Dodging his reflected beams with minimal difficulty due to the distance he put between the two Takahashi lined himself up projecting his beam shield on his forearm, and activating his beam saber after putting away his rifle. Bracing himself for impact he charged forward to meet his enemy but not at full speed. Takahashi was patient he didn't rush things, and whatever happened, or whatever this dastard did to him...he knew he only would win because the young gunpla builder was using his fourth rate mobile suit. As much as he loved his G-2 Advent Saviour it was never going to be his strongest suit. That wasn't the point of it in the first place. This Advent put him on a pedestal above people like the champion using high grade, and prized mobile suits to win battles instead of whatever people wanted to make as fun. It was all specs, and all power with those people. It brought arrogance, and overrated bs that went along with them. He stabbed at the enemy carefully with his beam saber. If he dodged he'd activate his other beam shield to block it if it was on his right side, or backpedal to his left and slash with his saber if he went to the left.

Miyuki came back to the lobby with her head down seemingly dejected... but then stared to laugh her head off, like a mad woman while clapping her hands. Bravo, King, Bravo. She wasn’t actually expecting that, that was actually pretty original. She was going to have to use a hell of a more than her original plans, she had to scrap it and start over. Miyuki was actually a lot simpler than you’d imagine. She may hate King, but she loved Gunpla even more. It would appear that Miyuki took the not despair route.

”Well Gemini, we’ll get him next time.

She may have lost, but her fangs was still able to touch King and as she said she would only get stronger from here on.

”Well crap baskets, sorry Isamu let you down.”

Space Colony, Special Event Force Battle - One v Two @Shiyonichi@vancexentan@Double@Keyblade87

Isamu laughed shortly with, Miyuki. "You gave it your all out there, Mimi. Its all we could ask of you. Besides, you did one hell of a job pulling out his tricks. Now we all know just a little more about him."

Isamu folded his arms over his chest to hide the shivering of his arms. He was excited to feel one step closer to defeating a guy like, King. He was so pompous that it made him sick, but his ability to back up that pomp inspired him as well. No wonder such a cult following of King's battle had begun to sweep GBN.

He looked up, noticing, Takahashi begin his attack. "Look, Taka's going for close-combat? Its not just me is it? y'know that feels the G-Advent is lacking in that area."

* * *
Back to the battle

King noticed the Advent's style of combat immediately, or rather its pilot's style. They were something of a rare bunch, usually content to feeling out their opponent's from afar, until push came to shove. Then they went on the offensive. With his remaining thrusters, Congeal was only slightly faster than the Advent. Without his usual speed, he would have to rely on a combination of his skill, instinct, and reflexes.

Congeal's speed dropped even further as they approached each other. He crossed his massive-swords together, forming a battering ram to measure up against the Adven's beam saber. A moment earlier, when his speed dropped, he detached his remaining two Meteors from his back and guided them along side them, now relying solely on Congeal's backpack. The entire time they aimed for the Advent's blind spots, leasing bolts after bolts of energy at the suit in hopes of finishes it off fairly quick. It would take only a single shot to corrupt a mobile suit's limbs, two or three to affect the entire system.

”Mimi? Eh I like it.

Miyuki looked over at Taka’s fight. Taka ain’t a hotheaded person like her, so he had a plan. No doubt. She knew him long enough that to know he was a thinker. Miyuki explained this to Isamu, doing a creepily good Takashi impression.

”I’m just baiting the bastard, I’m at least going to take a piece out of this clown!”

Miyuki then turned back her normal self and continued on.

”See how the thrusters of the Advent turned towards the Congeal? It’s planning on moving backwards. The arm is also raised upwards and braced against the body of the Advent, it’s planning on activating it’s shield. Finally the grip on the beam saber tilted forwards in a striking position, and plans on striking to his right. Takashi has most of his bases covered.

Miyuki took a teacher like pose as she explained.

”However, The Congeal is using the funnels to strike at Takashi. Him charging is not just a distraction, but a back up. It’s planning on ramming Takashi if he somehow managed to dodge it’s funnels, there’s no tension on the hips and legs in preparation to swing it fowards to try and slow itself.

Akira watched as the enemy suit moved and took out his comrades one by one and Takahashi took off toward them. Well guess its an all-out assault then. he thought to himself as he moved up a bit punching controls.
"Taka, I'll try and clear a path for you let's try and make it count," Akira said through comms as he opened his wing pack and launched the large funnel-like dragoons. "Super Dragoons, Launch!" he said as they all flew out and targeted the funnels taking out as many as possible while Akira took his beam rifles and took as many out as he could in an attempt to assist. "Nearly out of options, Rail Gun time?" he said not wanting to make a mistake in this crucial fight.

Space Colony, Special Event Force Battle - One v Two @Shiyonichi@vancexentan@Double@Keyblade87

For a moment, Isamu just stared at Miyuki. He mouthed the words that his mind had conjured from listening to her. "Experienced". She was a veteran and even though she had been beaten and mocked, she was still analyzing the match with all the proficiency that came with the title. He smiled at her, feeling that exhilaration his loser-dad always preached about. There was a kind of giddiness in losing, especially when you had the drive to learn from it.

"You're awesome, Mimi. I don't think I could've put it into words ... but yea, I got those feels too. King ... he has this unnerving confusion about him. Its like nothing can lock him in. Mimi, was this your first battle against him?"

"Akira's on the move now. Tsk, bout time. Go get em', Akira!" he yelled, getting tense with battle.

* * *
Back to the battle

King's grasp over his controls tightened. Its odd how they're making me feel. As if I'm resonating with their potential. This doesn't happen under normal circumstances but I want them to become stronger. Its just too bad a lack of teamwork is causing such backlash. Together they could have offered me so much more.

The white Freedom struck out with his dragoon system, indeed destroying one of his Meteors but had he paid attention during the Congeal's battle with the Gemini, then he would have been more careful. With its destruction, the System Corruption Particles inside were release with the explosion, spreading around the Advent and Congeal, touching the Freedom's dragoons and corroding their insides. Of course the Congeal had a unique protection against his creation.

King waited to see the true speed of his System Corruption Particles in action. The Gemini's boosted form had made it seem long, however, the residue was near instant. Could the Advent escape its grasp through some miracle? wondered King. Regardless of the possibilities, he pulled back from his ramming assault and held his sword up, reflecting the shots back towards the Freedom.

Contrary to what King was expecting Using his beam shield as cover he smashed full force into the enemy gunpla driving it back with the power of the Advent's thrusters. Stabbing forward once again this time he let go of the saber once he did so. If it hit or not didn't matter to Takahashi as he reached down with his now free hand and grabbed his gunpla's side arm for its place on his hip and pointing it directly at the Gemini's head he wasted not time in blasting it at near point blank range moving his gunpla's arm down as he did so. If one area was covered in some sort of protection maybe another was not. One shot from the head down the torso should at least give him some idea if there was. However he was doubtful if he would get too much further. At this point he had made himself up as a close range combatant. The sudden aggression should throw him off kilter hopefully. "Get behind him if you can pressure is key!" Takahashi told that kid who was with him. He wasn't sure what his name was he really wasn't listening to the others talk but at least he had some sort of idea of what was going on. Takahashi was hoping he hadn't made a dumb mistake on his part though. He wasn't a great pilot but he had experience enough to know that he had just put himself into the champ's preferred range.

Space Colony, Special Event Force Battle - Complete @Shiyonichi@vancexentan@Double@Keyblade87

From the light cloud of his System Corruption Particles, the Advent came rushing out. King was caught off guard for a split-second, enough for the Advent to close-in with his beam shield. He stabbed his beam saber forwards, the same move he had broadcast earlier. King guided his remaining Meteor overhead, feeling a tinge of pressure against this scrambled Force. He cut his thrusters completely and flowed with the deflecting swing of his blade, allowing him to dodge the beam saber stab. The Advent released its blade and drew his beam sidearm. As he did, starting his from backpack, the SCP had begun to corrupt his system.

The beginnings of a chuckle started in King's throat. A smile formed on his face. Nice, he thought to himself. Suicidal but smart.

The rotary of his wrist allowed for a quicker reaction to the sudden beam shots. The first was released too quick, he had barely dodged it, the cheek of the Congeal becoming marred and melted. "You're the first." he voiced immediately. It took only a motion of his other wrist to cleave the Advent in two. The two halves sparked thrice and as the Congeal moved away it expanded into a quiet explosion.

A "DEFEAT" sign now hung in front of Takahashi.

He turned towards the Freedom, who in that impossibly quick transaction between the Advent and Congeal had missed his chance to dodge his reflected beams. They surged forwards, both piercing the chest of the mobile suit. Its cockpit was destroyed and it floated among the wreckage of its comrades.

A "DEFEAT" sign now hung in front of Akira.

* * *
The main lobby of GBN

Around Takatora was a crowd that had seemed silenced by magic. They all held their breaths while watching the final moments of King's latest conquest. They witnessed the last two beam shots slide through the white Freedom, and King, as if confused, touch the melted metal on Congeal's cheek.

A moment later and the crimson suit had departed from the space field.

The silence exploded. Groups of people were suddenly brimming with emotion. The entire lobby seemed ecstatic about the match. Talks of how the Advent had finally proved that King wasn't invincible dominated, praises of the surprise shot had overshadowed the Force's defeat. In certain groups other Divers were impressed by the Gemini's ability, laying claim that she had made it possible for the Advent's feat. Akira and Isamu hadn't gotten much praise at all, however, the majority of the crowd had become enamored with their match. Proud even and sure enough, Takahashi and Miyuki had become a sub trend of the main-battle. Proof that King was beatable.

A tall man pushed off from his spot and headed for the impromptu Force Nest of the group.

* * *
Group's Force Nest

Isamu appeared in the nest, hopefully alongside the others. He folded his arms over his chest and prodded his forehead harshly "I'm kinda upset I didn't do more. Though at the same time, I'm happy you guys taught, King a lesson. We're not all the same. Some of us are capable of competing with him." He smashed his fist into his hand, a smile on his face now. "You guys were awesome ... really."

So it was like that huh? Fine Advent did its job as best it could. He could never blame the Advent he made it to be a general purpose suit. Not a monster. The blame lied with him for being a pathetic pilot. A real pilot maybe could have lasted longer, and maybe done some actual damage. Regardless as Takahashi exited his place he walked back over to his party. As he heard Isamu open his mouth his opinion of him changed slightly. He wasn't just full crap after all. "I'm nothing. I get by on my ability to make competent mobile suit gunpla. Even with Advent's above average handling all I did was get by. I was never an actual threat I recognized that early on. Miyuki at least had something on her end. Maybe one day I will show the king what it means to be a true tyrant. But Isamu don't stoop down to power grasping. Even if I sound pathetically over dramatic about this game. Your choices make you. I chose Advent over other machines. You can chose to be strong by improving yourself without stooping to machines that everyone else uses just because they're powerful. Individual minds are better than hive ones anyday. Individuals are stronger than the collective group because without individuals there can be no leaders." Takahashi said as he approached the group. However as he finished he rubbed his head and grumbled. "I'm sorry. I really sounded preachy there its not my place to tell you whats up."

They lost, that wasn't exactly surprising. It was King after all, a Gunpla Pilot whom most believed was invincible. Even if Takatora had stayed, took part in the Event... it wouldn't have made a difference. King's kill count would simply have reached 101 rather than the 100 it now shown as. Besides, what if the Hayabusa had been severely damaged, destroyed even? No, that would have been unacceptable. Best not to take the risk at all.

"Are you satisfied - huh?" Takatora looked around, realizing that Adam was gone. He had no idea when he left, but he had apparently done so without so much as a word. But that was when Takatora noticed an unread private message in his inbox. It was from Adam:

"...Sento?" Takatora remembered the name from somewhere. Sento Sakuraba ran a small Gunpla Store in his neighborhood, but Takatora had never seen him battle, so he was unsure how he could learn battle techniques from him. But those thoughts had to be put on hold for now. Takatora spotted a figure trying to make their way into the Force Nest. Who were they? What did they want? Curiosity got the better of him, and Takatora moved to follow.

The word defeat flashed across Akira's vision and he suddenly found himself in the Force Nest amongst the others.
"Sorry guys I kinda failed on reacting, mark that one up as my fault." He said scratching his head and trying to seem apologetic. He had frozen when he saw how his dragoons had just been worthless. I knew I should have broken out the rail guns. Oh well, this gives me a chance to start from scratch and build a gunpla better than the last. he thought feeling a little more determined.

Isamu felt his heart speed a bit more. Takahashi was right, the power of one clever person could outsmart a mob of drones any day. All he had to do was figure out where his strengths were and grow on them. He nodded vehemently at, Takahashi, a grin plastered on his face, even as he trembled with inspiration. He clasped his hands, locking them together in hopes of quelling himself.

"Yea, I'm really feeling your words, Bro."

Then he realized something underneath Taka's words, an assumption that could be implied. "Wait ... so does that mean you don't believe in Forces?" he asked.

Before Takahashi could answer, two prominent knocks came from the Force Nest's door.

* * *
At the door to the Force Nest

The tall man that Takatora was following had finally arrived at the generalized Force Nest area, specifically at the door of the ones that had stirred up the low-ranking community. Those that had, until a few minutes ago, been the stepping-stones of the rising star: King. The man had started to knock on the door but paused. Suddenly he looked in the direction of Takatora.

"Wanna tell me why you're following me, Kid? questioned the towering male softly. "Cause to be honest its kinda rude."

He pinched the bridge of his straight nose and sighed calmly. "Nevermind. Just try your best not to make stalking a habit. I'll answer any questions after I'm done here," reassured the cold man.

Disregarding the ninja-master raccoon or ferret, he knocked twice on the door.

* * *
Back inside the Force Nest

Isamu moved to the button next to the door and pressed it. The door hissed open and in front of them stood a towering but slender man. His hair was graciously styled, as if he was some idol or model. If not for the viciousness in his sharp eyes, Isamu would have thought so. Instead there was a feeling of oppressiveness weighing on him, almost the same kind of overbearingness that he felt from King. This man's weight seemed a bit more defined, a tad sharper ... more dangerous.

"A kid?" he observed. "You must've been the one that made the sacrificial move. Bravo, you got the guts now you just need the calm."

Isamu took a few steps back as the man strode inside.

"H-Hey you can't just barge in he-"

"-Thank you," interrupted the suave man. He bowed very briefly at the present group. "Without you all I wouldn't have finally gotten a glimpse of his tricks. I've been watching him for months now and no one's gotten even close to making, King reveal his strats. I'm beyond grateful."

He half-folded his arms while rubbing his chin. After a second a quaint smile fell over him. "I make it my business to keep track of candidates, hoping to foster their potential in one way or the other." His icy tone was hard to discern. "Also, you guys really did do me a solid. Who would have thought he'd have beam weaponry that could fry your machine's system ... I owe you guys one and I don't think I could pay you back any other way than this ..."

Isamu studied the man harshly, feeling as if he had seen him from somewhere. It was vague at first, the impression he was getting. Then it hit him. This man was, Daigo Seiho: the current number two in all of GBN and the fifth Meijin Kawaguchi. Suddenly, Isamu was hit with the surprise brick. He's way taller than he looks on the monitors!

Daigo opened up his GBN menu, and systematically sent them all friend requests. As he scrolled down his Players Met, he paused, his finger hovering over a name. "Takatora ... Whose he? this says he's a part of your temp Force too."

”What Taka’s trying to say is don’t take the easy path to becoming strong, you lilshit. Well something along those lines... Well either way, come on Taka that wasn’t Nothing!

Miyuki paraphrased while slapping Taka on the back, though she knew that forces are a bit of a sore spot after what happened. Well either way... she needed a way to counter what that metallic thing was. It honestly reminded of that what was it? GN stealth field? At that moment a very tall man entered then thanked them, but Miyuki had one question she whispered to Isamu.

”Hey Izzy? Who is this guy?”

She could at least recognize people she met before in GBN, but she couldn’t do it with people she never met in person or in avatar.

"I don't need anyone's thanks. I fought someone because they were matched up against me. Truth be told we're all strangers. Well mostly Miyuki over there is a former teammate of mine." Takahashi said dismissively as he looked at the big man on campus stroll in as if he was so much better than them. Meijin Kawaguchi. His type of people were what he aspired to be as a builder. But what he hated on a fundamental level as a gunpla pilot. They use their skills to give most of their machines incredible advantage on a level on novices could dream of. You could pilot the best machine, be the best pilot ever but if you could't get over something then that meant that you had a fundamental advantage just be existing. That shouldn't be how battles were won. "I'm not interested in becoming the pupil of anyone. I learned with my own skill, and fought with my family. My companions are those who I chose. I'm not after power, or to make a name for myself. All I want is to be the best I can be on my own merit. I appreciate that you can respect the work of everyone here. But the cold brutal truth is we still lost. I wasn't good enough, and I have a long way to go before I can measure up to king." Takahashi said half lying underneath his breath as he looked at Daigo with a lack of enthusiasm. "I'm assuming your here because you have some sort of sales pitch for us? My guess is you want the others, and myself to work with you some more to possibly find some more chinks in the King's proverbial armor? If so I'll hear you out but I'm honestly not interested. Today was a fluke Miyuki arguably is the only one who had any real impact on King." Takahashi stated flatly as he adjusted his OMNI cap on his head.

"Why am I following you?" Takatora had to think of a response, but the only one he could come up with was a question of his own, "What about you?" he asked, pointing a clawed finger at the tall guy. One had to admit, the tall man was being just as suspicious if not more so, "You're the only one who doesn't seem bothered by what happened to King. And to top it off your reaction is to immediately seek out his latest victims. I think that makes you the suspicious one, here." but he was seemingly ignored. The man just brushing him off and knocking on the door without a care in the world.

Ugh, jerk. Don't question me and then immediately ignore my response... asshole. It really hadn't registered to him who this person was, not that it would have mattered anyway. Takatora hated jerks no matter how big and famous they were. So Meijin or not, this man certainly didn't have a fan in Takatora right now. But he did listen to the guy explain who he was. Or rather, his total lack of an explanation since he failed to mention a name or who the hell he even was to anyone. Was this jerk really that full of himself?

"Taka - uh oh..." blurted out Takatora. The first actually substantial thing the guy said was a question... and it was about who the extra name on the list belonged to, "Yeah, that's me. There some kind of problem with that? I'm guessing that will also be a suitable explanation for why I followed you?" of course, he lacked a real explanation for why hadn't participated in the Event Battle, nor did he have a real explanation for why he hadn't logged off yet... which was what he told the others when he first left the Force Nest.

Oh boy... if I were smart I would have just stayed in the lobby. Damn curiosity.

Daigo looked over his shoulder at the voice answering his query. For the first time he glance at the guy's name and found, Takatora over it. "Oh, so its you than," he turned to face him, an expression of obvious regret plastered on him as caressed the back of his head. "Sheesh, guess apologies are in order. Seeing as you're apart of this temp Force, I have some iota of appreciation for ya. Sorry for earlier."

Then hearing Takahashi's response he returned his gaze to young man. "Incredible ... Everything that came out your mouth was misconstrued." Daigo sighed once more. "Your biggest misconception is whose impact was the largest, make no mistakes, it was the pilot of the Advent that's shaken, King the most. Not the pilot of the Gemini."

"Now allow me to guess something, the pilot of the Advent is you, Takahashi. And the Gemini would have to be the young lady behind me. I can see the sacrificial move again, just from those two standing side-by-side. Listen, I'm not a mentor or anything-of-the-sort, frankly I suck at interacting with people. Even still, I know when thanks are in order. I'm offering you not lessons or a partnership but a guarantee of advice when lost and a friendship of the phenomenal kind. Take it or leave it, the choice is yours. That includes, Takatora as well." Finally he sent the raccoon or weasel a friend request as well.

Isamu leaned in close to Miyuki. "He's the second best in GBN. Even my dad keeps a close eye on this guy and my dad's a World-Level battler. His name is, Daigo Seiho, and he's a Meijin. The fifth, I think."

Isamu accepted Daigo's friend request and realized his friends list had only seven people on it.

Daigo turned to look at Isamu. "Thanks, Kid. Nice to meet you. Now, what of the rest of you?"

Takahashi sighed, and bowed his head. "Then that is my mistake. I'm sorry. But I don't think I did that much. Advent still lost. And I probably would've been shot down if not for Freedom's help. But if you think I put in the work with Advent then I won't argue. I appreciate the recognition." Takahashi stated as he spoke frankly and crossed his arms. "I'm no big shot ace. And I don't do the 'friends' things very well. But I'm not stupid enough to turn down a hand when its offered. I'll listen if not because I was rude just now." Takahashi told the Meijin as he looked at him straight he didn't want to offend him further. He wasn't someone that would do well off as an enemy. The least he could do was hear him out. But did he really do all that much Advent's shots were reflected...he did so little to the king it was almost insulting.

Well, Takatora didn't want to be the one person who refused a friend request from the Meijin. He didn't care for Daigo's personality, but he wasn't exactly personable himself a lot of the time. Reluctantly, he accepted the request, "I don't know what good I am to you. I didn't even take part in the Event." he said with a grumble. All this socializing, it wasn't exactly the reason he logged in that day. He wanted an escape, to be able to focus on something and therefore not have to think about the real world for a little while. To that end, battles were typically a good way to accomplish that. But not the talking. All that did was make him think he was in the real world, and the real world wasn't something he was in any mood to think about.

"Even if I did... I'm not sure I would've seen it through anyway." to keep from having to stare at everyone, he brought up his game menu and just aimlessly read through the Hayabusa's stat screen. Honestly it was a good thing it didn't get destroyed yet. The truth was that Takatora wasn't sure he would even be able to fix it properly if that ever happened. It wasn't his Gunpla. Not his design, and the only person who could even teach it to him was... Takatora hurriedly shut off the menu screen and looked around awkwardly. He was hoping someone, anyone, would say something else and change the subject to shift the focus away from him.

”Oh yeah Mejin, heard about him.”

Miyuki slammed her hand against her palm, probably leaving Isamu in confusion by knowing about the person she stated she had no idea who he was. Though it could come across as a four year old pretending to know about a subject in a futile attempt to sound smart.

”Well come on Takashi, have some pride for once! You were the only one not to screw up!

Miyuki slapped her former teammate on the back several times. If this wasn’t a game, she probably would have cursed Taka with years of terrible backpains considering the clearly audible slapping sounds, which you wouldn’t expect to be added in a Gundam game. Perhaps it’s for the recreation of a slapping of a certain beam happy coordinator.

”Well Daigo, I’ll accept. From the look of this it looks like you could need more friends.”

Miyuki, while rude and borderline insulting, was probably the warmest reception he was getting. Though while Miyuki was smiling, her eyes said that she had, well, her eye on him. She had pretty expressive eyes. Either way it would appear that most of the group was at least suspicious of the famous weirdo butting in on their conversation and trying to offer a shady deal of friendship.

"Ah jeez Miyuki you don't gotta keep hitting me. I just don't like to take undue praise from people. I like to earn it through my gunpla you already know that." grumbled Takahashi as he rubbed his virtual spine. He hoped that she would stop doing that...but he knew better. As he stared at the group he couldn't help but feel that this was the start of something he would later regret getting into. This whole thing reeked of the start of a bad anime. Like what the heck was even going on here? A bunch of kids going up against a champ fighting him to a near draw, and then his rival shows up with a suspicious 'friend request' like...this had a really fishy label slapped all over it.
