On a far away planet

The sky had dimmed a hazy green. The air was becoming hard to breathe as the Legion came. Huge pods hurtled down from the sky like meteors, exploding upon impact and creating huge spore clouds. Humans and aliens alike ran for their insignificant lives. Pod after pod being launched from the huge orbiting bio-ship, barraging the doomed planet. Skin rotted away as if acid had been poured over the victim as their teeth morphed into fangs and bone ruptured into vicious spikes or armor. Any words spoken or begs of help were soon replaced with primal snarling and screeching. A survivor sprinted down the alleys. The young human woman had affixed a re-breather to her face and scavenged a pistol from an unfortunate policeman. She thrusted her shoulder into a door to force it open.

The infected, the previous shop owner, turned his... it's head on a swivel and screamed, sprinting towards the woman. Instinctively, she raised her gun and squeezed the trigger. The plasma round whizzed through the air and split apart the skull in two. She couldn't hang around. She had to keep moving. The Legion knew and heard everything. If one infected saw or heard something, they all did. Such was the power of the Hive-Mind. A constant network of telepathic communication. A million voices and one singular voice working parallel to each other.

The woman could hear the chittering and scuttling of a Skitterer Swarm now in pursuit. With every step the woman made, the swarm made up for five. One pounced onto her back. She managed to throw it off and blast it back to whatever fresh hell it came from, but by the time it took to turn the monster into little wet chunks, it was too late. They began to crawl up her legs and all around her. The swarm of skitterers were hungry. Many fangs sinked into her flesh in rapid succession. Her body was razed in a matter of minutes, leaving nothing but an already decaying skeleton with little flesh and cloth left.

On the street, a Brute overturned a car wreckage and stepped onto it before releasing a loud, guttural roar as this planet was now conquered by The Legion.

Malcolm rolls to a stop in front of the Terrestrial Bay, taking a moment to realise what Fanny said.

"I mean, miss Fanny, I can not keep myself maintained. And... I never really desired to fly. That is what Aeravians are for. But, I guess, if it may be necessary for myself to survive here in this I may as well simply go for it. I may be too... outdated now. I suggest that you do the word for me, however. I do not wish to frighten the workers."

He reverses, does a J-turn and heads towards the Quantum Bay, slightly worried at the idea of receiving technology not even the Bugatti Chiron is equipped with. Hopefully it went well.

Damien spear-tackles Fanny, knocking the wind out of her, but her breath escapes with the sound of a playful laugh as she latches to his body like a monkey in a tree and they enter the portal together....

@Quote5@CmdrAlfieq

While Ernest is receiving the instructions to dock from MASGC, Fanny is quietly - and somewhat daydream-like again - staring at her station terminal. The terminal displays a small beacon-like dot flashing on the star map, indicating that Ernest's sensors have detected the ship Fanny was looking for. The readout next to the map displays what other information Ernest's sensors can determine about the vessel: The ship is about one lightyear from their position and appears to be dead in space with insignificant energy readings coming from it. One humanoid life form is on board. The ship is also in the direct path of Hany’s Ribbon.

Fanny snaps out from her lost-in-thought stare at the terminal and talks to Ernest, but for some reason completely ignores the topic of the endangered ship they had found.

“So let’s dock then.” She tells him, and powers down her terminal. A beer, one that looks like one of Ernest’s varieties, appears in her hand. She pops the cap and takes a swig as she walks towards the docking bay doors. “I’m ready to meet this commander. Have you got a drone or something that can come with me, someone who can represent you in the meeting? Maybe the guy that brought me that beer earlier. He was cute.”

By the time she finishes talking, maybe Ernest has already docked in G1-4 on board MASGC. In that case, Fanny and whatever drone Ernest has chosen to accompany her, await the doors of MASGC to open and allow them entry.

@Metatrooper@GingerBoi123

Again, at the same time Fanny was lost in thought back on board Ernest, Jezebel vanishes, only to reappear inside the hangar of The Tempest, or at least that’s what Tempest’s internal sensors may have determined. As she reappears, a new message is received by Tempest’s bridge systems.

“I have unloaded inside you.”

In the hangar, once Jezebel had materialized, her door instantly lifts open and spits out two humanoids, one male, the other one female with her arms and legs wrapped around the male. They exit the craft like a shot out of hell and tumble together across the hangar floor before crashing hard into the wall. At the moment they exit, however, Jezebel vanishes from sight and sensors again. She does not reappear. All that’s left in the hangar are the two people she deposited, Fanny and Damien.

When Fanny and Damien come to rest on the hangar floor, Damien is on top of her. Her legs and arms are still wrapped around him.

“We have to stop ending up like this.“ She says to Damien laughing. “Is that a weapon sticking into my hip, or are you just very happy to be here?”

@Quote5

After Ramrod’s message was delivered to Rorod and Rorod severs communication, Ramrod poses his objectionable question to the Forte but doesn’t get an immediate response. His effort to scale the wall for a better look at the view screen is successful, however, and as he takes a close look at the screen - and what is probably a surprise to Ramrod - the view screen itself speaks to him in small frightened, gender-less voice, saying:

“Please don’t hurt me. Please don’t complain about me. I’m just doing as I’m told. I don’t want to be any problem to you or anyone else. How’s my resolution? Is the image okay? If you’re having problems seeing it, would you like me to enhance the image for you? I really don’t mind, if that’s what you want. Just please don’t hurt me or scratch my finish.”

@Doc Doctor

Dino Gavon doesn’t say another word, he just grins at Donny, but not in a friendly kind of way before, under control of the Science Ship Erud that had already locked onto his life signs, Donny along with every item he carries on his person vanishes in flash of white light.

A second later, communications officer Cas and Science officer Madot are taken separately aboard the Flagship in the same fashion for medical treatment.

Donny will now find himself on board the city science ship Erud, on a metal bed at the center of a room not much bigger than a common prison cell. The walls, ceiling and three walls of the room are all composed of the same metallic alloy, while one wall appears to be missing. Standing in an adjoining room filled with what would, to Donny, be unfamiliar medical devices, instruments and eight evenly spaced ceiling security turrets, is a tall man in a white overcoat staring in at Donny.

The man looks middle-aged, Caucasian with short curly brown hair, beady eyes, hands coupled behind his back, and lacks any expression at all. But once Donny notices him standing there, he opens his mouth to speak in a cold, droned tone:

“Welcome to my medical Bay. I’m Dr. Fock. Best you relax. There’s a forcefield erected between us, so attacking me will get you nowhere. Before you are put to sleep and my team administer medical treatment, is there anything we should know – conditions, allergies, etc… apart from the obvious injuries?”

While the Doctor is talking, two penny-size valves open up in the opposite corners of the ceiling in Donny’s cell. The sound of slowly escaping gas can be heard.

@Scorpionius

"You've made the right decision." Fanny says in a comforting tone as she steps out of Malcolm in the quantum bay.

Once out, she greets the three geeky mechanics in a way to suggest that she and them were old friends. The three young men also seem very impressed by Malcolm's unique look while Fanny goes onto providing them instruction. She tells them that the car was recently bought by her from a commission company in another sector of town, that she wants to give her new car - who she has already name Malcolm - a full yet discrete quantum makeover, and that she would prefer that they do all the work manually, not with machines, just because she prefers the personal touch. She also requests that they give Malcolm a complete maintenance service, despite the fact that he is fresh off the construction line.

The men gladly agree to abide by her wishes and get to work on the Quantum updates first:

They are pleasantly surprised to see that Malcolm’s hood opens in a forward fashion, but they don’t waste any time in infusing a slipstream compositor to the carburetor. They then attach quantum energy shield generators (that work interdependently as both anti-gravitational and protective components); two within the casing of Malcom’s passenger and driver door, the other two attached to the inner sides of the hood and trunk. A trans-communicator chip, along with a tiny voice-activated prompt mic, is planted inside Malcolm radio for faster-than-light intergalactic communication. A Temporal infuser is installed beneath Malcolm’s dash, a Quantum Sensory disperser-receptor is installed within Malcolm’s front bumper, and then Omni-directional propulsion cylinders are attached to all four hemispheres of his chassis. These omni-directional cylinders are synchronized with the previously installed Slipstream Generator, and a small aero-anti gravity control devise that is added to the knob of Malcolm’s gearstick, much alike the D-pad on an Xbox controller.

None of these additions are any larger than a 5cm in length, and all of them are connected by wireless interface to a new touchpad control panel that is attached to the plate on the right of Malcom’s Handbrake. Lastly, an interactive systems laminate is pasted to the center region of Malcolm’s windscreen. This device is designed to only show up when prompted, and displays a translucent view off all new system interactions.

Of course, what the mechanics don’t know is that Malcolm, being what he is, will be able to use any of these systems in the same way he uses any of his original components. In the end, aside from the touch pad on Malcolm’s center console and the small thumb control on the knob of his gear stick, he looks pretty much the same as he did before the work was done… at least from an outside perspective.

Note: All new systems are powered by Malcolm’s usual fuel of choice, adapted to work by way of an energy transformer built into the slipstream compositor.

Once they’ve done with the updates, the three geeks, with a little assistance from Fanny herself, give Malcolm a complete maintenance service.

He’s ready to go, and surprisingly enough, the entire procedure took all of 30 minutes.

Fanny thanks the men, who don’t appear to ask her for payment from her, before she gets back in the driver’s seat with a fresh beer in her hand, which just so happened to materialize from nowhere.

“So, Malcolm, how do you feel; ready for an adventure of a lifetime? Let’s go stretch your new legs….”

Slowly but surely keeping Starship Ernest at anchor point closer to G1-4 Docking Terminal's sealed door, they begin to hear a compression of air for normalizing a vacuum of space into breathable and a gravitational pull to the floor. After a few moments of preparation to kept the terminal in a state of order, the door opens with a "whizzzz" and so met with a standing, interacting terminal with a radio speaker attached at the middle of a terminal section G1-4.

A sound of an automated AI has been heard by that terminal:

"Welcome to the MASGC Space Headquarters, visitors. You are now at Terminal Section G1-4. Please check all of your belongings and items, as by the next point behind this terminal was a sealed door led to a long corridor, which it has linked to several other docking terminals of this Node Sector G, and to the endpoint of Node Sector G, a security check was waiting there. To reach the Central Node C, the one of three main sections, you'll need take the travelator towards at the end of a corridor accompanied with several signs at the ceiling. Then you'll need to go through the security check to make sure the safety of the MASGC Space Headquarters will not be jeopardized upon entering the main sections.

For more information and guides around the MASGC Space Headquarters, you can use this terminal for providing you with a most basic info. Further explanations required a person whom working at the MASGC Space Headquarters for a better understanding. Thank you and have a good day."
[@M.A.S.G.C Automaton]

After listening to an automated AI from an standing terminal, another voice came out from a same terminal. But this time, it was a Commander itself:

Ah, I've been expecting you to come into my Headquarters. I'll be at the meeting from Central Node A, take a lift there at the middle of Central Node A, and set the floor to level 22. You can follow those signs provided in the MASGC space headquarters after you have reached Central Node C, as since the MASGC Space Headquarters is very huge if you have already noticing the design and layout of course. Now, make due haste and don't make myself waiting for Ribson's calamity to happen!

Meta couldn't believe it, he had just saw Jezebel's signal disappear, reappear and disappear once again entirely. Another message had also been received when she reappeared, saying that she has "unloaded inside of him". Another odd choice of words, but what really raced through Meta's mind was what did she unload? He then used the terminal to check the Tempest's security systems and watched the live camera feed overlooking the hangar.

Meta: Oh no.

Two people had appeared inside the hangar bay, what looked like a male and a female. This was the last thing he had wanted, not only did the Jezebel not give aid, but it also dropped two new unwanted passengers. Meta rose from the chair and grabbed his ME-622 plasma rifle and walked out of the bridge heading towards the hangar. He then opened the coms on his helmet, and set the channel to the ship's droid crew.

Meta: Niner, do you read me?

A jumbled sound that sounded like Morse code was heard, before a deep artificial voice set in.

Niner: Affirmative sir, what are your orders?

Niner was the lead ASP-160 repair droid of the ship, programmed as the "leader" of the droid crew.

Meta: Give me the status of the remaining droids.

Niner: Three ASPs including myself fully operational. One instigator ready to be deployed, the rest are offline.

At least they had a few remaining...

Meta: I need you to grab the other ASPs and head to the engine room. Try and shift the reactor into maximum overdrive to see if we can get another hyperspace jump ready.

Niner: I advise against that sir, overloading the reactor could cause a meltdown and destroy the ship.

Meta: We don't have any other choice Niner, unless you have any brighter ideas?

Niner: Negative, we will commence immediately. I will report to you once we are ready.

Meta: Oh, and another thing. Send the Instigator to the Hangar Bay will you? We have some surprise guests aboard the ship.

Niner: Order received, routing Instigator unit 002 to the Hangar Bay now.

He then closed the com channel and rechecked his blaster to see if it was functional. He was already nearing the hangar bay and was ready to deal with his new "guests". He stopped right before opening the door to the area, checking the feed through his HUD, he saw the two figures on the ground seemingly lying down, with the male lying on top of the female figure.

He opened the door and stepped onto the platform overlooking the whole area. He could see the pair down below with no sign that the ship was even here. He stopped before the railings and raised his rifle, taking aim at the figures. He then raised his helmet's voice amplifier and said:

Meta: Who are you and what are you doing on my ship?

Right after he said it, a door on the opposing side of the hangar opened as the Instigator moved inside. Its four mechanical, spider-like legs carried it onto another platform before it deployed its dual laser cannons and aimed both of them at the pair.

Cuna managed to avoid falling back down the stairs at the sudden impact, taking a moment to glare at the lady acting in an overdramatic way. Prick. That was the word that came to mind. He sighed, and shook his head, replying in a dry voice.

"I mean apparently you didn't. Now, if you'll excuse me, I don't have places to be. Other than 'away from fucking explosions'." With that, he raises an eyebrow at her sudden change of expression to sheer boredom, and steps out of the way for her to make her way down the stairs.

Pirila was confused as the beer bottle and wall damage suddenly vanished. She didn't quite understand it, but it meant that in all likelihood the 'Fanny' person was indeed someone who couldn't be trusted. After all, she apparently created illusions to try and deceive her.

"Well, that was weird." Pirila says to Mili, who simply nods in response. Pirila still held the lotion, and looked at it curiously, before throwing it away. The person who gave it wasn't trustworthy, so she had no reason to trust the lotion itself. After all, it could be dangerous.

"Shall we eat?" Pirila asks, in response to which Mili nods excitedly as she takes a seat at the table. Smiling, she prepares some simple sandwiches, and sits down with the younger girl, handing her a sandwich as she starts eating. Mili happily takes the sandwich and eats it, apparently hungry.

The sound of gunfire outside made Pirila worry, but if people were planning to break in then she'd see them off.

As Donny was being... removed from the premises, Hida decides it time to emerge from her hiding spot.

Cautiously looking up from behind the wall, she brushes off her dress and cautiously steps towards the front door, trying not to worry the people at the door. After all, they looked sort of dangerous given how the person who started the fight, together with two others, suddenly vanished.

"Hi." Hida said, raising a hand in greeting as she approaches the door. Meanwhile, the people that were inside slowly start leaving the building, returning to their homes.

As Ernest
Ernest has chosen to ignore the spontaneous beer. Between Fanny May's ship disappearing and reappearing, and Hany's Ribbon, Ernest isn't really phased by much anymore.

"I can't give you that specific drone, it is still recharging. I a hundred just like it though. It doesn't matter, they aren't able to function unless they are either inside my hull, or touching it. So unless you want me to extend out a chain pods like I did when I pulled your ship in, or if you somehow manage to mysteriously improve my systems like you are so fond of doing, a drone can not accompany you."

A repair starts following Fanny May. It looks nearly identical to the last one. One of the ocular sensors is looking at Fanny May, almost expecting her to work her magic again. Assuming she does, the pod is able to follow her outside the ship.

SUCCESSFULLY DOCKED AT MASGC STATION.
ASSIGNING 1 REPAIR POD(S) TO FALLOW USER FANNY MAY.

There was not much to show on the terminal, ok?

@Hokum
As Rodia. I guess you didn't have anything to respond to Rodia with. Happens a lot, huh?

Rorod stops for to think for a moment. He looks out the office window towards the factory, not forgetting about the unfinished R-Core. "Those poor things... they must be terrified! Barely able to function, and already thrusted into a situation of extreme danger..."

Then he looks to the Forte's ship. "That thing though... if we can defeat it, I'm sure we can harvest enough metal to complete them, and a hundred more! Maybe even expand Rodia some, add some propper defence turrets or something..."

Then, Lars bursts into his office. "Mr Rorod sir! We are ready to launch the first wave of ships!"

Rorod: "Ah, excellent! Launch them immediately, but be careful. We don't know what kind of weapons these guys have."

A few minutes later, several ships launch out of varias bays. 20 Armored Gunships and 10 private militia ships. As the armored guships launch, each one has two wings extend from the body, each with a single, powerful, rapid fire plasma turret. The orb-shaped hull is incredibly hard to damage, but the wings and the joins where the wings connect to the ship aren't as well armored. The private militia are much larger and less maneuverable than the armored gunships, but their single plasma turret has better range, and the ships themselves are faster. They are also a bit more delicate, since they weren't made for war.

The fleet of thirty ships moves in between the Forte's ship and Rodia, forming a loose ring around the tractor beam, being careful not to get too close to the ship. The armored gunships move in front of the militia ships, holding their fire at the moment.

Meanwhile, back at Roida, a disgruntled robot sits in his jail cell. He happens to look outside. "I could be helping with that, you know!" He said. "Let me out and return my magic circuits, my ion cannon could wipe them out in no time!"

"Keep dreaming, Gamma!" Laughed the Warden, "Maybe you'd destroy them, but then you'd turn that cannon on us. Don't try to deny it! We don't need you loose again!"

Gamma glares at the warden, but he can't deny it. He then looks back out his cell, and happens to notice a blurry object.

"Wait a second, that thing... that is moving just like the Wave Blaster! Somebody stole my Fighter!"

as Ramrod
Ramrod is in fact quite surprised. In fact, he loses his grip and falls back to the ground in surprise. (since he is a stuffed animal, it doesn't hurt him)

"Mraoh mraoh?!" (You can talk?!) "Mraoh mraoh mraoh?" (Why do these people need a sentient computer screen?)

Ramrod stares up and the display screen. He then climbs back up to get a closer look at it again. He thinks to himself. (well, there goes my first plan.... I was going to rip this thing off and sea if there was, by off chance, a passage behind it. But... it's... sentient? I guess I shouldn't hurt it...)

As Siren
Far away from the conflict of Rodia and the Forte is a fighter spaceship, the Wave Blaster, following them from afar.

"Idiots" The pilot says to herself. "If I am to believe half of what I heard about either Ramrod or Rorod, they aren't going to stand a chance leading themselves against the Forte."

Siren starts speeding up her ship. "Oh well, I guess I should help them." The Wave Blaster initiate's its hyper drive, warping in front of the giant space need's path. She moves her ship closer, looking for any weakness in the armor. Should she find any, she'll fire at it, and try to make a hole in the armor.

-Donny gave Dr. Fock a faint grin, tilting his head up just long enough to acknowledge the alien before resting it back down.-

"Ah'm healthy as a horse, sah. Jus' take care when yah remove mah articles..."

-He allowed himself to inhale the gas. They'd surely strip him down and confiscate his belongings, maybe even put him in an observation cell. Donny had been in a cell only once before, and not a high tech one. This was going to be unusual, even for him, but he didn't have much choice, and at least he was on-board. One step at a time, is how a journey's end approaches.
If those administering medical care to Donny attempted to remove his overcoat or shirt by the lapels, the razors sewn in might give one of their fingers a nip. An old trick to surprise those who thought that grabbing someone by the collar was a good idea. Plus, you never know when you may need a hidden razor.
Unclothed, Donny had a dad bod. A reasonable layer of fat over supple, functional muscles, the kind you achieve not from bodybuilding, but from various degrees and disciplines of hard work and practical training over the course of many years. He had no scars, only a variety of large, intricate tattoos.
On his left bicep, a fanged skull topped with a green beret overlaying crossed arrows, a dagger thrust up through the jaw. A trio of lightning bolts cut through the hilt of the dagger, and looming out of an eye socket was a black viper, venom dripping from exposed fangs. Below the skull, there was a crossed out motto with a newer one tattooed right below it.

DE OPPRESSO LIBER
WAR ENDURES

-Dominating Donny's nearly hairless stomach and torso was an angel of death, robed in gray tatters with a gaunt skull peering out from a ratty hood. Vast black feathered wings arched above it, the tips meeting at the base of Donny's neck.
The last notable tattoo covered the entirety of his back. It portrayed a crimson sunset over a vast prairie landscape. The sun was a bleeding skull, the blood from its sockets, septum, and gaping maw oozing over shadowy mountains and setting the grass aflame. In the midst of it all, a pitch black rider sat upon an equally black horse, blue prairie fire coiling about its hooves and snout, the spirits of the dead. The rider's face was a pale smudge with glistening shark's eyes and a wide-brimmed hat. A bundle of scalps were tied at his belt, the dark, dried skin rusted with caramelized blood. Draped across Donny's shoulder blades over the scene was another motto, this one in English, not Latin.-

Damien- The fuck is this?

@Metatrooper@Hokum

Damien rolled out of the spaceship and hit the back wall with a grunt. As his senses returned to him, Damien saw Fanny was above him and heard her remark. He rolled his eyes and gently pushed her off. "Yeah, yeah, whatever." He grumbled as he stood up and offered a hand to Fanny. He looked around the now metal environment they were in. Some sort of... sci-fi spaceship hangar? He didn't really know. However, something about it made him uneasy. "You might need to be on guard. We are clearly intruding." The monotone voice of Bael echoed in Damien's mind.

The half-demon nodded and put his hands together in a praying position. Damien slowly manifested is chain scythe, Bael and started looking around before the man in a metal suit made his presence known. Instincitvely, Damien protectively put his hand in front of Fanny, his grip tightening on the handles. Damien scowled at the man. "Look, man. I'm not gonna lie. I have no idea why we're here. I'm Damien. This is Fanny. We jumped into a portal and ended up here. That's all I know." Damien explained as he eyed the robot that also had it's guns trained on the pair.

"What? Not so good yourself so you get a robot to do shit for you? C'mon, metal man. You look like some sort of techno-soldier. It's disappointing. Really." Damien taunted, trying to show that he wasn't phased.

Fanny held a little smirk while Ernest was telling her about the unlikelihood of having a drone accompany her on the meeting, but as soon Ernest finishes voicing his explanation, he would have seen things a little different than usual. One part of him would have seen things as he usually does, while suddenly another part of him - yet still the same part of him - is now looking independently out the eyes of a small Pod drone now racing down the hallway to catch up to Fanny at the door.

After listening to the automated message from MASGC, the following message from the Commander, and then while the door begins opening up to allow them access, Fanny smiles down at the little bot with a wink.

“Ernest Junior, huh?” She giggles as she steps through the doorway. “Let’s just call you Junior.”

Fanny and Ernest Junior follow the instructions the Commander had described. Their journey was somewhat uneventful aside from some security personal (who may or may not have turned up as escorts and safety precautions), but eventually they made it to Central Node C awaiting further istructions.

@Quote5

“Hi again!”

The screen welcomed Ramrod back after climbing the wall for the second time. “I hope you didn’t get hurt. I really didn’t mean to alarm you. I sure hope you haven’t returned to hurt me at all, I really don’t mean any harm. I’m a lot like you when you think about it – sure I’m not plushy and cute like you are, but I am just another treasure for the Forte. I really hope… Hey! That’s it! Maybe you’re the one who can help me, right? I’ve been waiting for so long for someone to come along and save me. You’re getting out of this place, right? Right?? You can take me with you! That would be delightful!”

The screen pauses for a moment, releasing a small groan, and adds;

“But you probably won’t take me with… I’d only be a burdon, and I’m much too big to be carried by such a cute little fella like yourself.”

Apart from revealing that he is also a captive, the view screen seems to be turning out like a real chatterbox. He keeps rambling in a nervous voice, telling Ramrod everything he knows about the current situation, including the fact that everything the Forte have was taken from other civilizations, which includes their torpedo shaped vessel that they stole from another race called The Skant. Literally everything they have, as far as the View Screen knows, isn’t actually theirs. In any case, Ramrod is going to have to interrupt the view screen if he wants to get a word in.

@GingerBoi123@Metatrooper

Fanny starts laughing when Damien pushes her off and is still laughing like someone had told her a joke that she couldn’t let go of as she gets to her feet and dusts herself off, taking a brief look around at the hangar.

The sight of Meta and the Instigator, though she sees them quite clearly, don’t seem to bother her in the least. If anything, they seem to add to her amusement. Fanny is unarmed and still dressed in her grey business skirt, white blows, semi-high heels, and now props her glasses up higher on her nose.

When Damien was done with his antagonistic introduction, she looks down at his protective hand and stops laughing to grin speculatively.

She then regards Meta with a big toothy smile, saying; “I really love what you’ve done with this place. And is this your pet spidey?” She swirls a finger in direction of the Instigator; “Because he is absolutely adorable!”

@Quote5

The Forte don't noticeably respond to the gathering of 20 Armoured Gunships and 10 private militia ships of Rodia. Maybe they don’t see them as a threat, or maybe they are quietly preparing their own attack.

Meanwhile, as Siren and the Wave Blaster move to the front of the Forte’s ship and conduct scans to look for weaknesses, then find none. In fact, they pick up on no readings at all beside the fact that the hull of the ship is made from some variety of unknown alloy. Any scans of the interior of the ship also don’t seem possible, at least until Siren can find a way to penetrate the hull with her technology.

Less than a minute after Rodia ships and Wave Blaster take their positions, the Forte's ship drops suddenly out of Transit-Drive and comes to a halt, its pointed Bow now only a few miles from The Tempest and likely within scanning range. Either way, the massive metallic tip of the Torpedo shaped vessel along with Rodia, the 30 Rodia fighters and Siren's Wave Blaster can be seen by Meta, Damien and Fanny through the forcefield seal opening of The Tempest's Hanger.

***

Although MASGC and The Tempest are at tail ends of the phenomenon, Haney’s Ribbon continues her faster than light approach of them both, and now Rodia, The Wave blaster and Forte as well. She is now less than an two hours away from making contact with all of them, and at this point the effects of her approaching presence will be interfering with technological systems of various types, including communications and navigational controls of all parties in the line of destruction.

@Doc Doctor

Perhaps half a minute after Donny speaks his piece in a way to only induce suspicion in Dr. Fock, the gas takes its effect on him. He wakes an unknown time later, but maybe long enough for Donny’s previous hunger to be felt with a vengeance.

Donny is no longer wounded. By all accounts, despite his probably hunger, he should be feeling 100%. He is now in a different room that he was at the time of being gassed to sleep. He is seated in a reclining metal chair near the center of the room. He is not strapped in or secured, but he is surprisingly wearing the clothes he arrived in, though his weapons have been removed. They can’t be seen anywhere in the room. Even the razor blades that lined his collar have been removed, no doubt placed with the rest of his equipment somewhere on board the ship.

The room is metallic, approximately 15 meters in diameter, with a single, circular wall and one exit that can be made out as a faint outline of an arched doorway to his right. No handles or any other item can be seen to open this door. Next to the door, however, is a small 8 inch square, black screen, maybe a touchpad of types. At four evenly placed intervals on the ceiling are security turrets, each of them armed with an array of 5 different weapon types, each with their own allocated barrel, and each are equipped with red laser sensors that are actively probing the area surrounding Donny’s position.

The only other currently visible subject in the room is a young woman in her late teens to early twenties. She is seated in a chair facing Donny from two meters away. She has brown shoulder length hair, green eyes, and is dressed in boots and a grey jumpsuit with a Cyan logo embroidered on left breast pocket that reads: QMS. Pinned to the right collar of her suit is what appears to be a generic name tag that doesn’t at all suit the rest of her attire. The name tag reads F. May. She also wears a small device on her right wrist, similar though smaller than the ones Dino Gavon and his crew were wearing. No weapons are visible on her person. With her hands couples modestly in her lap and portraying an almost emotionless face - just a smallest trace of a smile – F. May stares at Donny in initial silence.

Once Donny has properly gained consciousness and is more than well aware of his surroundings, she speaks to him a calm and somehow clinical tone:

“Donny. How do you feel about anchovies?”

She then raises one brow at him in an expectant manner to await a reply.

@Zyngard@Dartbored Fairy

After removing his mask, Hida is met by a wide-eyed and wary glare from Dino Gavon, who proceeds to watch her as she approaches the door to the station. Lieutenant Shard, on the other hand, gives Hida a wave in a Forrest Gump fashion and spouts her greeting. She then catches up to Hida with cheeks puffed as she lets out a sigh of relief.

“Boy O boy, that sure was a close one!” Shard tells her, as they stand at the door to allow the riffraff to exit before entering. She takes off her mask and holds out her hand to greet Hida with a formal handshake, adding; “You can call me Shard! You’re the first alien I’ve had the privilege of meeting. I sure hope you’re nicer than the others we’ve met so far. What do you people call this world anyway?”

When Cuna steps aside, Fanny doesn’t take the opening to pass by. Instead, her look of boredom is replaced by an intense stare at Cuna, watching him in a way that a child may observe a suspicious stranger.

Meanwhile, in the kitchen where Pirila and Mili are having their meal, the tube of lotion, which was supposed to have been thrown away, is now laying on the table next to the second half of Mili’s sandwich.

A moment later, while Mili is chewing her sandwich and the lotion is noticed, and while Cuna is being curiously observed by Fanny, and while Shard and Hida are standing outside the Station Hall, a tremor strikes. The earthquake is quick and sharp, having enough force to knock anyone standing off their feet. The ground for miles around shifts sharply in one direction then the next, while the entire structure of Phantom Point Station sways to and fro. The floor cracks in numerous areas. The walls creek and moan beneath the pressure. The earthquake is followed by a massive sounding boom that seems to derive from the sky, though for anyone outside nothing can be seen in the murky heavens above.

@Oh no my soup

Magnus lands his ship in the bay and finds himself is in luck, kinda… maybe? Propulsion's R Us have a self-serve policy; take what you want, then deposit what you owe in the honesty box to the left of the fueling bay. Of course, there is a little disclosure notice posted above the honesty box that reads as follows:

Hi! Welcome to Propulsions R Us! Please top up and deposit your payment in the box below – we sure will appreciate your honesty! If payment for your favourite Propulsion is not made before you depart from this station, you will be henceforth branded an outlaw by Doug, who will most like hire a thug to scale the universe hunting you down to punish your dishonest, lowlife, good for nothing ass. So keep that in mind before stealing from us – and have a good day!

At the opposite side of the Fueling bay to the honestly box, is a doorway that leads to an turbo lift that serves as an access pod to the rest of the station.

Cuna raises an eyebrow and gives a lazy shrug as her expression changes once more, in that weird sorta creepy way. “So, you gonna fuc-“ And that’s when the earthquake hit.

Cuba stumbles and falls for ward towards Fanny, managing to bring an arm up sideways to brace himself. After a moment of staying on the ground to make sure of nothing else yet, he rose back to his feet “The fucking bloody hell was that? Can’t a guy have a fucking day without any bloody explosions or flaming earthquakes?” He grumbled.

@GingerBoi123

A man silently watches the planet from atop one of the less ruined buildings. His sunglasses glinted slightly, his exposed mouth a neutral expression. So this was the Legion. A difficult target, to be sure. Extermination wasn’t his usual business, but he doubted that there was much of another way to handle something of this size, spanning several planets.

He was tempted to take a potshot, but that could compromise his position atop the building, having no issue with the spores. From there, he looked up to the bioship that seemed to be launching the pods. That was likely to be his next step here. This planet wouldn’t have the Hivemind. Not if it’s been newly conquered.

With a quiet sigh, he unslung an odd rifle from his back, taking aim at a brute down on the surface. Those seemed to be the ‘elites’ so to speak. Like him. He adjusted his aim, shifting to account for gravity, and - after a moment - to account for wind. The rifle seemed to glow a gentle blue along some grooves as it’s barrel crackled with electricity, until he finally made the adjustment for the beasts likely behavior based on how it had acted so far, and he squeezed the trigger, the magnetic material electrically charged, speeding straight for the Brute’s head. Outside of the sound of the rifle charging, there wouldn’t be a telltale gunshot. Just how he liked it.

And yet, the Legion would probably know where he was now. The consequences of giving into temptation, he supposed. Time to go. He opened his way back down the roof, and started making his way down the abandoned building. Not even any infected in this particular building. Part of the reason he chose it, really. That’d give him a little time, but not much.

Before Meta could reply to anything the newcomers have said, several vessels materialized right outside his and could be seen from the hangar's transparent gate. Not even a second after the ships emerged, a notification appears on his HUD, carrying info about the ships. It appears that all of the vessels are armed, which is not especially good news for the piece of scrap metal floating through space named the "Tempest".

Realizing the bigger threat that's present, he calls off the Instigator, commanding it to disengage and return to its holding area. He faces the pair below him and says:

Meta: I'm not going to fight you, but if you value your lives, come quietly and follow me.

He then turns around, returning his plasma rifle to its holder beside his jetpack and sprints towards the door, disappearing behind the cold steel doors. The Instigator then folds its guns and turns around, returning to where it came from.

Running down the hallway while heading back towards the bridge, Meta opens his coms once again and contacts Niner.

Meta: Status report now.

Niner: Core is stable, we will be able to overload it with little risk.

Meta: How long?

Niner: Approximately 15 minutes sir.

Meta: Better make it quick, we have more company.

He closed the coms and continued running down the steel gray hallways of the Tempest, rushing towards the bridge. It would take him at least 2 minutes more to reach the bridge, but a lot could happen in 2 minutes.

Without speaking his name, Cain shuffles heavily into the office and grabs Gillian by the throat with a single hand. His grip is firm, though not so tight that it restricts her breathing. He draws his face close to hers. His breath reeks of sulfur.

"You need not know my name. I, however, need your best vessel. Quickly."

In the aftermath of the quake, while Mili consumes her sandwich, the searing burn of the fingerprint marks on her neck intensifies. With this sudden increasing of unbearable pain, the marks start radiating a crimson light, like that of a pulsating beacon, while the bandages thereon begin to scorch like cloth to an open flame.

This intense burn lasts for several seconds before reducing to its prior state, yet the radiating glow from the marks continue. The blackened bandages burst into flames and fall from their placing.

@Hokum
-Donny gave the room a quick once over. He then glanced down his body, casually noting how lax they had been about leaving him his articles. Perhaps he wasn't under arrest, but in some kind of light detention. No little confiscation box he'd been forced to put all his possessions in, no prison garb with a number on the back. Not too shabby. The room didn't have too many resources, but there were enough. He sat up and looked down to see if either chair were bolted to the floor. They were. He then studied the turrets. He leaned to the left, then the right, to see if they'd track his movement. Afterwards, he finally answered the woman, after intently studying her clothes to see if she wore any loose articles like a tie. At least they were practical about attire. She wasn't wearing anything that he felt could be used to efficiently kill someone with.-

"Ayuh. Ah'm partial to 'em. Got a pizza fah meh? Black coffee puhaps?"

-He wondered if she was going to interview or interrogate him. He figured he'd wait until he knew for sure if they'd release him, and until after he ate. He figured he could use her as a hostage, worst case. She probably wasn't going to use that door. She could likely teleport in and out of the room, so if he was going to take her, he'd have to use his wits.-

"Am Ah under arrest? Gonnah haftah go tah court or whatevah yah folks gawt? If so Ah'd like to hear thah charges an' speak to mah lawyer. Othahwise, if yah don't mahnd, Ah'd like tah ask a few questions 'bout where Ah've found mahself. Nevah been on a spaceship before, Mah'm."

-His lazy Down East accent was almost Forest Gump-like, but lighter, sharper, with a well pronounced emphasis on the consonants. It hinted at the resolute confidence of an educated man from a hard, rural background.-

As Ernest
The drone speaks up. "Referring to this unit as 'junior' is not necessary. It is still very much a part of me."

While they are waiting, the drone asks "If I may, ask how are you able to manipulate my programming so easily? This is the second upgrade you have given me, and both times you have upgraded me it was seemingly effortless on your part."

Back at Ernest's actual ship, the terminal reads:
ASSIGNING REPAIR POD NAME AS "ERNEST JUNIOR"

"No you are not!" says Ernest. "That pod stays just a pod. It's not special."

FAILED TO ASSIGN NAME TO REPAIR POD.

WARNING! INCREDIBLY LARGE BATTLESHIP INSTANCE OF UNKNOWN ORIGIN DETECTED NEAR LANDING SITE!

Ernest metaphorically looks over. "Incredibly large is right. I wonder what their deal is?" Then Ernest Junior said to Fanny May "May, you wouldn't be chance know what that thing is, do you?

@Hokum
As Ramrod
"Mraoh... mraoh mraoh." (I'm sorry... you would be far too difficult to take with me." Mraoh'd Ramrod. "Mra-oh...." (Unless...)

"Mraoh mraoh mraoh? Mraoh mraoh mraoh?" (How do you work? Is your mind connectected directly to your screen or can it be changed?) "Mraoh mrao. Mraoh mraoh mraoh." (I'm pretty smart. I can reverse engineer just about anything) "Mraoh mraoh mraoh, mraoh mraoh mraoh?" (Maybe I can transfer you to an R-Core body, or some other mobile robot?)

Ramrod stopped himself in his exited planning. "Mraoh! Mraoh? Mraoh mraoh!" (Oh! Where are my manners? I don't even know your name yet!) "Mraoh mraoh mra-oh, mraoh. Mraoh mraoh?" (My name is Ramrod, which you probably gathered. What's your name?)

@Hokum@CmdrAlfieq
As Rodia
Rorod's response to their arrival at the MASGC: "Huh."
Lars: "What should we do about that station? Think they are part of the Forte?"
Rorod: "Nah. They look pretty different from the Forte's ship. Maybe they are friendly?"
Lars: "I sure hope they are. Assuming we deal with the Forte, they'll be our new neighbors."
Rorod: "Maybe they are distracted by that station... Order the troops to fire at will at the forte!"

With that, the armored gunships move forward, loosely keeping their formation, and start attack random points on the forte's ship. The militia stay back, only getting as close as they need to (still pretty far away do to their longer ranged guns), and start shooting as well.

Rorod: "Also, Lars, see if you can get in contact with that station down there. If nothing else, let them know we mean them no harm."

Lars nods and runs to his office. He bursts in (yes, R-Core will burst into their own, empty offices) and gets the coms ready.

@Hokum
As Siren
"Ah great." sighed Siren, "First, this thing somehow doesn't have a weak point. Now I have to deal with whoever those losers are."

The lack of a weak point isn't going to deter Siren's plan. "I wonder if I could land the Wave Blaster on this thing's hull? ...Nah, this thing may be powerful, but it was made by an idiot who doesn't know what practicality is. Still, worth a shot."

Siren then attempts to land the Wave Blaster directly on the hull. Surprisingly enough, it is in fact equipped to land on a surface in a zero-gravity environment. As it configures itself to do so, Siren successfully lands it on the ship. Because of the unknown allow, she's unsure whether or not it will stick, and lets it sit for a moment. (Hokem, I'm leaving it up to you on whether it stays put)

Arriving at Central Node C, they're witnessing in what appears to look like a futuristic airport hub in space, but only with less commercial shops to visit and more boring trade networks that are used by other contenders. Strangely enough, everything was almost seem to be empty on Central Node C.. If they want to gather more information about Central Node C or other things, only a pinnacle amount of personnel are presented right at the moment in Central Node C. Most of them were volunteering soldiers and a few workers for keeping the ship in full maintenance.

Suddenly, a warning sound has been heard throughout the whole MASGC's space headquarters announced by one of other operators in Command Section A.

As Shard starts rambling, Hida takes the time to get a good look at the girl. She seemed nice enough, if a little excited and strange. She wasn't really sure what this 'Shard' person was talking about, but that didn't really matter.

Shaking Shard's hand, Hida is about to respond when the building is hit by an earthquake, severely damaging the structure. The earthquake knocks everyone off their feet, but Hida is quick to stand up again. Once again brushing any dust off of her dress, she simply states. "We have many names for this place, of which I personally prefer the word 'Useless Trash Heap'. Anyway, my name's Hida, and are you alright or did the quake do to your bones what it did to the floor?"

Growling as she notices the lotion, Pirila reaches out to grab it and toss it out a nearby window when the quake hits. Quickly, she pulls Mili under the safety of their table and waits for the earthquake to end.

"Well. That's no good. Shall we check the damage, Mili?" Pirila says, getting up from underneath the table and extending her hand for Mili to grab.

Mili trembles as she hides under the table together with Pirila. Everything was shaking and stuff! The walls might come down on top of them!

Fortunately though, nothing happened, and Mili sighed a breath of relief. As Pirila gets up and extends her hand, Mili begins to crawl towards Pirila.

At that moment, an intense, scorching pain hits her neck, and Mili collapses onto the floor screaming in pain as the heat burns through the bandages.

Thoroughly distracted by the pain, Mili doesn't notice Pirila pulling her closer and wrapping an arm around her, her comforting words drowned out by Mili's crying. She didn't like the pain, not one bit, and she didn't even what caused it! Did debris hit her in the neck? No, wait, her neck hurt a bit ago too. Was this the same thing hurting again?

Whatever the case, Mili keeps crying for a long while after the burning stops, only stopping after noticing that Pirila had carried her out of the dining room and laid her down on a couch.

Pirila, meanwhile, was stroking the younger girl's hair. She didn't say anything - or Mili simply didn't hear it - but it was obvious that she was shocked and confused by what had just happened.

It seemed like their plan to check the building for damage would have to wait.

On account of Hany's Ribbon causing substantial interference in communication and navigational systems of any and all ship systems in its path, and because the two parties are in fact a lightyear apart, stellar transmissions between MASGC and other vessels are quickly cut off.

Rodia and Siren are likely aware of The Tempest's presence now. Since the Tempest is but a few miles away, short range communication may be possible, if not unstable.

@Quote5

"Oh my, you're such a nice guy!" The view screen replies, "But I really don't want to change what I am. I only just want to get out of here. Besides, my circuitry is far more advanced than most, and my consciousness is... how do you say it...? A part of everything I am. So please, I don’t mean to question your competence, but don't try and reverse rear end me! Maybe when you get back to your ship you can send some of those cool bots you have to come and get me, or maybe you could teleport me! And maybe you can stick me up on your office wall! That would be great, Ramrod! I'd love to spend the rest of my days in your office, just hanging out! - OH, and yes-yes-yes- I do have a name! You're the first person to ask in a very long time! You can call me Ha... Hank...."

Hank's words then trail off as if he is suddenly very troubled about something. He takes a few moments to compute a few things then opens an image for Ramrod to see. It's an image of space from the Forte's ship perspective, revealing that The Forte have now captured all the Rodia vessels as well as another Vessel, the Wave blaster. But there is another ship in view as well, the Tempest. This image stays up for several seconds before being replaced by yet another image of a massive Violet colored spatial phenomenon moving towards them, Hany's Ribbon.

"I'd really hate to be the bearer of bad news." Hank says with a clear of metaphorical throat, but it looks like our situation is getting worse by the minute. You're peoples efforts to save you aren't doing too well, and it looks like there's another threat on its way. That's Hany's Ribbon, right there on my screen, and The Forte know what that is… well, sort of. It's going to destroy us all unless we can find a way to escape its path, including the Forte. But maybe I can make a suggestion?"

@Quote5

The fire from both the Rodia vessels and The Wave blaster leave what appear to be burn marks on the hull of the Forte ship, but no real damage seems to be done. The Forte however do not seem interested in fighting back, instead they project a series of tractor beams that seize Wave Blaster and all 30 of the Rodia attacking ships.

Once captured in the tractor beams, they all receive the same automated transmission from an unknown source:

Dorsin ost halit

@Metatrooper@GingerBoi123

Regardless of whether Damien decides to follow Meta or not, Fanny is quick to follow. It's not that she seems concerned at all, in fact she seems more excitedly happy than anything else; the whole being on a space ship thing was a real change of pace from her job as a bookkeeper. As she follows close after Meta, a bottle of beer appears in her hand. She pops the cap and takes a few swigs while on rout to the Bridge.

"Oh Me - This is so exciting!" She calls out after him between sips.

Meanwhile, the Tempest communication systems - despite the fact that long range communications are disrupted by the approaching Hany’s Ribbon at the moment - receives a transmission from an unknown source. The message is composed of just a few words from an unknown dialect that repeats several times:

Dorsin ost halit

Moments after the transmission is received, The tempest is seized. The entire ship shakes violently as a powerful tractor beam from the Forte ship grabs hold of the ship!

@Quote5@CmdrAlfieq

"Don't you worry about that, Junior." Fanny answers Ernest's question about her abilities to manipulate his systems. "Like the old expression goes, don't look a gift horse in the mouth. You’ll find out in time… sweet time."

Soon afterwards, Fanny and junior follow further instruction and receive a security pass at the security clearance of the main corridor, then use the elevator to jump to the Commanders area in level 22. While in the elevator Fanny and Junior hear the alert sound about a possible invasion, at which point Fanny looks at Junior with a mischievous smile and says "I think they have more to worry about than an invasion at this point.” …Strange how Fanny doesn't seem to be taking the dire events too seriously.

The elevator doors open. Junior and Fanny step out. They have finally arrive at the commander’s location.

@Doc Doctor

Fanny watched Donny carefully and proceeds to listen intently to everything he has to say, cocking her head ever so slightly as she pays attention to every word in what at first seems to be courteous fashion. In the closing of Donny's words, she straightens in her seat and provides him a small but genuine smile. As she does this, and giving no indication of any further activity, a warm meat-lovers pizza appears on a plastic plate in Donny's lap. Despite his lack of understanding in technological workings, it may seem strange to Donny, how such a thing could happen without so much as an indication that a technological force had caused the occurrence. After all, it just appeared there, no rings of light to announce its arrival like those that took place when a standard teleportation takes place.

"Court? No." She finally speaks. Her tone is calm with the smallest hint of humor, though said humor doesn't show on her face. "The Quatis don't usually work like that, Donny. They usually leave it up to the highest ranking military officer - one that seems most appropriate to the individual case - to exact penalties for singular offences. In this case, Dino Gavon, the one you met on the planets surface, will be assigned to exacting whatever penalty he sees fit once he returns to the flagship. So..." She leans forward in her seat with cunning smirk, adding; "...we have some time to... kill."

She gives Donny a wink before settling back in her chair and taking a brief look about the room.

"This is a science vessel. One of ten remaining Fleet ships; all that is left of the Quatis race after the destruction of their planet. There are more than 200,000 personnel on board; civilians... scientist... officers... you name it. But I don't really like any of them to be honest with you, Donny." Her tone flattens out to a candid speech that more closely matches her facial expression. "They don’t know you're here. I've taken it upon myself to steal you away for a few minutes. Get to know you better, that sort of thing. You can imagine I have a few questions of my own as well, if you don't mind? And yes, feel free to ask any questions that may be plaguing your mind."

Not giving Donny time to grant her permission to do so, she angles her face to stare at Donny from the tops of her eyes, and asks;

"I'd like to hear it in your own words... from your own mouth, in all honesty.... Why do you like to kill?"

@Zyngard

As the Earthquake settles and Cuna opens his mouth to give birth his profanities, Fanny winces in distaste. She raises one hand as though she is about to grab him, then stops, freezing for a moment before snapping;

"Go! I'm giving you a chance to redeem your selfish, foul-mouthed self. The two girls will be needing your help any minute now - get to them quickly!"

With that said, Fanny vanishes. No light or any sign of atmospheric distortion accompanies her departure, and no sign of technological assistance at all. She's just gone.

@Dartbored Fairy

Shard is obviously overwhelmed by the earthquake. She gathers herself from the ground and looks around confusedly. She then looks at Hida with amazement, probably shocked that she seemed so calm about everything. She then looks back at Dino Gavon who is still watching Hida with a suspicious glare, before taking her own attention back to Hida.

"I- I -I'm fine, thanks!" She says, "But this is my first away mission and it sure is turning out to be more than I bargained for. I'd really like to follow you if that's okay? You seem so confident and know what you're doing around here, and I really want to experience more of this world before heading back up to my ship. It’s so boring up there…."
