That is right people, today we are basing a RP within a lovely little place called Fabletown. For those of you that know the games you get the jist of what is happening, but for those that are unclear, otherwise you may want to research it, it is a town where the fiery tales, and some legends, of old now live within a place called Fabletown due to a invasion of their old homeland by one called The Adversary.
Fabletown is a community located on Bullfinch Street in Manhattan's Upper West Side. To regular people (or mundies), it appears to be an ordinary New York neighborhood. But it is really the home of Fables from many worlds, and within the business office at the Woodlands lies a massive cavern, a vast library, and hundreds of magical items of immense power. All non-human fables live upstate on The Farm, an extension of Fabletown. Also, the farm sucks... Pretty hard.
Basic Info
YOU will be playing these fables, but before you ask sadly no, you can not play Bigby. You will be allowed to play a existing fable, or if you are REALLY good at making a fable, I will allow OC fables to be introduced.
Me and my Co-GM experta will be running this and we already have a story based around a new drug and the reason everyone is worried. All we need now is some players willing to take part in this RP so that we can build it a little more personalized to your characters.
You all know the basic rules of RPing I presume, also you know stuff about the games or the books, but if you need any information then it will be added to the OOC as needed. Also remember to put "My Lips are Sealed" Under your CS
ACCEPTED!
King Cole
"Old King Cole was a merry old soul And a merry old soul was he. He called for his bowl and he called for his pipe And he called for his fiddlers three. Every fiddler, he had a fiddle And a very fine fiddle had he. Oh, there's none so rare, as can compare With King Cole and his fiddlers three."

Personality
"A Mayor is a servant of the people, not a ruler"
King Cole is a kind, and well-liked figure in Fabletown. He is the one who is responsible for the founding of Fabletown, and the tales of his selfless deeds whilst he led the initial group of fables to Fabletown had him almost unanimously elected mayor. It is said that while leading his group of fables in an attempt to flee the Adversary, he sacrificed his portion of rations to the rest of the group, demonstrating his selfless nature.
He is a cunning diplomat, and knows how to keep spirits high, allowing him to achieve relative success as the mayor of Fabletown. His darkest moment was undoubtedly having to send the fables unable to make use of the glamor to the farm, a decision that spread doubt about him amongst the residents of Fabletown, and ultimately a decision he loses sleep over to this day.
Nowadays, much of the real work is completed by his deputy-mayor Snow White, albeit he still serves as a good figurehead for the residents of Fabletown and is eager to do what he perceives to be morally right for the residents.
A fan of the fables series wrote a small description of King Cole, which I thought summed up his duty as Mayor quite well;
"but it is easy to assume that the old man is little more than a figurehead allowing Snow White to do all the real work. In large part this is because the man seems so relaxed with power and is so kind that it is difficult to see what he is doing"
Fable
Taken from Fable lore
King Cole was the king of a very small kingdom. He was married and had three daughters, two of whom were married. When the Adversary advanced to his kingdom, it took them only a day to conquer it.
King Cole hidden from the enemy in an abandoned tin mine, where a group of his subjects had hid as well. He decided that they should hide there as long as possible and often skipped meals to make their supplies last. Eventually, they ran out of food, so they began raiding a nearby farm for supplies.
Once the Adversary left only a small occupying force behind and he heard that his family was killed, King Cole decided it was time to leave. They moved along, eventually hearing about the Sanctuary World.
King Cole was able to successfully lead his citizens to Fabletown. He was elected almost unanimously as mayor of the town during it's first election and has been re-elected every time since.

Name: The Bogeyman, Booker Mathews
Nickname: Boogie
Race: Monster
Gender: The name is Bogeyman take a guess
Appearance:
Glamor
Booker is 6'3 in height with a thin body build. His skin is a very light pale color, almost rivaling Snows', and his hair is a ebony black color. His eyes are a dull yellow color that he clams to just be hazel to the mundies.
No Glamor
With out his glamor Boogie is literally something out of nightmares. He is a even 8 feet tall with an almost skeleton like build. He has no hair but rather multiple horns and his skin becomes a void like color. His hands become large claws and his teeth becomes razor sharp fangs. He also sprouts two bat like wings. A shadow like mist also replaces his legs. Boogie's eyes also turns into two glowing yellow balls.
Personality: As you'd expect Boogie is a mischievous, creepy, and rather childish person, though the word person is only used loosely. What seems to shock most people is his honesty, he rarely lies and seems unable to keep one going. He is rather loyal person, seeing the whole of Fabletown as kind of family that he is apart of. But what really gets people is how he is a hopeless romantic, loving romance novels and movies, sadly though he seems to scar off any potential happy ever afters.
Fable: Before he left the homelands Boogie was a monster that terrorized wicked children with their own fears. He was the being that made people keep the candle on their night stand let all night, the reason parents told their kids to stay in when it was dark, but most importantly he was the reason people checked under his bed before they went to sleep. Despite the horrifying rumors that shrouded his name Boogie never ate the children he took, he merely filled their minds of their greatest fears until they swore they would never misbehave again, nothing to bad. Sadly that all changed when the Adversary started to take control of the homelands. Sure Boogie put up some sort of a fight but like so many Fables he eventually decided to abandon the homelands for somewhere new. He settled in Fabletown like the others, signing the Fabletown Compact. Boogie spent a few centuries doing random jobs just to get by but recently he opened his own Costume/Joke shop called Oogie Boogie's naughty thoughts.

Name: Rozalin the Caged Witch
Nickname: Witch , Rozalin
Race: Human / ???
Gender: Female
Appearance:
More realistic if you wish vvv
Normal clothing: You will never see Rozalin without a hoodie on, when out in the streets. Over this hoodie she normally wears a jacket in the winter and a pair of jeans, though in the summer this is just a hoodie, a long skirt and stockings. On her person she walks with a cane and a shoulder bag which contains certain... things that she needs for her job. Her 'true form' has not yet been seen.
Personality: Despite her looks Rozalin is a rather outspoken person, always stating what she wants/means in a very blunt way. She has little respect for the other witches on the 13th floor, and so is much more out going than her 'sisters'. Well this applies to almost everyone else other than King Cole himself as she seems to have a certain amount of respect for him. She is slightly upset she never had a real 'Happily Everafter'
Fable:
There was once a which that spun webs of gold
To make magical gowns, so lovely and renowned
As by the kings word she was told.
To make them vibrant and bold
But a grudge against them she did hold
Curse those that had her chains tightly held
Now only for herself dose she spin her webs of gold
Rozalin was held captive by a evil king and forced to work day and night to make magical clothing for this kingdom, however using the very clothing that she crafted she destroyed the kingdom and fled. During this time she was mistaken for any normal wicked witch, but when she came across King Cole he took her in after hearing her story, treating her like one of his own. At the time of the invasion she helped as many people as she could escape from Cole's kingdom into the tin mine, and then out into the world. She now lives on the 13th floor with the other witches, but often leaves without permission to see others and Cole himself.

Name: Momoko (Officially, it's Momotarou, the male version of her name)
Nickname: Momo
Race: Human? (She was found in a peach when she was a baby. Not exactly how humans are born, now is it?)
Gender: Female
Appearance:
Personality: Hard working, loyal to her family and friends, kind, reckless (tends to get herself in trouble sometimes), and determined. Hates Ogres.
Fable: Hundreds of years ago, an honest old woodcutter and his wife found a peach. Within that peach was an infant and they named her Momoko, and raised her. Unlike most girls, Momoko grew up to be strong and a brave soul. One day, Momoko decided to go on a journey to ogres' island and steal their treasure. The foster parents warned her against it, but she was resolved to go and the foster parents gave her millet dumplings. Along the journey, Momoko befriended a monkey, a pheasant, and a dog. Together they reached the island and fought the ogres. Momoko and her friends were victorious and Momoko took the ogres' treasures and brought them back, and she and her family and friends lived happily ever after…at least, that's how the fable went.
After that happily ever after though, the ogres killed her family in revenge and she in return killed the ogres responsible for killing her family. After that, she lived until it was time to move to that new world. In this new world, she came to realize that what she did to the ogres was wrong in the first place, even though she did what she did in order to help her family. Now, she aspires to be part of law enforcement. Every day, she trains and keeps up her skills as a fighter. Her three friends are glamoured and are rooming with her now.

Name: Gideon Armstrong
Nickname: "Wyldefae"
Race: Half-Human, Half-Faerie
Gender: Male
Appearance:
Gideon in his prime, before the Homelands were conquered and he was driven out.
Personality: Mercurial and inscrutable, Gideon is more often than not jovial to people he meets for the first time, but there is no guarantee that he will treat the person the same way the next time he will meet them based on changing circumstances. He keeps his true intentions hidden, and although he is tough to read, he does have a caring heart for those in need.
Fable: The Changling Child, Gideon was a stolen from his human crib when he was a baby by one of Sidhe, the Fae Lords. Taken into the realm of Tir Na Nog, the realm of the Fairies, he was raised as a Fairy Child, gaining many Faerie characteristics such as black eyes, pointed ears, paler skin, along with agility and finese as his blood transfused with the intense magic to become half-Fae . Upon reaching adulthood, his God-Mother took him under her wing as her personal representative between the Summer and Winter Courts, where he learned the byzantine intrigues of Fairy politics and the constant exchanges and bargains for greater power.
He hated his job as nothing but a dignified half-bred messenger, but being bound to his God-Mother he had little choice, until his God-Mother grew tired of him and gave him to both Queens of the Summer and Winter Courts as a gift they would have equal claim on depending on where his soul lay "hot" or "cold". Seeing the benefit in playing off of both sides, and knowing that even a half-Fae's soul alignment determined which court it was bound to serve, Gideon made certain to keep himself balanced in everything he did. He was inscrutable, one day he would help a particular Fae, the very next he would kick them out of the way. Another day he would kill troll, and in the next hour he would pay living expenses for that troll's wife. It was ludicrous, amoral, and extremely selfish, but that fit him right in with the Faeries and it secured him his position as Mediator between the Faeries of Summer and Winter, with the Queens, Lords, and Ladies of each side bidding with handsome bargains or ransoms for his services. This also included Fae dealings with other non-Fae races, where he kept up his strict philosophy of maintaining balance.
Thing got shaken up quite substantially when the Adversary conquered the Homelands, Tir Na Nog was shattered and the Faerie Queens took off to the Mundy World with as much of their Courts as they could. But even in the Mundy World, their rivalries persisted, and now they had the perfect targets to trick, bargain, and persuade into deals to take advantage of people, Mundies. As for Gideon, he found his role had changed now to that of a Diplomat from the Queens between the newly formed Fabletown and its administration, led by King Cole as Mayor, as the Queens did not wish to bring themselves together for fear of their combined magic causing havoc on the Mundie World at large, or simply drawing unwanted attention to The Woodlands. Now, he represents the interests of the Sidhe Courts working to ensure that they heard, and works to deal with what he calls their "domestic issues". Even having gone to a new world, some things never change.
Belongings: Small one bed-room apartment, number 33 on the third floor of a set of low rent Apartments several blocks away from The Woodlands "Lady Liberty Apartments". There he has an ice chest filled with bread and assorted veggies, dozens of candles, a writer's desk, a small Davenport sofa, and a puzzle-box safe wherein he keeps these items: A Fae-crafted Blade to symbolize his authority as Mediator, 13 ounces of gold exactly, and his records of Fairies and their correspondence, written in Irish Gaelic.
He wears a soul stone necklace (used to keep track of his alignment, it looks similar to a "Mood" stone), a key to the aforementioned safe, one set of jeans, a dark green overcoat, running shoes, and a baseball cap for the Celtics.

Name: Mickey Gillespie
Nickname: 'Flypaper Gillespie', 'Mick', 'That Fucking Irish Midget', 'Asshole', various other uncomplimentory names.
Race: Leprechaun
Gender: Male
Appearance: Mickey looks pretty average for a Leprechaun, standing at a diminuitive 3 and a half feet, though broad of the shoulder and thick in the neck. His face is pretty brutish, with thin lips, a large, broken nose and a perminant sneer. His bright orange hair is starting to go gray and thinning at the top, though his muttonstace is as impressive as it ever was. Like most of his kind he favors cheap, green tweeds and a bowler hat, though he also sports a pair of expreisve gold-rimmed, purple-lensed specticals (More for show than for poor vision). In his glamoured form he appears to be little more than a tall, bull-necked bald White man with a penchent for jeans and bowling shirts.
Personality: Mickey can best be described as, in the words of Bigby Wolf, "A low-life piece of shit that'd let every AIDS-ridden druggie in New York have a go at his sister for a hundred bucks." He's a cheat and a totally untrustworthy creature, only managing to escape the Witching Well because he's good at covering his tracks. There is very little he won't do to make a profit, though he is a coward at heart, and as such usualy has some hired help to protect him.
Fable: There isn't much to be said about this piece of work. Back in the Homelands he made a comfortable living rooking just about everyone he came across. From (According to his word) Jack and his magic beans to convincing the Three Little Pigs to cut the costs on the contruction of their homes and then tipping off Bigby, he had a reputation as the preminant con-artist around. These days, though, he's down to working as a fence and petty drug dealer out of his Irish pub, O'Mallory's. Lately it's been rumored that he's selling black market glamours to the poorer Fables, and even more sinisterly, dealing magical items to Mundies, though nobody's been able to prove that. Not suprisingly, he gets along well with folks like Georgie (of who's club he is a regular customer), and rumored to be on Bluebeard's payroll.
Belongings: O'Mallory's, an Irish dive bar in the East Bronx not far from the Trip Trap. Woodlands Appartment 47. Plenty of cheap black market glamours and various drugs laying around his appartment for sale (though the weed is for his personal use.)

Belongings: O'Mallory's, an Irish dive bar in the East Bronx not far from the Trip Trap. Woodlands Appartment 47. Plenty of cheap black market glamours and various drugs laying around his appartment for sale (though the weed is for his personal use.)
