Personality:

Dai possesses an utopian personality. His utopia is basically a world of classless and safe society, where lineages or social status do not matter. They still exist, but does not boost or hamper their progress in life. A place where the people work more for the benefit of the commons and less for themselves, and every individuals would be evaluated according to their ability, and rewards are distributed accordingly to that aspect. An ideal that is almost dead in this world, with the rampage of self-interests, greed or just plain ignorance or laziness.

He is a true egalitarian, rarely prejudiced and would not accept social biases. His motivation for his generalship is to fight, not for the Red Star corporate, but rather for the world he envisioned. It just so happens that the Red Star has a relatively similar ideology. And because most people consider such views naïve, he is initially very disappointed of various aspects of life. As he progress on in his studies and travels of the world, he eventually grew to distaste many of the corporates handling the world, either because he thinks their ideologies, despite looking effective at first glance, will turn back and bite them in the long-run, or just plain disgusting (i.e Denver-Vegas's prison games). But on the other hand, he had grown to be more pragmatic, but still fighting for his ideals.

Dai will work tirelessly to make his utopian dream come into reality, or at least a fraction of it, or die trying. And with it, he is not above committing acts like brainwashing or propaganda to keep his people in check. But he mostly do this out of care rather for personal interests. He also regards immoral evil acts very critically, and will not hesitate to punish them brutally if they refuse to rehabilitate

To his army, Dai appeals the most to the common soldiers, with each soldiers referring Dai intimately, and their commander loving them as if they were his sons, but were not afraid to send them to their deaths if it proves a necessity. In both combat and non-combat scenario, he is a strong-willed, calm yet sensitive and considerate person.

Backstory:

Dai was born on Paracel Islands, a group of island in South China Sea, to a quite well-off intellectual yet total commoner family. He is, as expected of his family lineage: an intelligent and non-linear thinker, with keen interests in economic (he dreamt of being an economist when he was a little kid) and military strategies, allowing him to earn enrollments in many places around the world. The Red Star Corporate soon took notice of him, and promised to back his education abroad in Military Academies. And there...is when his disappointment began.

He first visited the North American Corporates and was disgusted at how the ruling classes acted. So he left and stayed at Paragon Industrial. His stays was alright, but the condescension to his commoner status drives him away too. His only prolonged stay in his trip is to Al Amir, to which the only faction he sympathizes, at least to his standard. He disliked the genius tax policy, but learnt his pragmatism there. He did not go to other places, but learnt extensively of their situation there.

Returning to Red Star Shelter Solutions after the long study trip, the now 27 years old Dai, from all the problems of Corporates worldwide, Dai was convinced that only a centralized, authoritarian but benevolent and open-minded government would be able to solve these problems, and that the citizens should not contain the characteristics of self-interest. But then, the war happened between Volkov and Red Star, a forgotten war, concealed by media coverage.

Volkov and Red Star is commonly known to be allies and trade partners, but inside, there were overall dispute and hatred for each other over foreign policy, and were concerned of each other's advancement in military technology. Border clashes occurred more and more frequently until one day, after a failed agreement, Volkov's board of directors decided to initiate a massive attack on the Red Star's North Eastern border, a move in which they perceived as 'punishment'.

Dai enlisted for military service as a result. He was initially placed for NC pilot testing, but his sync ratio was fairly low. Normally, Red Star would try to modify him to fit, but because of his educational background, Dai was placed in the officer role, and received proper training. He is granted the rank of Captain by the age of 29. His first successful victory is at an occupied village called Hien, where he personally, on the field himself, led an NC vs NC attack on the Volkov forces. The attack was completely unprecedented, with Red Star forces managing to hang on to their close ranged combat tactic. All Volkov's NCs were disabled, their pilots captured, with no Red Star casualties.

He was promoted to Lieutenant Colonel for his outstanding action. He proceeded to execute a variety of raid attacks across the occupied Red Star territory in Volkov's hand, thus furthering his ranks and reputation among Red Star officials. The peak of his career occurred during the battle of Seoux, the only large engagement and publicly-known battle in this 'taboo' war.

In this particular battle, the Volkov initially entrenched themselves in this particular valley, attempting to employ the Al-Amir style of defensive tactics, in response to Dai's raiding tactics. They expected the Red Stars to be unable to employ their usual tactics, but they were proven very very wrong. Dai secretly redesigned and deployed his carriers directly into combat with the NCs. So instead of having the NCs being deployed elsewhere and then move up close for combat, the carriers went straight into combat, acting in conjunction with the NCs. The newly improved design slightly decreased the speed, the load capacity of the carriers, but with a higher protective armor and fast firing secondary guns that allow for close range brawls. This shocked the Volkov, as their forces were unprepared for the firepower that came their way. They were swiftly wiped out, and many were taken prisoners. Some perished in those enclosed and brutal prisons.

The Volkov and Red Star discreetly came to a peace treaty. For Dai, this ensured an instant promotion to Lieutenant General, and was passed the baton of command of his newly improved army he led at Seoux, along with one more army corps.

Tactical Preferences and Skills:

Dai is an establish tactician, capable of adopting many different strategies and tactics. He has studied many battlefield theories from the great military generals in history. He firmly and highly emphasizes the value of 'logistics', that his army must be well-supplied both in terms of the physical and the mental. One of his principals of war includes: attack quickly if you know your enemy can sustain themselves better than you, and slowly when your enemy cannot. In an encounter battle, Dai prefers a close ranged attack strategies, the same strategies employed at Seoux, sending in his carriers and support ships to work in conjunction with the NCs to overwhelm his opponents.

Outside of generalships, Dai is a capable foot soldier, capable of using his guns well. In other fields, he is also pretty good at administration and economy.

Name: Adam Philips

Appearance:

Age: Roughly 33 years old.

Personality: Adam is hard to read, and harder to get close to because of his cold professional attitude. He is suspicious of outsiders he perceives to be "snooping", often including anyone purposefully seeking him out without an easily discernible reason. He has been observed warming up to comrades outside of battle, but remains skittish until a friendship solidifies. He shows approval for anyone who actively seeks self-improvement, and will provide indirect support if the opportunity arises. He seeks to remain busy or linked to his NC, otherwise he remains quiet and reflects.

Backstory:Born to parents into the Smoke Bears bandit-clan of Denver-Vegas controlled Appalachia, Adam's life was nomadic and fraught with danger from it's very beginning. As a child he often heard the tale of his people from the Elder, that their home had been beneath the mountains since before the destruction of the world, their rise to power in early years of the nuclear winter due to the gifts handed down from their ancestors, and their tradition of martial prowess and practice before the return of the Corporations. He learned their land, and their peace, had been stolen by Denver-Vegas in their unending greed. Hunted, Adam's people became bandits and raiders, using their ancestral knowledge of the mountains to ambush DV's convoys, their preference for vehicles a hindrance in the rugged terrain where NCs reigned supreme. He grew up to admire the Elder, who guided the Smoke Bears' crown jewel, All Nerves as it's Companion.

As Denver-Vegas' hold on the land strengthened, the Smoke Bears declined. Their supplies dwindled as their enemies changed paths, sent greater numbers of NCs and began hunting for their camps. With the future looking bleak, the bandits lost their leader, their idol dormant without it's companion. The Bandits divided, those who sought to stay would hide their identities, burn their flags and become just another settlement. Those who would keep the mantle of the Smoke Bears would seek out among their number the Elder's replacement through the Trials, and would flee their home in the hopes that their brothers and sisters might survive, even if they were run down. All those young enough to, tested themselves in the Heart of the Mountains, and three candidates stepped forward to be tested against All Nerves itself. Only Adam could withstand the link, the others rejected because they could not change. They would serve the Smoke Bears as pilots of captured NCs, but they would not come near All Nerves of their own volition again. The Trials complete, they chose to bide their time in order to give those fleeing a chance to slip into safety unnoticed.

The time had come, and the Smoke Bears sped away from their home under cover of night, beating a hasty retreat east, the knowledge that their mission would protect their people was wind at their backs. Their destination was a port on the Atlantic, where they would steal ships from the unsuspecting Corporation and flee their homeland. In the fighting, many of the Smoke Bears fell defending their brothers and sisters, yet still more made away into the night on their pilfered crafts to lands they had only heard of, to "Haven". Things were not so simple, and the Smoke Bears had difficulty adapting to life, stifled by promises of freedom turned lies. Haven was no home to them, demanding tribute just as the corporations did to live on the land. Money was needed to see his people free, and so Adam found himself a Mercenary. Once more, All Nerves and it's companion would protect their people.

Tactical Preferences and Skills: Adam's experience makes him suited to Guerilla Warfare and Offense-oriented strategy. During combat, Adam remains mobile at all times, and has learned to maintain accuracy on the move in order to compensate for his NC's lack of melee and to utilize it's much greater speed.

Outside of combat, Adam is a skilled hunter, tracker and trapper. He also is also a capable butcher thanks to her early service to his "family". Adam greatly enjoys poker, stakes or no, and is notoriously difficult to beat among pilots and mechanic crews.

Appearance:

Age: 32

Personality: Jirachi is generally a stoic, and sometimes abrasive person. She doesn't fully trust anyone unless they prove themselves as being devoted to withholding their honor and self-integrity. However, once you get past her hard outer shell, she is someone who is easy to get along with.

Brief Backstory: Jirachi was once a renowned member of Denver Vegas Corporation, and was fiercely loyal to their smaller counterpart, Paradise Garden Corporation. Loyal and..."enthusiastic". She is an avid believer that the Earth is a beautiful place, and should not be tainted by the greed of man, nor the corporations under them. Jirachi was able to attain the rank of Sergeant Major before her unconventional ways of approaching opposition were noticed. Her tactics were too...violent.
Upon being confronted for her ruthless methods, she denied any wrong-doing. She even went so far as to accuse her superior officers of treason against Denver-Vegas Corporation, and even the Earth itself. Needless to say, she was persecuted. However, before she could be penalized, she escaped with her personally-assigned and maintained NC, "Predator Mk1", then finding herself among the Electrum Company.

Tactical Preferences and Skills: Jirachi favors guerrilla tactics, as opposed to head-on confrontations. The capabilities of her NC allow her this recourse easily. She is mentally(and by extension, physically) in-touch with her NC, having an impressively high Synchronization with her Mech, at about 90%. This allows her to move her NC as comfortably as if it were her own body. However, it does come with its downsides, and Jirachi realizes, you can never truly get used to this kind of pain.
Her tactics are still ruthless. If she expects for even a second that a yielding enemy is faking it, she will strike them down on the spot. She is reluctant, but not forbidding of herself, to hurt or kill civilians if it saves more lives. She has education in hand-to-hand combat, Sword use, Firearm use, Engineering, and various other fields you'd expect from an enlisted officer of her caliber. She is 'taught' on the details of the Neural Net, but she doesn't understand it all too well, all she thinks of it is "the thing that allows me to feel and maneuver my NC". Not much for the intricates involving the inner mechanisms of the NCs, all she really cares about, regarding them, is if they work or not.

NC: Rural Peacekeeper Model 1-1A

Code-name: Predator Mk1

Appearance:

Body Type: Quadruped/Bipedal Predator Mk1 is a very fast NC. Easily one of, if not the, fastest model on the field of battle at any moment. Furthermore, it has additional equipment that makes it excel at guerrilla combat, hit-and-run tactics, and overall ambushing strategies. Moreover, being a result of its origins and past uses, Predator has unique Bio-mechanical veins ingrained within its frame which absorb and protect it from from most chemical-warfare attacks, and also provide more natural movement. However, it is more susceptible to incendiary weapons.
Due to the combat style of this NC, the regions identified as the strongest-performing are the limbs. The legs are strong enough to allow Predator to leap several times its own height. Withal, the toughest regions are easily the arms and the jaw/head areas of Predator.

Type of NC: Interception

Equipment & Armaments:
Targeted Signal Disruptor- Predator Mk1 is equipped with a device that emits scrambling waves, directed at up to three specified targets(and also their lackeys). This device disrupts any instrument from locking on to or targeting the Predator model. This device automatically scrambles the three closest targets, unless otherwise specified.
Image-Refracting Module- Predator Mk1 is enhanced with a durable membrane that impressive cloaking properties. Said membrane reflects light in a way that makes Predator effectively invisible. The more background breakage, the harder it is to see Predator(making it much less effective on open ground). Additionally, moving will reduce the effectiveness of the cloak, thought with enough background, this is effectively mitigated.
Corrosive Spore Capsules- Predator has a hidden capsule inside each hand, which it can expel at any time. Each capsule holds an erosive liquid-gas substance which forms dense clouds that float in place for some time. This gas softens up NC armor, allowing melee/ballistic attacks to penetrate with slightly more ease. Additionally, if it were to somehow get past NC filtration systems, it has a choking, burning affect against the breathing of humans. Additionally, this cloud hides the movement of Predator Mk1 well while it is under the effects of the Image-Refracting Module
Super-Heated Claws- Being Predator Mk1's most reliable form of attack, it's close-range claw attacks need to be as devastating as possible. To ensure this, its massive talons are equipped with the devices to heat themselves and melt through steel like butter. Notably, they require mild charge-up time.
