His notifications dinged in his ears softly. "Well you're right pilot of the Gemini. I don't usually concern myself with the players under B-Rank but like I said, you guys were the firs to knick, King. It regards your potential as both opponents and allies. As the fifth Meijin it falls upon me to choose a successor some day as well. That is a duty I refuse to take lightly."
"I'm sure a few of you had noticed but King's strength is at least A-rank. Its exceedingly rare for a Diver like King to go unchecked for as long as he has. So rare in fact that some players believed him a secret event parlayed by the Admins. Foolish as that sounded, It was hard to discern his complicated maneuvers from an advanced A.I. in the beginning."
Isamu cuffed his chin. He had believed that King was strong but he wasn't able to put a Rank to the strength. Is this another gap filled in by experience? He ruffled his hair, another plucky quirk among the temp Force members. He took the moment to realize there was something special about this certain combination. Something that went beyond a group of naturals or experienced players. It felt like they all could gain something important from being together.
Isamu concealed a closed-lipped smile. I'm definitely going to make us a real Force. For sure!
In that endeavor he moved a bit closer to the others.
Daigo pointed to Takahashi with a makeshift gun. "Pilot of the Advent, I will deal with your flaws first. You are too rigid, your mind doesn't allow much room for adaption. And adaption is one of the three keys to victory in all things. You need to loosen up most of all. Though I'll admit your Gunpla is superb in theory, I sense a monster of power in it."
The girl was next and he predicted she'd do some manner of overacting but he preceded anyway. His hand fell in front of her, at first it was a palm-up gesture, than he snapped his hand shut into a fist. "You're overconfident and that comes from some form of experience or gift. But just like my hand, you crushed your chances without thinking things through. I could hardly blame you for using your NT-D system to hijack his funnels but it was obvious he was baiting you. You allowed your emotions to control you, temper them and you'll be more like lightning than a storm."
Daigo gave Miyuki a understanding stare before turning to Isamu and Akira. "I can see growth in both of your futures. I'm assuming the blonde one was the pilot of the Freedom. You were shaken by King, to the point that it left you and your teammates at his mercy. Focus more and you'll see improvement. As for the sacrificial lamb, what you lack is trust. You dove to save her because you thought she'd lose."
"I simply thought she'd fair better than me," Isamu said with mirth.
"You need some experience ... Anyone could see the Gemini was fine."
Daigo started for the door. "Well that's my advice for now. Do some training, It'll do you all a world of good." The hiss of the door fell silent behind him.
Isamu stared off at the door, brow cocked. "He's intense. A bit too intense."
