Finley Alestair

Location: Abandoned House

Leave it to Bradley to be hard to talk to. Still, she had to try. Not only was Riley alive, but she was rapidly declining in health. Sheriff Bradley was also in danger too, if her vision was any indication. As much as she disliked the man, she didn't want him dead. But how to talk to him? She could scream his name, but that would attract the attention of the crowd and she didn't need that much attention on her. She could pursue into the crime scene, but if the crowd didn't stop her, the other agents surely would.

Then she noted Agent Grayson. She was the FBI agent during the town meeting. Perhaps she could be of some help. Finley inched herself closer to Agent Grayson, hoping to catch her attention. "Agent Grayson? I need to speak to you about Riley. I have information you will want to hear. But can we speak privately?" Hopefully the woman would listen and allow her either in or somewhere else. Either way, she did all she could.

Lydia Weaver

Location: Her house
Interacting With: Robert

Lydia gave him a smile. "Well Robert, let's see about getting you some food." she said to him, before walking back into the kitchen. She wasn't too sure what to get for the kid, she generally grabbed whatever was lying around whenever she was hungry. She looked back towards him, still wondering why he could change forms like that. It was still strange to her, but there wasn't much she could do about it.

His necklace made it clear that he was probably from the nearby reservation, though what he was doing over here by himself made her wonder. "So, Robert, why did you decide to hang around with me today?" she asked, the question was something that she felt she needed to know. The kid hadn't exactly been honest with her, since he had stayed as a kitten for most of the time. Lydia was still wondering what to give the kid, it wasn't exactly the easiest thing, since she didn't really know what he wanted.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: Abe's House

"I can chip in," Jenna offered. She hadn't expected Abe and Kosara to buy her dinner. But she couldn't help but smile slightly - it was nice. Abe was like a father or grandfather to her - more than anyone else in her life. She had problems with her adoptive father and she didn't even know her biological father - just that his name was Scott, he was military, and he said his last name was Jones. She climbed out of the car, her backpack slung over her shoulder.

She hesitated for a moment as Kosara offered for her to move in. She never planned in staying in Red Lake longer than she had to. And even though the thought had only recently come to her, the thought of running away and starting a new life in a big city - maybe Phillie - was enticing. There was loads of work for P.I.'s where the crowds were thick, the drinks flowed freely, and the rate of marriage barely matched the rate of divorce. She then instead just smiled, not even sure if Kosara had been joking or not. As they entered the home and Kosara showed her to where she'd be sleeping, Jenna shook her head slightly.

"I'd rather have the couch, if it's all the same to you - don't want to put you out of a bed," Jenna explained. "Plus, my back is slightly younger - it'll be fine." She then hesitated slightly, trying to estimate how long it would be until Abe would be back. "Hey, 'Sara...What do you know about demons? Hypothetically speaking."

Kosara Koleva

Location: Abe's home.

"Ahh no need, we cannot have a guest pay for the food. What sort of hosts will we be?" Kosara denied Jenna's proposal to give part of the money with a friendly, no objections accepting smile as they had entered the place. Frankly the house was mostly themed by Abe since well it was his place as such the only place that was really how Kosara willed it was her room. Not that she disliked Abe's taste, quite hte oposite.

" It's not really a problem for tonight really, so please accept my good will and let me have this feeling of being a good person." She begged with a smile from Jenna. Kosara wasn't as affected by where she slept, mostly because she was used ot sleep on a whole of a lot worse places than couches. She was willing to back down from it, but hey if she can make the younger woman sleep comfortable might as well. The joy of acomplishing simple things!

" Hmmm demons is it?" Kosara asked with a raised eyebrow and made a pondering expression." Well... quite a few actually. Supposedly in theory demons are immortals. Most demons will search for hosts and frankly even if you damage the hosts they probably will just go away for a lil while to return in another form or something. In lore it's adviced you do not deal with demons. You cannot easily kill a demon, at most you are able to exorcise it away, but it will come back. You know the stories." Kosara stated, making it look slightly as she was pulling lore facts from books." Frankly few things are supposed to kill a demon and those aren't really easy to find. When you think demons you can guess their archnemesis. That aside, salt and iron. They aren't supposed to really touch either. There's also the case with the ancient practices of solomon. The legend states he used a magical circle with a star and some other stuff in it to seal demons." Kosara explained vaguely." Why the sudden interest in demonology, Jenna? Still it's nice to talk lore with someone."

It had been five days since the murder of Mayor Ryder, the weather outside wasn't the greatest, it was currently raining as things in the town were pretty somber at best. Five days ago there was two murders within hours of each other, which left the officers stumped on who would kill two people for no reason. But still they worked around the clock to try and get information, deputies went to ask if they had seen or heard anything suspicious. There was a van parked out in front of the café, though some of the towns folk recognized that it belonged to Robin.

Lydia: Had spent her time during the last five days tending to the kid that happened to be a shapeshifter, and she found out he had come from the native American reservation just outside of town. But he did seem to come back and find his way to her and has taken a liking to her for some odd reason his father, was very grateful for finding him.

Jenna: Jenna during that time, she spent most of it with Abe and Kosara at their place, though she did not say sorry for her actions towards Declan, and mostly just investigated with them. Jeanna during the third day had some free time and did text Jenna a phone number, a picture as well as an email address of her birth father his name Scott Rydzynski but that was the information that she was able to scrounge on him. During the second day when Jenna returned to the townhall which was now open once more, was able to communicate with the deceased mayor. He had informed her that he had done a demon deal in order to become mayor of the town, and a hellhound was what killed him.

Finley: When Finley told Jeanna about her visions, the FBI agent was very skeptical about them, and didn't really believe her, she believed more in facts instead of some 'visions' that a teen had. But she did take the threat to the sheriff seriously, and has given him some more security during that time. When Finley did eventually come to Olivia's house, Olivia ended up telling Finley that she was indeed a werewolf. Olivia of course asked a lot of questions on how they worked, and tried to get as much detail out of her as much as she could,
eventually Finley did go back to the lake, the only thing she could find was the tracks that Abraham and Kosara had found.

Heather: During the five days, nothing truly has happened she was asked to work the early morning shifts with Olivia, and putzed around the house and mourned her loss of her mother. But nothing really and truly interesting had happened to her during that time, at all and was rather peaceful for her.

Declan: During the time Declan had avoided Jenna and focused more on school and lacross practice and spent it with Miranda and Olivia. Olivia kept pestering to see how well he was doing, he had also recived a new phone courtesy of Taylor as well, but nothing recently had happened during that time.

Taylor: Taylor spent her time taking up shifts at the B&B to help out, she would go out to the lake and try and find any sort of traces of Riley, but all she could find out was the trail that Abe discovered but has faded quiet a bit with time. When Taylor looked over the internet she would find a little bit of information on the town itself. Back in its earlier days there was the settlers of the town that would then ended up getting attacked by the local native American tribe.

Harry: During Harry's search for the last few days he ended up going to the native American reservation that was just a few miles outside of town. There were about twenty or so families that were left, the leader of the reservation was a little bit more helpful then the rest of the people there. And he had also promised to help him out with whatever he could with his investigation into the murder as well as the missing girl.

Miranda: During that time Miranda took up extra hours to help out Riley's mother, though business was fairly slow the Walkers did appreciate the help quiet a bit. Olivia eventually did tell Miranda also that she was a werewolf as well, figuring that it was best to know now. The evenings were fairly slow and nothing interesting has happened with her during that time as well.

Kosara: Kosara had spent a lot of the time looking into getting the ingredients for the tracking spell, there was the witch Halsey who had her shop in town. She had given her most of the ingredients for the spell, however she didn't have one that wasn't in stock, and asked her if she could call her when she had gotten it. Her research was a little bit more fruitful, she was able to find out that some of the group in the town were cultists, and that they were the ones who started to instigate the locals which ended up starting the conflict in the town.

Abraham Serafin

Location: Outside town hall where the crime scene was.
Interacting With:

Abe had been up early in the morning he was sitting by his work desk, spending most of his time stocking on supplies, such as salt, and so on. Now knowing that they were dealing with demons instead of werewolves in the town, he was waiting patiently for his niece to come back to whatever she was doing. He was leaning up against the back of his chair with a mug of coffee next to him, as he would occasionally look around the living room.

He set aside what he was working on, and started to turn on the TV as well as an old record player, as some old 50's music started to fill the entire room. He spent it as well as trying to look more into the town's history, and what else there was and for any past homicides or strange events that were demonic related. Which sadly didn't really reveal much for him as Abe watched a Pirate game going on the TV, he didn't much care for sports but he wanted to watch something different.

Jeanna Grayson

Location: Red Lake Sheriff's Department.
Interacting With:

Jeanna sat down in her little area of the police department, it was a former detective's office but the man had long since retired and was looking over the evidence. She managed to get a forensics team out from Pittsburgh to help and get to work on the two victim's bodies, as Jeanna leaned forward eyeing the results on the computer. She noticed that there were trace amounts of sulfur on both of the victims, which was a little bit odd to her.

Jeanna sighed as she leaned back in her chair and ran a hand through her hair, as she opened up another tab she had spent some of the time as well to research into Jenna's father. She however wasn't able to get much aside from a picture, a phone number as well as an email, but that was about all that she was able to scrounge up on him. She would have to put in more calls to her other contacts to see if they know anymore.

Olivia Johnson

Location: Olivia's house
Interacting With:

Olivia slowly woke up and yawned slightly as she looked out the window, the weather didn't look all that good to her as she went to go and head to the café. She wasn't working today which was good for her, she spent what little time that she could to try and get her search for her friend again. Olivia was a little bit nervous still she had told Finley the girl she absolutely loathed that she was a werewolf, as well as Miranda to.

She grabbed her coat and started to make her way out of the house, her mother was out already to do a little bit of shopping she decided to get some coffee, and see if she could get Taylor or Declan to come and help her do a little bit more investigation into trying to find Riley. As Olivia neared the center of town she noticed the van all to familiar to her and smiled even more. She knew that Robin was back in town again as she made her way over towards it.

Robin Marshall

Location: The Dancing Queen – Outside the Café
Interacting With: Olivia Johnson

It had been an uneasy night's sleep. In the quiet hours of the morning, with only his own thoughts for company in the back of his van, leg bouncing up and down in tune to a nervous song, his mind couldn't help but wander to the murder and mysteries of Red Lake; to fantasies of him coming back to help solve the case like Peter Falk's Columbo; to fears of how securely his doors could ever be locked after losing his keys and having to break into his own van three times a few years ago. Every quiet noise from outside made him shudder, so by the time morning came around, his jitters had him up and out of bed, the mattress folded away and every piece of laundry bagged up for a later visit to the laundromat (or Heather's house, if she'd let him use hers again).

Pottering about in his van for the morning took longer than expected for doing nothing at all. Leafing through his newest magazine turned into 11AM without him noticing the time on the dash, and it was only catching sight of one of Red Lake's natives out the corner of his eye that alerted him to the fact that he had things to do. Like laundry. Or like starting the day right, with a big cup of sugar and caffeine.

He rolled down the driver's side window and stuck his arm – and half his head – out to wave at someone he could definitely recognise from a mile away. A moment of instant regret flashed through his mind as the rainwater soaked through his long t-shirt, but he shrugged it off.

"Olivia Johnson, a sight for sore eyes," he greeted warmly, and loudly, enough so it could carry over the distance. There was little use in waiting until she was closer. Robin gestured up to the miserable skies and continued, "How are you on this fine day? Doing alright?"

The last bit was out of genuine concern; it didn't quite go well with the small talk, but with the town's current situation, he felt it was only proper to ask as soon as possible how she was feeling. Hell, maybe gloom and doom was small talk now for Red Lake.

Harry Kingsfield

Location:
B&B

Harry lied half-dressed in the hotel bed, staring up at the ceiling. What time was it? It was some time in the day, way later than he'd normally be up. Anything more than that would require moving, and while he was fully capable of doing so, his body felt like 5 pound weights had been strategically placed under his skin all over, and while 5 lbs didn't seem like a lot, a bunch of them evenly distributed across the body certainly was.

The last thing he remembered was driving in from the reservation and it had gotten quite late by the time he had arrived. Something in the back of his head told him that his lack of a proper sleep schedule and abuse of caffeine had caught up to him. Everything felt awful. His mouth was dry and his tongue had taken a furry texture on its surface. His eyelids felt heavy and the orbs underneath ached. Furthermore, up and down he felt all sorts of kinks and aches that he swore weren't there when he'd passed out.

After laying in a stew of unpleasantry for what felt like hours, but was really a few minutes, Harry managed to gather the willpower to get up out of the bed and get on with his day. Still in his half dressed state, he walked over to his notebook and flipped through it. He'd felt as if he'd exhausted all he could from the reservation over the past five days, at least with the limited amount of information he had available to him at the time. If he had more, perhaps he'd be able to get more than one person to act helpfully, but as of now, that was a dead end. He still had a couple of other locations to check out, so one of those would be his target.

The so-called Johnson House might still be occupied, so that other house seemed like the next best place to check. With his course of action decided, Harry got properly dressed for the day to come and headed to the front of the building. There was a busy day ahead of him, but he wasn't going to leave immediately. His stomach was grumbling and it said it wanted breakfast, and who was he to tell it no. As he mentally prepared himself to eat, a horrifying though occurred to him. Were they still selling breakfast? Did he oversleep through the best meal of the day? Hopefully not, but that was to be seen when he got to the dining room.

Finley Alestair

Location: Cafe

Finley wasn't quite sure where to go from this point.

She had told Taylor and Olivia about her visions as well as the FBI agent. It was all she could do. She was sure Agent Grayson didn't believe her, but the Sherrif would have extra protection (and Finley would continue to monitor). Olivia shared her secret too, not that it did much. Finley wasn't surprised anymore. They both had a mutual understanding.

The only thing she regretted was not speaking to Declan. She hadn't seen him since he ran off. Or Jenna. But, quite frankly, Jenna could suck it. She was not apologizing even if she realized what Jenna's intentions were. You didn't do that to friends. And it was innocent until proven guilty, right?

Finley had to work. She had to maintain some semblance of normal life. Riley was still alive, but not doing too hot. She was the only one working in the cafe (as it was a slow day). Hopefully it would go by quickly and she could get back out there.

Kosara Koleva

Location: Cafe

It was a productive time since the day Jenna had come over. Stuff was going as usual as much as usual for a hunter that is. There were things so wrong in this town that Kosara was learning more and more. Hell this place seemed to have as bad history as it could be. Yeah cultists... killings... all the that jazz that seemed oddly prevalent across the states. Probably because the new continent was new opportunity out of the watchful eyes of hunters... what's more the settlers and the locals left a lot of spilled blood on a quite a few occasions... ' What if... and this is a big what if...' She thought as she made the face as she had just figured something out. She'd have to hit the library later.

Yeah Kosara was at the Cafe right now. She had spend a good deal of time into late night researching and preparing the spell. She got up in the morning and came here to grab a coffee and a breakfast, but the quick coffee and breakfast turned into enjoyable morning slow meal until it was finally 11. She'd have to go check if the last ingredient was delivered from the witch too.

With a smile she pulled her wallet, put the money for the coffee and breakfast sandwich on the table, added a small bonus and waved to Finley.

Lydia Weaver

Location: Her house
Interacting With: Robert

Lydia liked Robert. He was a nice little kid and was happy to have his company over the course of the days. The kid was from the indian reservation, but he kept coming back, which was a little weird. She didn't know any reason why the kid kept coming back to hang around with her, but she didn't mind. He didn't have a reason to from the look of things, but he did anyway. It didn't bother her so much, since she did like his company, and with everything that had happened at that house she was a little scared of being alone.

Robert's father seemed like a nice enough man, he wasn't to scary in her mind. The guy was concerned about his kid, and had been grateful to her for finding him. With Robert coming and going whenever he wanted, Lydia felt like things could almost be normal. If it weren't for the small fact that the kid was a shapeshifter and there were murders happening around the town. She hoped that things went back to normal, that they could catch the one responsible for everything. Lydia never had really been one for dealing with this sort of thing, and wanted it over with quickly. She had become shaken ever since the incident at the house, and didn't want to witness anything like that ever again if she couldn't help it.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: 052 Forrester Drive - Jason's Room

Jenna sat on her twin brother's bed, staring at the phone in her hand. She had called Jason earlier that day and they had went through everything she was about to say - every possible outcome, all of the questions she wanted answered. Her parents hadn't been thrilled that she had been spending time at Abe's house, but one of their co-workers had a wife who was a therapist and explained to them that it was probably just part of Jenna's process of coming to terms with her adoption. Jenna didn't particularly care what they thought. She wasn't planning on sticking around much longer anyways. She was going to get the hell out of Red Lake, go stay with Jason for a few week, and then she was going to find a job working for a P.I. She'd be eighteen in less than a year anyways and you didn't need a high school diploma to solve crimes.

"Jenna Rydzynski," she whispered to herself. There was a photograph of her birth father in uniform. He had been a green beret. Jones hadn't actually been his last name and it was why she had never managed to find any records of him. From what she had been able to find online, he was Russian-American and lived on the west coast. She took a deep breath and dialed in the number that Jeanna had sent her, before hitting the call button and lifting the phone to her ear.

The phone rang a few times until there was a click as someone picked up on the other end of the line.

"This is Scott," a man's voice answered on the other end of the line. It was a little gruff and there wasn't any trace of an accent as Jenna had expected. "Hello? If this is you, Boone, it isn't fucking funny." She bit down on her lip before remembering what Jason and her had agreed that she'd say first - and then she did the oppose of it.

"Hi, you don't know me but I'm your daughter," Jenna said bluntly. Her heart was beating practically a thousand times a minute. Ever since she had received the letter from her birth mother, she had wanted to know more. And while she had exchanged a few emails and calls with her mother, she had had practically no information on her father until now.

There was silence on the other end of the line. "What's your name?"

"Jenna," she replied. She hated being called Gwen. It just reminded her more and more of the lies she had been fed her entire life. She was sick of bullshit and that was one of the reasons she hadn't made contact with anyone else. She had been avoiding all of her friends in Red Lake. Their texts, if any were sent, were unanswered. If they tried to seek her out at work, she'd find a way to be impossibly busy or she just wouldn't acknowledge they were there. She spent most nights at Abe's, and whenever she was home, she stayed in her brother's room. None of her friends had gone to look for her there.

"Jenna Natasha," Scott replied. "That's what I wanted to name you."

She took a deep breath, but Scott hadn't finished on his end of the line. Tears had welled up in her eyes. "Can I meet you?" he asked.

"I'd love that....Dad," Jenna said. She was positively beaming. "I live in Pennsylvania - we could meet in Philadelphia..."

"Square deal. I've got some...loose ends to deal with here. I'll text you when I can come." There was then a click and his end of the line was dead.

@BlueSky44 @Morose The house was fairly quiet for the most part, Lydia would hear the muffled conversation of Jenna's phone call to her real father on the other end. However she wouldn't be able to pick up any words, Jenna's adoptive father was already out that day assigned to work with Jeanna during the day to go over some notes on the case. There was a window that was usually open, in Lydia's bedroom that's where Robert usually snuck into. A few seconds later the kitten would pop up on the windowsill, looking over at Lydia before hopping down and shifted back. "Good morning." He said, Jenna would hear Robert's voice from her room when he said hello to Lydia.

@Dragoknighte When Harry came down to the small dining room, he would see Mrs. Walker there pouring a cup of coffee to one of the guests there a younger man in his early twenties. When she heard him come in she gave Harry a smile as she motioned for him to have a seat. "Good morning, what would you like?" She asked looking over at him as she went to get a cup and also started to pour a glass and handed it over towards him. "Find anything new?" She finally asked, wanting an update on her daughter if there was any.

Abraham was getting a little bit bored as he got up and went to grab his coat and started to head out, Kosara had gone out to town, and he was getting a little bit hungry. As Abe went to grab his coat along with his handgun, tucking it under his long trench coat as well as his cane. Abe made his way out towards his car, and started it up, driving out of the driveway Abraham started to drive down and started to make his way into the town. It was like always a short and uneventful drive as Abe drove directly towards the café, and started to park his car.

Abe noticed the strange looking van in the parking lot, as well as Olivia standing there talking to the owner of the van staring directly at the wolf before making his way into the café. That is when he bumped into his niece, looking up at her and gently patted her, looking at her for a moment. "Why didn't you bring me up for breakfast?" Abe asked giving her a joking smile.

Jeanna Grayson

Location: Café
Interacting With:

Jeanna started to pack up some of her things, she really needed a change of scenery being cooped up in the sheriff's station wasn't going to be doing her any good. That and she was also getting pretty hungry, she had been up very early in the morning already and she also did promise to meet Detective Westbrook as well to figure out their next move on the case. Right now they seemed to hit a deadend on it there hadn't been much in the way of new evidence at the moment. Other then what Finley had told her earlier, still she didn't really believe the whole vision thing that Finley had mentioned.

And Sheriff Bradley might be the next target from what she had said, which was why Jeanna had put up added protection for him, much to his dislike. Jeanna made her way out of the department and started to make her way across the street and towards the café, she noticed the odd van, which was odd to her. But she wanted to focus more on getting some food now, she was getting really hungry and needed some food in her.

As Jeanna entered she noticed the old man, and the younger woman, and gave them a slight nod when Jeanna then made her way over and found an empty seat to get a bit of food, she noticed Finley there and gave her a friendly wave.

Olivia smiled towards Robin. "Eh could be a better day." Olivia said, as she noticed Abe's car starting to pull up, seeing the old man looking at her. She would let out a very low growl towards him, as she watched him enter she really hated the old man, as Olivia then turned her attention over towards Robin and smiled motioning towards the café. "I was gonna grab some food, my treat?" Olivia asked looking at him for a moment before gesturing for him to follow her if he was hungry that is.

Olivia noticed Agent Grayson coming in as well, and entered the café, when she came in Olivia noticed Finley manning the counter and started to make her way over towards her. The café so far was fairly slow as Olivia walked over and pulled out a stool looking at her, she was still a little bit uneasy around Finley given their relationship towards one another as coworkers they never got along. "So got any visions lately?" Olivia asked softly.

Declan
@FantasyChic

Declan sat in the quad area of his school as the hustle of usual lunch rush went about around him. It had been a long weekend. 5 days since he'd really seen anyone except his cousin, Miranda and Olivia. He stayed away from everyone else, though. Part of him worried if that'd make his case any more difficult to prove his innocence, or if staying away might help clear the heads of the confused.

He grit his teeth and growled softly to himself, pulling out the phone his cousin had so graciously gifted him. Of course, on the condition he wouldnt be doing any more stupid shit to get it broken. Pulling up Finley's number, he decided it was past time to talk to her about all this on a real level. Sighing heavily, he typed out a quick text to his friend, as well as his cousin.

** To Huckleberry:
Hey, what are you doing later? I can skip Lacrosse today..we need to talk.**

** To Taylor:
Hey, think you could save me from school, today? I need to get out of this place.**

It wasn't long before he got a response from Taylor. She was working, and wasn't able to drive to get him but could call the office and let them know he needed out early. He half-smiled and replied with a 'thank you Cruz' before pocketing his phone again. all the different food smells were getting to Declan, now. His stomach grumbled, but he ignored it and told himself, "Screw the school food. Just wait another hour and we can drop by the cafe for a patty melt."

Miranda Burke

Location: Heading to café Interacting with:

It had been five days since the disappearance of Riley and the murder of the mayor, time seemed to go by pretty quick but she was able to help Declan a bit he had stayed over a few nights after Jenna had asked him if he was responsible, in honesty Miri did not believe for a second that Dec could have done it, he was in control of himself, she came to this belief mainly from the simply reason of him not having mauled her or any other of his friends. Olivia and Taylor popped round to her place a couple of times to see him but other than that no one else came round.

In the last few days though, Oli admitted to the blonde that she was a werewolf as well, this did surprise Miri quite a bit but she took it calmly considering she already knew what Dec was. Miri came to respect Olivia more because of it as it meant her bestie trusted her enough to know, now where there was one wolf, there were bound to be others, like a pack for example, Miri had become quite knowledgeable of the creatures and now that two people close to her were, she now wondered how many others there maybe?

Today was her day off from work, she had been helping out Riley’s mother at the B&B a few times in the last few days, she wanted to try and help out in any way she could, she just wished she could find the girl and bring her home. She often spent time out on the porch of her home looking at the stars lost in thought, thinking of Riley and the murder, even if it was peaceful and enjoyable for her, she always ended up worrying about her other friends in town.

The weather is crap today, not even lunch time and it was raining which sucked as Miranda decided to dodge the morning jog she tended to do sometimes, already half of her ideas had been buggered because of it but she was not about to let a little bit of water stop her from going out and catching up with people. Jenna was one of them as the blonde teen had not the chance to talk to her since hearing from Declan what she had said.

She had since got ready, had breakfast, grabbing a coat before heading out and driving in towards the center of town towards the café, she aimed to get herself a fresh cuppa before going planning to head over to check on the B&B, thinking of the café… Miri then remembered Finley was on shift at the moment, the two never seemed to get on, Miri had nothing against the girl but maybe it was just a personality clash or something, Soon Miri was pulling up to the café.

Robin Marshall

Location: The Café
Interacting With: Olivia Johnson (and Nosily Appraising the Other Customers)

Though chronically unobservant at the best of times, it was hard not to notice the strange, albeit brief, interaction between an Old Guy –– someone who Robin hadn't ever encountered before during his time in Red Lake –– and Johnson. Did they know each other, then? While he made an attempt at puzzling it out, Olivia invited him with a tempting offer of paying for lunch.

Robin did, in fact, follow, if only because one of the tenets he grew up with was 'never decline free food'. He'd pick up the tab next time, or tip a little more when he next bought a coffee when Olivia was working, but once an impoverished waif always an impoverished waif. "As long as you let me return the favour at some point, then," he ended up saying. "Got a 'real' job again – unfortunately – at the locksmith's, even if it's only a few days a week, so I can afford it once business picks up."

The small-town life didn't seem so bad in moments like these.

He slunk into the cafe behind Olivia. The Old Guy had entered before them and was sitting with another girl, while a woman that he didn't recognise –– one of the out-of-towners here about the case, maybe? –– sat alone. Frankly, if she was a cop, Robin didn't trust that his fight or flight instinct wouldn't kick in, even if he hadn't done anything illegal in years. He shot the stranger a nervous smile. Please don't be the law, please don't be the law, please don't be the law.

As he saw Olivia pull up a stool next to the girl working today, Findley (not Heather, this time; he wondered where she was), Robin leaned against the counter, awaiting service to get his usual coffee with five or more sugar packets to mix in. He was waiting far enough away to be unable to hear whatever secret gossip Olivia was trading, even with his big ears and nosy nature, though he assumed it to be 'girl stuff'. Robin looked away for privacy's sake, even if he could hardly stop himself from trying to listen in.

Harry Kingsfield

Location:
B&B

And with one sentence, his existential crisis on whether he'd be able to eat breakfast today abated. It was as if a great fog that had rolled over his emotional state suddenly cleared to reveal the morning sun. Thoroughly more relaxed than he had been a few seconds prior, the private investigator took a seat at the table and took a couple napkins, placing one in his lap, and tucking the other into the collar of his shirt. It probably looked out of place in such a humble establishment, but the ultimate purpose of the action was the same. His job could be rather dirty at times, but his clothes were fairly nice and he didn't like messing them up unnecessarily. It was just an unnecessary waste of funds.

"Morning, Mrs. Walker. I'll take... buttermilk pancakes and bacon with coffee. Black." Some might consider it a bog standard meal, but Harry saw that there was a reason it remained a staple in diners, and in American cuisine in general. It was a damn tasty breakfast. And simple dishes had a way of showing the cook had a solid grasp on the basics and that there were quality ingredients being utilized in the kitchen. Yeah, those cinnamon roll pancakes with cream cheese filling looked fancy, but there was just as good a chance that it was all covering up a crappy pancake.

"I know it's difficult having to wait, but I have to ask that you don't inquire too much about my investigation." Customers in any industry had a habit of being too nosy about things they didn't understand and then making knee jerk decisions in ignorance because there just wasn't time to fill in all the context required for an informed opinion on everything. So part of the reason for his answer was keeping the Walker's relatively calm. Another aspect was that was that what answers he did have were so out there as to be unreasonable and get him fired immediately. A magical shadow man in the forest stole your daughter? No. It was better to not bring that up. He would just need to find Riley and then never mention it to anyone ever again.

Finley Alestair

Location: Cafe

Finley knew she shouldn't have worked today. Everyone and their fricken mother were coming in all of a sudden. It started off with Kosara, who was just so...odd. It wasn't like she hated the girl, but she rubbed her the wrong way. She merely nodded as the girl waved and felt her pocket vibrate. She took her phone out and read the text from Declan before a blush crept up to her cheeks. She quickly shot off a reply

-"Working at the cafe atm. Yes, we need to talk."

She was worried about him. More so than usual now. Her thoughts raced to Jenna and her accusation against Declan. She believed he had nothing to do with the Mayor's death and was hell-bent on proving it. Now that she knew his secret, it made a lot more sense and it put him in a new light with her.

As if that wasn't enough, the cherry on top of the sundae was Olivia walking in. She appreciated the girl a bit more now, but she wouldn't call them friends. Not yet. Finley merely told Olivia about her visions because Taylor was present. However, she had to respect Olivia keeping secrets, hers and her own wolf secret.

"Maybe not talk about my you-know-whats in an open place, princess. For the record, no I haven't." Finley responded softly, in kind. She went about her work, fulfilling new orders before she returned to the counter. She just wanted this shift to be done with.

Kosara Koleva

Location: Cafe

“You seemed busy back then, gramps. Didn't want to hinder your important pirate show watching.” She replied with a wide grin of amusement as Abe showed up at the Cafe. It was nice to have the company, though she'd be going to the store to get the last ingredient for the tracking spell soon enough.” Apparently the thing we order has arrived or should arrive sometime today.” She smiled as she informed him.

It was then that the FBI woman also appeared. It seemed everyone was going to be late breakfasting in the Cafe. She smiled, gave a greeting nod to the woman in return too. She didn't dislike the law authorities in any way. They were just doing their job and Kosara was completely fine with that. As long as they do not get involved with the deaths of supernatural creatures that earned their deaths.

“Well, meet me later at home after I pass by the store.” She said and stood up from her seat, having already left the money for the bill on the table.” See you later, Gramps.” Kosara smiled and give him a quick peck on the cheek before dashing off towards the store to grab the ingredient if it has already arrived, if not she'd hang around there till it does later today. Might fiddle with some magic while she was at it too.

Declan

It hadn't taken long before he got a reply back from Finley. Yes, they needed to talk. He smirked a little to himself as he pocketed his phone, getting up from the bench he was sitting on top of to walk over to the office. He pulled the door open and walked straight to the person behind the counter, letting them know that he should have gotten a call to be let out early. Indeed his cousin had come through. Or, rather...his "mom" came through. They thought it was his mom who called in. Taylor must have just gone with it.

With his newfound freedom, he slung his lacrosse bag over his shoulder in a more comfortable position before continuing on down the street towards the cafe. He had it set in his mind to have an honest talk with his friend. She was understanding and had defended him against...well, Jenna. He owed it to Finley to give a better explanation on what things were, and how they worked.

Jenna Westbrook

Location: 052 Forrester Drive

Jenna set the phone down on the bed next to her, taking a moment to think. It was the middle of July so she didn't have school to go to - her only responsibility was her internship with the police. She had the day off from work, since they didn't need her there everyday. Most of what she did was filing crime scene reports anyways and ensuring that all of the paperwork was processed correctly. She was a little bit of a glorified secretary at times.

However, she was indeed an amateur sleuth. She heard an unfamiliar voice coming from Lydia's bedroom and she froze, remaining incredibly still. Reflecting on the voice, she was fairly certain it wasn't any of her friends - well, former friends anyways. Her plans had been changed slightly. She'd meet her birth father - and maybe she'd go live with him. Or she'd meet up with him, ask the questions that had been plaguing her ever since she found out she was adopted, go stay with her brother, and then find her own place in the city. She didn't need a high school diploma or anything to be a private investigator. She just needed a good solve record.

She got off the bed and quietly went into her own room, grabbing a Pittsburgh Penguins jersey and she slipped it on over her t-shirt. She left her hair down and she put on a black beanie. For a moment, she actually thought about messaging Finley or Miranda or someone - but she decided against it. It'd be easier to disappear in a few weeks if she cut all ties. She headed out of her room, before pausing in the hallway. She really did like her cousin - and while she wasn't biologically related to Lydia, she felt comfortable around her. She headed over to Lydia's room and knocked.

"Lyd, it's Jenn..." she said, pausing a bit before she couldn't help but smile. "I just got off the phone with my dad...my real dad."
