This is revival of a rp I tried to make a while ago, and things went south before it picked up. So, before we get to the plot, and the fun, I have to address something. I'm not a GM that believes GM word is absolute law, I do however believe that as a GM, those who wish to participate in my roleplay, a certain amount of respect is due. If at some point I see I need to add a rule, it's because I felt it was needed, if you don't like it, feel free to voice such, politely explaining why, and I will do my best to explain why I added it, in a similar manner. I will enforce any rules I deem fit, one of which is that I, as the GM, can add rules if I feel they're needed. With that out of the way, let's get to the good stuff.

Welcome ladies and gentlemen to the annual Dragons Cry Tournament!
Dragons Cry has been the strongest guild in Fiore for six years now, and it holds this title due to how it get's members. Everyone who is a part of Dragons Cry, regardless of how weak they may seem, has entered this tournament. Why? Because it's how you get in! Every year hundreds of people join the tournament, and only a few actually make it to the finals, and into the guild.
Why would so many people go through this? Well, Dragons Cry is home to not only one, but multiple dragon slayers, as well as a popular idol!
So, back to the Tournament! It's essentially a free for all battle royale. All the participants are split up, and released into an arena in groups of five. Only one emerging. After, they are pitted against a winner from another bracket. Once past this stage, you're solid, guaranteed a spot in the guild. So, you might ask, why continue? Well, if you make it that far you get to fight one of the higher ranking members of Dragons Cry. If you manage to survive for five minutes, or even win, you get a 10,000 Jewel prize, as well as free board for a year!
Dragons Cry isn't all about power though. Ask any member, the true goal isn't power, but friendship. Attack one member, and you'll have the rest of the guild to deal with as well.

______________________________________________________________

"So Neo, what's this about, I thought we were experienced members of the guild?"
You're free to have experience within the guild! In fact, I encourage both newbies, and vets! That is more or less an intro that I bullshitted, since I don't have any actual plots for the IC yet. Plus, it gives you an idea of how the guild operates! XD

"Okay, that's great and all, but after reading, I saw there's an Idol in the guild? Can I make this character?"
No. Why? Because the Idol character is an important plot point later on, and will be a GM controlled character. This roleplay is about a strong guild, with mages who are all viewed pretty much as equals, while some are inherently going to be stronger, it's a roleplay about everyone, no one character is any more important than another.

"With the guild being called Dragons Cry, is it a guild only for dragon slayers?"
Certainly not. Dragons Cry was a guild made by a group of strong mages, who wanted a guild that could stand beside them as equals. As such, they are known as the strongest guild in Fiore, and while they are known for having the most dragon slayers of any guild, they have many mages of different magics.

"What's the Dragons Cry guild mark?"
A guild mark is, if you haven't seen the show, a mark on a part of a guild members body proving they are part of the guild, so if for example they take a job at a high security complex, they can prove to guards who they are. In terms of Dragons Cry's, it is a dragon. Everyone's sheet needs to list where this mark is, and what it's color is.

"Okay, well what about this character sheet then, oh wonderful Neo?"
Well, I'm a GM who believes in creativity, I give a base sheet and you are expected to fill it to the best of your ability. You are free to add whatever you feel necessary, of course removing anything is out of the question. While I encourage creativity and flaws, I will not except cop-out characters. Guild mark color and location should be in appearance, feel free to be exotic! Nothing lewd, if you wouldn't show it to a guard, then it's in the wrong place, nudists that are comfortable flashing private areas do not count, no lewdness whatsoever!

"Cop-out characters? What does that entail?"
Cop-out characters are characters with lazy sheets. For example, if your character's history on the sheet is 'So and So has amnesia.' then you have decided to be lazy. Before any of you try to argue that amnesia is a real mental illness, and an interesting character flaw, I'm not saying you can't have a character with amnesia. I'm saying that regardless of whether or not they know their history, it still exists. A person's past does not vanish simply because they can't remember it, otherwise people would suddenly be unborn the second they got amnesia.

"Okay, I get your point there, but what if I want some mystery to my character?"
If there is for some reason anything you want to keep a secret, then you can PM me explaining what you want kept secret, and why it's important to be such. Now, you might be thinking "what's the point if I tell you?" and the point is, I'm the GM, if your secret involves some world-killing god, and you don't tell me, and we're in the middle of an Arc, and all of a sudden it comes up, it's gonna throw a wrench in everything, as such it's important I know such details.

"What is up with these colors? They're hurting my eyes you awful, evil neko!"
Mwahahaha. More seriously though, if you don't like it, tell me, and suggest a less eyesore of a color that would please you more. If you just don't like the colors, but they don't injure your eyes in any way, then you can deal with them, because you thought I was an awful, evil neko for using them!

Rules
Be kind. I will not tolerate rudeness of any sort. This includes respect for both your fellow roleplayer, and your GM.
Be smart. Common sense, if you think something might be against a rule, it probably is, even if it's not listed. If you really can't decide, ask, there's never any shame in getting clarification on something.
Be Un-Lewd. If you wanna be lewd, take it to PMs, mature themes can be implied in histories, however we likely won't be doing anything 'mature' in the actual roleplay. This does not mean fights and such will not occur, this will have mature things in the sense of typical anime violence, there will simply not be any sexual scenes of any kind. Keep it ecchi at best. For those who don't know, ecchi has the occasional lewd joke or pervert, but never escalates into anything much more than that.
Your characters are yours, X's characters are X's. Unless they expressly give you permission to control their character, don't.
Have fun. If you lose interest please tell me. If you have any ideas for the rp, share them! I don't bite too hard.
Limits. Okay, so in canon Fairy Tail has the most dragon slayers to a single guild at four, which means we only need five to hit that requirement, and as such I will except no more than six. Lost magic will be iffy, and I might accept one or two, however don't hold your breath, and if you don't want to waste effort, I suggest talking to me first about any such ideas in detail.

Hey I saw your RP and thought that it'd be extremely fun. I haven't actually had the chance to roleplay for a couple of years now since I've recently finished up with high school last year. This is a character I actually used a couple of years ago but never had the chance to fix them up and use her in another Fairy Tail roleplay. I took a lot of time into fixing her up from the mess and bland character she originally was. I've never really have a character who grows like this in any of my RPs in the past, so maybe it can be interesting.

Let me know if you have any problems with her and I'll fix them up right away for you, or even offer suggestions because I'm open to a lot of options since I'm getting back into all of this stuff. Personally I could have done a Dragon Slayer for the guild but I believe that I wouldn't have made them interesting enough and prefer a character like this to control as.

“Hmm, yes see I prefer to eat for free, or virtually for free, so I am going to have to stop you in your tracks,” he says flipping out a red fan with cherry blossoms blowing in the wind. Positively bored with you, he gives a cocky raise of his brow. He seems to be underestimating you at this point of time. A wind picks up, kicking up dirt, his long, white, silver hair blowing in the wind. The fluff of his tail also blowing delicately in the wind. The smell of pipe tobacco picking up from the breeze. He just continues to smirk and look down at you with violet irises that reminded you of marbles, the way they shined. Long claw like nails wrapped around the spine of his fan.

Age: 25

Gender: Male

His hair has been cut since the last time you’ve seen him, though it is still powdery and silver. It shines in the sun with vigor, while his skin is pale, and snow like. It is soft to the touch. Though it will always be the white tail that sticks out or even his ears that stick out. The demon doesn’t seem to mind the stares he got, in fact he might even ignore it. Or if he’s not ignoring it, he certainly has enough self assurance that it doesn’t bother him. He walks with stride. His self confidence in himself reflected in the choice of clothing he decides to wear. Bright, patterned, kimonos, paired with matching kimono jackets, and sandaled shoes. He pairs different fans with his outfit as well as a way to personalize himself. A strong, but graceful stride in the steps he takes he has pride in himself. Maybe too much pride.

The smell of pipe tobacco comes off of him, it’s not unpleasant it’s mixed in with odd floral tones that you didn’t think a demon could possess. Like cherries or flowering blossoms, he smells earthy and sweet. He stands at 5’8”, 172cms, he is leanly built, with some muscular tone to him. He is built not as a hulking warrior, but more like an agile, nimble fighter, There is a slimness to his face that is streamlined and narrow, with pensive features. His hands and arms are elegantly shaped, boney, thought not too boney. There is a non human elegance that comes from his appearance. And he knows it too, carrying himself with noble importance.

“Oh so you think you’re important. Well let me not knock you down a few pegs, but unless your name is on a wanted billboard someone no one thinks you’re as important as you like to think you are,”

His voice is full and rich, it is airy and light, with a slight fruitiness to it. A light eccentric, flamboyance, Rún doesn’t come off as he looks. Which is harsh and rough despite his flamboyantly colored garbs. However, Rún is light in the way he addresses people, his voice is relaxed and calm, his tone has a charm. Though it is subject to change to hoarseness, and stark seriousness if someone has managed to irritate him. Which is a bit of a difficult task.

Personality:

Rune will most likely rub people the wrong way, his arrogance and perceived self importance that gives him the atmosphere of some haughty prince treating others like his disciples. And while it is true, Rune holds a lot of self importance, to the point it becomes arrogant cockiness, he actually doesn’t view himself above others. Only presume to due to his princely nature. While confident, maybe too prideful, Rune is never mean or cruel to others. He may tease them though that’s the way Rune shows affection to others, he leaves cruelty for those who truly deserve it.

While Rune would not be considered a warm cuddly personality, as he’s not the type to lend someone advice, but observe in their own failings. Rune is a loyal and trusting friend to those who have earned his trust and that is hard. Rune is not an easily trusting person and even those who may have known him for long time, may not know Rune for a long time. He has a lot of distrust in others, part of his arrogant attitude actually may be merely a self defense mechanism.

Being put down too much in his earlier life has made him distrusting of others and he full heartedly believes others have ulterior motives. Those who are kind to you, want something from you. Those that hate you, hate something inside themselves and use you as a scapegoat. Those who love you, choose to betray you. So and so forth. Internally Rune could be described as a lonely personality who puts up walls for others to not care for him. While simultaneously putting a lot of effort to care for others and help them out.

Though not through any words. Rune will never tell someone nice. Instead he’ll simply do something nice without ever attaching his name. If he hears a guild member cannot pay for boarding he’ll pay, but threaten the person he paid to not speak a word of his payment. He prefers others at a distance. Probably due to others putting him down, stems his overconfidence to prove to others he doesn’t care what others have to say about him. While internally overanalyzing what those he cares for think of him when they say a certain word.

In battle and when it comes to actual business Rune is efficient and highly competent. While he may not be as powerful as say a Slayer, Rune’s power comes in his ability to analyze, and observe a situation. A very observant character who reads people on and off the battlefield, he can easily pinpoint their personal weaknesses and attacks their physical and personal flaws for the right type of advantage. A planner, and a thinker Rune is efficient in coming up with a strategy. Those who know Rune know that he learns his hunt before he ever goes charging head in first. Of course Rune will also charge in if he sees it as something beneficial.

Though beyond the seriousness of some of Rune’s personality traits, he’s often more seen taking the pissing. Poking fun at others or relaxing sipping sake or tea depending on the time of day. He doesn’t seem to take too much of anything seriously unless someone really pulls it out of him and someone who does pull out Rune’s seriousness is in for a rude awakening of an individual who isn’t particularly nice. Rune has no personal feelings of others cruelty, because he can be cruel. Someone who disrespects him or directly harms those Rune has directly determined as someone willing to help will face a harsh punishment. Rune rarely, unless ordered, leaves someone alive on a mission. He has no regards for others who are not in his inner circle. They can die and they can beg for mercy, but he won’t necessarily care. As much as he can be joking and appear less than intelligent. He can also quickly shift and show his malicious side. Rune can look a man cold in the eye and feel no guilt, regret or shame for killing him while he begs for mercy.

Rune will protect those he deems worth protecting. He will engage with those he deems worth engaging with. And anyone without this regard, is better off dead or away from him. What Rune won't accept is the help from others, he doesn't need it. And it's only a way for someone to buy him a favor. But Rune will accept helping others himself. Living in an oddly specific quirk dynamic.

Skills:

Sailing

For a good majority of Rune’s life was on the seas, and being on the seas meant boats and boats meant learning how to navigate the boats. Rune has quite the mastery of sailing boats on the open seas. And he’s free. Nothing like exploiting your guild members useful skills when need be so you don’t have pay.

Diplomacy

Rune can be quite cunning, like a nobleman, he walks the walk and talks the talk. He can be persuasive and charming. Rune knows the right words to say, and the wrong words to say when it comes to matters of talking your way out of the reasons why it would be a terrible idea to be squished.

Navigating a Map

As a pirate you needed to know where you were going and the natural and man made obstacles in your way. You needed to be able to record your path and understand the terrain you were about to enter. You needed a map. A map is the true holy treasurer of a pirate, Captain B would say. Rune can read and navigate maps very well and find the path with the least obstacles in the way, there is nothing worse than having an obstacle in the way.

Boat Enthusiasts

Not only is Rune a great sailor, he’s sort of has an understanding of a boat. He can tell the wood a boat is made from and place its location, he can tell when a boat is no more comparable than a piece of floating wood and he can certainly tell when someone is trying to sell him the difference between a junkyard boat and a royalty crown boat. Rune also collects boats in jars and is very particular about these and how they are cared for.

Mockery

While Rune could certainly charm his way out of danger. Sometimes danger isn’t going to be charmed so he has another tactic. That tactic would be to mock his enemies until he’s demoralized them so much they either give up from shame or fight with little to no vigor. Rune can see right through people sometimes and he can be quite cunning when he wants to be.

Appraiser

Rune learned how to assess the value of items. He can tell you when a piece of treasure is also a piece of trash. Or whether something you have is of actual value. Rune’s a pretty good expert on treasure and finding treasure at that.

Magic:

Smoke Maker Magic

While it is true that people see Rune smoking his tobacco pipe for pleasure. He’s also been seen on the field with his smoking pipe. Usually to mock or ridicule his opponents as he’s often seen lounging before battle. While others might run their mouth, Rune might be smoking his pipe, sitting on a picnic blanket, with a parasol, making tea. While it is certainly disrespectful, Rune antics shouldn’t be taken lightly when you understand the nature of his magic. As Rune uses a form of smoke maker magic. Which means he can mold his magic through his smoke.

What he can mold through his smoke is as near limitless as the creators imagination. Though Rune likes to muse his opponents with animals usually, though he can create swords as favorably as he creates animals. Though his smoke maker magic is not only as strong as the use of hands, it also seems the strength of the spell is the source of his smoke.

His pipe may not create perfect shapes. And there is a slight chance that his shapes may disappear if someone breaks the illusion and recognizes it’s just smoke. But the shapes from his pipe will always be weaker than say the shapes he can create from the smoke of a large fire.

Name: Sarah Endswitch

Age: 22

Gender: Loli

Guild: Dragons Cry

Appearance: Describing Sarah as small would be very accurate although a little dangerous if she's in earshot. Her small stature and baby face make her look a lot younger than she actually is, and her young look has gotten her mistaken as a minor many times. Her vibrant hair is a personal pride of hers running all the way down past her shoulders to her waist. She keeps this bright blue mess of hair well cleaned maintained and most importantly... Out of her face... Speaking of her face, it's home to a set of big azure eyes that gleam like precious stones when she's excited.

Voice: Sarah's voice is exactly how you would imagine it. High soft and adorable. Just picture girl scouts with cookies, then you pretty much got it. Though this cute and fuzzy tone is slaughtered when she gets angry, she doesn't sound like the most intimidating person but there is an undeniable venom that shows itself in her moments of anger.

Height: 5 foot even or 152.4cms

Weight: 94.8lbs or 43kg

Emblem location/colour: Sarah hasn't acquired an emblem yet but she hopes to soon.

Personality: Sarah is a joyful little munchkin always happy and trying to have a good time, though her temper often gets in the way. She's very easy to anger having a fuse comparable to her stature, while she's not one to just hate people for pissing her off, though she knows how to hold a decent grudge. She has two distinct ways of showing her anger. It's either a harmless "humph" and a pout. Or she'll sound like she's about to gut you and hang your entrails on the walls.

Sarah is also stubborn as a rock, this can be both a positive and a negative dependent on situation. There is a benefit to never giving up, having the ability to try and pull through no matter what. But sometimes that kind of reckless abandon can end in situations that could have been avoided. Getting into an argument with Sarah is ill advised. Though her rough exterior isn't without cracks and she is a thoughtful and supportive person, not often but she'll be there when it counts.

She may give you a hard time but if Sarah has picked you as a friend, you can look forward to her never leaving your side. Her Loyalty is something that is almost impossible to break with brute force, and if you even think about hurting her or her friends you'll have hell to pay. Sarah isn't one to take anyone's crap, and if you give her any problems you better be ready for her to get you back.

Positive personality traits:
  • Stubborn
  • Supportive
  • Fun
  • Loyal

Negative personality traits:
  • Stubborn
  • Short tempered
  • Vindictive

Skills: Sarah is a rather good cook, she did feed a family of 14 when she was still living with her family. And That many mouths requires an expansive range of cooking skills, after all not everyone has the same tastes. She won't cook master quality meals, but if you need a lot of mouths satisfied she's the Loli for the job.

Along side her cooking skills Sarah is a master at cramming things into other things. Say you need someone to get all your stuff packed into a briefcase or cabinet she'll be able to neatly and effectively fill them to their absolute limit. Just don't blame her if they explode when you open them wrong.

Now if there was ever a Loli you didn't want to get in a drinking competition with it's Sarah. Nobody (including herself) knows how this tiny woman can down so much alcohol. She can drink as much as someone 4 times her size before getting tipsy, though her getting drunk is not a pretty sight at all.

History:

Dot points so I don't forget.
.Farm
.Big family
.Fights monsters on farm
.Monsters give up after getting beat loads of times
.Sarah want's to keep fighting
.Decides to (try) join Dragons cry

Magic: Sarah's magic lets her take the form of many different beast forms, each form having their own set of abilities. While she can switch form in rapid succession it puts a large amount of stress on her body and mind, making her exhausted and disorientated. Another thing to note is the amount and the magnitude of changes her body has to go through to achieve the forms wears her out in varying degrees. This being said once she's changed into a form she can sit in it comfortably as long as she desires.

{Pronounced: Kor [as in coral] - rye }

Ember Moon

Age: 17

Gender: Male

Koray is an odd one indeed, it’s hard to begin to describe him. Those who know him have a hard time explaining him. On one hand he probably has more energy than them, seemingly moving nimbly and acrobatic with such a large weapon. As if movement doesn’t restrict him. Another hand the young man is wearing half plate armor, but he moves with speed that shouldn’t be possible. With a strength that should slow him down. A fierce fighter and a stronger personality Koray is as fiery as his name suggest, but as enigmatic as the mysterious of a full moon.

To even begin to detail Koray’s strange odd fashion would be lengthy and take days. Many question how someone can own so many catsuits and be able to get in and out of them everyday. Or how he can find plated armor and a bodysuit comfortable. His outfits are slightly various, and he’s seen with an interesting array of looks. The picture above this shows Koray wearing a tunic, with two loose tassels at each corner, with a bodysuit and plated armor. Though there is something interesting with Koray and his plated armor. At least for most of his outfits with gems, he wears them as bicep bracelets and knee shin guards. When the gem is activated, the plated armor is retracted out.

Mostly straight, long white hair often kept neat and tied in the back, beside a few times that it may be styled by someone else. His eyes are often highlighted by a starkly contrasting red and blue eyeliner close to his red and blue heterochromia eyes. For someone who wears partial plate armor, his body frame is wiry, lithe, thin, and lean with slight muscle definition, but nothing that would indicate the hardy warrior he is. Somewhat ambiguous body features, but mostly still pretty beauty masculine. For seventeen he stands relatively tall at 5’10”, 177cms, and weighing a solid 135lbs, 61kg. His lean build betrays his otherwise hardy skillset.

“You’re one weird little freak”

“Thank you”

“It wasn’t a compliment”

“Then why would you say it”

“I’m more worried that you’re serious with that response”

-continues to look perplexed-

At looking at Koray you would assume some hardened warrior with the voice as steel as the sword at the side of their hip. You probably expect more facial hair too and maybe a bit older, and a scar across their eye, but we digress. Koray is none of those things. Instead he sounds like someone who doesn’t have a complete grasp of the language, most of the time he’s either lost the meaning entirely of your point, or sounds confused at to its meeting. In fact Koray sounds about as an adolescent boy would sound. It’s silvery and light, it has a grace in it’s cadence steps like that which would indicate even compliment his pretty, but masculine features.

It has a boyishness and charm to it, that’s horribly butchered by broken up sentences when speaking in the common tongue. You won’t hear him compound words like doesn’t and wouldn’t. He’ll say wood not and do not. He’ll likely call someone who’s name is Ray, Rye. Amy might turn into Ah-my. It’s clear that he comes from somewhere far away. Though despite his funny way of pronouncing things, he’s boyish, with a soft spoken tone. Another contradictory upon many of his contradictories.

Awake Mode

“You are done here. Meet annihilation. I will erase you.”

His head drops low as he falls to his knees. Has he given up? Has he finally understood his place in this world?

“Hahahah, giving up already, I guess I will put an end to you and here I was excited for a sheer second. Truly you sent a shiver down my spine,”

A wind begins to pick up, his white hair is blowing in the wind, the hair tie he had been wearing had come off long ago. His hair was beginning to be overtaken by red, crimson began to spill across a white canvas that way you would see ink spread on paper when it was spilled. He began to be surrounded by an overwhelming aura. Wait, was he this strong when you first fought him? You assumed his only magic was still developing. He continues to utter to himself, digging his hands into the earth. He slowly raises his head. Standing up the gem in his chest had begun to glow golden.

“Mock all you like. I meant I will end you.”

He doesn’t sound much different from the boy enjoying himself a minute ago, except angier. The white of his eyes are slowly turning black, as his blue and red eye become golden in color. His aura a forewarning of what you’re in for. His magic, gold like flames. He stares at you with a seriousness he has not otherwise shown earlier. You realize now with that stare, with that aura, that shows you clearly what he will do. He truly meant what was said. This is your end.

Personality:

To say the least Koray is...odd. Part of that probably has to do with the language better, he’s certainly has gotten better with his communication over the years. Though still has a tendency to confuse the meaning of some words for other words. As he is under the impression Alien is used in the same term as beautiful or handsome. Though this doesn’t mean Koray doesn’t communicate well with others, he communicates well enough despite the oddities in his pattern of speech. A habit to use insults like they are adjectives without realizing their negative context. Some who wouldn’t know Korays backstory might read him off as some seventeen year old with manners, while Koray lives in a world where his words are genuinely meant in a positive way. Except how you call someone an alien positively is still confusing to most.

Koray is never purposely mean to others or malicious, it’s his lack of awareness at times that he doesn’t recognize his own slights. Though he’s working on it, he’s genuinely seen as a curious person with a sense of adventure. He rather desires exploration. His goal in life is to see everything the world has to offer. He doesn’t necessarily desire the battles that come with it, however, it is something that he sees is necessary. It isn’t necessarily something he enjoys, though Koray’s own personal resolve means that he will find something in it to enjoy in it. Perhaps it is the sense of freedom it gives him when he’s able to move in a way that defies logic. Though battle is no way to motivate Koray. He rather avoid it, not so much avoidance that he isn’t half the time being the one leading the charge.

He’s actually quite competent on the battlefield. Koray who is an otherwise, somewhat airheaded, but never really dumb off the battlefield, quickly switches gear when it comes to life or death. Everything Koray throws into the fray is for the means of surviving the ordeal. It’s why you’ll see him be the one to strike the first blow. He doesn’t like loud mouths, people who talk a lot about themselves, but have yet to prove themselves. He’s not usually, at least when it comes to combat, one to let another person finish his sentence. Long monologuers beware, you might get a spear thrown at you mid sentence. Act or do not. But if you don’t act someone else will. He will.

Koray is quite intelligent, despite the impression that people would get that he isn’t. It’s probably the language barrier that creates a false narrative. While Koray may look lost and confused with what others have to say, the fact that he’s even learned to communicate as “effectively” as he can now is because he’s a quick learner who picks things up rather quickly. Those who do get to have a conversation with Koray recognize behind the odd speech is someone who is quite rational, with a profound philosophical point of view. Perhaps it's indicative of the culture he originally came from. Someone who respects the mortality of others and honors their enemy as much as their honor their ally. Though that’s not something he’ll talk about on a constant. It’s seen more in his actions than anything else. Koray would never intentionally someone off the battlefield, as he won’t intentionally insult the enemy on the battlefield either. Though Koray isn’t much of a talker on the battlefield. Battlefields are for the clashing of weapons, not ideals.

Koray’s curiosity can get the better of him, he has the type of personality who recognizes both the danger of doing something and yet will do it anyway. If a button says don’t press it, he’s already probably worked out it’s a bad thing. Yet, he’ll do it anyway because an adventure isn’t an adventure without the thrill or taking risk. And perhaps someone has set something up in a way to make it look dangerous, but there could be a great reward behind those who take bold action. He’s also known for doing really weird things as well. There’s a story about a piece of fruit that fell in front of the path they walked, not even a large fruit, probably the size of a pebble and Koray sliced it in half and continued walking forward. People are not necessarily so sure what goes on in Koray’s mind during these moments.

In Sleeping Mode he’s quite docile. The best way to motivate Koray is not through battle, but expressing the adventure he is about to embark. The journey is more important to Koray than the end. Koray is quite social and doesn’t let his lack of proper language get in the way. Though few people are patience with him as patience as he is with them.

In Awake Mode, it’s not quite a personality shift, but Koray’s usual demeanor changes from the curious adolescent to a much more serious individual. While his views of battle may have not changed, as Awake Mode is not a separate personality, Awake Mode can be quite cold and callous to life and death. In Awake Mode you are only set for death when you face him. Koray doesn’t necessarily care in this mode and seems blinded by whatever emotion has been the one to awaken this mode. Whether it to be to protect his friends, that is his singular goal. Or that be that he’s really pissed and wants you dead, that is his singular goal.

Koray is aware of all his actions. Though he’s not necessarily how he should process the things he does in Awake Mode. Should it be guilt and shame? Should it be regret? In those states Koray doesn’t necessarily care for the individual and a part of him will always be unclear, as he is blinded by the state of emotion that put him in that mind frame in the first place.

Skills:

Language Barrier Mastery

Koray has seemed to master the language barrier with not only butchered sentence structures, but complimentary words that actually have negative context to them. He uses the word Alien and Idiot in the same context you use Beautiful and Handsome. He’s also mastered to get him lost a few times in the city because of his inability to read the signs properly. There’s a story about how he got lost going to the Dragons Cry Club and ended up at the Dragon Port Tavern.

Valiah [Vah-ly-ah] Tribe Warfare

Before a clansman can become a titled Guide, they go through rigorous training of the mind, body and spirit before they are put up to the task of the Virtue of Mortality. And even then not all make it through the training and each training is different depending on the responsibility expected of you in the clan. It is these lessons that are the answers to Koray’s uniqueness. Young boys and girls who are to be expected to be the clans protectors are put through harsh physical training. Taught to swim with weights on their ankles, or to climb trees with acrobatic finesse wearing heavy jackets with weighted plates. Their minds and spirits constantly tested with states of depravity, hunger, isolation, and abandonment. Their spirits put to the test through nightmares induced by tribe witch doctors that they must overcome. If the test are not passed through either death or that your mind breaks, you are abandoned from the tribe and not qualified for the ritual of titled Guide. Not only are they trained, but they given the knowledge of various based weaponry upon the understanding the Virtue of Mortality will drain them of their vigor. That war is about sacrificing a part of oneself for power. Power comes at a cost and the cost is a part of yourself. If you do not understand tribulation then you will not be able to protect others.

Minor Weapon Repair

Part of his training was learning how to repair his tools on the spot with quick fixes. He’s no blacksmith or craftsman, but if there is a crack or chip, he can easily find a mend or repair that would be serviceable until he could get it appropriately fixed.

Quick Solutions

Koray is also pretty quick at coming up with solutions to the a problem or scenario. Again do to his training in his tribe, sometimes you were thrown out into the forest with no plans. You had to keep your wits about you and come up with quick on the spot solutions to any number of problems that could occur. While Koray’s lack of language may make others think he’s dumb, it is quite the opposite. Koray is sharp and cunning, he sees the world with a near limitless amount of possibilities and opportunities.

Survivalist

Sometimes when you’re thrown out into the wilderness to fend for yourself, you have to learn quickly how to survive that scenario. You need to learn where to make your camp, how to start a fire, how to tie a knot, how to fish, and how subsist off of nothing. Koray is a sufficient survivalist, if you are to get lost in the wild you’d likely want to get lost with Koray, His ability to come up with solutions combined with his ability to utilize survivalist knowledge means you’re least likely to die with him around.

Magical Items Carried:

Embrie [Em-bree] - Spear Pointed Polearm

When he survived the Virtue of Mortality, he was gifted upon the Embrie. A golden spear pointed polearm, with his name carved into its shaft from his Father. When inactive the spear looks about as ordinary as a spear gets, despite it’s ornate design, a spiraling prong, and spike head. When the spear is activated unsheathed, it lights aflame.

Ounderous [Oon-der-us] - Bow n Arrow

An enchanted bow of his clan, gifted to him by the Grand Guidance when he decided to set out on his journey. The bow charges every arrow that is drawn with its string with a slight bit of electricity. Though the electric arrows have another feature, which is used to act like a conduit to each other. He may strike an enemy with a singular arrow, or surround them with arrows, to release a supercharged arrow for it to arc to every other arrow as well. Having the enemy receive a shock of their lifetime.

Magic:

Virtue of Mortality - Lost Magic

In the Valiah there is one thing that grants all life secret, knowledge, and power, and that is the Godiah’s Stone. These Stones are said to be the origins of magic, at least in their clans lore it is. It is the tears of their Goddess Creator left behind in this world when her lover left her. And this stone grants those that bond with it a great boon for a great cost. Their bodies become host to the crystal so it may be harvested again to repeat the cycle. A cycle that has been going on for many years when the Guidance found the power of the crystals serviceable to the people. Depending on one’s expectations and duties in the tribe, the Godiah, Goddess Eye Stone, is inserted in different parts of the body.

For the Pedagogue a symbol of their knowledge is to accept the Virtue of Mortality inserted in the center of their foreheads. The Crystal will eventually fuse with their skulls and in the temples, the Ruby Skulls are erected in their honor after death. While the Crystal is parasitic in nature, it is a symbiotic relationship with the one that host it. Connecting itself to their bloodstream and subsisting off the same components a human life might need. Thus removing the crystal after a while becomes dangerous as the body compensates for the crystal.

For the Vanquisher the crystal is placed in the individual's heart and displayed in the center of their chest. The Vanquisher earns the title Ruby Heart if he or she makes it through complete fusion with the Crystal. While the Crystal for the Pedagogue is a concern, they have more expectation to fuse to adulthood with the crystal without issue. The Vanquisher could die before the ritual is complete for a number of reasons;

The initial cause of death would be during the ritual itself, when the chest is cut open and the surgery to perform the fusion is taking place. Some end up bleeding out before they can be closed up.

The second cause of death would be after the ritual during the first phase of fusion. The first phase of fusion begins in the first year of the crystal being placed inside their chest. This is often when the body rejects the crystal and begins an autoimmune response in the same way it would if it were to reject an organ.

The third cause of death would be the year after the first phase of fusion when there was something that went wrong during the first phase of fusion that the fusion fused in the wrong way and begins a painful process of heart failure or even the heart fails to beat properly at all.

And even if the Vanquisher makes it through all of that after the ritual. There are still trials to face as the crystal takes five years to fully phase to the Vanquisher.

Though due to the nature of the ritual. The training before the insertion is considered crucial, fail to pass it, then you will never be given a Godiah Stone. And those in the tribe are heavily screened by their Witch Doctors in order to find those most susceptible to magic in order to handle the ritual better, As death is not the end goal of this ritual. But it is a way to bless one with the boon of their Goddess.

Within the tribe there are other professions that would be honored for fusion. Witch Doctors are given Crystals in their hands, a symbolization of their healing and abilities to connect with the world with merely a magical touch. And Overseer, the one who looks over the whole of the tribe. His crown would be made of the crystal fusion surrounding his head and fusing into it, his heart is the God’s center, and his hands are the Gods touch. To earn the position of Overseer one must be durable. And every few centuries the Foreseer the one to look into the future may have a crystal fused to one eye.

Koray’s Boon from the Godiah Stone is Demonic Inversion.

The two main states of Koray’s magic are Sleep Mode [Inactive] and Awake Mode [Active]. Inactive the Godiah Stone passively records any spell directed towards him. It doesn’t record any spell that has not directly come into the stone and the stone does not absorb damage. Koray is still affected by spells like an ordinary person. Instead the spells the Godiah Stone records becomes Koray’s spells during Awake Mode.

Sleep Mode

During Sleep Mode Koray struggles to make his own magical powerful. For those who are not aware of his Demonic Inversion, they would probably write him off as a struggling lesser mage who just learned to practice a few spells. But Koray’s Godiah Stone inactive makes it difficult for him to conjure enough powerful spells to take down powerful opponents. It’s why Koray relies heavily on his physical combat in Sleep Mode. Though it is best not to underestimate Koray as an incompetent mage. With what little magic he does have, he uses to enhances the enchantments in his blades. The stone absorbs or perhaps blocks too much of his own magic to make his magic worth fighting with.

There are other issues that are more prominent in Sleep Mode than they are in Awake Mode which allows him to block and ignore most things due to having a singular drive. Due to the fact that he is only on his second year of fusion he suffers from sharp chest pains. Though they don’t bother him as much as they use to, not when he was first given the stone. Still they come from time to time and they can be like someone is stabbing him every heartbeat.

He also is drained of all of his magic coming out of Awake Mode and requires time to recover his magic beforehand.

While in Sleep Mode though he has all the natural durability a mage might, he simply has a hard time conjuring his own spells.

Awake Mode

Unfortunately Koray does not have the ability to access Awake Mode on himself. It is often awakened by a strong, powerful, desire or emotion i.e. the emotion to protect friends, the desire to survive, etc. The stone in his chest is often affected by a strong adrenaline rush in which he transforms into his demonic state. When the Stone is activated Koray has access to his own magic, which has been sealed and stored in the stone when Inactive and has access mainly to all the Spells directed towards him in battle. Because Koray was never taught or knows any spells of his own, his own combat in Awake Mode heavily relies on the amount of Spells he has acquired over the length of the battle.

Even with that said Koray’s awake mode is vast and quite powerful. Near rivaling the strength of Slayer Magic, due to the fact that it is a Lost Magic. Koray power is overwhelming, it is a heavy aura that sits in the air like a heavy weight. It’s hard to breathe through and turns his stone gold. In this mode Koray is driven by his emotions and usually it is a singular goal. A singular base emotion that doesn’t allow him to see reasoning in this moment. It is eliminate X in front of me to achieve Y that I desire, want need, etc.

Awake Mode may only last upwards of five minutes, but Koray only really needs three to overwhelm his enemy with a relentless power. When coming out of Awake Mode, depending on how long Koray had lasted in Awake Mode and how much of his own magic he used to conjure his opponents spells, Koray may have a migraine, sometimes chest pains, and other times he may collapse coming out of transformation. He had been known to sleep for two days afterward in one scenario. Awake Mode is draining and takes a toll on Koray mentally, and physically.

Name: Nixie Ariah Harper
Nickname: Little Terror
Age: Eleven
Gender: female

Height: 4'7"
Weight: 89 lbs
Voice: - click here -
Personality: On the surface she's cute and bubbly, she couldn't possibly have a fighting bone in her body, hell she probably wouldn't even hurt a fly. That was your first thought, that was your first mistake. While yes, she is cute, she is bubbly, she is also very determined to win every fight she's in. She doesn't play fair, and doesn't hold back, giving her opponents everything she's got.
Off the battlefield, she is known just as cute and bubbly as she appears, being perfectly friendly to every stranger she meets, and more so to those she calls friends. During conversations, she will often treat her stuffed unicorn as if it were alive, even when not making it so with her magic. Those who say otherwise, quickly learn why she's called a 'little terror' even when off the battlefield. Taking the unicorn without permission, is as viewed by those around her a guaranteed death sentence, though nobody has ever had the courage to test the theory.

History:
Nixie comes from two well known mages, her mother having been a model for Fiore Weekly, and her father a well known mage. As soon as she learned to walk, at the age of one and a half, they tried to teach her to 'be perfect', her mother teaching her everything about being in front of a camera, and her father trying to teach her magic, though she seemed to lack in magical ability. At first, there seemed to be no hope in raising her in the image that they saw as perfect, and for around a year she had a normal childhood.
Her normal ended rather abruptly however, when a travelling 'doctor' arrived in town, claiming to not only know how to safely implant lacrima crystals into children, but also to be able to forcefully unlock a person's second origin. Her father jumped on the opportunity, justifying it by saying it was better to get it over with quickly and all at once, rather than spread out over the years. Her father payed the man, and he did as he promised. Her father expected her to have dragon slayer magic, as that was what he had heard implanted lacrimas did, though she showed no sign of having dragon slayer magic she did seem to finally grasp the magic he had originally tried to teach.
Over the next couple years she was trained in the art of her father's magic, and thrown in front of every camera possible as 'the youngest mage to have unlocked their second origin', of course her parent's got most of the fame, having been the one's to birth such a 'gifted' child. While they neglected to tell reporters how, they reveled in the fame their daughter's experience had given them. At the age of six, she had fully mastered her father's magic, even more so than him. So, she learned a magic her mother knew, that was 'good for her image'.
It didn't take but a month for her to get a hold of the magic, and only two months longer to master it. As a reward for mastering both magics, they got her a stuffed teddy bear. It wasn't a special bear, but to her it was a sense of normalcy and she even named it Ruffles, so she slept with it every night. One such night, she had a nightmare, and when she awoke, she noticed the house they lived in was in shambles, her father looking very exhausted, and the bear missing it's head near him, it's cotton guts spilling onto the floor. She was devastated, and assumed she did something wrong, and the bears 'death' was her punishment, so she made an effort to be better in front of the camera, and put on better shows against the mages she was made to fight.
Now seven, a week away from eight, her parents decide to tell her about the night 'ruffles the bear' died. They told her that while she was sleeping, she used her magic and turned ruffles into a real bear, and while normally it wouldn't have been dangerous being a product of magic, her nightmare effected it, causing the bear to start destroying everything. Her father stated that the death of the bear was the only way they could stop it, and they didn't fix it for fear it would happen again. They also explained that they would be training her in the use of her new magic. On her eighth birthday she was given another bear, a bear specifically for training, and was told she couldn't make a connection with it, that it was solely a weapon.
A year later, at the age of nine, she's learned many things. How to keep from having nightmares, how to patch a torn stuffed animal, and how beasts of the world fight, her father having taken her along on jobs to teach her. However, she made no progress, and her training bear never came to life. Her parent's were perplexed, and decided that the one night was a fluke, so they threw away the training bear. Later that day, Nixie recovered the bear, deciding that if it was no longer for training, it could replace Ruffles. Not a month after, she brought the bear to life, this time though while she was awake.
Her parent's determined it to be a factor of her actually having a connection with the animal, but still made sure to tell her the bear was nothing more than a weapon no matter how close she felt to it. So, for the next two year she trained again, learning to control it, learning to master it. On her tenth birthday, she was gifted with a variety of stuffed animals, most of which she piled onto her bed in her room, except a unicorn she decided to carry with her. The unicorn was her favorite. She quickly proved to have a bond with it, bringing it to life her first week. It was with this unicorn that she trained her last year, the animal she used to master her magic as much as she could.
A week away from her eleventh birthday, her parents decide to surprise her with an early gift. They had entered her in the tournament for entrance into Dragon's Cry. They had kept her recent magic hidden from the public, and had planned to 'unveil' her to the world at the widely watched event, and what better way to further themselves than by having a daughter in the strongest guild.
Magic: Nixie knows three different types of magic, the first being a lost magic, the second a rare, but widely known, maker magic, the third, basic transformation magic.
Idol Magic(put into image text)
This lost magic isn’t one that would be found in books, however it can be granted and learned through the same method as second generation dragon slayers, via a rare type of lacrima crystal. Those who acquire this magic are able to use their magic to bring Idols, inanimate objects such as statues ranging from gargoyles to human warriors, to life.
“Come forth, my majestic friend!”
Tossing the stuffed unicorn that you mistook for a simple stuffed animal into the air, she infuses her magic with it, changing it from a fluffy stuffy, to a full sized, battle ready unicorn. This unicorn has Aero magic, allowing it to fly, and Nixie can easily use it as a mount in necessary scenarios. On top of that, for battle, it’s horn is sharp, and much like a spear, propelled by the power of a horse.
"We are two, separate. Yet we are one, together."
When were humans able to learn Aero magic? Surely that's not possible, only Exceeds and other animals can use that. Usually you'd be right, but using this spell she bonds with her idol, instead of giving it life, taking it's properties onto herself. The spell, while granting her aero magic, isn't actually that useful with her current idol, though should she ever gain more, could prove to be an invaluable asset. She can carry approximately one person while flying.
"Through your eyes, I see the world in a new light."
A spell that allows her to see through the eyes of her stuffed animal, regardless of distance. Often, she is found using this to find it when she loses it in the rare times she and it are separated. If she sneaks it into someones bag without them noticing, or someone takes it from her for some reason, she can also use this to spy, unfortunately, a stuffed unicorn sticks out like a sore thumb, so planting it herself never really works.
Light Maker Magic, Static
A maker magic that allows the user to create and shape objects from solid light. While maker mages have go-to items, they can technically craft anything they think of, from a key to a ship.
"Light Make, Orb!"
The user crafts a ball of solid light of varying sizes, that can be thrown or rolled at opponents. Smaller orbs have a flash effect, exploding in a radiant light on contact.
"Light Make, Stars!"
The user makes a varied amount of star-shaped objects around themselves, and moving their arms towards the opponent, send each one in that direction in a rapid-fire style. Think Swift from pokemon
"Light Make, Spear!"
The user crafts a spear, which can either be thrown, or used as a melee weapon...or used to light up a dark area, Nixie's not quite strong enough for throwing or thrusting, it's a mystery why her father insisted she learn how to make this.
"Light make, Hammer!"
While you were watching the unicorn charging at you from the front, Nixie managed to sneak around behind you, and is letting gravity do it's job with a large hammer more than twice her size. It's gonna hurt.
Items carried:
- Elegance -
The stuffed unicorn she is usually seen carrying around. She is very defensive about it, and get's very upset when people tell her 'elegance' is not actually a name.
- Glamour -
Also known to everyone else who knows her(or will get to know her), the spare Elegance. Her parent's taught her to always keep a second one nearby, in case something happened to the first. Despite the two unicorns looking identical in every way, she swears there is a difference, and will become upset if someone refers to Glamour as Elegance. Good luck. :p
Extra Information:
By now, you're probably thinking that her lost magic seems to lack the 'drawback' they are known for. I will iterate, that technically slayer magic is a lost magic with no such flaw, however I assure you everything with her magic and such isn't exactly normal, so without getting into much details(because plot stuff later), let's just say her Lost Magic drawback is she's cursed. And no, you can't have any more details than that. :p

Name: Shirley Dayflower Garnerville
Nickname: Kalyn - This is a nickname her mother gave her to signify she had greater things to accomplish in the world.
Birthdate: February 20th
Age: 14
Gender: Female
Guild: Dragon’s Cry - She joined the guild a year ago before her 13th birthday.
Rank: Standard Mage

Appearance:

Additionally, she wields a family possession on her waist, which is called the Sky Tears Sword. She was given this family heirloom sword, since it always has a strange weird air about it. It is like if it is watching what is going on, if it had feelings and it usually starts to rain whenever it is in use for some odd reason.

She wears a beautiful necklace around her neck, that is of the Garnerville family name. It holds significant value to her but otherwise it's priceless. It holds her birthstone, which is an amethyst to signify, which birth month she was born on. It is a beautiful gold, silver necklace with about six diamonds surrounding her birthstone.

She wears about a cute baby blue bracelet on her left wrist. It usually classifies herself as a finder of great and exciting adventures while searching for her lot in life. She can’t help but hope she finds the right path in her journey in joining a magic guild so she can make money.

She has a birthmark on her upper left shoulder blade. The shape of her birthmark is a flower. Because she got this birthmark, which is very rare in the Garnerville family. It skips about three generations before another one is born with this birthmark. She loves her birthmark with all her heart.

She wears cute glasses when she read books, mostly the insightful books anyway. The glasses are bluish green frames with normal glasses type frames, for her eyes. She carries two extra pairs of reading glasses just in case.

She carries around with her a pretty good sized purse for all her things, that her family’s money bought for her. It contrasts with her outfit pretty cutely, it is classified as a purse for an highly rich girl. It has pockets for almost anything she usually carries with her, including her two extra pairs of reading glasses and her wallet for money, it has a letter from her wonderful parents telling her to go out into the world and find a job as a wizard, and many other things.

She is about 5’4” feet tall and weighs about 125 pounds.

This guild mark is on her right leg and its color is green. It signifies she’s apart of the Dragon’s Fury Magic Guild. Her facial features when getting this guild mark was overjoyed, she was excited.

Voice:

Shirley’s voice is soft spoken and aesthetically pleasing to the ears. In terms, her voice is that of a rich person, who doesn’t seem to act like a proper rich person. Her tone of voice is that of a girl, feeling out her way in the world. She does this simply being herself and watching the world around her. Her emotional imbalance, has gotten her in trouble much with people she outright says sorry to if she yells at them or cries in front of them.

Personality:

Shirley has a very positive outlook on life, it's mostly because she was raised in a great home. She is apart of the social elite in Fiore. Most people mistake her for a snob because of her family’s wealth and fortune. She was taught Sword Magic by both of her parents and is confident in that magic. She tries to see the good in everyone, even people who have her family on a short list.

She’s a bit too sensitive to her surroundings, when it involves a dangerous situation and causes her to somewhat freeze up. It usually takes encouragement to make her snap out of the entire freeze up in fear. She tries not to be a burden on anyone since she tries really hard in everything she does. She’s quite judgmental about her quirky nature, she judges herself a bit too harshly and can’t understand mistakes happen all the time. It’s mostly because how she was raised by her parents.

She sees her parents as the greatest people in her lives and not many people can live up to her extremely wonky expectations. Even though, they have faults, like talking about their past in a guild that isn’t even the top guild in Fiore. Most of their references to that guild is how blunt her father is and how sarcastic her mother is, and still they are that way to this day. She can’t really see herself without her mother Catherine or her father Carl in any frame of mind.

Positive Traits:
Determination - She has a strong sense of determination, it’s quite funny coming from a girl who came from a family, who’s as rich as the Garnervilles. She constantly able to push herself to do almost anything that her parents tell her to do or anyone else.

Polite & Positive - Her elegance in how she speaks towards people in a polite and positive matter usually melts some people’s hearts, in how cute she is. She comes from one of the best business sense families in the world.

Business Minded - She’s more alike her mother than her father when it comes to the business side of things. In terms, she knows the logistical nightmare of trying to get any number of things since she was taught these things by her parents.

Outgoing - She’s quite outgoing, she loves camping and other more personal things that involve making friends. She outright enjoys making new friends since they are better than making enemies.

Negative Traits:
The Naivety - Her greatest negative is she’s highly naive compared to others. She trusts way to easily and always tried to look for the brighter side of someone’s personal scars or other things. She even believes people really easily too.

Taken Advantage Of - She gets ripped off a lot mostly because of the fact, everyone sees her as a rich snob and doesn’t look at the individual but her family name most of the time.

Emotional - She is quite emotional for a girl, her age. She has a certain imbalance in her mind that makes her cry uncontrollably sometimes and others be madder than a volcano other times. It’s pretty strange most of the time. Only one person knows what’s wrong with her and that’s her mother Catherine. How her parents raised her mostly made her this way, they used the softer approach.

Embarrassed - She gets embarrassed easily mostly because she trips over her two own feet. She can’t really help herself but blushing at that fact and tells everyone sorry for her own lack of balance.

Skills:

Clumsiness - She has no real sense of balance in her body. She constantly trips on her two own feet. She has never really known the number of how many times she has fallen on her face.

Singing - She likes to sing, she usually hums a tune really well. She only usually hums things she heard from her mother because she was a pretty good singer, herself. Or anything she hears really, that is catchy.

Spotter - She can spot really anything from a distance that catches her eye, mostly when it involves jewelry, or something her mother talks about much, a merchandise from the Recovered Waystation. She kinda enjoys the figures of her mother and father. This includes non-magical swords, but she usually doesn't buy them since they are outrageous.

Advice - She gives advice to anyone, even if they are complete strangers. This advice is mostly of her favorite foods to anything really, that they need help on. But it can't really be relationships because she's only fourteen years old. If it is business related, that's a bit easier for her to understand.

History:

Shirley was born to Carl & Catherine Garnerville on February 20th. When her parents were about 19 years of age. This was a great time for the addition to the wealthiest and richest family in the city of Grandius. She was a mightily big handful for her parents since they always wanted a daughter. The parents knew they had to get a bigger place so their kid enough room to grow, which is why they started on building a bigger place for them can live in.

Her development of walking and talking was pretty concise with the natural learning of these things. She was a bit more advanced than most children though, she was able to speak full sentences around a year old. She was able to walk around pretty easily, around the same time. Her parents love and handling of her helped her do pretty much anything, that she set her mind to.

When she hit three years old, she asked an important question, “Dad, mom, who’s the other person in the house?” She had a curious look and tone in her voice, she wasn’t really scared of the person.

Her mother gave her a response, “Easy dear, that’s our accountant Edward von Habsburg, he’s a great man even though he’s a bit eccentric.” Her mother picked up her daughter and walked her to the accountant, who was in the middle of his work.

Edward looked up towards Catherine and her three year old daughter with a generous smile. Edward questioned, “Ah, hello Catherine, is this your daughter, that Carl keeps on droning on about?” He was working on the finances for the Garnerville family, since that’s his job description and accountant.

Catherine smiled back to Edward and laughed at what he asked. Catherine answered, “Yes, Shirley is my daughter and Carl does that even with Magical Swords in terms of Droning on about it.” She looked over to her daughter Shirley to see what’s she is doing.

She was looking at Edward with a bright eyed grin on her face. Shirley responds, “What else do you do sir?” She wanted to know more about Edward but didn’t know exactly how to word it properly.

Edward looked directly at the three year old, girl in her mother’s arms and laughs a bit. Edward responds, “This is the only job I have right now since I enjoy your parents company, Shirley. Out of everything, I am having a better time staying at your family’s home then my family’s home since they are much more miserable.” He got up and waved to Shirley and Catherine. Edward comments, “I hope you have a good day you two.” He walked out of the room since he needs to do more things about the finances.

She waved happily towards Edward after he left. She yawned and was tired since she had fun today, just asking someone what they do. Her mother took her to her bedroom and tucked her daughter into the bed. She had a great night sleep and had no real problems with anything.

On her 5th birthday, there was a different matter entirely, the friends of the Garnerville Family was visiting to celebrate Shirley’s 5th year birthday. The friends are no other than the Warfield Family, though they were one short this year since the Eldest Son was busy with important work. Weiss gave Shirley her birthday gift from Brian, which was a note saying happy birthday and with 30,000 jewels.

The Redheaded Lightning Bolt talked highly of the Garnerville Family during their daughter’s birthday. Rachel was very nice to the birthday girl even though she didn’t really like her children that came with her to this birthday party. Rachel was really quite a bitch towards her children.

The tension in the room made Shirley uncomfortable since it was coming from the visiting family and not her parents. She was being comforted by her mother Catherine and Warfield Family’s oldest daughter Weiss. She enjoyed chatting with Weiss and had a show of magic happen in front of her by the Weiss and Winter duo, who used their Ice magic to dazzle the little girl. She had the greatest birthday right now and this helped her calm down.

She couldn’t figure out if this was her favorite day of her life but she always tried to see the best in people. Even though the tension in the room was a bit high with Rachel outright being hostile to her children. She couldn’t help but be happy about the entire ordeal, she had a naive happy smile on her face while she was cheering on Weiss and Winter to do an encore.

The rest of the day went uneventful after the birthday party was finished, the Warfields went back to their home, which was pretty far away. The negative opinion of Rachel didn’t help Catherine’s mood and was pretty much wanting to end the day but her daughter helped her keep a positive outlook. Catherine gave her daughter the most valuable gift, a necklace of the Garnerville family to wear and cherish.

On her 8th birthday, something amazing happened, the construction of her family’s estate was completed and it was now the new shining beacon of the Grandius, the City of Wealthy Elite. When she entered her room, it was twice as big as her original sized room. It was pretty amazing to see, the only thing that made her have a question mark, was there was a slide in her room now. She couldn’t help that her parents went a bit crazy alike. When she heard them talking about destroying a town in Fiore but it caused the scariest person to show up, the Stormlord. The Stormlord lives in Grandius by the name of Victor Starfield Mays.

She went outside of her room and walked to the massive front room and saw the Stormlord in their house, in his full magical council enforcer outfit. Talking to her parents and noticed Shirley in the room and waved her over. She walked up nervously to Victor who was giving very stern words to her parents.

He stopped talking to Carl and Catherine and looks directly at Shirley with a even more stern look on his face. “Hello, birthday girl, your parents talk about you all the time in meetings when I am only there via Thought Projection Magic. I hope you aren’t going to be alike your parents dear or I might have to do something that causes something terrible to happen to your parents. Where they are arrested for your crimes if I can get passed the fact your parents are loved by everyone in this town,” Victor said, with a stern but joking tone of voice when he exactly said arrested.

Shirley heard what he had said and was utterly scared by him. “Mommy & Daddy, Mr. Mays scares me,” Shirley said cutely and looking up to her parents.

Catherine smiles gently to her daughter and giggles a bit. “Victor you shouldn’t be so harsh to children. They can’t really tell if you are joking or not and that’s something my daughter can’t understand at this point, even though she’s only eight years old,” Catherine said with a look of annoyance at Victor’s constant too serious for his own good tone.

Carl sighs a bit and stares at Victor for a second but looks at his wife. “You should know that he is all business and has no talent for jokes. He trained his own daughter to kill her mother if she ever tries anything ever again. I am a bit worried about your daughter Julia after the fact she had to apologize for her mother’s existence and be reprimanded to literally keep an eye on her mother afterwards. The Royal Degrees are harsh but for someone to do that to their own child,” Carl said with a bit of annoyance.

Victor sighs and walks out of the house at least he got to say what he wanted to say to the Garnervilles and thought his job was done. He hates when he gets hounded by his methods of being a father.

Shirley felt like her birthday was a bit wasted by being sternly told to not do what her parents did when they were younger. “Mommy, did he only wanted to yell at us?” Shirley asked with a confused look on her face.

Catherine looked at her daughter and nodded since that’s all Victor does now a days anyways and constantly scolds people who aren’t his daughter and tells them how to raise their kids. She picks up her daughter and raises her up really high since she’s always happy to see Shirley’s smile. She walks her daughter into the game room, which has multiple different games across the wall.

Shirley eye’s opens wide and was amazed at how big this place was. It looked amazing comparable to something she saw in Sorcerer Weekly about a resort, that has these types of games. She couldn’t believe her parents went through all this trouble to make her this happy. She hugged her mother really tightly for the true birthday gift.

She was let down by her mother and she started to play around with the games she now has in her house. She was having fun since she needed it after Victor ruined her birthday somewhat. Her mother played with her daughter since she needed something fun to do since she had the same feeling as her young daughter that Victor ruined the birthday.

The rest of the day went without a hitch since the Stormlord is no longer in Grandius since he had an more important job. Keeping an eye on the reckless guilds out there that were following the rules and the ones that weren’t following the rules. She ate her dinner with her family on a circle round table similar to the tables in the 4 person homes it was definitely more personable and the Garnerville Family is a very personable family. For all their boutique tastes the only thing they can’t stand is a table that can fit about 400 people for breakfast, lunch and dinner when it is just a family of three or four.

On her 12th birthday she was given a task to figure out what guild she wanted to join on her 13th birthday. Her parents were trying to push her to join the Recovered Waystation Guild, even though it wasn’t the #1 guild in all of Fiore. She looked over her options and couldn’t really figure it out until Edward walked into the room. He had a chipper attitude from his normal demeanor because he brought Shirley a small note, he wrote before he got up this morning.

“Hello, Shirley dear, you are growing up so wonderfully, it seems like your parents are really pushing you into a Guild that has a reputation of destructive natures,” Edward said towards Shirley in a kind vocal cheeriness.

Shirley looked up at Edward and gave him a kind smile for his cheery attitude. “Yeah my dear wonderful parents are trying that so well. Even though I heard most of their adventures and I for one don’t want to get the wrath of the Stormlord,” Shirley said, happily and looking at her parents with that cuteness she always has when talking about them.

Catherine laughed when she heard Shirley say wonderful parents since they are always overly protective of their daughter. “Silly Kalyn so what are you going to choose, it is your choice and we will always love you for your choices,” Catherine said with a small smile.

Carl couldn’t help but laugh and be a bit looking down when he heard the ‘wrath of the Stormlord.’ They mostly did get into trouble with Victor Starfield Mays a lot during their wizard careers. “Yeah Kalyn I have to give you some credit. In not wanting wrath of the Stormlord since he can be terribly scary at times,” Carl said, with a bit of a nervous tone in his voice.

Shirley blushed a bit when she heard her nickname from her parents, she loved that endearing nickname they gave her. “I have chosen it’s going to be Dragon’s Cry. I heard they have a tournament to join their guild sometime next year, since I did miss this year’s joining tournament. They have a very easy going guild since I heard a rumor, that they don’t use guild ranks like other guilds use,” Shirley said, happily.

Edward, Carl and Catherine were all shocked that their daughter Shirley outright said the #1 strongest guild in Fiore. They were a bit shocked to hear, she heard a rumor they don’t use guild ranks Ala, S rank wizards and below. “What the…,” The three said in unison in utter shock. Edward saw Shirley’s parents still freaking out since they are apart of the 3rd Strongest Guild in Fiore. He calmed them down with a cough and looked directly at Shirley with a smile.

Catherine looked directly at her daughter and smiled slightly. “Who rumored that one of their guild members or whom?” Catherine asked her daughter a serious question. Carl was pretty much in agreement with his wife.

Shirley heard the question from her mother and father. “I heard it from the scariest person in the Magic Council The Stormlord himself. He saw me following him and told me, four little words, why are you here. I asked him about the strongest guild within Fiore. Let’s say he outright laughed at me and told me specifically that rumor to scare me off or something,” Shirley said, somewhat scared that the Stormlord talked to her like she’s his daughter and not Julia, who she heard of from her parents.

Carl looked directly at his daughter. “You talked to Victor Starfield Mays outside of our home, and curiously asked a question and he gave you the answer you were seeking, Jesus, looks like he needs to treat his daughter better,” Carl said with a bit of an annoyed tone in his voice. Even though he has much power within Grandius, he can’t really easily kick out a member of the Magical Council Enforcement Squad. He can now realize why the Stormlord joked about arresting him and his wife because they don’t see eye to eye.

Catherine looked to her daughter Shirley and hugged her gently. “If that’s your decision, I won’t stop you from choosing what you feel like,” Catherine said, happily. She remembered something and looked directly at her daughter. “Please take that creepy sword with you, at least. The Sky Tears Sword,” Catherine said with a bit of worry in her voice.

Shirley heard the name of the weapon and did notice a weapon as if it was starring back to her in her father’s weapon collection. “Mother, I will take it since how can I show off our fighting style without a sword specifically made for it?” Shirley asked her mother, with a curious tone in her voice. She read Edward’s note as if it was hinting at what she more or less picked for the guild, she wanted to join, which was Dragon’s Cry.

Before her 13th birthday, she made it to the signup tournament of Dragon’s Cry. In her family’s largest wooden ship and it traveled to the port town that Dragon’s Cry is next too. She saw many things while on her trek to the tournament she responded to the signup people with her full name Shirley Dayflower Garnerville. She knew what she wanted to do to join the strongest guild ever, which she’s from the richest family from Grandius.

She heard the rules of said tournament from the guildmaster or guild mates or even the person who she signed up to. She tried her hardest to stay in the fight for five minutes and stopped trying any further since 10,000 jewel prize wasn’t that much. She wanted to join this guild basically because of what Victor said as a backhand compliment to the guild, which was they are about friendship. She didn’t want to say that to her family since they would be shocked that Victor has a soft side for a guild that is the strongest.

She never really understood the Stormlord at all and this literally confuses her. The only other person in her home that knows this is specifically Edward the accountant. She wanted to be apart of a guild that has friendship as their goal instead of being powerful for power sake. Though Recovered Waystation felt that way too since she heard parents shenanigans within that guild. She wanted to make a name for herself that was unique compared to her parent’s fame.

Now on her 14th birthday, she’s been in Dragon’s Cry for about a year and wanting to do a job for the guild but hasn’t really figured out what to do. Since she has been scared by Victor’s Thought Projection talking about one of her guild mates to the guildmaster constantly. “Seriously Victor about you take care of your own daughter and stop doing this with everyone else that is a girl and is younger than you,” Shirley said with an annoyed tone but it was mixed with a bit of terrified tone.

Victor’s Thought Projection smiled towards Shirley and laughs at what she had said. “Soo, the little rich girl joined this guild that I gave a backhanded compliment too. I never thought that would have gave you the push to join this guild and not your parent’s guild the Recovered Waystation. And Julia is doing just fine, she’s dealing with her own thing. Which is about to do a grand expedition to an island of mystery and death. I think it's called the Deathly Way Island, unless I am dismembering it correctly,” Victor said, with the booming voice he always had and constantly underestimating everyone within this guild.

Shirley looked at Victor and was utterly shocked in how he said that like he still absolutely never cared about his daughter in the first place. “How cruel you are the Stormlord. I feel like, even with your wife’s horrible taboo mistake, your daughter shouldn’t be forced to do anything she doesn’t want to,” Shirley said, angrily. This is the first time she snapped at anyone including the Stormlord.

Victor looked at Shirley and then the thought projection vanished, like it wasn’t even there. She didn’t know what Victor was up too with all his assholish behavior to his wife his daughter and his destructive nature. She was completely mad at this entire thing and wanted to give Julia a warning specifically about this thing, where she was going. She didn’t know who would go with her to Julia’s Amazing Shop in Grandius to warn her. “I can’t let anyone within my hometown be wronged by their family no matter who it is,” Shirley said, with her being somewhat ticked.

Magic: Sword Magic

The uniqueness of the Garnerville Sword Magic is second to none in the magical world. They usually give people some pause when dealing with the Garnervilles. They deal with a single weapon, that is attuned to their will and spirit, which has been in the family for generations. However, they usually go to non-magical weapons to keep themselves from being creeped out by their magical weapon.

In this case, they mostly all their lives try to master a single magical weapon that is apart of the family. Which are called the Sky Duo Swords, separately they are called the Sky Tears Sword and Sky Upwind Sword respectively. These two weapons have a mind of their own. However, it's usually pretty unique to see someone only using one single weapon throughout their existence as a Sword Magic user.

The style is similar to a Persian style of sword dancing, it’s beautiful when used properly and deadly at the same time. She quite liked how her parents taught her this specific style of using Sword Magic.

Basic Spells:

The Garnerville Slash - This sword magic spell morphs the Sky Tears Sword into a pure longsword. It does a basic slash towards an opponent that’s in front of the wielder.

The Garnerville Stab - This sword magic spell morphs the Sky Tears Sword into a rapier. It does a basic stab towards an opponent that’s in front of the wielder.

The Garnerville Dancing Spin - This sword magic spell keeps the Sky Tears Sword in its basic form. This allows the sword to do sword dancing moves without being held by the wielder and it is pretty wild to see. It’s mostly a performance based technique.

Intermediate Spells:

The Garnerville Strife Slash - This sword magic spell is pretty interesting since this is the only time anyone can see the light bluish glow of the Sky Tears Sword, other than the user. It causes the Sky Tears sword to morph into a large ironblade sword that is incredibly light for the wielder. It usually makes someone highly depressed or happy by how the wielder is feeling at the time, it amplifies the wielders feelings into an attack. The strife part of the attack happens when you are slashed by it. It usually causes an untold amount of mental suffering or mental joy even though you got hit by the blade.

The Garnerville Rage Slash - This sword magic spell is pretty interesting since the aura that shows surrounding the Sky Tears Sword, is pure red, and it covers the wielders entire body in it. The Sky Tears Sword morphs into a chainsaw sword, that is used to painfully destroy the wielders target. It is used to release stress or her entirety rage on something that isn’t a person.

Advanced Spells:

The Garnerville Multiple Attacks - This is an highly unique sword magic spell, does something unthinkable for sword magic users. It multiples the Sky Tears Sword into multiple different sword forms, but its original form stays in the wielder’s hand. The auras are the wielder’s emotional state at the moment of the split of the Sky Tears Sword’s split into multiple forms and they definitely able to be seen. It gives everyone who sees this attack a fright since all the swords have different launch points towards a target. It was new for the wielder now to use it but its been in the Garnerville family for as long as this family existed and she’s terrified to use it.

Magical Items carried:

Sky Tears Sword - This specific weapon has a mind of its own and some highly knowledgeable wizards call this the Raining Sword by another name. However, the only reason why it specifically has a mind of its own, is when it telepathically speaks to the wielder, in how nice if it was raining instead of sunshine. This trick only affects the wielder only, since a black or grey rain cloud forms over the user and makes her or him feel like they have bad luck. However, it cannot shake the feeling that it found the perfect wielder in Shirley. The shape of the sword is similar to a curved longsword, similar to a Scimitar. It can change its original shape while under the effects of her sword magic.

The Sky Tears Sword has a secondary effect that no one really notices unless it’s being wielded specifically by a Garnerville family member. It glows a light bluish glow emanating from its handle and the glow covers the wielder’s hands. It gives anyone from that family goosebumps, because it feels like unknown entity is touching them.
