@RennyRenny I'm fine if you want to no-sell the effects of the pedals in your legs but King pretty definitively pulled the woman away from you with his wind, and judging from your character's clear lack of experience, or at least tactical know-how he wouldn't have been expecting a wind hero. Especially one ranked in the top ten.

@vancexentan Well ranking has nothing to do with what the Hero is doing. The pain from the petals wasn't enough to distract him from his enemy. He fully expected Heroes to be outside and if anything his guard was supercharged due to not knowing what kind of Hero to expect (cue the hostage). Though the petals stabbing into the ground was a great hint. After the attempted attack on his legs he would have tightened his grip on her though.

On a separate note, his lack of experience doesn't mean his superhuman strength and caution is slipping from him lol. I honestly, with about 80% of my being, believe he wouldn't have lost the girl. Especially considering the (soon-to-be-dead) criminal inside had warned him about the number 7 Hero.

Also I'm not trying to be difficult. Just defending my actions.

EDIT: Now if you're ordering me to not try my best to take these heroes down for the sake of the story let me know. Cause if not, I fully intend on busting their shit while holding blondy as a hostage. Yoichi is a lot more ruthless than most would expect.

A fair argument but what I'm trying to say is that King wasn't holding back either. He isn't using hurricane speeds but he's not just some push over grunt level character. The force of his wind should have been sufficient enough for him to at least save that hostage. I'm pulling up his rank because that's just to show that this guy isn't fodder. If you want me to say that he simultaneously pushed back on you with one part of the gale while tugging on his real target, the hostage as the less we have at this point the better for the heroes, I will. Failing that this is a gm verdict because while Aya has already acknowledged it to an extent I also explicitly put that down in my own post. I'd also like to clarify while King won't be able to instant kill you unless he jabs that spear into your heart he isn't going to get wrecked by you either. I don't make a habit of forcing things onto people but making mistakes, or walking into a situation like this put the heroes into a position were they can do things.

You can go all out against King, his apprentice, and the other hero who hasn't shown his face but keep in mind that this will likely bring more heroes which will cause the other team to have issues getting the money away as even though East is a serious problem he won't be able to hold all the attention from every hero.

@vancexentan I'll state this for my own sake, I believe SkyFall wouldn't have lost this hostage. Especially considering you're telling me its not hurricane level winds. His strength feats are chucking vans into convenience stores and all of this is focused on this hostage in his grip.

If anything I believe that King is underestimating SkyFall and that would/should be his downfall.

But, since you're intent on the hostage being saved, I'll concede that she's been saved. Give me a moment I'll correct my post.

Just wanna say, I'm in the same boat (more or less) as @Zelosse, and can't post super-frequently. Give me a bit of time and I'll get Kyouran through the portal. For anyone who's curious, her plan now is to fuse with the bank's vault door as well as any safes that might be lying around, and essentially turn into this guy:



And blitz through the front door until she can fuse with some SWAT vans and a garbage truck and whatever she can get her hands on in an attempt to create a distraction and break the formation. Few things are as surprisingly sturdy as a safe or a vault door so think it's slightly less reckless.

Once they walked through the portal the plan was for those guards to show you to the vault which was located upstairs away from the main group. @AngelofOctober apparently was suppose to go with you to take the money, and get away with it with a few of the other soldiers.

Whoops. I don't remember seeing anything about teams, floors, priorities (or any actual planning really). As a point of advice for future avoidance of confusion, the GM shouldn't always post from the perspective of NPC's. There should be an actual 'narrator' point-of-view that details things, 'meta'-things, to inform player characters of things they are supposed to know that aren't being explicitly told to them by NPC's.

Or maybe I just take too between posts and have to try to sum up half a page of catch-up, thus letting details slip through the cracks. Oh well.

I very early on had Shade Walker say that they would be splitting into teams and I did indicate that there were two directions. I'll italic them in the below quote:

"Clean up Crew. Help out the robbers if you can avoid the fighting. You know your jobs. Once you arrive the attack team will need to distract the heroes, and make sure the cash is secured inside the building then leave. The get away car is down two blocks from the back door of the bank. There's a few SWAT Teams running around the upper floors. They locked the doors leading up there but that won't keep them there long. If you need help use your pagers to notify someone. If it gets too difficult for everyone I will step in personally. However my appearance will further destabilize the situation. East's appearance means they think our main goal is the other bank but we know that bank deals with other villains, and drug dealers. Also they mark their bills." Shade Walker called out to everyone as he (Kazuma) ripped open a portal.

On the other side was two men in paramilitary uniforms with a ballistics mask on it. They held no discernible marks and wielded black market automatic rifles. "Sorry for the wait sir. The hostages tried something stupid." commented one of them as he made way for the group to come through. Shade Walker acknowledged them with a calm comment saying that it was fine before giving them further orders. Then Kazuma ripped open a portal that led to a large parlor. Hostages were face down, and more goons were looking everywhere. "Combat team go through that one. Exit through the main door, or whatever and go clear out the police. According to what I got there's four heroes out there. Two of which are sidekicks. I have no doubts you'll take'em out but there will be more. Likely a bulk went to confront East." Shade Walker stated further as he turned away from the groups dismissively. "Well? What are you waiting for go!"

I could have wrote it down better but I did state that there were two teams, and two separate entrances.

On the topic of writing things down better, a problem I have too when running an rp, could I ask that if you go into a line as another character could it be spaced out from another characters paragraph. I keep reading lines all as one character.

I also think the GM should take lead. Instead of telling us what to do. Also it stumps me when I am not giving clear. I'll write up a response with Akane stealing money in bags here in a second.

However Angel this is not the type of roleplay where I intend to lead it. I don't even have a character. There is no Paul Lyons from my gundam rp to lead the assault, and there is no Lord Grey from the Overlord rp to take the reigns. This is a player driven roleplay. If you need more information about the setting, or what the area looks like then you can ask me nicely to do so and I will do my best to describe the scene in more detail in the OOC. Otherwise I intend to let free reign go throughout the missions. As I stated I would have liked the help of a Co-GM to step up to help me plan out missions but since there is no one to fulfill that role I intend to run this to the best of my ability on my own. I am a step by step type of gm. Arrive at place A look around to establish setting move onto place B and so on.

For Angel's part he specifically chose a power that hinders his ability to perform actions around the other player characters. He can chose to use his ability now but it will likely just prove more a hindrance to the overall mission if than he chose the ability to shoot lightning like Emperor Palpatine. While Midnight has yet to move I'd say he has the best chance to actually fight King on his own due to the inherent flight ability that king has making him a hard target to hit when combined with his plant based abilities. That's if all of you decide you actually want to get into a big brawl with him in the first place you have the seat with the hostages its all on how you want to come up with a way to use them, and the soldiers with the timer you have unless you help the captain upstairs with the swat.

I have an idea, if everyone is willing. We take the money, get out via portal, and Midnight uses his tar bomb abolity to level the whole building after everyone is gone.

If not I'm open to suggestions.

But Akane is balanced in other areas that do allow him. But I am a step by step person in a different way
