Oh I know but I figured as a demon he would try to obtain skills that would protect him from his greatest weakness which would be holy and light magic. If that isn't the case then I would instead turn them into evil skills

@Jangel13Then they should be mentioned as a part of his racial class. Resist blank implies either your main class, or one of your subclasses involves the ability to resist something. Resist holy for example would probably belong on something like an elder litch, or demon.

@vancexentan

So instead of simply listing them I would say:

Name:resist holy
Racial class specialisation:demon
Effect: protects the user from holy magic and holy magic blessed weaponry
Description: the users class gives resistance to the holy magic as a shadow demon.

That sound right?

Yes but then there comes the whole question of what a demon is doing in a guild specifically grafted towards humanoid characters. There were undead, and such in the guild but they were a minority for the most part due to the aesthetic nature of the guild. More over demons don't resist holy by nature hence why exorcisms work. That'd be a subclass of demon, specifically mage.

Well as for joining the guild itself I had hoped I made that clear that while Shiba is a demon he has the same passion for justice that the majority of humans do, believing in gaining justice with one's own hand. If that wasn't enough he actually wanted to be in the minority because he considered the humans as the sun that could freely interact during the day but Shiba would be their blade in the dark if you catch my drift. No holy empire is without their unholy enforcers kind of mindset for him.

As for subclass of demon you confused me because I saw the two main classes of demons, those that do evil by violence and those that just intelligence to instill depravity. The only shadow demon I have as a reference is sebas and he didn't seem to be a mage. I could be wrong of course since I've only seen the anime

Demons have subclasses: Succubus, Incubus being the obvious two. But there's probably more along the lines of Death Cultist, Hell Warrior, or Hell Lich that could have feasibly existed in Yggdrasil.

More over the guild in the game was not run by justice worshipers, nor were they all good. Doux, and Greybeard made the guild with the intent of it just being a PVE thing but Doux would later help turn its aesthetic into more of a roman empire sort of deal. The guild's style was 'Man was King' hence why Claudius says 'Man is great for god needs man to bow to make him strong' or something along those lines. They're not goody two shoes they're law bringing, Knight Templar, conquerors. There is a branch of them like Dolton who see 'justice is the solution' but they only do so because 'law bringing is needed for order to exist'. They're not all Lawful, or neutral good. Claudius is flat out chaotic neutral. Severnus is Neutral Evil.

The argument could be made because guild founder, and world disaster, BorntobeBad was undead. But he was also specialized heavily in damage magic, and the like as he was basically a walking talking AOE Nuke by the time the game ended. The closest they let in were undead, black mages, and the like. They didn't exclude others because of their race but because they didn't fit the aesthetic of the guild. For example having an overlord like Momonga would be weird when the primary defender of the guild are a bunch of knights in full armor, and grunts in silver armor its jarring.

Rogues don't typically buff stack. They debuff, and deal quick damage, and disable traps. They stab, mark, and allow allies to do additional damage.

Would that mean that I could get creative with my demon so to speak? Cause I intentionally had the idea for a sort of wisp like character, the ghost that terrified you before stabbing you sort of deal but I wasn't sure if I was allowed to move away from the known classes.

As for the guild I honestly didn't know that I had didn't think the guild would be so pro human and pro chaos. If that was the case then my character would have more likely joined a guild of non humans that believed in justice but I would have no clue if such a guild would be allowed here. After all the title stated this specific guild so I assumed I had to be a part of it in some manner.

Finally thank you for explaining that I will adjust my skills accordingly once I fully understand the situation of what my character can actually be and where he is in terms of this new world. I would rather he not be alone because he is weak a fighter and needs allies to fight with or someone to give him orders on which person to assassinate.

You're free to be creative Yggdrasil had a lot of things but it can't be intruding into Angel territory.

They aren't pro-chaos that's the name. They're just really really not good guys. The npc's, and the general atmosphere around the guild was that of the roman empire because that's how Doux, the main founder, intended the guild to be with Greybeard seeing over the npcs, and the members.

That's fine I'm here to point out flaws. He'd be covered by Dolton, Claudius, or Grey or anyone else in the field.

Thanks I'll look into my ghost like demon then.

As for the guild I can understand that it's more like the Roman Empire but I want my character to have a clear character role. As an empire it would need enforcers to do dirty work and the like. I want my character to be the type that seeks justice with his own hands and if the guild would accept him as he is being a demon which would most likely be very out of place in such a guild with mostly humans.

Which is what Severnus's Frumentarri are. They're spies, thugs, and saboteurs. They function as the left hand of the Emperor to Claudius's right hand. Severnus is made personality wise where he's so dead inside that he is willing to seduce the nun, and then rip her throat out when he has the info he needs to then burn down the church. Claudius has morals, and an army to keep care of so he must rely on the cold Severnus to deal with other people in less honorable ways. You can be a part of another guild. That guild just will likely hold little barring, and the npc's will certainly not respect you for awhile due to your nature.

Bingo! That's the one Frumentarri sounds so much more like my character and is perfect in line with his character. He will of course refuse to do certain acts but will fit in much better with them because of his race and class.

By the way I am having trouble coming up with the right name [@everyone] does anyone know a good name for a wrath like monster? White kind of spectral ghost with the whole walking through walls, terrifying appearance, all that stuff

Just so you know I can only allow things to go so far. Yggdrasil was a game, and there's bound to be some game breaking stuff if you go to far into ghost territory. Melee weapons will still hurt you to some degree is a good example.

Yeah don't worry about that I know not to go to far with it, it wouldn't be fair if I was immune to melee. I would only have a limited time to be completely ethereal and walk through walls of course.

That said my biggest problem is just coming up with a name! Grrr ghost sounds to plain and arm with doesn't give me the terror factor I want and a revent is innacurate because I'm not a corpse

Alright added a few different skills, made him a spectral wraith instead and made him a member of the guilds Frumentarri system. I also changed out the part in my bio about believing in their justice and switched it with joining their Frumentarri

@Jangel13Alright I'll accept it but the Frumentarri aren't a sub guild. They're a small part of the overall Imperri faction. The Army of Valor is Claudius's grunts. The Clerics of Man are Grand Patriarch Hardin's men. And the Frumentarri are Severnus's spies. So I'm assuming your comfortable working under Severnus, an npc?

glad to hear it as for working under a servant I can live with it. He will still do what he does best and that's sneaking around. Like I put in the bio he won't always listen but will when it counts

Yggdrasil Username: FloweryBastard
Name: Basilio Calathium (Vincent Amaranth in Real Life)
Race: Half-Elf
Gender: Male
Character Level: 90
Alignment: Chaotic Good
Guild/Party Affiliation: De Ordine Imperii (M.I.A)

Job Classes:

Druid[15/15]
Wizard [12/15]
Elementalist (Earth) [8/10]
High Druid [10/10]
Forest Mage [10/10]
Pharmacist [10/10]
Alchemist [10/10]
Summoner [10/10]
Herald of Nature [5/5]

Fighting Style: Basilio’s primal fighting style relies on casting magic from far away, making use primarily of his elemental skills (taking preference for the Earth element) to change the landscape to something of his own advantage, be it growing trees to turn it into an improvise forest, or call animals forth for his aid. Whenever the enemy is immune to magic, the usual strategy is to distract them and flee with his great agility and speed, however in exchange for such thing, Basilio lacks physical defences and one powerful hit may be what’s needed to take him down.

Strengths: Basilio possesses an absurd amount of mana and will use it to his advantage in battles, being able to cast two or three relatively high tier spells in succession and is also pretty quick on his feet, being faster than the average magic casters you see out there. Also with the high amount of job classes the male had taken and mastered grants him a wide variety of spells, giving him versatility.

Weaknesses: While hard to catch, if one were to cut through his attacks or even nullify them, Basilio would pretty much be rendered useless, having near to none physical strength nor resistance, a couple of strong hits could be enough to knock the poor guy out.

Items:

Basic Items: Minor Healing Potion x10, Greater Healing Potion x5, Superior Healing Potion x1, Greater Mana Potion x10, Superior Mana Potion x1, Stamina Pills x3, Scrolls of Communication x2, Brewing Ingredients, Boots of Speed, Animal Whistle, Simple Iron Dagger

Skills:

Basic Skills: Magic Boost (Greater, Mastered, Almighty), Fireball(Greater), Raise Earth, Detect Life, Attract Life, Tame Beast, Penetrate Magic, Healing Melody (Greater), Natural Healing (Greater, Mastered, Almighty), Elemental Boost (Greater, Mastered, Almighty), Raise Nature, Create Golem (Twin, Triple), Summon Nature Elemental, Absorb Life, Poison Nullification, Stunning Song, Freeze, Instant Brewing, Raise Ent, Wood Pillar, Wood Spikes, Earthquake (Mastered), Animal Form

How a normal human would view me: A relatively beautiful man with an odd air of eccentricity and mystery.
Personality: While Vincent, the player, was a cold man, who pushed as many people away from him as possible and also was very quiet and showed next to no emotions. Basilio, his character, is quite the opposite, as he roleplays very thing Vincent wished to become. Basilio is loud, laid back, relaxed, very friendly towards anyone but also a very teasing person and specially, a person fascinated by exploration and adventures, something Vincent as a person could never have in his life to due to sickness.

Bio/Lore:

The story of Vincent Amaranth, the user behind the screen name Amon comes from way back in the past, from before his birth. His family have had a rare chronic disease for generations, unknown by most doctors, the known symptoms were bone frailty, lack of calcium, extreme coughing and in advanced stages; death. It presented itself in some people in the family, in others it didn’t. Vincent’s mom was one of the disease’s victims, when the boy was 10, by there, his father had abandoned them for unknown reasons. Without any parents, the boy began living with his grandparents.
Vincent was nearly what you could call a perfect kid, great behaviour, easy to get along with, great grades at school and luckily no signs of the disease manifesting, that is, until his College admission interview when he was 18, when he passed out during one of the most important questions. He was taken in by the doctors that night and according to the family’s history, the disease had been confirmed, by now, at the age of 20, the young man now lives at home, without a single idea of what to do with his life. His body was too frail for most jobs, and he didn’t know how to proceed or what to do. He didn’t feel like going back to college, yet he couldn’t get a job.
Little by little everyday, he began to notice how people who knew him and his family started treating him differently, as if he was some damned man waiting to be hanged. That infuriated him, the fact that he could not walk around like a normal person without being worried about fainting or coughing blood infuriated him and by now, that lovable person, grew distant and bitter. He could no more roam around free; he could no more talk to people to forget for one second about his illness. He was tired of everything and then isolated himself from the rest of the world.
That was when the YGGDRASIL came in, Vincent decided to take it a try, with the money of the translation works he had been doing, which was the only job the poor guy could do without having to interact with others or simply leave home. He bought the said game along with the system and tried it on.

“And suddenly, I was not myself anymore…”

In the moment he set his foot into the game, he knew what he wanted to do, he wanted to become someone else, stronger, healthier, a true free spirit and thus, Basilio was born. A druid with an enormous love for nature and vegetation who quickly learned other ways of magic arts, while quickly neglecting physical means of fighting what gave him some crippling weaknesses he tried to cover by using area spells and learning how to summon and control minions as well as the environment around him. Deep inside he was still Vincent and his battle style reflected his personality, to keep people away the most as possible.
Despite all of that, while still in the Basilio façade, the young man managed to make many friends and soon, during a raid boss battle where he aided members of the New Order Empire Guild with his powerful support spells and useful minion creatures, he was invited to join the group.
His life into the guild was different from most, Basilio would spend really long times away, venturing the wild and minding his own business, only to return sometimes months later. However, he always kept scrolls of communication and kept in touch with the others, keeping his position into the guild intact. He did enjoy the company of his guild mates, but Basilio did not wish to seclude himself, he wanted to meet new people from new cultures, new guilds. He wanted to explore the entire world of YGGDRASIL as much as he could.
When he finally reached the high level of 90, the crew behind the game said they were going to close the servers and in sadness, Vincent decided to remain until the closure of the server, roaming around. The guild had contacted him saying they were about to do a closure party, but he didn’t attend to it, as he wished to end the game as he started, alone, exploring the vast maps all by himself. That’s when it all happened, the servers closed, but seemed like the game wasn’t over for him.

@Salvia Increase Speed, Full Sprint is strange on a non melee oriented mage user. I know speed boosting is a generally good thing to have but it doesn't warrant much having it on a green mage who has no application as a war wizard.

Bard is a rogue specialization.

Melody of Life is too strong turning a person unkillable even for 30 seconds is basically 'get out of jail free card'
