Being able to connect with Paige did give her a breath of fresh air while thinking about home once again. Not many people would know about the word Yardie unless you were Jamaican or you've lived around ones connected to it. When Paige showed the screen of her texting Ray Ray (Rudeboy), Xia smirked and nodded Yep that's pretty much what it means. She responded From the way you're describing him, he reminds me of my great uncle back on the islands. Xia took a moment of silence before speaking again. heh...you're getting me a little home sick. But it's all good though. I thank you for sharing that.

Xia looked back to Marlin before Paige slid her card to them to which Xia turned to look and take the card. Seeign she was excusing herself, Xia gave a warm smile. Alright, enjoy your pent up frustration shooting and your day. I'll hit you up sometime later. She said to her joking about the pent up frustration and turned back to Marlin.

Well I certainly don't want you tearing up that beautiful skin of yours. You don't have actually be in direct sunlight but it will be hot and you'll need just need to repellent.

Marlin seemed to know what worked for her when it came to recharging herself with fruits and smoothies and if she needed some help in finding other useful smoothies and such, she was willing to help her. Hearing her compliment about her black and white outfit, Xia was a little bashful about talking about her clothing. She usually had clothes that brought attention to her. Thank you. I sometimes like to dress to impress. Sometimes I get the wrong kind of attention but it's nice to know you remember that outfit. Might wear it again someday.

Seeing Marlin blushing a little from her comment, made her look adorable. if they were wanting to get what they want or to get attention from some men, they could probably flawlessly do that with their accents but Xia felt that Marlin had some bit of confidence in herself when not being negative about her existence. That's what Xia wanted to see more of. The girl who knows in the back of her mind that she's the baddest bitch in the room. Not that she'd cause trouble but to be the baddest bitch meaning she could probably make a man worship the ground she stand on. Xia was sure she could gain that sort of confidence but she needed to see this for herself.

It was after when Paige left that Xia gave it some thought. Well if you hang out with me sometime...your whole night will revolve around confidence building. Xia could see that that marlin was prossibly going to end the conversation but she looked a little awkward.

hearing her talk about what she was going to do and then cut right into saying she would see her later, Xia raised an eyebrow a little. Um...alright! Well hope you enjoy your walking and perhaps, we could explore the city a little more soon. I'll see you around and will definitely call you, babe. She said at the end before getting kissed on the cheek. She didn't expect that but since they had each other's contact info, Xia was going to check up on her soon.

Well from the kind of crazy and yet restful weekend to a busy Monday morning, this put a smile on Xia's face meeting yet two more new acquaintances that could potentially turn into a true friendship. She watched Marlin leave before turning to go to order herself a protein chocolate, peanut butter and banana smoothie to get some nutrients in her before calling her aunt back to see what she wanted. She knew that she was going to call her about her son Carlo and being the bastard that he is, he's trying to get the rest of the family to push her in letting him stay with her. Speaking to her aunt, hearing her heavy accent in Bajan Creole, Xia gave a sigh listening to her to let her son have access to her living space since they are family. It took about another 30 minutes and frustration for Xia to get off and reluctantly promise her aunt to let her cousin into her hoe to stay with him. But best believe, she was going to crack down on his ass with rules and regulations while living with her and if she get's one incident out of him, she'd kick his ass out and ship him right back to Florida.

Siobhan

Location: Corona Park

Interaction: Capella @Tenma Tendo; Ash @LostBrotherGrimm & Milo @RoccanIronclad

Siobhan didn't want to stick around. Bradley was stalking her now. That was too much like five years ago and it gave her the heeby geebies. She was quiet in the Uber after telling the driver where to go and letting Ash get in. She wanted to be around people she knew. No offense intended to present company. She'd normally love to get to know new people and they seemed like good people. But she was shaken up. She realized this after the Uber pulled up to the restaurant. As the driver said what the fair was she rounded it up for a tip and her third at least. Handing him the money she got out of the car. Helping Capella out of the car Siobhan smiles absentmindedly at Ash. “I'll have to rain check you gentlemen. Something came up. I'll leave you my card and we'll do lunch another time.” Siobhan handed out two business cards to Ash with her email address on them. The cards were black matte with silver embossed lettering with her name and email on one side and occupation and quote on the other. Siobhan Murphy Portrait, Digital and Sculpture Art. “No dream is small.”

“Make sure to take care of Capella. I don't know braille but I'm sure someone can let him know what's on the card.” She shook Ash’s hand and patted Capella on the shoulder. Waving she left them at the restaurant. Walking around the corner she called up Milo. Wanting someone to at least talk to that she knew. As the phone rang she leaned on the side of the building. When Milo answered she identified herself without preamble. “Hey Milo. It's Vaughn. Thought I saw you earlier at the park. Wanna have lunch? If you're busy I understand. I...don't think Paige is out of the gym yet. I don't know. I called you first.”

She winced. At the on edge tone in her voice plus she was rambling. She never did that. If it had been Paige on the other end the next words would have been “What's wrong?”. Hopefully Milo didn't pick up on that but he might. He was pretty insightful. Milo was good people and she knew him. Knew he was safe. She shook her head at the paranoid thoughts racing through her head a million miles an hour. Must be all those talk shows from Joel's garage rubbing off. Dear god he'd have picked up on it the second I started talking. Then I'd have to explain and freak him out, possibly. Or piss him off. I am so not doing that. Besides calling him would seem needy. I don't live in his pocket and don't want to, though the view would be nice. I need to deal with this on my own. I'm open to suggestions but it's my mess and I have to clean it up. I'll ask if I need help.

Leo listened intently to the words that left Marcus’ mouth, wanting to learn all he could about the prospective employee. What stood out to him wasn’t that he was from a small town or even that he was trying to make it as a musician, plenty of people were in Sol for that reason. It was the moment he spoke of his ex-girlfriend. He was clearly trying to put on a brave face but his eyes gave away the pain that lingered within. When Marcus finished his final sentence Leo was polishing off the remainder of his drink. It hadn’t taken him long to finish it but beer and lager rarely lasted long in front of him.

“I’ll be honest with you, this city has plenty of people coming here to try and make it as the next big thing. Very rarely does anyone make it to the top.” Leo placed his glass to the side and continued on. “That isn’t to say that you shouldn’t at least try. You may not make the millions of a famous pop star but you can earn yourself a fair bit just by doing gigs. Decent generic pub bands can get up to two, maybe three hundred for a gig. So don’t give up, just maybe think of a different avenue. Hell, if you’re looking for a band maybe we could start one?!” Leo laughed but was entirely sincere with his suggestion.

As the laughter faded Leo took a slightly more serious tone. “So Marcus…if you don’t mind me asking…what happened with your girlfriend? I understand if you don’t want to talk about it, I mean this is an interview after all. I just like my employees to know that if they are dealing with anything, that they can come to me. I hope you understand what I’m saying. ”

Leo’s phone vibrated on the table next to his elbow, showing Dustynn’s response. A smile crept across his face before he cast his glance back to Marcus. “Look lad, I’m just going to get right to the point. I want to give you a chance because you seem like a genuine person. I’d much rather give someone inexperienced, but who is a good person, a job over some pretentious prick who has worked bars all their life. So if you want a job, all you have to do is say yes. If you accept then we can head out to a nearby place for food to celebrate if you like? On me of course.”

While waiting for the response from Marcus, Leo began to respond to Dustynns message.

Well the more the merrier lol.

I have no idea when we’ll be able to do it, have you seen the forecast? I’m so excited for snow lol. I want to take you to Mount Atlas, the observatory would be a great place to see the night sky. Besides, there are plenty of scenic views with it being a national park. Have you ever been there? x

When Alex's arm wrapped around Karishma, Gabe's jaw tightened, but he didn't say anything. He knew what the boy was doing, and he was grateful he didn't have to be the one to do it. Karishma usually delt with people like the waiter long enough to just ignore it or play around with the people who treated her like that to get some laughs out of Gabe. This time, however, it seemed like Karishma's new friend had it under control, although Gabe felt a tiny bit sorry for what came next.

As they finished ordering their drinks and food, the waiter left, glaring at Alex as he turned on his heels and left. Karishma only giggled and leaned against Alex, pressing her chest against his. "I didn't know I was your love." She winked at him nestled herself comfortably next to him. "Thank you for that, love, but I can handle men like that. They are very simple-minded, and they only want one thing from me. I always like to play around with them and make them think they have a chance with me." She giggled again. "Some even ignore the fact I have a very buff and attractive man right next to me." She shot Gabe a grin and he rolled his eyes.

She was grateful that Alex had step up dealt with the annoying waiter. While Karishma was used to it and she got a laugh out of messing with those type of men she was starting to grow tired of it. Gabe knew this, and he tried to do his best to help her, but there was little he could do sometimes. Alex had been a nice chance of pace to her ruitine. "Thank you." She said in a genuine tone as she leaned in and kissed his cheek. Karishma didn't care if it was too forward, she didn't know nor did she care that she was invading his personal space. He didn't seem to mind, and she had always been someone who was big on physical contact with anyone she liked. So a kiss on the cheek wasn't a big deal for her, and didn't know if it was for Alex.

"Your drinks." The waiter came back just as Karishma pulled back from the kiss. The man had a forced smile on his lips as he set down the coffee down on the table. He put down a small container with milk on it and left their table without another word.

"We should do this more often." Karishma pulled back and did a little dance with her hips as she poured lots of sugar into her cup of coffee. She had always had a sweet tooth, and every drink she drank had to be sweet. Even alcoholic drinks had to be sweet, or Karishma would not drink them. "I can go over and see your picture, maybe after we can go out and you can teach me how to take pictures." She smiled at Alex, hoping he would say yes. He had already invited her over to his home, which Karishma found surprising but welcome, but she wanted to go out more with him. He seemed like an interesting and cool guy. She wanted to know more about him.

Aoki looked up, her eyes wide and her face red. "Oh." She said just above a whisper as she watched the man looking straight at her. He had noticed! Of course, he had, Aoki hadn't been very distracted and she had been carried away by concentrating too much on her sketch. She covered half of her face with her sketchbook as she nodded and watched him reel in a fish. She could take this opportunity to pick up her things and run away, but Aoki's feet were frozen in place from the embarrassment she felt. It took her a few moments to finally lower her sketchbook and speak to him.

"I-I'm sorry," She tucked in a few strands of hair behind her hot and read ear. "I just... the view was nice you just happened to be there." That was partly true, but he didn't need to know that. Aoki had seen him as she approached the port and he looked interesting. There had been minimal opportunities to sketch someone that had similar features as him, so she had taken this chance to do so. "I'm so sorry if I made you uncomfortable." She had noticed the way he had reached for something in his coat, making her believe he was prepared for confrontation.

Aoki cleared her throat and finally pushed herself up and approached the man. "You can have it." She started as she began to tear the sketch from the book. She had told herself she would give her sketches to those who noticed her, so this wouldn't be any different. "Just don't throw it away, please, I am very proud of this one." She had paid special detail to his figure in the sketch; she had even done his hair flowing in the cool wind. "And I did get a good angle, so you don't have to worry about that." She smiled a bit. While she was still embarrassed, she was trying her best not to be awkward about the whole thing.

Alex smirked at the waiter as he left and Karishma leaned into him. He blushed as she called him out on the pet name, but simply shrugged. He looked up at Gabe to judge his reaction and gave a small smile hoping the guard wasn't upset. His jaw was set firm, but he didn't look displeased. "I wouldn't call myself buff, but thanks," he smiled, not sure where this boldness was coming from. He wasn't going to complain though. He flushed when she pressed her lips to his cheek, not expecting it in the slightest. The waiter came back with a forced smile and Alex just grinned at him as he thumbed circles into Karishma's hip. As the man walked away Alex removed his hand to pour some milk and sugar into his coffee, while he wasn't the biggest fan of unflavored coffee, he had wanted to piss the waiter off and get what Karishma had recommended him.

She started doing a little dance in her seat and Alex smiled fondly at her, it was adorable. He watched a little wide eyed as she dumped sugar packet after sugar packet into her coffee,"Want some coffee with your sugar there?" After stirring his coffee though he used his right hand to sip at it and snaked his left hand back around her waist, subconsciously thumbing soothing circles on her hip again. "Sound good to me, I work the rest of this week until one, so anytime after that is okay with me. Let me get your number," he said pulling his phone out of his pocket with the hand not currently wrapped around her waist. "So, if you don't mind my asking, why are you with her all the time? She secretly famous? Or not so secretly and I'm just an oblivious fool?" he asked while looking at the burly man in front of him. He thought it rude to ignore the man at the table with them, he wanted to be polite.

Milo Ventri

Milo chuckled as the girl walked over seemingly embarrassed, it was pleasant to see someone who just wanted to express a love of art more so than beat the corporate cow for all that it is worth. As she approached he got a better look at her as he recast his line, after all, he was fishing for dinner, she honestly reminded him of Vika, though a bit more fit, he wondered to himself what Vika was up to lately they hadn't really spoke since they parted ways, hopefully she wasn't too sore about it all.

"Don't you worry none, I'm a hair jumpy these days." Milo said as he watched the girl tear out the page in her sketchbook.

The sketch was quite well done, she clearly had some talent, though he wondered if he really had looked so sad as she seemed to have him drawn, it wasn't the way he wanted to be, he wanted to relax and let away all of that sadness and the anger that he had been getting into. When she told him to keep the picture he immediately handed the sketch back to the girl and shook his head.

"Mmmm, nope, sorry, if you are proud of this then the best place for it to be is with you, if I took it inside the poor thing would be in flames before the days end." and he pointed up to the shop that was up on the street behind him. "Though I am glad you got my good side." he said with a smile.

Just as he handed the picture back to the girl, he felt a buzzing in his pocket, it was his cell phone, he pulled it out and answered.

"Hello, Mil...." He barely got the semblance of his name out before the word soup began to pour from the other end of the line. Siobhan was the culprit this time, but at least it was a friendly call just someone one wanting to hang out, at this point he wouldn't mind a bit of company. "Hey Sio, yeah I was out at the park, Paige and I are going to hit the range later this afternoon but I was about to make some food if you want to come by the shop." Milo finished the conversation and hung up. He looked to the girl that had been drawing him.

"My names Milo, Milo Ventri, I run the Final Round Armory up there, A friend of mine is swinging by for lunch if you want to come in as well, I usually make far too much anyway." and he grabbed the bucket that had several fish in it and smiled.

Marcus Ainsworth

Marcus sipped at his beer, about half-way done when Leo had finished his. He certainly drank fast. He listened closely as Leo talked, nodding a few times. He’d heard most of what he said about the music scene, but it had more wait coming from Leo. He seemed to know what he was talking about, and he had Marcus’ respect for making something of himself, just like he was trying to do, so the words stuck with him more. He couldn’t help but grin as Leo suggested they start a band together, chuckling softly. “I would love that. I’ve seen you play a couple of times, and you’re really good. I’d be worried I wouldn’t be able to keep up with you, though.”

The conversation then took an unexpected, darker turn. Leo asked about what happened with his girlfriend. He definitely didn’t expect that kind of question at a job interview, but he respected the reasoning behind it. It was definitely obvious on Marcus’ face that it was still very much an open wound. “Um… Well, to make a long story short… She left, because she couldn’t handle anymore. I’m not easy to live with, and I wasn’t pulling my weight.” He shrugged his shoulders, looking down at his now empty pint, obviously trying hard to stop himself from crying. “But, I’m trying to change that. Trying to change my life around, I guess.”

Marcus looked back up at Leo and started to smile in disbelief, bringing him back from the hold of sadness that was gripping him as Leo started his next sentence. He got the job! He could barely believe it. His first Job interview in god knows how long, and he got it! “Oh… Uh, oh my god, really?” He chuckled softly, smiling more than he had in a very long time. “That, uh, that means so much to me! Thank you, I won’t let you down, I promise!” Marcus was ecstatic now, and it was obvious.

Dusty's Trailer. On phone and then in person with Joel @Pilatus. Texting with Leo @CaptainSully.
Joel confirmed on the phone that he was only a few minutes away at the local YMCA. A place Dusty knew all too well, everyone dropped their kids off over there during the summer when they didn't want them home during their vacation from school. At least that is what she had grown up with. After the two ended their phone call Dustynn changed into more appropriate clothes; a new pair of underwear and a bra to start off with, a pair of black jeans and a heavy black pullover sweater to match. She was prepared to mourn the loss of her Ford Focus today, expecting the worse but hoping for the best. Dusty proceeded to dig through pockets and her mother's purse alike looking for bills, ranging from ones to fives and the stray twenty dollar bill. They didn't have a lot of money, most of it earned was spent right afterwards. She scrounged up one hundred dollars in cash, hoping that it would suffice for now and a hearty IOU until she could come up with the rest. She didn't know how much the repairs would be, but she knew it wouldn't be cheap.

She quickly responded to Leo while she had a minute:

My nipples could cut glass right now. LOL It's cold af in my house, outside too. Never been there, only heard about it from when I was in school. Haven't left the city for a long time.. some fresh air would do me some good I bet.. :)

Someone pulling up to her home caused Dustynn to hurriedly send the text and go outside. The bills became folded in half in her hand and then placed into her back pocket. Hopping down the haphazardly attached metal steps Dustynn approached the side of her car with a friendly smile, meeting eyes with who she assumed was Joel coming up the walkway "Thank you so much Joel! I really appreciate how fast you got over here." she gushed, walking over to her car and opening the door. She pulled on lever to pop the hood. "It sticks sometimes, so just give it a minute.." she stated slightly embarrassed as the hood popped with an overly loud sound.

"I can teach you some cool words if you want Ash! In exchange of something else of course." It must be sad being the only one in the group to not know another language. Not that he would know of course. At the mention of a 'toasty demon', Capella gave the older man a sour look. Since he could see a few murky figures around him, the blonde swung around his walking stick in attempts to bop the man on the side. He could swear, this guy just had all the jokes did he...at least he was reliable when he needed it.

And although it took a while, the guitar ended up in his hands.
"Honestly...that would have been really cool to see!" This time he actually laughed, bouncing on his toes in the process before getting helped into the Uber; it seemed to be a habit he did whenever he was really happy or surprised.

Once he got his bearings together in the car, Capella tilted his head in recognition to Ash's voice.
"My mom talked about the place once before. Apparently it was built in 1897. Super old place." He commented as the car began its drive to the restaurant in question.

---

As the Uber pulled op to what he assumed was there destination, Capella noted how quiet their lady friend was being. Maybe something happened? Or they weren't feeling very well? The blonde wasn't sure if he should question it or not, so he instead focused on Toasty, who didn't seem to be very excited about being crammed in a car with a few strangers. Luckily the drive wasn't very far, as he was soon was being helped out the car by Siobhan, mumbling a quiet thanks in the process.

Hearing the older woman claim she had to take her leave, Capella nodded slowly as it confirmed his suspicions. With his hands particularly full, the boy hooked his guitar over his body and wrapped his end of Toasty's leash around his wrist before tilting his head curiously when she said she'd give her card to them. At the mention of taking care of him, Capella couldn't help but let out a scoff.
"Him? Take care of me? Sure..." He trailed off, his voice condescending but playful. As he received a pat on the shoulder, the blonde boy smiling before giving a small wave.
"I-It was nice meeting you!" Capella grinned as Toasty barked in confirmation before his attention was eventually brought to Ash. "What does the card say? What does the card say?" He questioned in anticipation, leaning forward in the process.

Joel Nicolosi

Joel knew better than to expect much from disembodied voices on the phone or radio no matter how attractive they sounded. For all he knew Dustynn was 5’2” and pushing 350 so when she came out it was a pleasant surprise. “What’s up?” He said returning her greeting with a light nod and then watching her fumble around with the hood release. At least she knew where it was, which was another plus. She seemed rather excited about his arrival, but also didn’t appear to recognize him at all from his win in the race a few weeks ago, another plus, three for three, off to a good start. He thought, but didn’t say much as the notion to talk some trash crossed his mind. He liked her black hair though knowing when not to run his mouth was a discipline on which he prided himself. Talking smack and then not being able to deliver was a cardinal sin for technicians and he didn’t want to tarnish his stellar street cred on a busted old Focus in a trailer park.

He felt around briefly for the latch release and raised the hood up surveying about what he expected: The drab brown of years of road dust over everything, the smell of burnt antifreeze where it had been boiling with the defroster and the oily aroma of the valve-cover gasket leaking. He glanced at the battery unsurprised. It looked like a chia-pet with all the corrosion that had grown over the terminals and some nitwit had hardwired the aftermarket radio directly to the post. Stepping back around to the driver’s seat he took the keys from Dustynn meeting her eyes again and catching a whiff of cigarettes on her clothes. A sense that was confirmed when he sat down in her car. Can’t win’em all. He shook his head a little and smirked. The car was about as bone-stock, basic as it could be offered with roll-up windows, no cruise control and a five-speed transmission. He rocked the shifter a little to make sure it was out of gear and tried the key to see if anything happened, but the gauge cluster didn’t even flinch.

“Battery’s dead.” He said walking back over to the Jeep and swinging open the tailgate. He returned with a small waterproof bag that jingled lightly from the tools inside and laid it over the Ford’s dirty engine before climbing back up his bumper to raise the hood on the Jeep as well. One more trip and he came back with the bottle of Coke. “I usually don’t recommend doing this,” He said twisting off the top and taking a short swig, “But it works in a pinch.” He dumped some over the corroded terminals and watched the acid in the cola eat away the blue-white fungus that had grown all over the top of the battery. Once it was gone he wiped the residue clean with a rag and disconnected the leads finding the date code for battery itself. It was only a couple years old and as long as they weren’t killing it regularly, would still hold a charge. “I bet your radio doesn’t work half the time.” He said as he cleaned the posts with a small wire brush and checked the positive and negative cables for damage. He held up the silly fuse someone wired-in from the stereo for her to see.

Once he was satisfied, Joel reconnected the the leads and went back to the Jeep for his jumper cables. Climbing up the big tire, he attached the cables to his own battery and then the others to hers wiping his hands casually as he hopped back up to the Jeep’s driver’s seat and started up the old Chrysler 4-liter engine giving it a couple revs for good measure before jumping back down leaving it idling. “Just give it a few minutes.” He said glancing at her and then back at her pitiful engine bay mentally noting everything else that was wrong with the car purely out of habit. He crossed his arms as they waited. “So who killed the battery?” He said somewhat teasingly with a fake air of accusation in his glance.

Karishma looked up from her coffee to Alex and stuck her tongue out at him. "I deserve it after running six miles," She sipped her coffee after she had finished dumping five sugar packets into the dark liquid. She didn't mind Alex's arm around her, it offered warm against her thin sportswear-- and it felt nice. "I work most of the day," She nibbled on her bottom lip as she tried to work out her schedule for the next of the week. She had to go to the studio and record her album, but she still ended her single first. This week was going to be busy since she had finished writing the song and just needed to show up for the recording and work with the band. "Maybe around six?" She would get out of work at four, but she wanted to wash up before going over to Alex's place. While she often didn't care if people saw her in sweats and a t-shirt, their little meet up was starting to sound more and more like a date.

"Here," Karishma said with a smile as she took Alex's phone and typed down her phone number. She named herself "Kari" followed by two emoji hearts and a kissy face. While she did that, Gabe, on the other side of her looked over at Alex.

"I see why she liked you so quickly." The man said and groaned when Karishma lightly punched his arm. "You shouldn't be asking me; you should be asking her." He smiled when Karishma rolled her eyes and handed the phone back to Alex. "I'm just her bodyguard and friend."

"I'm not famous. Here anyway. I'm infamous in India. Would I be considered infamous?" She tapped her index finger on her chin as she thought about the whole thing. Telling Alex about her career in India was not something she wanted to do so quickly. Those people who knew often felt bad for her or began to treat her differently after finding out. They would also find out about all the shit that went down and all the rumors and backlash she had faced a few months ago. She didn't want people asking her questions or begging for the truth. Looking her up wasn't as simple anyway, she hadn't used her real name while working in Bollywood. Her agent had done an excellent job and keeping it a secret.

"I'll tell you later, I promise." Karishma finally said, looking at Alex. "I'll have to take you out on a date first." She smiled, bringing back the light and playful atmosphere. She didn't want to linger too much on the whole famous thing. "Since you'll be having me over, why don't I have you over too?" It had been a while since she had cooked something and she was craving some homemade food for a while.

"Oh." Aoki took the drawing back and quickly put it back in her sketchbook just as a gust of wind hit them. She shut eyes quickly and waited until it was over to look at him again. She was glad that she would be able to keep the sketch since she had been planning on painting on a large canvas if she ever had the free time. "Oh, you run the Final Round Armory? I guess it is good I'm keeping it then, wouldn't want it to get burned." She offered up a friendly smile.

"My name is Aoki Sandtröm; I'm an art conservator at Sol Museum." She offered the man a handshake after putting her sketchbook in her bag. "I'm really sorry if I made you uncomfortable, I tried to be discreet, but it looks like I failed." She was just glad that he didn't seem to mind too since he was inviting her over for lunch.

"Ah, really?" Aoki smiled as she fumbled with her scarf. She was hungry, and she didn't feel like cooking anything today. "Fish does sound good right now." She agreed and gave him a small nod. "I wouldn't want you to waste any good food either, and I'm willing to help with whatever." While Aoki wasn't the greatest cook, she could make passable cook with just enough seasoning. Cooking wasn't her stronghold, something she hadn't been able to learn from both of her parents since they were both great cooks. It seemed like fate had decided she knew how to play enough instruments and decided not to give her the talent of cooking.

Romus Sisters

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"
&
Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

mixed locations . Monday Lunch . Victoria at Home . Marinalia out and about

Marinalia smiled slightly as she left but also was a alittle flushed and Suprised at the whole implications of her confidence building. That certainly was rather forward, perhaps, see how swimming felt before she would ever even think anywhere near that kind of thing. It was true her confidence had taken a few hard knocks while living in Sol city, been assaulted and nearly drugged, spectacrly sank a relationship. Well it was not bring but boring might be a nicer idea, just a normal dance or somthing?

Walking round the mall she picked up some more make up Victoria wanted and a bunch of other small stuff that was far easier to pick up from a larger Mall like the chemist, shops, a few small bits for the house and some food. It was possible to get everything in other places but this was plain easier and quicker. Her legs defenitely did not want a few more miles looking around the city to pick things up at the boutiques and other smaller chemist's etc.

Texting her sister quickly, they already had the bits they needed for tea tonight and a bunch of other stuff now, some wine for tonight and abit for cooking up with. It was a work night so no drinking for Marlin but she could still cook with it and make a amazing pasta sauce.

Xia... What could she say. Hi... Least open things maybe. She seemed rather intresting.

Hey Xia.

Its Marlin Olympus, im working early week but should be free Thursday, if your not scared to lose ;) I've got a day off as I've got a night flight lesson coming up.

Ps. Big delay between 9th and 12th. If your driving its gridlock. Probbly few hours. Diversion via the North bound inner ring road.

Marlin x

Sending off her text and saving the number she headed out of the Mall and reached her land rover Discovery quickly dropping her shopping off easily thanks to the handy split tailgate that other brands lacks. One of reasons she loved land rover. A range rover might be nice one day but the 4x4 modes where meant to be abit weaker and a high end discovery overlapped alot.

On her way home she saw signs for Atlas Park on a billboard and directions, that could be no ce for a walk, have to Google it. Deciding to redirect home, maybe a walk out there another day once she knew more about it and so, plus her legs where definitely needing a sit down, fot as she was intense swimming did take a alittle out of you. The route back would be easy. The city drivers where assholes.

Victoria sat back in the living room and leant back on a modern sofa with a mug of coffee and a soft blanket to keep warm from the cool weather. She knew how to keep warm though and had a rather strong dislike to being cold when you where so small and lightly built.

Typing away she managed to contact Cardinal and discuss there latest developments and thoughts, there definitely was somthong strange going on in this city. Somthing strange, somthing did not add up and somthing was not right. Talk soon turned to every day life and more, they had a high degree of trust and well, former lovers knew alot about each other, and how to hurt each other. Trust and peace was better. They never where quite serious, somehow the two did not quite play against each other right.

A incoming phone call, semi secured line and so... General Arkady was diffrent, a rather intresting call for sure... A rather profitable one too for a small amount of work. Now that definitely tempted Victoria, Helping her dad, a family friend and making money to boot. With a alittle work, the shipment could be headed to Russia rather quickly and quietly. The stuff was legal, not restricted heavily just a alittle sensetive to the public eye, definitely somthing to handle with descrestion. Russia was not exactly popular right now so acquisitions of any kind could be a alittle more difficult and reauire a more careful hand. If anything being stuck in hospital for half a year taught, it was patience. First things first was a to makesure she had all the details right before proceeding.

Money was nice, plus she kinda had fell into her dad's side of things a little. If everyone treated you like the bad guy, you might as well live up to it and be Morgan le fey and be fancy doing it. She always drew to the darker sides.

Checking her phone. Well Ethen was busy and had to run off, Don, t wait too long though... She rather was intrested in finding a alittle more. Maybe swing by the university tommrow after work and see what ideas where coming out the university. Students definitely brought alot of new perspectives, and she could return favor in advice and experience. Even if barely older. She had been rather busy.

Life never was boring for a Romus.

Alexander James Wood

"Six miles? Jesus, I don't think I could do that and still live," Alex said with a laugh. He sipped his coffee as Karishma chewed on her lip and felt the corner of his mouth tug up. "Six works for me, we can work on some nightfall photos if you're okay with that."

He watched the two banter a bit about her career in India and felt a bit lost at Gabe's comment. 'He could tell why she liked me so quickly? What's that supposed to mean?' he thought, but didn't want to bring it up. He didn't want to see stupid in front of the other two, instead he just smiled and nodded his head. He was about to answer her question when his phone started to vibrate on the table. With a sheepish smile he held up one finger before picking up his phone. "What's up, Ann?

"I know it's your day off, but I really need you in as soon as you can get back here. Kelly's gone home sick and I can't get this case filled along with the orders. I'm really sorry, love."

Alex sighed and looked over at the other two, lips pressed tight. "You're lucky I love you, you leprechaun."

"Thank you, thank you, thank you! I'll see you in a bit!"

"That was my boss, I've got to go in, the other decorator is sick and Ann can't run the place by herself. She wants me to come in, but it can wait until after we eat," he decided that she could wait. It's not like he had plans that night and it only needed filled for the next morning. After close was always his favorite time to work anyway, less people. Just then the waiter walked up and while it seemed impossible he shuffled closer to Kari and looked at him with a smug smile, "I'll have the Nutella crepes." He maintained eye contact with the waiter as the other two gave their orders until he walked away.

A little small talk later he brought out their food and Alex left his arm around Kari as he used on hand to eat, he could see the waiter looking at them from the back. He lifted his fork to her mouth and offered her a bite. After the meal was all said and done he handed the man his card before either of the two could argue. After the waiter returned with his receipt and card he made sure to still leave the man a tip. He knew that it's what they lived off of and he couldn't bring himself not to leave anything and 15% seemed like enough to him, little less than average, but still something. Standing up he held out his hand to help Karishma out of her seat before linking their arms together like they were on the walk there as they returned to the car. "I'll just bike back to work and text you later?"

Thursday Thorsday

Thursday All Day . Team event . Please be clear in post / Header what your time and location is . Severe snow and cold below zero conditions . MAJOR snow storm hitting city . Look out for GM updates regarding the condtions

"Do you want to build a snow man?" Frozen, 2013

Snow . yes its snowing . social media away!

BLIZZARD TIME! The one you been waiting for :)

Ok, so this skip may run a bit differently and we have sorted you into teams of a kind, what you do is up to you, they may be characters you know, strangers or even a rival. All this was randomly allocated by a computer program, and as said before funniest team name means a bonus in IC coming your way.

Look out for GM notices on changes, you may lose heat, power or many other things could go out, its gonna be fun though so enjoy the random roller coaster ride that's coming. Make the most of what comes your way, there's always lemonade to be made. Cell service may come or go and everything can change in the blink of a eye.

Roads are inaccessible to all but larger 4X4 and trucks etc. This means a dedicated off road option aka a Jeep etc. Cars are snowed in even if you got 4X4 modes. If you want to get about, its time to get creative, walk or find someone who has something that can.

Milo and Joel will be mobile, so maybe if you have the right contacts or know someone who has, you might be able to get some wheels to help you.

Public transport will also be effected, this is a major storm so the city will be hit pretty hard, so snuggle up, find somewhere warm and maybe make some snow angels and have a hot chocolate after! Flights, Airports and seaplanes are heavily effected. Rivers are icey but not frozen over however.

As always, any questions you are welcome to ask, be it Discord, PM or OOC. Look out for GM tags and be clear what time zone, and location you are in your posts, we don't want a paradox summoning a Trex or a band of knights trying to slay it.

"May the odds ever be in your favor"

WINTER STORM WARNING IN EFFECT

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for Sol City and the surrounding counties in effect for next 48 hours. Residents are warned to take shelter and stay off roadways as a layer of ice and snow rapidly descends on the area. Accumulated snow totals are expected to be measured in feet and along with several inches of ice as a rapidly moving front moves across Sol from the Pacific. Expect to find snow on the ground Thursday morning with conditions worsening as the storm moves in and buffets against the eastern mountains around noon.

Sol Power and Electric expect outages to occur throughout the storm and crews will be working around the clock alongside Public Works who will be moving snow and treating the roads throughout the night. SPE has published a list of emergency contact numbers and preparation instructions that can be found on their website.

SCPD advises residents to act responsibly during the course of the storm and to save 911 calls for life-threatening emergencies only as resources will be stretched to maximum capacity during the course of the storm. FRONTPAGE CONT'D

Metal Night Brawlers Facing Prosecution

Having completed their three-day preliminary investigation into the events that occured at Club Aether last Friday night, the District Attorney’s office released a scathing press release Wednesday outlining their plans to bring charges against instigators and club security alike. “The Office of the District Attorney will pursue charges against those that showed blatant disregard for the safety and security of Sol’s club-goers and prosecute them to the full extent of the law.” The press release read. “Events like these, in supposedly safe areas within our city, only promote an air of degeneracy and unwelcomeness to newcomers and lifelong citizens of Sol and will not be tolerated.”

The District Attorney’s Office declined any further comment on the press release though sources within SCPD have reported that arrest warrants have been issued and SCPD will be out in force to serve the DA’s orders to any who do not willingly turn themselves in. When asked about the Mayor’s stance on aggressive private security within the City, Star Messenger’s sources reported that the Mayor was “deeply concerned” and would be “working closely” with DA to bring to light any and all past transgressions that could be used against the perpetrators and those that willfully followed without reporting the incidents to the authorities.

Rhino Calf Name chosen!. Gender confirmed!

Pokey the Rhino who gave birth to a rare calf in captivity at the city zoo recently has finaly named by public lottery and chosen from thousands of names submitted. The winners prize includes a private tour of the zoo including the opertunity to feed and interact some of the animals normaly off limits with a guest or guests.

Experts unwilling to disturb the bond between mother and Calf at such a tender time have now also confirmed the calf is male after extensive observations. This will be a strong boost the North American program to preserve this amazing animal from poachers and extinction.

The spokesperson announced the name last night at a press conference. "So, while we had a amazing range of names, the one that won was Horny the Rhino, and in surprise news, the Calf has been now confirmed to be male.... We have contacted the winner. And hope they enjoy the unique experience to get close to some of the most amazing and unique animals on the planet"

In a closing statement, the zoo director was recorded as saying. "We are humbled by the level of interest. We have had thousands upon thousands of names and though there can be only one winner, the interest in the plight of an endangered and precious animal is heart warming and greatly valued"

Truly an event to warm even the coldest of Northern winters.

Santos Holdings eyeing properties on The Run

In light of their recent and aggressive acquisitions in Sol City, a spokesperson for Elvin Santos Holdings, Inc. confirmed today that they will soon be closing deals on multiple properties within The Run and Light Lane with plans to continue further investments in Sol City. “Light Lane and the Run constitute an exciting part of Sol’s nightlife and have for many years…” The spokesperson said. “We believe with our experience and extensive knowledge of managing successful properties in Sol that we can take the area to new a level of appeal to Sol’s newcomers.”

When asked about the recent events at Club Aether the spokesperson declined to mention specifics and told Star Messenger that it was an unfortunate circumstance, but one that would not hinder their efforts in acquiring other businesses and properties in the area. “The Run has had an impressive record of safety and order for many years and we want to build upon that while also being welcoming and naturally being more profitable.” The spokesperson continued. “In the end our goal would be for the Run and Light Lane to be as appealing to tourists as an Angels game or the Grand Prix and not just a secret kept hidden underground.”

Managed by Sol City native, President and CEO, Elvin C. Santos, ESH, Inc. is one of Sol’s most dominant commercial property management companies, located in the downtown MODUS Tower, Santos began his property management career around Central Point and Southside making his biggest successes with industrial investments centered around the construction of the Matthews Bridge.

Romus Sisters

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"
&
Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

mixed locations . Thursday . Ending at the Luna sports centre . Victoria at Home late morning . Marinalia out with Xia late morning.

Marinalia was sat by the fire as the weather was definitely turning Colder dangling her feet from under the blanket, warm was definitely better and the fireplace was paying dividends as the heat from the fire warmed the house slowly a alittle more. The thick walls where old fashioned insulation and designed to withstand the harsh conditions of thr northern winters for over a century the house had stood. Victoria was sat playing with her laptop and typing away on a project she was a alittle quiet about, knowing the work she did though that was not suprising at all.

The storm coming had meant they had stocked up on food and so, the firewood was piled up and she did not exactly know how much to judge do they probbly had way too much, or too little but with what it sounded like they might need too much before long espechily of things dragged out over a few days.

Checking her updates she saw that flights would be cancelled if the storm hit, roads could be bad out towards old Sol Airport, snow drifts and so where meant to be a problem. Oh well, least she had Thursday off though the star Gw hours thanks to night flights would be a little effort to adapt to. Looking out the window at a cool clear night, that definitely would be a rather cold front coming, if anything Alaska taught her it was so gns it may be bad, and that definitely was looking like Alaska.

Texting Xia back and forth, it was silly every day stuff but it was nice to just have someone else to talk to. Sending a quick meme of a man with a iron throne of spanners and "Lord of the Alternaters and 7 cilinders"

Smiling at the meme the two sisters laughed and curled up under a blanket watching mean girls on for thr nth time, winter weather be damned they had a fire, plenty of wine and a decent amount of food and bottles water just incase. The warnings might be over kill but she definitely did not want to get cut short, a heavy shop, ice and not wanting to drive unless needed.

...

Marlin was sat on a bench dying off her hair off after changing out her sleek cobolt blue swimsuit in a cubicle after a rather long shower wearing jeans and a cute t shirt with a penguin design and her silver 3 moons over a planet glittering against the darker design.

Fussing with the hem of her T shirt she made sure it down as she reached up to dry abit off more, the scar should be only a tiny fraction viable at least of it had slipped. A rather visable, slightly jagged mark came into a view a second before she made sure it was hidden.

Drying her long blonde hair slowly, in summer it was easy but in these conditions Marlin definitely wanted to make sure things where dry properly espechily when things where this cold, wind chill. That was a shot cut to a cold if there was any. She had to admit she looked good in a swimsuit and it hugged her athletic figure rather nicely, and the fact other people seemed to notice was rather... Exciting in a sense. Not the creepy level of attention and stares but the quick back glance types.

Talking with Xia as she ran a brush her hair before it went all over the place, despite the fact it was long and straight. It also required some care and atteion to look nice, especially after getting all wet. It was suprising easy and relaxing, the two of them seemed to balence, Xia definitely was rather more confident than Marlin but hers had been rather knocked by recent events.

That was a close one at the end. You owe me a smoothie though.

Told you I was a fish to water, though you had me distracted a few times.

The swim had been fun and they started in the morning as it was due to get bad in the afternoon and lunch was meant to be a blizzard conditions. Definitely not a time that she wanted to be caught out in the snow. The swim had been close rung thing to the end, 1-1 even to the final race and had narrowly pulled ahead of Xia and rather exhunulatly celebrated and have her a hug even kissing her cheek before backing off slightly feeling awkward as they where both in swimwear. Her pace had dropped off on the last race, maybe she met tired or caught self on the rotation and banged her knee?

Marlins lack of height helped in that regard as she managed effortlessly to tuck in, rotate and launch away with a ease of thousands of laps of previous practice coming second nature like walking. Xia had more power but Marlin had managed to claim the last race by making up time on the direction changes.

Pulling on a pair of heavy duty winter boots she picked up in Alaska, thank all that's good and warm she had not decided to leave them behind because of baggage weight. Flight jacket, with a warm wool coat going down to near her knee to keep warm, and scarf, gloves and so. This weather sucked for the time it took but had learned rather quickly how to keep warm in Colder places than Sol, between Russia and Alaska. Marlin was used to it.

Come on, let's see if I cannot snag some extra mango

Cheerfully offering her a hand up after she finished checking her boots where tight, and she had her hand bag, gym bag and a dried off under her ice blue diamond ring. The last thing you needed was it freezing to your finger, least she had remembered to take it off her engagement finger like she had later in the club thanks to the perv.

need a hand?

Oh, family ring. I just pretended to be engaged at the club because of that perv. He creeped me out alot...

...

A short while later Xia and Marlin where leaving the Luna sports centre seeing thr worsening weather, lunch might have to wait. Stood by the doors Marlin was at a strange cross roads of what to do RP react and hoped the layers and face flush from cold would hide it. It had been fun, definitely and both seemed to get on. What did she even do next? Hug, part as friends, what did you even do in these situations. Marinalia never had a boring life that was for sure.

if we Don,t go now it might be a lock in, only minus the booze...

Ummm so, it was fun. And your nice. Ummm.. Wanna go out for a few drinks one night or so, maybe not club Aether... I may be banned. Or just grab lunch or so?

Stay safe Xia, I have a log fire back home. If you lose power or so, we have room at the Inn. Hesphestus Manor, park view. Just near the band stand exit. With the metal gates.

Her brain crashing abit. She was seriously unsure how to proceed and kinda just had a glitch as she could not seem to act or smdo somthing but also not leave. She was happy, and the win had certainly boosted her confidence but also she had no baseline to ever call upon right about now. OK she gave her adress, now she was gonna think all Manor of things, park view was not exactly southside.

Oh, marlins life never was easy.

...

Victoria had a busy few days and gave a grunt as Intenet have a glitch, the deal with Arkady, her father and the supplier would be done in about a week at the most, deptning how long it took to get it to the port. Hopefully they could have it loaded and gone before any of the anti Russians would cause trouble. They hardly where the most popular country.

The storm was definitely coming as she watched from a window and they had that day to go for a shopping run and loaded the Discovery pretty heavily with food, water and so, just incase. It probbly was over reaction but Victoria was one to respect the snow. She had seen what the winter storms could do Moscow.

Dropping Ethen a message, they had a date planned for Thursday, she had a date with Ethen planned... That definitely was different and had not had a propper chance since Milo a good month ago now or more. There definitely was a... Intrest between them, not love, not a attraction quite, but definitely somthong.

Driving to work got a alittle iffy on wensday, her mini was not suited for the conditions, of this got worse she definitely would not make it in on Thursday though. The big tyres of the 4x4 managed it, her little wheels less so. Throwing another log on the fire she watched the flames and remembered things. Milo. What had happened to him, Smith, projects fire. She was sure he was working on somthing before the broke up, bar the illegal guns anyway... That was just.. A alittle. Least the family business was in Legal weaponry.

Sending him a message wensday night watching the flames lick up the side of a log and it turn black, then red cracks of heat brining at its centre, poking to to reveal a red hot core as dumped on a large chunk of oak that made a sizzling and sounds of movement from the suddon heat.

Hello Milo, its Victoria.

Umm well its been a crazy few weeks. But I'm happy and I'm more like my self now. My true self. Im a alittle different and glad I had a chance. Il not fully recover ever but I can manage mostly without a stick now though. New job, just the me that was forced under the surface and I'm back to my raven blaxk hair.

We got a new home. I've got a car now, seems il be staying in Sol a while. I hope you find someone nice. That workshop needs a woman's touch...

Oh. Did you ever finish that project you kept hiding with a long blade, I was just curious what it was and the thought bugging me last night?

VDR

Attaching a picture of her fairly happy with a glass of wine, long raven black hair mingling with its dramatic highlights and sat in what looked like a larger slightly parisian room, a large fire place and windows at the back behind her with trees mostly blocking any view of other homes or structures. It was a older picture, but hopefully it would show she had done the change for the right reason.

Sighing, yes it definitely had been the right idea though she doubted milo would even read the message. Oh well, some things where not meant to ever be. Plus she was kind of glad in a sense, the schemes he was caught up in seemed d a alittle dangerous even for someone who had been to the middle before. Least your threats Thete where decent ernough to fly flags, wear colours or uniforms.

...

With the date the looming, she saw the weather was less than ideal, it was not too far to the lighthouse pub but still it would be a cold walk. Though having regained that little underrated luxury of life being unaided walkong and crunching in the snow was fun. She could dress up warm. Driving was definitely out the question even of Victoria had a 6x6 truck.

Heading up stairs to get changed she managed to find a cute top that was cut i a quite abit more daring and showed off some flawless rather pale skin though she would have to maybe skip on the bra if none worked. with trousers, a warm jacket and her coat, boots and winter gear she had brought over as staying from home. It was from her last time in Moscow but it still fot just fine and was not dated, but it was warm. The brands whet in a Russain script though the latch swen onto arm had the UK and Russain flags divided on a diagonal and thr Polar star logo on the other of a compass. That aside it was the warmest stuff she had the boots would grip on just about anything. Snow or no snow she was having her date! As a half Russian her pride would not let somthong like snow stop her, snow and ice despite being frail at time was somthing she at least knew.

Makenup....well the weather was bound to wreck it so she kept things more simple.

Messaging Ethen quickly before she made her final choices, definitely would be one to check they both where on the same page before they did anything.

Hi, me again :) goddess of madness messaging!

You still on for our date? Given how things seem to be getting rather snowy. I can make it to the light house, but wondering if plan changed. Your bodyguard seems rather paranoid about things, this weather included.

Let me know. If it gets too bad, my home has fires, food and I'm sure we can find a way to pass the time ;)

Let me know, Vika. X x

Ps. If cells service fails. I attached my land line.

Hotting send. She knew that at least one way or other they would have a date, find somewhere to go or at least be able to find a solution. Snow be damned Victoria was not gonna let snow beat her to some fun.

Distracted part away as she saw her laptop on side, Horny the Rhino... Laughing out loud, Horny the male a rhino... The species should be safe if he lived up to his moniker. The Run dominated two stories in the papers website, arrests made, well that definitely was concerning and a buy out.. Senfing it to Cardinal that big buy outs going on in a time of strife, all the small bits of informations might eventually build a picture. If they could understand it, ith they may have a easier time fighting thr cyber threats.

Xia Alexander

Mixed Locations - Thursday - Luna Sports - Xia and Marin hanging out late morning

@PrinceAlexus

She has a hard time getting use to this...a very hard time getting use to this. She may have moved around a bit through her childhood to various places because of where he father was being transferred and stationed, especially in Japan as well but...regardless, the cold was not her favorite when it came to the different seasons. What's worse, Xia had to agree with letting her cousin move in with her thanks to her mother and aunt ganging up on her about family and love and all the other mushy bullshit in their special guilt trip conversation.

Yes...she allowed him to move in but she gave him a serious talking to that if he was to do some shady shit and don't respect her home, she would purposely kick his ass while he's sleep and pour hot grease down his ear. She's an island girl and island bitches were crazy. After getting set up this morning, she headed to the sports facility after having a few text convos with Marin. Pretty nice girl for the most part. Still needed to deal with the negativity but besides all of that, cool to talk to. Xia wondered just how good she really was a swimming and if she'd be a real challenge.

After telling her cousin that she would be back later and not to do anything stupid, she left him there. She grabbed only a few things since hearing about the storm but she asked Carlo to get some more stuff but being the lazy bastard he was, sleeping on her couch, he just mumbled and moaned feeling he shouldn't do a damn thing but just lay there and let her take care of him.

.........

After getting to the facility, spoke to Marin about how many laps she usually did for training and reminded her that she was not going to take it easy. Confidence every present and ready to back up the what was said.

Afterwards, Xia was in the cubicle after getting her shower, wearing her red one piece swimsuit, taking her black swim cap off and looked over while Marin spoke about Xia owing her a smoothie, Well I can't get mad at ya. You're a great swimmer. You pushed me and I basically pushed you. That's all that mattered...challenging each other. She said not really upset with losing even though, in the middle of the last lap, Xia slightly slowed herself down before the finish and made it seem like she lost her breath.

Not that she was taking pity of Marin but it was more of a confidence booster. She pushed hard herself and had to make Marin work for that and of course, Xia could've powered through. All in all, Marin deserved some good for her. After the kiss to the cheek and the hug between the two, Xia got herself dressed. She dried herself, put on her sports bra, under shirt and then long sleeve thermal shirt and after getting her jeans on, she grabbed her beanie along with her scarf and red trench coat. she helped up Marin and noticed the ring and smiled at her comment. Well that is a pretty ring. Be careful, I might just snatch it off you... She winked letting Marin know it was just a joke. She agreed to go to snag more mango. Of course, Xia would pay.

............

On the way out and looking outside, Xia was very hesitant on coming out there. With her gym bag in tow, she turned with Marin asking her out to drink. Hm? Um...sure...we can go one of these nights. I think there's a place that have internationally imported drinks that we can try from all around the world. And...I don't know if I'm going back to that club. We are staying away from crazy shit...unless we have no choice. heh. She mentioned. The next offer sort of surprised Xia. This was the first time marin or anyone here in Sol actually inviting her to stay over...well...except for Aoki but she didn't remember the next morning that she allowed Xia to stay the night.

Alright...I'll keep your place in mind and you stay safe to, Marin... She smirked and picked up her phone to call her cousin Carlo to possibly pick her up. Carlo answered and told Xia that the house already lost power and that he was not leaving to go pick her up. it was too cold. Apparently he never went to get the groceries that she asked him to get and now, he was stuck home with not that much food and in the cold. Okay...well..Xia had an answer for that. Yeah...see what happens when you don't listen to me mother fucka! Now you're stuck with not a lot of food and in the dark and the cold! I'm not coming home. I'm staying with someone else tonight...so...enjoy your stay and if you're hungry, eat the soap you black bastard, Ha! hanging up on him and went to call to Marin.

Her reaction may have made her sound like a total bitch. Was she a total bitch? Tch...she shrugged it off and felt hey, he had it coming since he didn't listen. Males...always have to learn the hard way when they don't listen to her. That's how she felt. She wanted to take Marin up on her offer. She rushed to Marin. Hey Marin...your offer is still up right? hey..um...my dumbass cousin just told me that we lost power already. Mind if I did go with you to your place? She asked her.

Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

Luna Sports to Park View . Late afternoon to Lunch

Marinalia had a abit more bounce to her as she left the sports centre and seemed in a rather pleasent mood as her winter boots gave her confidence on the snow and ice, the thick wool coat, flight jacket, glove. Scarf meant she was rather well equiped to face the cold.

Glad her thoughts where private, Xia definitely was a good swimmer a d gave a rather good challenge to Marlin, old Marlin would have won hands down but that when she was a near profeshinal athlete level and her fitness was due to having time to dedicate on a more refulqr basis to swim, train and being a little younger did help. The injury had caused trouble and that had taken time to retrain her body to its old level. A slight blush came to mind when she relised Xia looked as good as she swam, slightly shocked that thought had swam by and sipped her mango heavy smoothie. The taller atheltic trainer was well, definitely practicing what she preached.

Having time to talk as they left, Marlin was a alittle busy making sure that the public transport was just about running before she left. Apologising to Xia Marinalia crunched on the snow with a slight childlike glee finding patches of fresh snow to get a propper crisp crunch...

Sorry, checking what buses still running, thanks to the snow and all.

Your pretty good yourself, I'd of beaten you more safely when I was 18...now it's 50/50.

My grandma, its a little tradition. They always go to a pair of sisters in the family. Hey. I'd hate to pepper spray you....

Smiling as she drank a smoothie, it was good and Xia definitely knew how to get a rather lot of Mango, definitely a win win in her book today. It sounded silly but mango really helped her recover after a rather intense work out. Smiling and teasing Xia abit, the old slightly more bubbly and playful Marlin crept out and sniffed the air sensing it wa safeish.

your obviously not a winter person miss Xia...

Hoped you say yes, your a good egg. I have had my full of crazy! A quiet bar, good drink and good company is just fine. You have to try Lemon chello then, and maybe some French Choclate liqueurs... Sounds lovely. I miss those. The American kind just ain't the same as real thing.

Yep, well your a good egg, this city has too many bad eggs spoiling the box.

Her preference to egg puns was well known to her freinds, a trait that seems to carry from her mother and a alittle joke book, well they stuck. A nice quiet night out with few expectations and drinks with a few people she trusted at the most sounded a very good idea. She had been arrested, broken hearted and drugged alrwsdy at big events. Marinalia knew her luck was not exactly great in Sol. Ren had been rather nice to her and they got on so well but he seemed to have vanished, they genuinely had fun at times. That was sad, he was a nice friend, even if he definitely seemed to not be on the market and batting for the opposite team so to speak.

Smiling and giving her a hug before beginning to walk over hearing her anaswe the phone and argue at someone before she Crich of snow under her boots was louder and began to walk to a bus stop to catch one of a growing rarer buses back to park view, cabs where not running in these conditions, and any that where wanted a fortune.

Then Xia came up ans seems her place lost power and while she had a few bad experiences, turning her away to a cold night with no power just did not feel right. They had plenty of food, a warm fire and so. She could always take the spare room on third, it even had a small ensuite.

you alri...

Yeah, of course. I meant it Xia. Cousin, well he can chill a while... Ha. Got plenty of room, fuel and food. Having a 4x4 was a life saver. Its... A little, just Don,t judge me please, my family is... Fairly well to do. We owned the home for decades. It was safer... And well we already had to pay for it. Why not live in it...

Come on, il try and find us a bus. Walking would not be fun.

...

Chatting with Xia casually as the two women climbed aboard the bus packed with people trying to get home, to work, or anywhere else in the snowed in city, Marinalia was nervous about the fact her family home was not exactly a small place and had a ballroom... How do you even explain that.

It was easy to talk with her though, the two where somewhat contrasted in many ways though Xia did have a reassuring confidence that did alway her own somewhat battered inner self from her Sol city adventure, no scars or so, but some you could not see on your skin.

The bus was busy, and gave a little embarried smile as a kid sat on end of row meaning she had to budge up abit. The bus service was take what you could get, and Marlin could not refuse a kid who asked her a few questions about England noticing her rather obvious accent which she took in good spirits.

This one's our stop. Its not too far to home.

Walking down a slightly sloped pavement and reached out a hand helping Xia from slipping as she seemed a alittle less prepared for the winter and got her back onto steady ground before letting go, falling over in this would hurt rather badly. The street ews lined with larger homes opposite the park all set back from the road, many with gates walls and high hedges for privacy. The old houses here where calm enclaves from the busy city. Passing a smaller cottage type one, well that was strange, construction materials about and all, snowed under a thick layer of white. Oh well, there land, do as you like.

Reaching a large set of steel gates that stood outside a parisian style large townhouse, a pair of garages and a thick layer of undisturbed snow on the drive. The cars had already been moved to one of the garages just incase. Opening the gate on a electronic lock she gave a small twirl in the fresh snow gesturing round.

welcome to Hesphestus Manor, or just home.

Adding with a smile, she lead Xia down the drive, past snow covered two story garages, the roof was mostly white with a few patches of tiles and the chimney was half free of snow from the residual heat of the fire.

Opening the front door and closing the heavy entente, little did anyone know it was wood but reinforced with metal just as a paranoid back up. The magnetic lock bolts in a alarm. Would mean you would need a battering ram to open it. One of the reasons her family insisted the two women take the place over. Multiple flood lights and cameras where aimed onto the drive way, sides of house and more beside. The place was definitely safe.

The three story entenece was light and open, cool but it always would be, the heavily sloped glass high above was partly snowed over and a down the tiled lower level, a large round table with fake flowers filled space in a trying to be elagent way. Leading her up a large curving staircase to a less ornate and more comfortable area of the house with large sofas. Views of a private garden out a large set of windows and a general theme of paler colours and mix of antiques and modern items all about. A mix of kitchen, living area, dining room and so, all in one large open plan area with glass doors onto a balcony overlooking the entrance hall closed to keep the room warmer.

The ball room and conservatory where viable as the headed up closed off as kept house warmer and the garden behind the house was a image of pure white. More ornate than the family floors, the wood panels and plasterwork etc was detailed with gold leef, painted designs and art works. The ballroom currently closed away had a large painted ceeling that had been merticouliely restored when they renovated and brought to its former glory. The marble of staircase gleamed but clever stone work meant grips had been carved discreetly into the steps.

Throwing off her extra layers and swapping to some ugg boots in a pair of jeans and her cute t shirt from earlier, the house was cool but my no means cold as she threw a few extra logs on the hot embers of the fire and gave it a poke a few minutes later it was licking high battling the cold winter of Sol city. It would keep things comfortable at least as it crackled and logs popped slightly as the flames first hit the wood.

Returning with a pair of mugs of tea, Marlin sat on a sofa pulling a soft blanket over her lap hiding where the t shirt rode up a fraction past her scar and explained where things where letting her have some time to make her self more used to her souroundings. A warm mug of tea should help with the cold, and a dash of some supermarket rum added to give it abit more of a warming kick after the storm raging outside.

so, that the house, Victoria is rather sensetive about her office, so leave it be. My suite is on right, 3rd floor. Of you need me and we stuck here overnight. My sisters on left. We have a spare up stairs with a small ensuite. It's not the biggest. But it's warm and it's perfectly formed.

Let me know if you want anything, you are a guest after all, and I'd be a lacking hostess if I did not treat you well.

I hope I can atleast make use of my families good fortune for good cause anyway. So... Cheers. Its not best rum but she is ukd warm you up.

I'm. Starting to relise why my grandmother loved this place..

Gently chinking a slightly stronger mug of tea, though it definitely was working at warming her back up the Ugh the cold had made her pwler skin slightly pink. Thankfully it was a good way to mask her nerves at how confused her reaction to things had been the past few days.

Adding on the end with a slightly sad tone, Marinalia shared a name, and never remembered meeting her, but everyone seemed to think Marlin took after her. Hopefully she was proud of what they where doing, her ring glittering on Marlins opposite engagement finger, rarely ever coming off.

The snow warnings had been broadcast and sign posted around the city for a couple of days but for Leo he fully intended on keeping his bar open. Having the place open meant that people had a place to see out the weather if they were unable to use transport in the surrounding area. He didn't have cots or beds beyond what was in his office, but he could at least provide people a place to see out the weather if needed. More than anything, it had plenty of supplies and was sufficiently insulated against the weather. Even if the temperature dropped enough to start to affect the interior's comfort level, there was plenty of extra clothing in the clubs lost and found. With a stockpile of food and refreshments, those choosing to see the storm out in the club would be looked after to the best of his and his teams ability.

He personally asked all those who were down on the rota to work through the blizzard, to still come in. All arrived as the snow began to fell and have been there since. He offered to pay them for every hour they were at the club during the blizzard, even if they ended up having to stay there for a couple of days. Money wasn't an object for him when he was trying to help out the people of the city he called home. For those who weren't down to work, including Dustynn, he provided several boxes of supplies for worst case scenario in the days leading up to the blizzard beginning. Tinned food, blankets and even candles. He made the effort to go the extra mile for those he cared about.

"Steve how is it looking out there mate?" Leo let go of the button on the walky talky in his hand. His head of security had been on the door most the day inviting in those walking past who may have no way of getting home. Several people had taken the offer of somewhere to stay and were enjoying the live music Marcus was providing, Leo deciding to put his newest staff members talents to use. "This is some biblical level shit boss. Even if you lived across the street, by time this is finished I think you'd need a snow plow to get you home." Leo sighed at the news, hoping that the reports were over exaggerating the severity of the weather. "Ok mate. Just keep rotating it between you and the guys you have in, I don't want any of you staying out there too long." Steve's boistrous laugh crackled as the speaker of the walky talky struggled with the bass of his voice. "Don't worry we're fine out here. Just keep that coffee coming and we can stay here as long as you need us." Leo sighed once more before ending the conversation with Steve. "Well just keep me updated."

As the conversation ended he began to pour out several cups of coffee and a tea for himself. Placing them onto a tray he made his way towards the stage and the make shift area they had made in front of it. Several tables and chairs had been put in front of the stage to allow guests to enjoy the music while being comfortable. He dished out the drinks to those that had already made it to the club and left Marcus' drink at his feet on the stage. Leo took a seat on a free table, sat back to enjoy the music and sipped at his tea while waiting for more people to arrive.

Meanwhile...

Hey Dusty, I hope that you have everything you need for this
weather now. We've got the bar set up so hopefully we can help
anyone stuck. I mean even if we can help one person, it'd be
worth it. Besides, who doesn't love a lock in? lol. Also, I
promise that the second the roads are back open we'll head up
to Mount Atlas for that date that I promised you. It's such a
beautiful place, i'm sure you'll enjoy it. xx

Monday: Dusty's trailer in Southside's The Palace with Joel @Pilatus
Tuesday- Thursday Afternoon: Working with Marcus @Zaxter996 to SCPD (Sol City Police Department) visiting Mom- Kimberly. Texting Leo @CaptainSully

Dustynn wasn't one for gushing over celebrities local or international, she could piece together now and again who starred in what or where she knew them from- but all of those things we're not high on her priority list. Dustynn thought Joel's face seemed familiar as she watch him fumble with the car, but she felt that way about a lot of people in Sol City. "Yeah? I figured as much." Dustynn replied to Joel's analysis of the car, her arms crossed over her chest to give her petite body a bit of heat as she continued to watch him work his magic. He was a bit on the non traditional side of things, but it came to no surprise, she was just happy it was getting done. On cue she laughed appropriately with his side comments and watched in awe as he used his drink on the car. She would definitely be doing that to one of her friends to impress them later on.

As the two sat there for a moment Dustynn replied to his comment with a hint of reluctance, "I'm not trying to push off any blame, but pretty sure my Mom ran it down this morning." she motioned to the trailer, "She was the one who told me it wasn't working in the first place." she shrugged with a gentle smile, "Could have been me though, I'm human and make lots and lots of mistakes!" a laugh escaped from her lips a hand reaching over and touching the top of Joel's crossed arm briefly. After a few minutes the car spurted back to life, several thank you were exchanged as Dustynn reached into her backpack. She counted out the folded bills, it looked like it equaled to one hundred and seventeen dollars, an impressive amount but it might not have been enough to pay off the generosity of Joel this morning. Dustynn insisted he took every bit, "I'm sorry if it's not enough, but it's all I have. I can get the rest later, or if this can cover the trouble I will be forever in your debt Joel." her eyes matched his, deep in her sincerity.

The deal had been sealed, ol' reliable had been saved.

The start of the week had gone by as usual.

Work. Leo. Have some fun. Work. Leo. Leo. Leo.

Work and her charming man Leo had been all Dustynn had surrounded her days with lately. Work wasn't out of the usual but Leo had continued to bring a smile to the girl's face. Simple things continued to impress Dustynn; Leo would go out of his way to make sure that the young woman was treated well. Looking forward to their date at Mount Atlas, Dustynn constantly googled the area, looking at photos, videos, and reviews while she was on her break at work, babbling often to her new co-worker Marcus when she could. "You're new here, so I'll claim you as my friend before any of these other losers do. Consider it a blessing." Dustynn pointed out with a little smirk, as she moved products with Marcus from the truck outside to inside Club Aether. He was a nice boy, and picked up things pretty fast. She hoped her teasing wasn't too hard on him, as he seemed a little shy now and again.

When Dustynn left work Wednesday night and Leo gave her a supply box for the upcoming storm, Dustynn couldn't help but wonder if he knew where she lived. Trailer trash. She kissed him in the parking lot after placing the box in the back of her car, thankful but worried. He knew that she had a longer drive into work, but tons of people lived in Southside and not in a dingy trailer. "Thanks baby." she commented about the supplies, wrapping her arms around him in an embrace. "Be safe Leo... if it's really bad don't try to come in either, even though I know you will anyways." she laughed, delivering him another kiss before climbing into the car and driving back towards home.

On the road tears rolled down her cheeks as she wiped them away with her thumb inside the sleeve of her sweater that peeked from her leather jacket. She hated feeling this way around Leo, that she was not good enough for this relationship that was forming. Wiping her nose, she fumbled with the radio, happy that it now worked with the heater on. She thanked Joel again in her head as she got back to her home at The Palace. Pulling into the yard, Dustynn was met with flashing lights. "Fuck!" she yelled, throwing off her seatbelt and exiting the car. The police officer met her coming out while she was trying to go in, "What is going on? Is my mom okay?!" she exclaimed, trying to push her way into the trailer, the police officer put out his hand to stop the girl, "She is fine mam, we got a call for a domestic disturbance and found your mother belligerent with another man who fled the scene, we're taking her in for some testing. Do you know of any illegal substances she might be under the influence of?" Dustynn stared blankly, thinking of every nook and cranny in the trailer that had something stashed in it. "No." her tone stern and direct.

The police drove away, as Dustynn cleaned up the mess inside. Some of it was from their investigation but most of it was left there from earlier in the morning. Collapsing to the couch, Dustynn pulled her legs up underneath her as she wondered what in the world was she going to do next. She pulled her silenced since work cellphone out and saw the several missed calls from her mother before slipping off her boots and laying down, not bothering to change into her pajamas.

Thursday's weather wasn't a surprise but it was still an eye opener to see how much snow had fallen overnight. It was not bad enough to drive in, and Dustynn knew she to get down to her mother or the woman would absolutely lose her shit. Dressing in layers once again, Dustynn got ready for the day- bringing the supplies in that she forgot last night; sliding them in the front door before leaving towards the police station. It wasn't the first time she had done this, as she rented a locker to place her phone, keys, money, and other belongings in her pockets away. She filled out the paperwork and waited for the check in to be complete so she could visit with her mom through a heavy glass for about an hour.

Before putting the phone away Dustynn read Leo's text and almost threw up. Things would be so much easier if she just tore down that brick wall and let him help her. She knew he would be here in a heartbeat if she asked. She knew this. She texted him back, a pang of remorse sitting on her heart as she hit send.

I am home right now; so comfy and cozy! Hope you're being safe, and stay nice and warm too. Wish I was there to help. Just thought about that roast you made us, and my tummy is grumbling! I'm bummed that our day at Mount Atlas got canceled this week but I guess everything happens for a reason right? Maybe i'll call you a little later. xox

A look of disgust sat on Dustynn's lips "You're an idiot." Dustynn sneered after she had made her way to the visiting room to put the germ ridden plastic phone to her ear. The hollow face of her pitiful mother looking back at her, as Kimberly explained what happened to her Wednesday night. The two kept a conversation for awhile as the snow fell peacefully outside.
