• Dagger Mastery: His secondary weapon he prefers to have on hand. If the situation calls for it, he can use daggers with frightening proficiency, so much so that not many can rival his close-quarters combat.
• Tactical Ingenuity (Master): Aegis has a way to see the flow of the battlefield, his calls for retreats, or daring forward pushes has led him to many victories for his order. His visualization of his opponents next moves are almost always accurate. This extends to real-time fights, where he can plan his next few moves in the heat of battle.
• Hard Light Construction (Expert): A speciallised magic, known only by his order. Uses the very nature of light itself as a weapon. It is used to construct their arrows, or to harden their weapons. He has an almost infinite amount of arrows, as long as his mana can conjure. The magic has a distinctive white, with a dull blue hue.
• Fleet of Foot (Expert): As required by his old order, Aegis has near-silent footsteps. He can scale mountains and trees with relative ease, with not so much as a branch rustling.

• Hard Light - Arrow: One of the most basic spells taught. The arrows penetrative power, and strength comes to how efficient the user has inserted their magic into the spell.
• Hard Light - Bang: Aegis found this one out by accident when tinkering with his magic. By throwing a small object in the air and pouring magic into it, it can be turned into a pseudo-flashbang that can be used as a distraction, or for a quick escape.
• Hard Light - Turmoil: Another application, he found that he could delay the time the hardlight magic would sprout out. This was greatly used by Aegis during close quarters combat. It can be used to lay traps in a guerrilla fight, or for laying ambushes.
• Harden: A more niche use of his line of magic. It can be used to, well, harden the properties of anything they deem necessary- be it weapons, so that they can clash with the hardest of material, or be it walls, so that it can sustain a hit that it should not have been able to.

• Aegur's Cloak: An aged, greying cloak that makes the user near imperceptible. It doesn't make Aegis invisible, per se, it just makes it so he's difficult to focus on. If say, he was in a crowd, you would struggle to find and concentrate on him. Much like being unable to focus on an object no matter how hard you squint at it. Even bumping into him causes individuals to wonder what they collided with.
• Daeloth's Ring: A golden rusted ring, an engraving etched on the inside in an unknown language. Whilst wearing this ring, the user is kept warm despite outside temperatures. It is also used as a firestarter. Given to Aegis by his late father.
• Jagged Stone: A rather simple looking rock shaped in a peculiar way- almost like an arrowhead. It is nigh-indistinguishable from other rocks. When dropped the arrowhead always pivots and points towards North. Worn as a necklace.

Myth / Legend: One of the most prominent 'generals' during his time. It was said that the old, great Kingdom of Malvis would have been a footnote in history had it not been for Aegis. His birthplace, Malvis, stood inbetween three powerful nations. Each one trying to procure Malvis' loyalty so as to spy on the other two. The current King of the time was a meek, humble king, whom the other kingdoms had treated as a doormat. This king caved into every demand of each nation. From his youth, Aegis mind was steeled towards gaining independence for the kingdom he was born in. He had seen the trifles of the other nations, and despised that the king let them do as they wished, waving away atrocities committed.

It is said that Aegis had won them battle after battle, war after war. Despite his name as 'Aegis' he was more of a sharp spear, that lunged deeply into those who opposed Malvis. He was said to be peerless in a battle of strategy, and at one point, somehow encircled an enemy despite having fewer soldiers. At the end of it all, he almost single-handedly propelled Malvis as 'one of the greats' of its time. He managed to absorb two of the three nations surrounding Malvis, and could have gone for the third had he not been disbarred. Even despite his dishonorable exile, he was touted as the man behind it all.

Childhood: As he was growing up, his talent with a (handmade) bow was quickly recognized by royalty. During his mandatory years of service, the lords took great notice to this young man. His skill proved prodigious during his young years, despite being a 'low-born' he shot through the ranks quickly. By 19, he had his own order, an army he could command as he seen fit. Not many of the regal status accepted his rule, even actively trying to sabotage him. He always came out on top however, each plan of sabotage foiled.
Adulthood: During adulthood, he was the first in Malvis' history to be propelled to a Viscount, and would've eventually been a Duke had it not been for his exile. Daedalus became a regal name that resounded throughout the world. His order was one of the only two in his kingdom. One was a 'shield', magistrated by the most stalwart individuals who protected Malvis in it's darkest hour, and one was a 'spear', Aegis' own order.

His exile occured when the Kingdom of Malvis had become blind to it's own hypocrisy. During one of his campaigns, after leading a successful siege, he had found out the the city he had besieged was actually innocent. His own order had culled a city that need not have been culled, and was only done so because they had stood defiant against a larger kingdom harassing them (much like Malvis' own position before it was propelled to it's greatness). Needless to say, Aegis was furious, he had seen the need for cities to fall, but needless bloodshed went against everything he stood for. His order came to clash with the 'stalwart' shield of his kingdom after figuring out they had orchestrated this whole ordeal. It turns out they had already fed the king lies for years, and after the king had figured out his 'betrayal, and madness for attacking the shield'. The shield pushed for his execution, but the population of Malvis would not have it. Him and many of his men had instead been dishonorably exiled from the Kingdom of Malvis.

Rumors say that neighboring kingdoms tried to absorb him into their own, offering endless wealth, and land in exchange for his service and loyalty. But according to history Malvis was the first, and last country he served before disappearing into the annals of history.
Special Moments: Founding of the second, and last order of the Kingdom of Malvis. Being able to take the head of the enemy's commander during a battle from 1000 yards away. Surrounding an army whom had greater soldiers than him.

Personality:
To anyone meeting him for the first time, Galbana will probably come across as an arrogant jackass. More often than not, he will talk to others condescendingly or dismissively to new people, generally only changing his tone once they've proven themselves in his eyes. Once they have, however, his tone will change entirely, and he will talk to them as if they were life long friends, laughing and joking freely. He also tends to get caught up in the rush of combat, often rushing into fights when they appear.

Despite all his arrogance however, he will occasionally show surprising levels of humility. He is a great believer in the idea that a royal is both a servant and a guardian of their people, and although he never would have said it to one of them out loud, his actions throughout his life showed exactly how he felt deep down. He has also always showed extreme humility to the spirits, knowing that he would be nothing without them.

  Music plays an enormous role in Baharan culture, and therefore it is one of the skills that Ffamran dedicated himself to. He can play most instruments fairly well. However, his true skill is seen in his singing and skill with rhythmic instruments.
• Spirit Songs (Grandmaster):
  Ffamran is one of the greatest spirit singers to ever live. The art involves creating music and singing to the spirits in ancient, long forgotten tongues in order to request their assistance, using their mysterious, elder magics to change the landscape, weather, and all manner of other spells.
• Shield Use (Expert):
  Ffamran is quite skilled with a shield, a tool which was actually quite rare in the Baharan military before he popularised it. While originally quite weak in its usage, he quickly learned how to incorporate it into Baharan swordsmanship after obtaining his shield Maitreiya.
• Strategy and tactics (Expert):
  As a young prince, Ffamran was trained in military tactics and strategy. He has shown particular skill with unorthodox tactics and improvisation.
• Dark Magics (Apprentice):
  Towards the end of his life, Ffamran began to learn the mysterious magics of the Darkness from his Lich master, Dizarach. He didn't learn enough to use it reliably before his death, although he did learn to summon and manipulate shadowy tendrils from across his body, which took the form of tattoos when not in use. However, access to the magic of the Darkness requires him to sing one of the mysterious, and dangerous, Black Songs.

• Song of the Wind:
  The Song of the Wind allows Ffamran to manipulate the air flow around him through the spirits. While he can use it to attack with the wind directly, he uses it far more often to enhance his physical speed by both nullifying most wind resistance in front of his attacks and pushing them from behind.
• Song of the Ancients:
  The Song of the Ancients had existed long before even Entei Bahara, and is said to be the very first Spirit Song. This song calls to spirits within the trees and wood, earning it the nickname of 'The Green Song'. Through it, Ffamran can ask the spirits to manipulate and accelerate the growth of most flora, leading to both wood-based attacks and quick, if weak, defensive applications.
• Song of the Spirits:
  The Song of the Spirits, known to most spirit singers of Ffamrans time, is a song that allows him to ask the spirits for guidance in his own language. It even allows him to summon weaker spirits in their physical forms, a magic that would eventually evolve into the summoning of Familiars in the future.
• The Black Songs:
  The Black Songs are, for the most part, forbidden to all but the most experienced spirit singers, due to the danger they present to both the singer and the people around them. Although not truly understood during Ffamran's time, this is because instead of asking normal spirits for assistance, it asks the Darkness itself, slowly poisoning the caster should it be used for extended periods. However, this is what allows Ffamran to use the black tendrils gifted to him by Dizarach, and is therefore a useful trump card in his mind should he run out of other options.

• Bunanza: Bunanza, also known as the Songsword, is a sleek weapon made from an unknown metal. It's odd design, consisting of two separate blades extending from the hilt, both looks and functions almost identically to a tuning fork, releasing a single lingering note when struck against another hard object. Depending on the area of the blades that is struck, a different note will be released, with hits further up the blade releasing higher notes. Additionally, due to its purpose, it has been enchanted to survive any impact, never becoming blunt or breaking. This enchantment also affects Bunanza's sheath, allowing him to use it like a large baton, or almost a second sword, should he not have access to Maitreiya for whatever reason.
• Maitreiya: An ancient shield from a neighbouring land, Maitreiya had originally been used by the countries spirit singers in much the same way as Bunanza, having a similar effect. The shield was created similarly to a cymbal or gong, rising up to form a small protrusion in the center. When the protrusion is hit, the resulting sound is similar to a bell, whereas the rest sounds more like a gong, getting higher pitched the closer to the hit is to the edges. Along with Bunanza, Ffamran wields Maitreiya in combat by using his opponents in attacks against the pair to form a rhythm and tune, singing to it to speak with the spirits.

Myth / Legend:
According to most legends, one would probably come to the conclusion that Ffamran was actually a villain. A brilliant swordsman, near unrivalled Mage, and dangerous general, the Baharan was the second in command of the lich known as Dizarach and rival to the great hero Ravness Beoulve. He was even the one who struck down her lover, Ovelia.

However, to the people of Entei Bahara, the ballad of Ffamran sil Vadris is a different one entirely, a tragedy of the prince who, knowing he wasn't cut out to lead the country, passed the crown down to his younger brother. The prince who, upon being warned of an approaching invasion by the country of Igros by a friend of his father, the lich Dizarach, he did everything in his power to stop prevent it. Who led his men in battle, fighting and killing people who, had he met them outside of war, he would have likely become lifelong friends with.

The tragedy of a man who never learnt that he, along with his entire country, was being manipulated by the Lich into fighting its battles for it, and died fighting to protect everything he loved from a woman who never meant them any harm.

Childhood:
Even as a child, Ffamran was rambunctious and wild, eager to prove his strength against people. While Galbana, younger than him by two years, sought to solve conflicts through discussion, the heir to the throne continued to get in fights with any child who talked badly about him. However, he always had a soft spot for his little brother, and while many in the palace worried what their future would look like under such a violent, immature ruler, Ffamran's thoughts were occupied with what might be the most mature decision he'd ever make.

Finally, on the celebration for his twelfth birthday, he announced his decision to the world, shocking literally everyone, as he hadn't consulted with anyone beforehand. Ffamran sil Vadris, next in line to the throne of Entei Bahara, would be passing the role on to Galbana, and in a rare show of humility, stated that his brother was far more worthy of the role than an aggressive fool like him. Later that night, he spoke with his parents and brother, who still weren't quite sure how serious he was. However, he was quick to assure them that he was, and that he would be better focusing on the military side of the empire, and that someone like Galbana would be far better suited to leading the empire in other areas.

After a few more days of convincing, this led to him studying combat, strategy and tactics and, in a move that shocked everyone even more, the music and Spirit Singing, after seeing one of his fathers vassals performing the ancient art to stop a sandstorm. This led to him traveling across the empire and even into a neighbouring eastern kingdom, learning from master spirit singers and improving his skills. It was one of these masters, El Sian Jio, who presented him with the shield Maitreiya at the age of fifteen, after impressing the elderly man enough to entrust it to him.

Adulthood:
For a few years, peace reigned over Entei Bahara. Galbana ascended to the throne, becoming an emperor beloved by all, after Delita passed away to illness, and Ffamran was well on his way to mastering spirit singing and the arts of war, having fought in many battles across the empire. However, when he was twenty-two years old, he was approached by the lich Dizarach.

Dizarach had saved his grandfather, Grana sil Vadris, from an assassin back when Delita was still a young boy. Ever since then, the Lich had been a trusted friend of the royal family, assisting them many more times over the coming years, so when he warned Ffamran about an approaching invasion from the neighbouring country of Igros, he believed him.

The two spoke to Galbana, who agreed to make preparations. However, he told them he'd attempt to speak with the leaders of the other nation, and possibly improve relations before such an attack can take place. However, relations only proved to get worse over the coming years, and it wasn't long before warriors from Igros began to ignore the borders and make their way into Baharan territory. The reason? That the people of Igros were being attacked by a Lich, and it was lurking just across the border. Worried, Ffamran and Galbana traveled to a border fortress to try and clear up the situation.

However, things quickly spiralled out of control, as Dizarach appeared between the two groups and warned the brothers that it was all a trap, an excuse to kill the two and cripple the empire before the rest of the army goes through with the invasion. The heroes from Igros, catching sight of their target, attacked, but Dizarach used powerful illusion magic to trick them into attacking Galbana instead. This resulted in Galbana losing his left arm, cut off just above the elbow by the swordswoman Ovelia. In turn, this convinced Ffamran that it was in fact a trap, and quickly leapt to his brothers defence, fighting the heroes along with Dizarach. In the ensuing battle, Ffamran managed to fatally wound Ovelia. Upon seeing the horrified reaction from the woman's companion, who it seemed was also her lover, a pang of remorse struck him, lasting long enough for the woman to take Ovelia's body and escape. However, he quickly remembered that Igros were the ones who had started the war, and that he couldn't stay there. And so, he had some of his most trusted men transport Galbana back to Elatha, took the rest of his soldiers, and crossed the border, intent on disrupting the 'invasion' wherever he could. It wasn't long before Dizarach officially took charge of the army, and Ffamran settled in as his second in command.

Over the next few years, they would conduct raids against Igros from the mountains. Many times, Ffamran would also find himself locking blades with the woman who had fought alongside Ovelia, or as she was known now, the Queens Guard Ravness Beoulve. Both wins and losses began to pile up, as the two fought time after time. However, as time wore on, the losses became more and more frequent, and it wasn't long after that that his and Dizarachs forces began to get pushed back. As more and more of his soldiers ceased to return from battle, he began to get desperate.

They believed in him.

Believed that he would end the war before it could pass the borders, like Dizarach said it would.

He couldn't let his country down, couldn't let his friends down.

And so, he turned to Dizarach for help.

And the Lich taught him the terrible magic of the Black Songs.

Just a few short months after that day, the paladins finally located their encampment in the mountains, and both sides knew that this may very well be the final battle. Desperate to defend his homeland and the few Baharan soldiers who were still alive, Ffamran leapt down from the rocks above and challenged Ravness and her followers alone. The following fight was brutal, with Ffamran putting everything he had into fighting the group, including the Black Song that allowed him the use of the black tendrils. However, in the end, it proved to be for naught. The battle would end, leaving him bleeding out amidst the smashed trunks of trees grown from his own songs.

In his dying moments, Ffamran made begged Ravness to spare his people.

He never heard the answer.

• Song of the Spirits:
  The Song of the Spirits, known to most spirit singers of Ffamrans time, is a song that allows him to ask the spirits for guidance in his own language. It even allows him to summon weaker spirits in their physical forms, a magic that would eventually evolve into the summoning of Familiars in the future.
• The Black Songs:
  The Black Songs are, for the most part, forbidden to all but the most experienced spirit singers, due to the danger they present to both the singer and the people around them. Although not truly understood during Ffamran's time, this is because instead of asking normal spirits for assistance, it asks the Darkness itself, slowly poisoning the caster should it be used for extended periods. However, this is what allows Ffamran to use the black tendrils gifted to him by Dizarach, and is therefore a useful trump card in his mind should he run out of other options.

• Bunanza: Bunanza, also known as the Songsword, is a sleek weapon made from an unknown metal. It's odd design, consisting of two separate blades extending from the hilt, both looks and functions almost identically to a tuning fork, releasing a single lingering note when struck against another hard object. Depending on the area of the blades that is struck, a different note will be released, with hits further up the blade releasing higher notes. Additionally, due to its purpose, it has been enchanted to survive any impact, never becoming blunt or breaking.
• Maitreiya: An ancient shield from a neighbouring land, Maitreiya had originally been used by the countries spirit singers in much the same way as Bunanza, having a similar effect. The shield was created similarly to a cymbal or gong, rising up to form a small protrusion in the center. When the protrusion is hit, the resulting sound is similar to a bell, whereas the rest sounds more like a gong, getting higher pitched the closer to the hit is to the edges. Along with Bunanza, Ffamran wields Maitreiya in combat by using his opponents in attacks against the pair to form a rhythm and tune, singing to it to speak with the spirits.

Myth / Legend:
According to most legends, one would probably come to the conclusion that Ffamran was actually a villain. A brilliant swordsman, near unrivalled Mage, and dangerous general, the Baharan was the second in command of the lich known as Dizarach and rival to the great hero Ravness Beoulve. He was even the one who struck down her lover, Ovelia.

However, to the people of Entei Bahara, the ballad of Ffamran sil Vadris is a different one entirely, a tragedy of the prince who, knowing he wasn't cut out to lead the country, passed the crown down to his younger brother. The prince who, upon being warned of an approaching invasion by the country of Igros by a friend of his father, the lich Dizarach, he did everything in his power to stop prevent it. Who led his men in battle, fighting and killing people who, had he met them outside of war, he would have likely become lifelong friends with.

The tragedy of a man who never learnt that he, along with his entire country, was being manipulated by the Lich into fighting its battles for it, and died fighting to protect everything he loved from a woman who never meant them any harm.

Childhood:
Even as a child, Ffamran was rambunctious and wild, eager to prove his strength against people. While Galbana, younger than him by two years, sought to solve conflicts through discussion, the heir to the throne continued to get in fights with any child who talked badly about him. However, he always had a soft spot for his little brother, and while many in the palace worried what their future would look like under such a violent, immature ruler, Ffamran's thoughts were occupied with what might be the most mature decision he'd ever make.

Finally, on the celebration for his twelfth birthday, he announced his decision to the world, shocking literally everyone, as he hadn't consulted with anyone beforehand. Ffamran sil Vadris, next in line to the throne of Entei Bahara, would be passing the role on to Galbana, and in a rare show of humility, stated that his brother was far more worthy of the role than an aggressive fool like him. Later that night, he spoke with his parents and brother, who still weren't quite sure how serious he was. However, he was quick to assure them that he was, and that he would be better focusing on the military side of the empire, and that someone like Galbana would be far better suited to leading the empire in other areas.

After a few more days of convincing, this led to him studying combat, strategy and tactics and, in a move that shocked everyone even more, the music and Spirit Singing, after seeing one of his fathers vassals performing the ancient art to stop a sandstorm. This led to him traveling across the empire and even into a neighbouring eastern kingdom, learning from master spirit singers and improving his skills. It was one of these masters, El Sian Jio, who presented him with the shield Maitreiya at the age of fifteen, after impressing the elderly man enough to entrust it to him.

Adulthood:
For a few years, peace reigned over Entei Bahara. Galbana ascended to the throne, becoming an emperor beloved by all, after Delita passed away to illness, and Ffamran was well on his way to mastering spirit singing and the arts of war. However, when he was twenty-two years old, he was approached by the lich Dizarach.

Dizarach had saved his grandfather, Grana sil Vadris, from an assassin back when Delita was still a young boy. Ever since then, the Lich had been a trusted friend of the royal family, assisting them many more times over the coming years, so when he warned Ffamran about an approaching invasion from the neighbouring country of Igros, he believed him.

The two spoke to Galbana, who agreed to make preparations. However, he told them he'd attempt to speak with the leaders of the other nation, and possibly improve relations before such an attack can take place. However, relations only proved to get worse over the coming years, and it wasn't long before warriors from Igros began to ignore the borders and make their way into Baharan territory. The reason? That the people of Igros were being attacked by a Lich, and it was lurking just across the border. Worried, Ffamran and Galbana traveled to a border fortress to try and clear up the situation.

However, things quickly spiralled out of control, as Dizarach appeared between the two groups and warned the brothers that it was all a trap, an excuse to kill the two and cripple the empire before the rest of the army goes through with the invasion. The heroes from Igros, catching sight of their target, attacked, but Dizarach used powerful illusion magic to trick them into attacking Galbana instead. This resulted in Galbana losing his left arm, cut off just above the elbow by the swordswoman Ovelia. In turn, this convinced Ffamran that it was in fact a trap, and quickly leapt to his brothers defence, fighting the heroes along with Dizarach. In the ensuing battle, Ffamran managed to fatally wound Ovelia. Upon seeing the horrified reaction from the woman's companion, who it seemed was also her lover, a pang of remorse struck him, lasting long enough for the woman to take Ovelia's body and escape. However, he quickly remembered that Igros were the ones who had started the war, and that he couldn't stay there. And so, he had some of his most trusted men transport Galbana back to Elatha, took the rest of his soldiers, and crossed the border, intent on disrupting the 'invasion' wherever he could. It wasn't long before Dizarach officially took charge of the army, and Ffamran settled in as his second in command.

Over the next few years, they would conduct raids against Igros from the mountains. Many times, Ffamran would also find himself locking blades with the woman who had fought alongside Ovelia, or as she was known now, the Queens Guard Ravness Beoulve. Both wins and losses began to pile up, as the two fought time after time. However, as time wore on, the losses became more and more frequent, and it wasn't long after that that his and Dizarachs forces began to get pushed back. As more and more of his soldiers ceased to return from battle, he began to get desperate.

They believed in him.

Believed that he would end the war before it could pass the borders, like Dizarach said it would.

He couldn't let his country down, couldn't let his friends down.

And so, he turned to Dizarach for help.

And the Lich taught him the terrible magic of the Black Songs.

Just a few short months after that day, the paladins finally located their encampment in the mountains, and both sides knew that this may very well be the final battle. Desperate to defend his homeland and the few Baharan soldiers who were still alive, Ffamran leapt down from the rocks above and challenged Ravness and her followers alone. The following fight was brutal, with Ffamran putting everything he had into fighting the group, including the Black Song that allowed him the use of the black tendrils. However, in the end, it proved to be for naught. The battle would end, leaving him bleeding out amidst the smashed trunks of trees grown from his own songs.

In his dying moments, Ffamran made begged Ravness to spare his people.

He never heard the answer.

• MAGIC SPELL: Pure Light Cage - Alexis's favorite light magic spell. Alexis has to see her target and light has to shine on it. If no light us available, she can create the necessary light herself but that would eat away at her power faster.
• MAGIC SPELL:Shadow Armor - Alexis covers the body of herself/allies with solid shadow. The durability of the armor is determined by how much power she imbues it with.
• MAGIC SPELL: Solid Shadow Creation/Manipulation - Alexis's most favored spell. She conjures shadows or uses the ones surrounding her to create different shapes. From arrows to human sized weapons.

• ARTIFACT: Robe of the Magi- This artifact was inherited by Alexis from her mother, a witch in her own right. It acts as a catalyst for Alexis's shadow magic. While looking as a normal robe, it is far from it. It was enchanted by a power witch to be impermeable, fireproof and made so that it absorbs kinetic force. It also makes Alexis resistant to some amount of damage.
• ARTIFACT:Danger Sensing Amulet - An artifact of Alexis's own creation. Detects danger that the one which wears it might face.

Myth / Legend:Alexis's story is controversial. She led a rebellion against her own kingdom that persecuted magic users. She and her twin were at opposite sides of the conflict. Alexis fought for the liberation of mages while her twin believed that magic wielders should be persecuted.
In other words, Alexis lived in a time of great strife. She always tried to make her twin understand that her cause was just but the antipathy between them only grew stronger each time they met on the battlefield. In the end, the same mages that she tried to protect betrayed her.
She told every mage what she was about to do, assassinate the king and take control over the kingdom. That was her downfall.
While she was planning the assassination, her child had been abducted by her twin.
The child came from a relationship in her teen years, the father, a paladin, refused to acknowledge the child as his own because of Alexis's supposed "demonic features". So, Alexis raised the child while fighting a losing war.
Mara was abducted by Alexis's twin (Georgia) and when she surrendered herself for Mara's life, she was killed by Georgia.
Who betrayed Alexis and led the King's men to Mara is something she didn't knew.

Childhood:Alexis and her twin were close as children. They played together, protected one another and were always seen together but there was a major difference between them. Alexis had magic while her sister didn't and in a kingdom where magic was viewed as evil, it eventually drew a rift between them.
Adulthood:Throughout her adulthood Alexis studied magic and occasionally fight with Georgia based on their different view of magic users.
What drew her to start the rebellion was the prime point of adulthood. It all started with the execution of 27 possible mages by the King's Georgia was one of the so-called-paladins that executed the mages. That was when Alexis declared war on the kingdom. 2 years prior to her death, Alexis was lovestruck with a paladin she fought a few times. Somehow in the middle of the conflict the paladin fell in love with her too but it was just a brief moment. As soon as Alexis told him that she was with child, the paladin broke all contact with her.

Though he was occasionally derided in his day for wielding his power like a cudgel, preferring to rely on overwhelming force rather than skill or subtlety, there can be little doubt that the Jack of Spades was an absolute freak of nature when it came to sustaining his magic – he was not the most skilled mage, nor the most talented, he just never ran out of juice.
• SKILL NAME: Master Battle Mage. Jack saw more than his share of conflict in his adventuring days, and he was an expert at making things dead with magic, adept at choosing the right spell for the job and aiming the perfect fireball.

Jack was equally talented with the creation of inanimate objects from raw magical energy, though items conjured in such a fashion rarely lasted very long once he stopped thinking about them, and even he couldn’t manage to conjure anything larger than, say, a medium-sized dog.
• SKILL NAME: Expert Monsterologist. Whenever he and his party encountered some magic beast they had never seen before, it was Jack’s job to know about it; as such, he has a decent if not fool-proof mental encyclopedia of magical creatures, their behaviors, diets, etc.

Before Elyana and her companions found him and convinced him to change his ways, he had intimidated, outplayed, or outright annihilated most of his rivals and was secure in his position as chief of organized crime in Alsimar City. • SKILL NAME: Expert Swordfighter. Elyana gave him lessons in swordplay during his adventuring days, insisting that he would need to be able to protect himself if his magical abilities failed him. He humored her, and actually ended up getting pretty good at it in spite of himself.

• MAGIC SPELL: Mageling Blast. An arcane technique invented by Jack that no wizard has since been able to replicate, the Mageling Blast is not so much a spell as it is a pure expression of Jack’s sheer arcane power – it takes the form of a magical beam of pure energy, laced with fire and frost and sparking with radiant electrical might. Entirely lacking in subtlety, this spell is more or less Jack hosing arcane power at his opponent until they fall over, and can blast through physical and magical barriers alike as it attempts to liquify its target. Its use is a sure sign that Jack has finished screwing around and is now getting serious about obliterating his enemy.
• MAGIC SPELL: Epic Teleport. Some of Jack’s recorded feats of teleportation have been disputed by magi historians as being almost certainly exaggerated, such was the power they would have required; but the truth is very close to the stories. Jack is capable of opening portals to almost anywhere in the entire world, so long as he’s been there before, though particularly far ones require a lot of effort to maintain.
• MAGIC SPELL: Telekinesis. One of the only forms of magic Jack exercises with any skill and tact is the art of moving things with his mind – Jack can juggle a good number of items in the air, manipulating them as projectiles or just putting on a show, or can wrap himself in telekinetic force to fly at high speeds.
• MAGIC SPELL: The Shake’n’Shock. One of Jack’s personal favorites for taking out an unsuspecting opponent; approach them, introduce yourself, grab their hand to shake it before they have time to react and then fill them with enough magical energy to turn an elephant to ash. In his own words, “You can’t beat the classics.”

• ARTIFACT: The Cloak of Pockets – a dark blue cloak with a literally infinite amount of pockets sewed into it. Each pocket is capable of holding objects five times the size it should, and he can locate the appropriate pocket for the item he’s looking for instantly as well as always being able to find an empty one to store something new.
• ARTIFACT: The Staff of the Mageling. A simple wooden staff tipped with limestone. A priceless artifact, said to be the source of the Mageling’s incredible power. In reality, it’s just a walking stick, but that hasn’t stopped countless thieves, wizards and witches from coveting it and attempting to unlock its secrets.

Myth / Legend:
The Mageling is regarded as one of the most powerful wizards ever to exist in the known world. Entire volumes have been written about his exploits, attempting to understand how he achieved the feats he did with such little training or pondering if such a person could ever be replicated. However, to non-wizards, he is significantly more famous as Jack of Spades, the hero who gave his life in an epic duel with the dark monster Nartaron and in doing so, saved the known world. He is the symbol and hero of his native kingdom of Alsimar, a favorite figure in folk tales and drinking songs, and thanks to the efforts of his former companions, forever remembered as a courageous man who used his great powers for good. His sacrifice is commemorated in a traditional holiday in many cities, known as Spadesday, a day for feasting, merriment and storytelling in which adults play at being monsters and children join forces with ‘Jack of Spades’ (an adult in disguise, usually a mage) to drive them off.

Childhood: Jack’s earliest memories were on the streets of Alsimar city, scavenging for food in gutters and avoiding boys larger than him. He has no idea how he got there or who his parents were; probably just criminal nobodies like him who dumped him on the streets or got arrested before they could find him again. When his powers manifested at the age of six, he went from living in fear to living like a king – anything he wanted, he took, and anyone who got in his way, he fried. He grew up in decadence and glory, becoming the tyrant of the city’s criminal underworld and ruling through fear, but his powers had yet to reach their full height. When he was seventeen years old, his hideout was invaded by a band of young adventurers, led by a novice paladin of the Pale Lady named Elyana, and though he put up a good fight, he was no match for them. However, Elyana sensed something in the young tyrant that suggested he was not beyond saving, and rather than taking him to justice she offered him the chance to join them on their adventures to work off his debt to society through heroism. He accepted.
Adulthood: Jack traveled with them for several years, and their skill and fame began to rise sharply. They delved into ancient ruins, slew unspeakable monsters, carried away mountains of treasure from haunted barrows. All the while, Jack drew closer and closer to Elyana, though he never spoke of his feelings to her or anyone; he was no stranger to female company, but something about her was… different. He could have lived in that way forever, but it was not to be.
An evil rose in the west. Nartaron, a former paladin of Elyana’s order, had been corrupted by the Darkness, and so filled with unholy power that he became a monster capable of cutting down entire armies, and at the head of a host of dark creatures he set out to destroy the realms of men starting with Alsimar. Many died in the war that followed, but despite the best efforts of the kingdom and its allies, Nartaron’s dark advance could not be stopped. In an act of immense courage and heroism, Jack and his companions infiltrated Nartaron’s camp and stole his helmet, the key to his vile powers, and brought it back to the paladins to destroy it, that he and his host might be banished; the last hope of the armies of the light. But the ritual of destruction would take time that was not available, for Nartaron’s army bore down on the city in a fury, seeking to reclaim their master’s treasure. In a last act of courage, Jack sallied forth to meet him, engaging Nartaron in single combat outside the gates of the Pale Lady’s temple and fighting him to a standstill, after teleporting Elyana and his companions unwillingly to safety. Jack knew he would be unable to match the power and skill of the dark knight, who ran him through with his dark blade and walked across his broken body into the temple. In that moment, the ritual was completed, the helm destroyed, and Nartaron and his army banished to the realms of darkness. Jack was buried in a state funeral and praised as a hero, and his adventuring party retired to live out their days, always remembering the brave, arrogant mage.
