@darkwolf687whoops, that was supposed to be directed at @dragonmancer I demand you change your usernames so they're less similar! (primarily, don't both begin with 'd')
Still reading through all the posts, won't be able to write anything until I'm back from class in like twelve hours or so.
1 Might- Created Species/Life
...what species was this exactly?
And so Orfai gave unto them the spoken word and their first language, Argunvar, and from that they derived a name for themselves; the Faliargun. It was a primitive tongue, but a base on which they could build and one that Orfai was sure in time would fracture into many dozens of languages far flung from each other. He taught them runes, and the method with which to carve them into bone and rock, that they might have writing and preserve their knowledge. Then, to them he gave instruction to go forth and be fruitful, to reproduce and spread and to explore the world they had been gifted...
3- Give the Faliargun their language, Argunvar 4- Gave the Faliargun knowledge of the written word
I know I haven't really mentioned pacing much yet, but at the moment it is very, very early for the development of society, especially given that we have a civilisation-god of speech who probably wants a chance to do his thing. A few notes here.
Like in any other roleplay, time is a factor. Even if you spend Might to a goal, your creations will take time. Major changes like speech, city-building, terrain changing, and cultural revolutions may take generations. The gods have existed for a few hours at most.
Once we're at the point where we can consider working with mortal societies, many creations involving them will also require your god to interact with that society. What are the people like? What do they do, what do they believe, how do they survive, how do they relax? What does your god say to them and how are they received? Even with short posts, this is important material that shouldn't be overlooked.
Additionally, level one gods struggle to do things en masse. At the moment time is a more important factor for you all than Might. I'll try to start setting up a timeline for you all.
Even with quicker and lighter posting, we'll hopefully be playing this game for some time. There's plenty of room to relax and take a while to play with the other characters before we start with massive creations, and there's no need to spend Might every post.
In the light of this, and at Cyclone's request, I'd prefer if you edited your post to make only a small number of Faliargun (<10), and either declare Orfai's intention to give them speech or leave it limited. Leave writing until a little later.
Or, go ask Promus to do something about it! There's a reason we have other characters, after all. GODS CAN TALK TO ONE ANOTHER, GUYS, INTRODUCE YOURSELVES BEFORE THE MOTHER HAS TO MAKE YOU PLAY ICEBREAKERS
Ender of Knowledge, the Formless God, Clock of Doom
GENDER It with no expression of male and female. The closest human-like Sebna had ever got was a chimpanzee. But apart from that, it had taken many various forms, from talking pebbles to a floating whale.
Dᴏᴍᴀɪɴ & Pᴏʀᴛꜰᴏʟɪᴏ
End (Forgotten) As common sense, all things existed and inhabited in a world of which they considered as “reality.” And in fear of all things penetrating the fabric of reality, limits on beings were crafted. For example, they could only grow to a certain height; do a certain amount of work before getting tired; sleep a certain amount of time before waking for the next day. All have its birth at a given time, calculated to the smallest unit of time, and died when they had completed their trips. And Sebna is the one that is going to greet them at the end of the journey. It is the reminder of which the creator had made for this world on the first day of its limited time. Memories fade and words vanished on hard walls are its job. Making sure all things meet its doom is its sole existence. Extinguishing it would not stall their inevitable ends. If anything, another Sebna-like would be created to remind them of their death.
In its presence, things are hard to describe for the least. For the soft cases, a predator would forget it is hunting and ended up revealing himself. Or, a person would cease his farming work for a few minutes doing nothing before pursuing their works. But in longer cases, where the being is a few meters from Sebna, bizarre things would surely happen. And most changes are not fixable by any conventional means. Trees forgot they needed to plunge their roots deep into the ground to survive will begin to dance; fish forgot that they needed breathing in water will walk on land; and knowledge (words, tome, glass, or anything that has the mark of civilization ) will begin deteriorating to its very fundamental forms at an alarming rate. Gods in this close proximity would feel a strange unhappiness when staying this close to Sebna, just as all things do when Death is next to them.
It is quite hard to describe what can Sebna’s power do as its power have a direct link to the meaning of existing and the purpose of life. But what Sebna does is finally extinguishing all will to survive as well as destroying all trails of knowledge. That is it. There is nothing more than that nor anything less than that.
If being put to compare, Sebna would probably be something like a massive eraser that specializes in wiping sentient and alive beings’ minds and instincts to nothingness.
Aʟɪɢɴᴍᴇɴᴛ
Possibly Neutral-Lawful as there are still some rules that it abides by. + It shall not kill or join in any plans of which ending another god's life + It shall never abandon its duty + It is allowed to protect its life in life and death situation
Pᴇʀsᴏɴᴀʟɪᴛʏ
. But it is quite childish, sometimes naive and playful. But there are also times when it is logical and filled with strange radicals moments. Maybe the best word to describe is something similar to multiple personalities within one. But don't worry, the being couldn't even talk in its basic form. After all, have you ever heard a talking mist? As such, Sebna would never use complicated and old words like "Thee" or something alike. Most of its commandments are basically just what it is said. A naive and playful god
Gᴏᴀʟs
Sebna has always dreamed of having a family that lasted for eternal. It is always lonely to be the person that left behind, spending in the blank state of the world.
Aᴘᴘᴇᴀʀᴀɴᴄᴇ
A mist and anything that Sebna wanted or it likes. But the clear indication of its existence is the appearance would always compose from a mist.
@ScarescrowI think the question is, in the long-run, how do you see Sebna contributing to the world and developing? Being a massive eraser is somewhat restrictive - can it even create with a Domain(Portfolio) like that? Moreover, players who have decided to play gods who are more of a non-sentient force rather than a truly sentient being have struggled in the past. It's difficult to give something that is simply a force much characterisation or develop complex plot-lines. You might be able to do well and enjoy the novelty for a while, but eventually you're likely to get stumped. We had a terrific player who took up a non-sentient goddess previously, and though he did simply amazing things, he eventually realised that playing something like that really became dull after a while. With that in mind, I'd very strongly recommend you consider something more flexible in the long-term than Sebna. If you're dead-set on Sebna though and really think you can do wonders with it, that's your call.
edit: after a more detailed reading of the CS, perhaps Sebna is not quite as non-sentient as I first thought. Carry on old chap

This is much better! Ending things by allowing them stop doing what they do to stay alive.
I'll accept it, but do keep in mind that there still isn't much of an example of how or why or when it might use these powers, so please either provide an example of some kind in the goals section, or, if it doesn't or doesn't know how to apply its powers to its goal, state that.
Yeah, I didn't want to be a buzzkill but I do request that you step back Orfai's action a bit. You've kinda stolen my thunder! Perhaps you haven't had the chance to read my CS or didn't remember Promus, but his entire character revolves around the idea that he is the one who bestows speech to mortals. Now, it needn't be as complete a monopoly as my CS makes it sound under his portfolio description, but to do so much and so soon just leaves Promus uselessly hanging out on the margins. It'd be like if I just created dragons before Grimloq even got to hatch his dragon eggs.
I'm happy to do some sort of collaboration in which Promus helps to raise up civilization among the Faliargun (or any other race that the rest of you make, for that matter) or even for you give them something like a sign language, or anything else really.
Less than 10 individuals is far too small a population size to to be viable; They wouldn't survive enough generations to develop much of anything due to genetic problems from inbreeding. I won't pretend to know the average size of a school of fish and I know they vary widely, but I'm fairly sure that a single one being the extent to a species population would be a dangerously small population as it stands.
Edit: @Cyclone No worries mate, it isn't a bother at all to change.
I do not think this RP will follow it as the previous one did, but it can be a good way to have some reference.
@darkwolf687 Does it matter if we are talking about a divine sample? I mean, unless you want to take genetics into consideration, just don't feel forced to follow it.
On the topic of population size, seeing as there are literal gods running around and magic will be flung about, I wouldn't worry so much about the science of genetic diversity. Plenty of mythos have incest and tiny progenitor populations etc. and it all works out fine for them
