellow, green and brown. Edarn blinked slowly, emerald glowing gaze looking to the man she had just assaulted, eyes narrowing as those golden eyes irked her but she took a few deep calming breaths. She was calmer now, her expression returning to its calm monotone neutral but her eyes were still firm. Edarn had to be sure, though she did take Karn's word for it... she had to be sure.

"Did you work in Edolas?" Edarn asked, her voice cold, the blazing fires dying down with her rage, but some flecks still sort of sparked a bit.

"Yes, here I am." She whipped up a harp, plucking out a quick little prelude. "I'm sure your support magic will be a great boon. Support magic is not a common thing, but it is valuable, isn't it? Empowering your allies is a good strategy. And since when do these things ever go smoothly?""

"It seems were both here for someone else. I've come along with Karn and... Karn. Seeking ancient secrets or some other solution to their unique problem. Two souls, bound now in one body." She sighed, her shoulders sagging just a little. "I feel like I haven't been much help at all, really. Though, I did help you just a little, now didn't I? How are you feeling, much better? I trust you've recovered fully, if you're going on this potentially dangerous mission?" She remembered him looking pretty bad when she found him.

Ferrin Astra

Okay.

Ow.

Pain blossomed on Ferrin's cheek. He watched the kid's reaction unfold as if in slow motion. He vividly saw the kid lock up upon seeing Ferrin. He saw the emotions flash across this kid's face:

Rage,

Pain,

Fear,

Hate.

He saw the blow coming, but the shock and surprise at the sudden and violent reaction left him unable to avoid it. It exploded on his face with tremendous force, snapping his head to one side. He tasted blood and he could smell burnt flesh and hair. Burning pain clawed at his face briefly, followed by a tingling numbness. His combat reflexes kicked in. He flinched away from the blow and rolled with the punch. He also staggered backwards as his metal right arm swept up in a defensive position to ward off a follow up blow. Even through the pain, he kept an eye on his assailant, ready to react if necessary. His other hand reached out. Ten heartbeats later, the familiar weight of Shiden fell into his grasp. Electricity crackled along the blade and the air filled with the smell of ozone. He pointed his blade at Karn, and barely kept himself from releasing a deadly bolt of lightning. Meanwhile, his mind scrambled to analyze the type of magic he has just been hit with. Slayer magic.

Images of a blood-soaked figure laughing on a blood-drenched field flashed through his mind. On his chest, a scar from a long-healed wound throbbed.

He gingerly touched his face and winced and the renewed pain broke his mental suppression. Burns. He thought. Some kind of fire element. Solar energy? Followed by I have just been punched. Ow.

Ferrin kept the kid at blade's length as he tried to figure out how he was going to handle this. As the shock wore off, anger flared in it's place. What in the hell was that for?! A bad joke?! But then, he remembered. He remembered the look in this kid's eyes and the emotions write large on his face. They were gone now but the memory was there, vivid and bright. He knew that look, that expression.

He had seen it in the mirror. Something else was going on.

Ferrin seized his anger and strangled it. Flying off the handle wasn't going to help right now. He cupped his injury with his metal hand, while keeping an eye on Karn down the length of his blade. "Good morning." He grunted. "That is one way to wake a guy up. Are you always so heavy handed?" A wisecrack, that was a good sign. It meant he wasn't going to kill anybody. Probably.

His expression grew grim. "I have no idea what you are talking about. You, however, have ten seconds to explain yourself before I lose my patience. Ten." His sword was pointed menacingly at Karn while lightning crackled down it's length.

Amaya Vanisis and Cecilia

Location: On the ship to Tenrou Island.
With:Cecilia and Joshua
@Joshua Tamashii

Amaya sighed sitting on the deck near the railing making sure when she needed to lose her lunch or whatever she managed to lose that it will be over the railing "freaking....movement...."she groaned hating the motion sickness it doesn't help listening to the constant swishing of the water and the strong smell of salt upsetting her stomach even more as she just tried keeping her mind off by staring at Cecilia.

"She should be fine till we land....just got to try limiting food just enough to keep hunger down and not throw up what she ate." Said Cecilia sitting on a box "She hadn't even gotten to find a cabin to even sit her stuff in...how anyone get sick on a thing like this I won't understand." Said Cecilia

"It is...a common thing...for most dragonslayer...from what I read..."Amaya manage to say trying to best to keep focused on Cecilia finding it was better to be as close to the floor as possible as standing up as a horrible idea.

"Joshua, can you be the greatest dear and put our bags in some cabin and possibly helped poor slayer over here not look like some creepy cum staring at me into a cabin....thanks dear"Said Cecilia acting like Joshua was some butler as Amaya sighed feeling too sick to correct Cecilia as she figured Joshua would do that

Prince

Ship to Tenrou Island

@CirusArvennicus

Prince chuckled a little, pulling out a red rose from his jacket and twirling it gingerly between his fingers. "Indeed! Most seem to forget how useful it can be because of it. But being able to boost some attack, put up a barrier, and heal some allies can help in the long run." he chuckled, his feline ears twitching as Trinity mentioned Karn and he gave a soft hum.

"Well if it makes you feel any better, no ones been much help with that situation. But yes you were a great help to me fair Trinity! I would of surely perished without your assistance. Thank you." he said with a cheerful smile.

Edarn/Karn

Ship To Tenrou Island

@Crimson Raven

Edarn didn't flinch as a blade was pointed at her, her gaze and expression remained the cold and unmoving, her gaze examining this man for a moment. She didn't respond to the quips and waited for him to answer her question. Despite the demand and menacing tone, Edarn only calmly closed her eyes, releasing her hold and crossed her arms over her chest, having no fear of the threat of the apparent magic user. The flames now completely gone as well as her any leftover rage. If anything else, she was just more disappointed in herself for reverting to that state of mind.

"...I'm sorry, fabrication sewed itself into reality creating a alteration of what I thought was there. Emotional struggle reacted in a negative manner and composure was lost. Apologies for my mistaken of identity." she responded before returning to her previous position with placing her arms on the railing of the boat and rested her head against them. The nausea was quick to return now the rage was no longer there to dull the discomfort.

Damn it. She thought she had gotten so good at tempering down that part of herself and the part of her past broke everything. If she had kept her head, she could of logic her way into knowing that this man couldn't be one of those scientists foolishly trying to replicate magic for their own means. That facility was burned down a long time ago anyway, the event that caused Ru and Rian's death because she was also too angry and stubborn back then that demanded that place be sent to hell.

Even if people who ran that place had survived, they were most likely still in Edolas. It's possible some managed to hitch a ride here when that whole event happened but the chances are very small. Yet running into a counterpart of one of them was slim too, more likely but slim.

Ferrin Astra

Ship to Tenrou Island

Ferrin's brow furrowed at the boy's monotone explanation. He lowered his sword and dismissed the lightning enchantment, judging the threat to be diminished. "I follow. You mistook me for someone else and lost control."

Edolas...Edolas...Where have I heard that name before? Ferrin thought, absentmindedly tapping the hilt of his sword against his leg.

Page 1345, Chapter 112 of Maddox the Mad's Treatise on Alternate Realities. Came the unexpected reply.

Carefully keeping his expression unchanged, Ferrin focused inward. Ah, I remember now. Fanciful dreams of flying cats and floating rivers between theories of grey aliens and penguin-men. The man was indeed mad.

Not as mad as you think.

Ferrin blinked. There was truth to his madness?

Some.

Ferrin was aware that the silence was growing.

Could this boy have met someone who looked like me?

Not just like. An alternate version.

So that means...

To Karn and Edarn, it just seemed like Ferrin had spaced out for a moment.

Ferrin refocused on Karn. Looking closer, the description 'boy' was inaccurate. He looked to be about twenty, only six or seven years younger than Ferrin himself. Strange, Ferrin felt older. Technically he was, but he didn't actually live all those years. This man also had somewhat feminine features, explaining the difficulty he had earlier placing their gender.

"A flimsy excuse, but I'll give you the benefit of the doubt." Ferrin said with shrug. "It was only a punch, thrown in misunderstanding. I have had far worse." Renewed humour sparked in his eyes and he smirked. "Besides, you hit like a girl." After saying this, he held out his metal hand in a gesture of peace. "No hard feelings?" In truth, Ferrin wanted to hit him back--the man's earlier blow hurt like hell--, but Ferrin was far more interested in what Edarn had to say then in pursuing a petty grudge.

Zenoram and Zero

> On the Boat to Tenrou Island <
Phoenix Wing
@Silver Fox@Crimson Raven@Burthstone

After all was said and done Zero had left the guild. Maybe it was the focus on getting ready, or the need to get something in his stomach after his last job. Perhaps it was letting Zenoram take over to get them home and to pack accordingly, but they'd just narrowly missed Karn and Mithera, if they'd even stopped by the guild. Still, the two had gathered a few things: food, a change of clothes and a few other things the two could easily carry in a single bag on their person. Zero took a back seat this time around at least until they reached what appeared to be the boat.

Okay, here we are. Zenoram smiled as he spoke to Zero within the confines of their mind.
Geez, we could have been late.
I was paying attention to the time.
You were in the showered for like an 30 minutes.
We were so dirty!
Wait...
And you never clean right.
I'm gonna regret this, but stop...
What?

Zenoram was pulled back as Zero took control. It was a fucking boat. Hurray. He hadn't been comfortable on one of these in years. Still, that wasn't it. He had felt something. Right now, he was smelling something though. It was as he thought. He hadn't been able to hear or smell before as the people gathered. Zenoram had been just on time, but even resting in their mind, he could feel the magic. Something was odd about it, but he'd felt Karn's. He was better at picking up on these things than Zenoram, even if only slightly, but in order to know he had to use his nose. That was Karn. And Mithera was here.

REALLY?!
Ow... Zero winced. Fuck... Yes, it's them. Maybe.
What do you mean maybe?
There's something different. It has been a long time.

Without another word Zenoram regained control running up onto the ship. Zero directed him and in his excited he forgot to brace himself. However, as he stepped onto the ship reality hit. He groaned. The rocking of the boat was... Unpleasant. He hated it even if he never got hit as hard as Zero. It would only get worse once they were on their way. "I hate this," the young man groaned as he continued, albeit more slowly. Zenoram's lack of access to the enhanced senses and physical abilities of the Dragon Slayer magic was a bit part of this. It was after all due to the synchronization between the large gap of a human's semicircular canals and a Dragon's visual acuity. Thus, unless the vehicle is specially designed to accommodate Dragon Slayers, or if they were to believe that the transportation was more of an ally than a vehicle, they would almost definitely experience motion sickness.

Zenoram's lack of connection to these effects of the magic, as strange as it was left him at a far less disadvantage to it all as opposed to Zero. Still, as he moved and Karn, or rather Edarn, came into view a bright happy smile plastered onto his face. That was until he saw Ferrin.

Ugh... This guy. Zero thought.
IT'S KARN!
What's he...

Before Zero could further question what Ferrin was doing, Zenoram had managed to speed up into a sort of jog. "KAR," he paused a bit as he brushed past Ferin, a sudden heavier rock in the ship also helping to break his voice, "N!" It was drawn out, but still continued to a finish as he wrapped his arms around Karn's body, unaware of the face that somebody else was currently in charge of the body. Just off to the side {I think} was the sleeping Mithera, though as far as Zero and Zenoram knew Mithera was no human. The scent was similar. In all honesty, the two just assumed she was in a smaller dragonic form and hidden somewhere on Karn's person. That was all either could think up, although Zero didn't think much about it at all.

"And what the fuck do you mean a flimsy..." Zero took over to turn to glare at Ferrin for a moment only to be forced back.

"Shhh Zero. Hugging Karn." Zenoram smiled happily.

"This fucker just had out friend up at sword point!" Zero retorted.

"I thought he wasn't your friend." Zenoram grinned as he tightened his hold on who he thought was Karn and grinned.
Shut up.

Ashlyn Johnson

@hatakekuro
Not usually one for sulking in a corner, that was exactly where Ash could be found upon the ship bound for Tenrou Island right now. Rather than being her usually fiery self however, she seemed quite...gloomy. Down in the dumps.
There were many factors which lead to this mood, though the biggest one happened to be the fact they were currently on the ocean. Aka, a rather large amount of water was now all around them. With nowhere to run if the ship began to sink, they were all doomed to drown.
Shaking her head violently, a rather silly attempt to stop dwelling on her rather irrational fear, Ash soon grimaced before rubbing her bandaged cheek. It still stung from where Cyra's sword had cut her during their fight.
Most of her wounds hadn't actually been healed from that fight, since most of them were basically just cuts and scratches for the most. So coupled with the fact they were just minor wounds and her own pride, getting to show off bandages and scars was like a badge of honour to Ash, she had refused treatment for the most part.
She had however allowed her right shoulder to be healed, for the most part. Despite the fact it was still in a sling, it was more a precaution so she didn't agitate it and undo the healing magic placed upon it.
Blargh. So much for magic being so almighty, huh? Couldn't even heal up a shoulder that had a sword stabbed right through it, so pathetic. Casting a quick look around her, she dismissed the notion of talking to anyone quicker than it took her to look at those around her. No one seemed interesting enough, nor did she really know who they were. She had no intention to make friends with those from other guilds after all, she was just here to fight.
And nothing else.
Just when she thought of going and finding a place to a nap, preferably a place out of view so she didn't have to deal with other people for now, was when she caught a glimpse of someone unmistakably familiar.
Even if she barely knew him. Enma the Oni. A real curious bloke, for many reasons. The key one being an Oni. Just that alone was enough reason for Ash to go bother him. She had been meaning to talk to him eventually anyway, just that things always cropped up whenever she wanted to. That and it was a good excuse to get out of the funk she had been in since fighting Cyra, her mind dwelling on it far longer than she would want to admit.
Jumping to her feet, she quickly dispelled the gloom and doom atmosphere around her as she strode over to the Oni. Though she made a conscious effort to sneak up on him, just so that she could land a surprise friendly punch to his shoulder.
Which, considering his height compared to hers, meant she to had reach a little to accomplish the task.
"How you going ya crazy bastard, not seasick I hope!" Greeting the Oni with a toothy grin and hearty laugh, Ash stood a bit up on her toes to try and be at his height.
It didn't work, much to her annoyance.
"So....do you actually know why we're here? I didn't pay much attention."

Jasmine Lockwood

@MarshiestMallow
"But...but.." At Penny's touch, the sniffling girl seemed to relax. Just that simple action and a few reassuring words, and Jasmine felt a lot better. I mean, Penny was S-Class so she must know what she's talking about when it comes to magic.
So if she said that Jasmine would be fine....then she should be, right?
Jasmine could only hope that it was true. She felt a pang of guilt at that thought, of course she would be fine. Penny had said so, and thus far Penny had yet to let the younger girl down. Despite what the older girl thought.
So Jasmine had no reason to doubt Penny, just herself at reaching whatever expectations the Phoenix Slayer had of her. Even if it was a more than a little amusing a Fire Mage was going to help with Water magic.
"If...if you say so." Flustered, the teenager took a moment to wipe some tears while Penny talked to the carriage driver. Once she had returned from organizing their departure, Jasmine seemed a lot more composed.
But she still look like she could break into tears at any moment again. Then again, that came as no surprise as she seemed to always look like she was on the brink of tears.
"...." Jasmine seemed to pause momentarily upon entering the carriage. She had a bad feeling about this all of a sudden. Quickly brushing the feeling to the side, she quickly took her seat across from Penny. She wasn't sure what that weird feeling was, but what could be so bad about a carriage ride? She had basically lived in one after all.
"Um...I..where should I start?" She had decided that it was probably best to try and explain the best she could the events leading up to her sudden gain of a magic to Penny, just so that she knew the context. Even if Jasmine didn't understand it herself.
It took a lot less time to explain what happened than Penny might've thought, even with Jasmine's stuttering and constantly tripping over her own tongue. Seeing as all she had to tell the older girl was that she had just finished breakfast when she felt something strange wash over, next thing she knew her body felt weird all over and she had sneezed water all over poor, unsuspecting Nolan. Aka the 'scary man'.
It barely took five minutes really, probably would've been less had anyone tried to explain it other than Jasmine.
By the time she had finished, the carriage had begun moving. After a few seconds of it in motion however, all the color seemed to drain from her face and the younger girl leaned against the carriage door. A wave of neasua washed over her, her breakfast threatening to come back up yet at the same time didn't seem like it was going anywhere, anytime soon.
"I-I don't feel so good."

Trinity Stratos
Ship to Tenrou

"Must be trouble if you're in a pinch by yourself, though. Stick close to your friends, I suppose." Trinity hopped up to sit on a box, herself, strumming idly on her harp. She sighed softly at Prince's consolation, her head tilting this way and that. "I guess it makes me feel a little better, but... At least I was able to help you out. I'm glad you're feeling better."

"Would you want to look around the ship? I was trying to find the engine room, but I haven't had any luck so far. Have you looked around at all?" As she sat, she conjured another instrument, a flute to accompany the harp.

Prince

Ship to Tenrou Island

@CirusArvennicus

Prince hummed in a sing song voice, pulling out a fiddle from his jacket and started to play it tune with Trinity's playing. Karn's situation was a difficult one, he wished he could assist, but so far he hasn't found a solution to be exact. Many led to the same conclusion where one soul devours the other. In the end, he preferred if his own Karn survived if that event finally came.

"Well I have explored a little, but sure if you would like me to accompany you I would be more than happy too my dear!" the red haired catman hummed before sitting up. "It'll be a little bonding adventure." he chuckled.

Edarn/Karn

Ship To Tenrou Island

@Crimson Raven@Demon Shinobi

Edarn slowly raised her eyes and flicked them toward Ferrin, though now they mostly avoided his gaze and focused on something like his cheek. At the comment she only calmly blinked and gave a sigh of 'really?' if anything. "Your females are incompetent? Like Firebird or your Master of this Guild? How disappointing." she said sarcastically, but otherwise didn't seem that upset and more just... brushing off a fly sort of attitude. It was possible he was joking, and too be honest, that sort of attitude who meant it happened. It just meant it was very easy to manipulate men like that back in the war. Underestimation made it quite simple. They can talk big however they want, fact of getting their face pummeled made up for any jerk off meathead. Also made undercover missions easy too. However, she was happy she, or any of the others didn't have to do that anymore.

Her mouth twitched a little as more memories came upon her. And the fact she was stuck here.

'Too bad you didn't kill this guy.'
'Like you did with everyone else.'
'To children, your friends, your family.'
'Tsk tsk little Karn.'

Oh great, the voices are back. That is just super.

At the outstretched hand, Edarn raised her hand to accept the no hard feelings. After all, she did feel bad she lost control and used her anger against him. Even if he did have the same eyes and was possibly the Earthland counterpart of the golden eyed scientist. That fault of his alternate version didn't fall on him. However, she was interrupted by the loud scream of her and her Earthland counterpart's name and she found herself and embraced tightly by a boy taller than herself. Huh, there is a lot of hugging today.

For a moment, she was about to make a quip but her glowing eyes suddenly vanished to be replaced by a sheer pure joy twinkle in them. Her calm voice evaporating into a energetic happy and filled with happiness. With a excited girlish squeal, the blonde returned the embrace tenfold and glomped Zenoram/Zero like his life depended on it. Snuggling up into the taller boy like he was the comfiest cuddle pillow.

"AAAAAAAH ZERO-KUN! ZENNY! Oh my gosh oh my gosh I haven't seen you in foreeeeeveeeeer! I super duper missed you! How are you where have you been how have you been have you been having fun and having a lot of adventures? Oh oh oh oh oh you've missed sooooo much!" Karn said in a energetic manner, talking at the speed of light it seemed, releasing his tight grip as she hopped up and down with utter excitement. His eyes suddenly glowed again and his joy disappeared to look more calm and a bit woozy.

"ugh... Elly can you.. slow down my head..." Edarn muttered rubbing her temples but soon enough Karn popped out again, eyes returning to normal as he energetically hopped around waving his hands a bit.

"Okay okay okay some and Ashy went into training together on a island and Ashy was all 'as fellow slayers, we should train together' " Karn started, briefly transforming into Nolan to speak the line before transforming back. "And we trained a lot and he was super fun and I dressed up in a lot of dresses and Ashy was all like.." Karn continued before transforming back into Nolan and making a utterly confused expression before transforming back. "And I got to meet Enma-kun and we had fun eating a lot took a nap and this one time Ashy got super duper drunk and I cuddled cause I wanted to sleep nice a cozy but then he woke up and all was like." he rattled on and transformed into Nolan and made a complete freak out expression. "AAAAAAAHHHHH WHY?!" he screamed before transforming back and continuing on. "So we spent two months training and having fun then we went back for the magic games and I was on a team with Icecube and Lazzy and we solved riddles and stuff! Then Prinny was all like," Karn transforms into Prince. "Hey put this on." Before transforming back into his blonde self and making a giggle, pulling at his teal scarf to show the glowing ethereal green round jewel now embedded into his skin at the throat below the chin. Similar coloring seemed to have started to spread around the throat area, tainting the skin and slightly pulsing. Soon enough though, Karn had covered it back up with his scarf to continue his energetic speech.

Ethereal green eyes returned with Edarn taking control and rubbing her temples. "Elly..." she started but Karn again took over and energetically bounced.

"And then I met Eddy who is now inside me and she's super duper cool and she looks just like me and she used to be a robot human person but her soul got put into this jewel and now she's here so she can keep me alive. But she's from a world called Edolas and there was war and stuff and she ended up dying but not dying and now she's here and eat all the ice cream and things and but she was all like 'whaaaa' and everyone else was like...." Karn continued before transforming.

Transforming into Sasha he put his hands to his face. "Whaaaa?"

Then transforms into Penny. "Waaaaaah?"

Then transforms into Trinity. "Wuuuuuh?"

Then transforms into Damian and holds his head, before throwing his hands in the air. "What is even happening?!"

Returning to his own self, Karn took one breath before continuing. "And everyone's been trying to find a way to separate us without killing me but things have been busy and it might not happen but I don't mind because we have fun I got to make a new coolio friend like Eddy! At the games we got into battle and we were doing well despite switching back and forth between me and Eddy but then the guy who attacked Hemlock came around, one of his members used this weird flute thing when I was in Chimera form and I went bonkers and attacked everyone and fell off the flying rock and accidentally lost and I attacked Prinny and I feel super duper bad cause I was all 'rawr rawr rawr nom nom nom' " Karn said as he transformed into his Eastern Chimera form and chomped his big jaws. "and Prinny was all..." Karn continued before transforming into Prince looking dramatically in pain. "AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHH!" he screamed before transforming back into his own self and continuing. Transforming back to his original form and giving a sad face. "And Fira and Trinny helped out and everyone said it wasn't my fault but I felt super duper bad so I sorta left because I was afraid of hurting anyone else and Eddy wanted to explore anyway so she sorta took control because I didn't want to and we walked around, she punched a lot of trees and rocks for training cause she goes pow pow in combat then she made weird gadgets and stuff that I can't wrap my head around but they were super cool to watch be made and then after two months we came back to Magnolia and Prince found us and was all like..." he said before transforming into Prince. "You should pay a visit to the guild, it might cheer Karn up." he said with a cheerful smile before returning back to normal. "Which I super duper was but I was still super scared to actually be in control so I didn't really want to bother anyone so I just kinda took a nap while Eddy was in the guild and then Trinity was all like." he said before transforming into Trinity.

"You should try coming on this mission cause maybe we'll find a solution."

Transforming back to normal, Karn eagerly continued. "So Eddy said super and did it then Mithy came around and I was super happy but I was still sleeeeeepy and she was sleeeeepy and we hugged and it was cool and she wanted to come along and I was sooooo so so so so so happy so Eddy carried her to the boat and then we got on the boat and Eddy and me("I") felt super duper sick then Fenny here was all like" Karn said before transforming into Ferrin. "Trying to find your lunch?" he said before transforming back to normal."Then Eddy suddenly saw this white room with a bunch of red and her skin was all ripped up and stuff ("ELLY!") and she punched Fenny all pow pow." he said while making a punch punch gesture. "Then Fenny was all like..." he started before transforming into Ferrin while waving the sword about and a hand covering his face. "Owwie wowiw whaaaat?!" he said before transforming back to normal then smiled brightly.

"Oh oh oh oh oh I should fix that! Super duper sorry Fenny!" Karn chirped before transforming into his Eastern Chimera form and his large form bounded up to Ferrin. Opening his fang filled jaws as his rough lion like tongue started to glow before running it over Ferrin's face. Using the move Eastern Chimera Healing Tongue to heal up the burn injures and nullify the pain caused by said punch before transforming back into human form and hummed cheerfully as he skipped to Zenoram/Zero and glomped him once more. Seeming to have zero issue with the act he just done and seemed to find it completely normal.

"Then Eddy and him made up and you came here and here we are! It's super good to see you!" Karn chirped cheerfully as he practically cuddled the dragonslayer.

"Ugh Elly.... how do you have this much energy for all that.... I still feel ill...." Edarn muttered as she briefly had minor control, the left eye turning a ethereal green glow. But Karn still continued to hug the dragonslayer.

Ferrin Astra

Ship to Tenrou Island

Ferrin glanced over his shoulder. Just to be sure. He saw some concerned crewmembers coming over to see what the commotion was about. Ferrin waved them off, while remarking to Edarn, "I said girl not woman. Then again, that could be a compliment. I knew one girl would could and would kick your ass if you crossed her." His expression turned sad as he remembered some friends lost. The boy reached out to accept the proffered hand, but he was interrupted by a very loud and enthusiastic tackle-hug.

Ferrin raised an eyebrow.

Then something odd happened: man he was talking to changed. Their persona did a complete one-eighty into that of a hyperactive kid on sugar and coffee, then let loose with a rapid-fire 'explanation', while showing off some impressive transformation talents.

Ferrin blinked, nonplussed. He looked at his offered hand, still unshaken. He used it to scratch the back of his head. He still didn't know the kid's name.

He looked up just in time to get a faceful of a giant tongue.

Right in the burn.

He froze in shock, head tilted upward, eyes watering, his expression seemed to be stuck in a priceless mixture between surprise, pain, and disgust. His fingers twitched on their own. He hissed as he inhaled, bracing for the pain, which, strongly, didn't come. He closed his eyes and let the pent-up breath out slowly, with a calming motion of his hand.

"Gross." He stated, that one word carrying as much weight as several books. He opened his eyes again, glaring at the cheerful man.

He dismissed his sword and used the back of his gloved hand to wipe the slobber dripping from his face. It was not lost on him that the burn felt better.

Ferrin put two and two together and got four, took that four and made a rapid series of deductions.

His expression segued into one of extreme calm irritation. "Right. Now that that is settled. I have a question for you. All of you."

He looked from the serious to excitable boy and the passive-aggressive newcomer and back again.

"Exactly how many people am I talking to right now?"

As they boarded the ship, and settled in, Jarvis kept an eye on Amelia, and at her question, he glanced to Jamie, who seemed distracted, Jarvis turned towards Amelia to answer her, giving her a smile. ”We can do anything you want, Sweetie. For the moment, you do need rest… i know you want to go on the island, but if you’re still not well… “ he said, trailing off, before sighing softly. ”But there is plenty of things we can do… you’ve never been on a ship, have you?” he said thoughtfully, ”Would you like to learn how they run?”

Jamie surveyed the ship, her gaze going over the various guild members, making sure that they were all okay and settling in. She let her gaze linger on the Dragon slayers, and other various slayers on the ship, well knowing about the Dragon Slayers weakness to travel, she was curious to see if it extended to the others. Relaxing, there was nothing that demand her att-

Her eyes narrowed over Karn and Ferrin. What had happened there? Automatically, she was moving. What had come over Karn? Intent on making sure the ailing boy- and the Edolas version of him that shared his body- were okay, Jamie ran a keen gaze over both of them. Nothing too serious, it seemed. No serious injuries, at least. But it was clear that there was something else going on here, and she was intent on making sure what it was, so that she could help.

Or sit them down and ensure they weren’t going to destroy the ship, at least.

Zero and Zenoram got there first, rushing past Jamie to hug Karn, seemingly ignoring or perhaps not aware of the situation that had just occurred and seemed to be occurring. Watching for a few seconds, Jamie approached, pausing at the conversation. She tilted her head, frowning. ”I do not believe I have ever given the impression that I am incompetent.” she said, in a soft voice. She paused at Karn/Edarn’s display, frowning slightly.

They’d have to do something about that, and soon. Helping Ariel and Ethel had certainly given her a few ideas on that regard, and she’d have to focus on that after this mission. It was clear the two versions of Karn couldn’t continue on like this. At Ferrin’s question, Jamie couldn’t help it. She laughed, her voice seeming to fill the ship for a moment or two before fading away over the water. ”A fair question, and if I still carried the souls of my shape shifting counterparts, well it would be a rather larger number.” She said amusing still dancing in her voice.

Michael nervously walked on the deck of the ship, his arms around himself. The last time he’d been on a boat… he shuddered at the memory, and glanced about him, looking for a place he could go… searching for Prince, or Zephyr. He avoided others, for the moment, wanting instead to find his friends… to have some level of comfort around so many people.

”You know exactly why you’re here, Gabriel. Because the King wants you to be, and I must guide you on that path. The mere fact Sanders said you could go, means you are meant to be here. Now stop complaining!” a voice said, only catching Michael’s attention because of his brothers name. He look about curiously. Was Gabriel here? He hadn’t been under the impression that his brother would be going- he didn’t think there were many from Frenzy Plant here, but… Had something changed? He looked around for any sign of his brother.

”But… why me, Leo? Why is it always me?” His brothers voice made his heart soar, it had been months since he’d seen him.

”G-Gabriel?” he called, searching for him still.

”Michael?!”

Michael turned around the ship’s house, and ran directly into his brother. He didn’t hesitate, instead he wrapped his arms around his twin, hugging him tightly.

”You’ll be fine, Jasmine. Trust me. I won’t let anything happen to you, okay?” Penny said softly, not even sure if she was being reassuring or not, just wanting to try and calm the girl down. She had already failed her once, she couldn’t do it again. She settled herself in the carriage, bringing her eyes back to Jasmine once more and studying the girl. She could well imagine what the other girl was going through, and could only thank whatever beings were out there watching over them that Jasmine hadn’t killed anyone with her magic.

Like she herself had. She let out a soft sigh for a moment, easing her those long memories aside, and giving her a smile. As the carriage began to move, she watched Jasmine as she spoke, explaining what had happened. She frowned, not truly understanding, but it was what it was. She didn’t get the chance to respond, as Jasmine looked like she was about to become see-through. She leaned towards the girl, concerned.

Motion sickness?

Pausing on that a moment, Penny frowned, before she rose, moving to sit beside Jasmine and took her hand. ”Let me.” she said softly, before she started to sing softly, magic infusing every where. The beautiful melody filled the carriage, the magic warm and comforting, like hot soup on a cold day, and it hovered around Jasmine, seeking to soothe away any ill feelings. The healing song wasn’t very complicated, and it trailed off to a soft close.

Trinity Stratos
Ship to Tenrou

"That sounds splendid. It'll be more fun than lounging around in your own, won't it?" Trinity let the flute up into the air and both the instruments continued to play. She got up, and as she moved, she held the beat. She danced, to conduct the music. It wasn't always a great movement, but she had to stay in the music, to continue the performance.

And so they traveled the ship. She checked all the likely places (rooms at the back of the ship, going lower through the decks), before they finally came to the belly of the ship, currently vacant due to favorable winds. Frustrated, she stopped dancing, "and still no engine room! Where could they have-" she was interrupted as the ship tossed suddenly, throwing her balance. She tripped and landed, seated, on a bench.

"The hell was that? I know we're a rowdy bunch, but that's a little silly." As she got up, she eyed the oars on the wall. "Do you think we should check on them?" She was taking another look at the room, considering something. She pushed herself to her feet and started to walk the room a little, tapping her chin thoughtfully. Her instruments played slowly. This ship was a little smaller than The Gryphon, that airship she... Admittedly stole. From a dark guild, so who cares.

@Silver Fox

Meanwhile, in the mountains near Magnolia...

Ryan Kregor toiled away in the engine room of the airship with his subordinate. Lezuro was a good mechanic, and a decent engineer. You needed that, with airships. Especially when your guild is countries away, and you've no other way back because certain people had to have their guild marks in obvious places.

Speaking of. Ryan excused himself and crossed the room to the voice pipes. "Hey, Lane. You want some tea or something?" He waited, and got nothing. He signed softly, breathed, and spoke again, "look, I know you don't like guard duty, but we need these repairs done as quickly as possible, and Steph's scouting."

"Oh, I'm back. Ms. Lane said that whatever it was could wait until she got back. I tried to reason with her, but she wouldn't hear it. Something about shopping."

"What." Ryan rubbed his face and sighed.

"I said-"

"No, I heard you. I'll be right up to hear your report."

Lezuro just shook his head as he looked on before going back to work, talking softly to the machine.

On the Ship

Enma

The ocean could go and fuck itself. Fuck the waves, fuck the rocking ship, and fuck himself for eating so much before going on the boat even though he knew he did not have the sea legs. This was the stream of thoughts running through his head as he was heaving over the ship, releasing a completely different stream than the one in his head. This was the first time that he had ever been on the ocean; he lived on an island in the middle of a lake for the majority of his life. The water from the lake was still, but this was a different beast altogether. It was like his insides were being shaken and it just never ended."Why? Why am I here? Just to suffer?" He groaned as he leaned on the ship's railing. Okay, maybe he was able to get it all out.

Nope, he was wrong. Ash's punch jerked his body and almost on cue when asked about being seasick, he was leaning over the ship again making grotesque sounds as he lost his breakfast, his lunch, and snacks. "Please...don't do that again." Enma wiped his mouth with his sleeve and looked at his fellow guild member dully. "Eh, heading to some lost island related to Fairy Tail to stop some dark mages from ending the world. Some crazy shit I guess?" He shrugged as he leaned on the railing, obviously not showing that same robustness that he was known for in the guild.

@Lunarlors34

Zev

For some reason, he felt like he was mostly forgotten. Like, he was pushed to the side because for some reason or another there were more pressing things going on before and only now he was at the forefront. It was like a character from a lacrima show that did not get much screen time finally getting his time to shine after being neglected for so long. It was certainly a strange feeling and truthfully, he did not know why he felt this way.

Well, whatever that feeling was it did not match his concern for leaving his mother to watch over his little girl, Fiona. Of course, he had left her with his mother whenever he went off on a job, but it was a feeling that he was and probably will never be able to get over. It is never easy to leave behind your kid, especially in an occupation such as this though he did not really have much choice. There is always the risk that he may get seriously injured or worse.

Zev was hanging on the deck, sitting on a crate of god knows what, minding his own business while everyone else was doing their own thing. It was interesting to watch the strange members of this entourage and it took his mind off his worries. Who would not be interested in watching an oni vomit over the ship or a feminine cross-dressing boy transforming and generally confusing some edgy looking prat? It was like his own personal freak show.

Royse

Royse laid against the ship railings, glancing upon the view of the oceans. Its just another ship's travel for her, just another... There are some passengers with seasickness, but she'd been travelling a lot back in her younger days as a mercenary. The ship trip is one of the quests she would be taking on. She hoped that it wouldn't be a blunder, not like the last time at Crocus.

Taking a bite from her packet of crackers, she pondered whether she could create arrows that can heal with her magic. Better not take this risk... Her usage of magic is more inclined towards the more offensive purposes, or to put it bluntly, maiming and killings. Healing is a different art altogether, and she wouldn't want to use something that she doesn't understand well enough.

Zenoram and Zero

> On the Boat to Tenrou Island <
Phoenix Wing
@Silver Fox@Crimson Raven@Burthstone@MarshiestMallow

Zenoram must have opened his mouth to speak 6 different times throughout the course of his meeting with Karn. The young man was so energetic, Zenoram had almost forgotten it. He loved it though. A nice change of pace from the loneliness and gloominess of just about everything else he and Zero began to feel, though Zero would never have admitted that. Still, it was something of a treat to see Karn so energetic. So energetic even that his motion sickness of before had been superseded by that excitement. Even more hilarious, even prompting a laugh from Zero in the mind of the two was was Karn licking the utterly confused Ferrin.

"You've been through a lot, huh?" Zenoram said with a soft smile as Karn came back to embrace him once more. He was a bit weaker so he spoke at a slower rate. "Me and Zero started taking jobs. One after another in fact. The brief periods of time we were here was taken up by him training with Damian. Or me talking with Damian." He sighed. "I missed you. But I guess the alone time was important." He crossed his arms and looked away for a moment as he released Karn. "Anyway..."

Before Zenoram could continue Ferrin spoke.
"Exactly how many people am I talking to right now?"

"Tell him 8."
"Stop, don't be mean."
"He had a sword pointed at Karn."
"I thought you didn't care."
"Um... I don't. I just know you care."
"Hehe you're a tsundere."
"WHAT?!"

Zenoram laughed a bit aloud before opening his mouth to speak. However, before he could reply Jamie came over. She replied first much to his surprise. "You used to be more than one too?!" He burst out, his head turning sharply to meet the eyes of the young(?) woman. He smiled brightly as he stepped up close to Jamie, clearly much faster than he should have as he quickly felt lightheaded. He stumbled back a bit catching himself on the rail of the ship.

"Zenoram you've gotta be careful."
"Y-yeah... Sorry..."
"I know you don't get as bad as me, but it still effects you."
"R-right. I just..."
"I know. You got excited."

Zenoram took a breath and straightened himself. "Ahaha," he chuckled softly as he turned back to Ferrin and said, "me and Zero are here." The young man made it seem so simple and matter of fact. "But... We're not... The same." He spoke in increments visibly trying to figure out how to word it. Zero was always so blunt, but he hated his motion sickness and wouldn't come out for anything on the boat, barring protecting Zenoram or one of the others he actually cared about. "He showed up when I was little. I guess... Something like a weird... Personality thing? We don't know. It's not quite that easy. And sometimes it feels like more than that. But even so, there are two of us. And if there are two of Karn... Then it's four?" He said a bit unsure. He could have been wrong after all.

Jasmine Lockwood

@MarshiestMallow
Jasmine wasn't sure what was worse, the sensation of having motion sickness or the confusion which surrounded having motion sickness. She had practically lived on a merchant cart her entire life, so this sudden onset of motion sickness was confounding to say the least. Even on their way from Crocus to Magnolia after the Games had finished, she hadn't shown signs of motion sickness at all.
Maybe her body was having weird reactions from suddenly gaining magic? She wouldn't know, too many differing factors. All that was important was that she felt ill at this current stage, so she allowed Penny to move beside her.
Not that she could've stopped her, ill or not.
Nodding softly as Jasmine took her hand in her own, the younger mage soon felt yet another new sensation wash over her as Penny sung. This was different to the first two however, closer to the first one rather than the second. Where-as that sensation was closer to the warmth of a mothers hug this one was more that of some homemade chicken soup she used to be given when she got sick as a kid. It was warm, comforting and relaxing all at the same time.
Both this new sensation and Penny's voice carried the same warmth to it, Jasmine closing her eyes as she felt the magic begun to do it's work. Her color soon returned to her cheeks, though she still seemed to be a tad on the pale side, as the song came to a close she opened her eyes.
"Thank you..." Mumbling her thanks after Penny had finished her song, Jasmine sat up a little straighter in her seat. She felt a lot better thanks to Penny's magic. Her stomach didn't feel entirely settled just yet, but it was certainly calming down. And she felt a lot calmer now as well, her nerves and anxiety fading away with the song. But also with that, she felt like something felt...well, different. Obviously something was, so she put the thought down to her magic and tucked it away for now.
"That was...lovely. A lovely song indeed!" Jasmine, with a beaming smile, clasped her other hand around Penny's. Her eyes sparkled quite spectacularly, like something out of an anime or cartoon as excitement seemed to be burst out of her every pore.
"Your magic is full of uses....I wish I knew what mine exactly were..." Her excitment dying off for a moment as she pondered her own situation, she quickly shook her head. Quite violently in fact. She was lucky her head was attached quite well to her body, otherwise it might've fallen off.
"What else can it do?" Jasmine loved magic. She had admired mages since she was young, despite her parents....
.....
Despite protests from others.
'Mages can't be trusted'
'Mages are demons'
Such things and more had been said about them. But, with the curiosity of a small child she was still drawn to it. That was when...
...
When what happened?
As Penny responded, Jasmine seemed to blankly stare off for a moment. Caught up on that little detail in her mind.
