Joel Nicolosi

Joel plowed along northbound up the 923 Loop passing tractor-trailers crawling along the roadside with their hazards flashing and a plethora of other vehicles making parking spots out of the snow drifts the plows had built up along the sides of the highway. The Jeep’s faithful heater roared happily on its highest setting and it was cozy inside even as the cold wind beat against the soft-top. A couple of gusts hit the denim fabric like a sail, shaking the lightweight body, but they soldiered on, man and machine against the elements. Joel grinned a little. He hated snow, but driving in it was good fun and he had left it in two-wheel drive since leaving the shop just for the challenge. The big tires aggressive tread bit in hard and he hardly felt the frame drift at all over patches of compacted ice. The CB radio crackled as a truck driver a few miles ahead confirmed the ramp to University Boulevard was still open.

The weather was worsening significantly as he made his way to the intersection outside the University parking lot, nearly at a total white-out. Flashing yellow traffic signals were being ignored and traffic in general was becoming a free-for-all of red brake lights, confusion and blankets of snowfall. Deciding to relent on his fun challenge rather than deal with the madness, Joel reluctantly reached down for the four-wheel drive shifter and dropped the front differential into action turning off the street and making his own path over the snow embankment then up the small knoll that separated the main university parking from the street. Since he knew there would be little chance of anyone attempting to stop him, he made a fairly direct path over the campus, crossing over sidewalks, turning the wrong way up one-way avenues and generally making a mess of the landscaping underneath the snow.

Having enjoyed his bit of trailblazing, he pulled up on the curb outside the library and sent Sio a text as he mused briefly about the years passed when he last darkened the door of Solaris Universatas. What an idiotic name. He thought as he typed away on his phone. Staffed by total idiots, it fits.

I’m sittin outside, bring yo ass

Xia Alexander

Park view

@PrinceAlexus

After a few laughs about her cousin and speaking a little about the list of disney movies from Toy Story to Aladdin to Lion King to the Incredibles and Pinocchio, seemed both Marin and Xia had similar tastes in movies. It was nice to see Marin's humorous side. She didn't like being around a stick in the mud, not that Marin was one to begin with. She's just happy to see the girl open up and be casual.

Hehe well the ball room has me colored interested. If one of my uncles were to have a ball room, he'd turn it into a gamble house or possibly a fighting ball room. He tends to turn class into trash. And you're right...things will not be boring with me around. I think that's why we are cool together. You have a lot of drama shit come to you and I tend to liven things up around me. This calls for us to make a reality tv show. Or at least a Youtube channel... She mentioned.

Too cold for a lara Croft outfit? Trust me, you put that on, you'll heat the room up 5 times hotter. She winked to her. Finding old board games and a few other vintage trinkets and such made Xia pull out her phone to take a picture of them. I bet if you sold this stuff, you'll get a good price.

When it came to the food and about what forced them together and whether it was good or bad, Xia looked around. We are two sexy ass gals...it's a good thing but bad to our victims...and seems we do have the green like with Italian then!

Xia was curious on her answer about Marin ever having experienced being with another girl. Her answer did make Xia slightly chuckle by her response. It was fine if she didn't answer it but it amused Xia to guess that. Xia gave a salute about being on pasta duty. Yes Ma'am! and of course I wanna explore! That was going to be the meat of our curiosity in this place. She said while following and checking the different rooms feeling like she was more in a museum than in a house with the vintage stuff and then Greek styled designs and stuff. Was quite interesting. A few time Xia's teen chatters from the cold as she was in a blanket as well. Seh didn't mind going back to the warm area of the house and startd to make the quick pasta. Afterwards, she joined Marin again to start eating in another room.

While eating, Xia wondered if Marin would be offended by her question but seeing the girl willfully show her scar and say she'd share her story, Xia listened intently. From what she told Xia, the Island girl had a shocked look on her face. She placed her hand half way over her mouth from this story. It was shocking, saddening, and caused Xia to get a bit pissed about the situation and for the fact that Marin shared it, Xia's heart went out to her. Shit... She said in a saddened and soft tone. Sweet heart I'm so sorry that happened to you and for your world to have been shattered just like that. If he wasn't locked up, he probably would've been killed through revenge...damn..... Xia placed her food down and went to sit right next to her. I'm sorry to have made you relive your past again. If I ever ask anything that's just too hard to talk about, you can tell me you don't want to talk about it and I'll respect your request.

I think we can be friends and you are quite cute. You shared something personal and I'm willing to share anything about myself to you...if you want to be more than friends...we can be that. Just want to make sure you're comfy enough around me. My relationships in the past were not that great. I always had an anger issue and I used to fight boys all the time. My ex cheated on me a week after I lost my virginity to him and my dad was nearly paralyzed. He's the reason I do what I do... She said. And I also trust you...so...if you ever need anything from me...I'm here for you... She said before kissing Marin's cheek to reassure her and smirked. You don't have to worry about me getting angry with you. I'm a little more patient now and I don't want any strain between us...but also...I have a little secret too if you want to know about it as to my I hate my cousin...

Aoki was having a bit of trouble trying to calm herself with everyone around her. Fortunately, the woman that went to her side first offered a lit cigarette. Aoki nodded quickly and took it with shaky hands before taking a long drag from it. The familiar smell and taste calmed her nerves. After a few more drags, she was able to stand without the help of Milo and the other two women that had seemed to appear from nowhere.

"I-I think I'm fine now," Aoki said as she ran a shaky hand through her pale blue hair. While she was still visibly shaken and wary, she forced a smile for the three persons around her. "Just... Just an attack after almost being run over." She laughed nervously and looked at Milo. "It's fine; I'm not dead." She waved her free hand to dismiss any worry left around them.

Aoki was never good around confrontation, and she didn't want to start screaming "I'm going to sue you!" or "You asshole, you should be more careful!". The danger had passed already there was not a scratch on her person.

"Thank you for helping me up, and for the cigar." She smiled at the woman who had offered her one. "I really should have been more careful," she added, "I should have also left work when they told me." There was nothing that could be done now anyway. The accident had passed, and there was only right now to deal with. Maybe the whole ordeal would convince Milo or his apparent girlfriend to give her a ride home in their big trucks. While Aoki did not mind the snow at all, she was very keen on getting home to her cats.

Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

Park View . Late afternoon

Marinalia was laughing and enjoying talking about older kids movies, she had to see if Victoria could "aquire" a few others as she always seemed to. Where she got them was not somthing she asked, and anyway it would likely be too complicated or so. Victoria never chose a easy route.

least they know what thet want to do with one. I'm lost where to begin with one... Have to ask Grampa when I call him.. I'd like to host somthing. Its made for it...

Long as its not all bar fights and dodging Che Jabba. I might be a heiress but
I'm not that kind! Tease!

Laughing partly, she was not one to be a fan of being famous, or in the media. She was well known ernough as a heiress to a industrial company and was glad that the issues that plagued her dad whefe passed somewhat for now. They had a more up to date picture but she had kept a low profile.

5 times... I may... Have a rather... Intresting custom air hostess uniform too... A very skilled lady in London made it. Smiling at the pile and shaking her head at the idea of selling, with a a lite of the cheeky look from the previous comment. And deprive some future Olympus the adventure of finding it? Give it a few months this place be a propper home again.

Marinalia fudged the comment heavily and question and went a fraction shy, though that had the downside that her nature and self meant she only became more cute, espechily with her accent. The question was difficult. Never serious but add wine there had been a few bets, dares and overly affectionate drunk momments. Though now she was starting to think about the implications. She never had thought to deeply about it but now... The de ons compliment caught her a alittle off guard but soon recovered and calmed down abit from a little internal panic. that we are, i can do healthy, it might not be fancy though.

Heading down and leading her to the ball room and switching on the lights so to see it properly, it was a tad old fashioned but in a classic way with mostly lighter walls and ornate white plaster work, Polished wooden floors and gold and painted details a plenty. The main staircase and entry where floored in a marble pattern and everything had been restored to last another 100 years. The conservetory and garden would be lovely and the house would come to life by thr time summer hit with the bedrooms balconies. Breakfast on the balcony or in the garden with a coffee. It was a nice idea.

Joking badly before realising and going abit quiet, thr joke was not exactly well planned. Deciding to distract with food. let's head up, I might eat you if we delay lunch any more... Ummm.. So food yeah.

Cooking, Marlin was fairly quiet and made up a fairly healthy pasta sauce from a few basic ingredients. With a few extras like herbs and some cheese. That would make it a pretty filling extra and some mixed in suprising flavours. Not bad at all for a rush job with what left in the shops.

Heading upstairs with some drinks and food, the private living room was more comfortable with a large TV and x box one set up. With a large pile of DVD and blue rays, Disney, Pixar, a few chick flicks and a large game of thrones box set with multiple seasons spilled over the lower section among the games. Marlin knew where everything was even if it looked a tad messy. Firther back in thr darker bedroom due to snow on the panes and the winter storms gloom, the edge of the large bed was viable, a old fashioned but cute vintage dressing table and mirror set up glittering in the light. It was entirely set up for comfort and home to a rather good collection of blankets and other ways to defy the northern winters.

She was honest, and Xia did ask so well, curiosity did sometimes kill the cat, but it seemed Xia was more shocked than anything. It felt strange yo talk about it but she seemed to trust the carabian woman despite there breif meetings before. you can repair some things but the cracks will always show. fairly quiet, it was not the easiest subject but she held her accent. Though a alittle nerves tinged through ans she played abit with the what left of the pasta, being pretty hungry before having planned lunch at the sports centre. Oh, yeah... Well cooler heads prevailed. Marla and Grampa where very firm in reigning the guys. unsure how to react, she was quiet and her hand was shaking a alittle as the fork tingled against the bowl before putting down on table, her dark grey eyes where somewhat torn between the thoughts of well it would come out and wanting to Bury it forever. You where bound to ask... And i trust you for some reason. There's a few doors I want to remain locked away. Afterwards dad took me out of country for a while. That helped, Jordan, Egypt, Israel and Syria. Dad's... Employment is a alittle unconventional. Legal though.

Adding that bit at the end, she did not want to think he was some kind of drug dealer or so. Well to some he was worse, especially after the vitriol the press was spewing from there toxic rags for a short time. They had short.. Ish memories. Finding herself Suprised by the kiss on the cheek and a slightly shakey hand Holding xias, well it was already in unknown waters so hey, you had to sail keep sailing to find somewhere else to Dock. well, your pretty cute yourself, and Ummm not ruling it out. Just new waters for me. I've had a few knocks recently. Umm you could say similar... Just less angry, and more feeling like someone cursed me. This definitely had her unsure of where and what she wanted... But we'll it was not so... Bad... So maybe just go slow and see... If your comparing firsts. Well I liked my swim partner mutually ... And things where dancing about and all... Got close. I kinda forgot to lock a door changing out my swimsuit late after training. Let's just say... We found a few ways to celebrate winning not publicly apceptble. laughing at the story broke her nerves abit, well she was a different person once Marlin opened up to someone. That was a alittle, well alot naughty. They kept that one quiet to keep swimming together and no one seemed to ask why they had such a natural team work.

well, I'm sure things will work out if it's meant to be. it was the only answer she could think of, Xia already knew she trusted her by sheer fact she told the story, with a small shiver and covering her scarred stomach with t shirt and a blanket watching a another intense flurry hit home. A rather... Confused Marlin ended up nearly resting her head and long blonde hair on her shoulder before relising. Xia had managed to disarm her outer defences somewhat and calm down her inner turmoil. They where not exactly lacking after recent events including the possee of piss wits and criminals, a break up of sorts and so...

Only if your sure. Though I never betray a friend. We all have bad family... unsure what to use, well secrets, her family was a alittle odd, and unorthodox. Long as Xia did not mind a few people who where... Charceters. as of family... Well mines a alittle odd. My dad n mum are getting married after a complicated past, Marla had her moments, and my dad's... Well he made up for his mistakes with me. with relaxed look, they definitely where not leaving for a while as the snow fell thicker outside and was about half way up the first panes of the patio doors. Least that had not gone badly... umm. I think you be needing a bed tonight. This storms not exactly going away.

Raising a mug of rum upgraded hot chocolate to keep the cold away, or was making her a alittle... Well open about things too... With a slightly cute nervous ending. So to unconventional friendships... And maybe more? If the fates agree?

Gossip and who's HOT!

A special Interview from Rita!

Hello Sol Spills readers. Boy does this reporter have a treat for you!!! I was able to book that fab race car driver that you've all been buzzing about!!! Mr Joel Nicolosi. He's tall dark and handsome and after my interview possibly more mysterious!!! I'll let you decide...

Rita: What drew you to racing?

Joel: I don't know, it was my dad i guess. He always loved cars and I grew up learning from him. It's just something about it. Whether it's a quarter-mile or a full-on race. I feel alive, it's hard to describe, but if you could feel every cell in your body, like if they were all just electrified by your soul… That's what it's like. That's what draws me.

Rita: Why so much later in life?

Joel: Geez, you make me feel really old. I'm just 33! No, but seriously where I'm at now was never really β€˜the plan’, so to speak. I knew I could make a decent living fixing and tuning when I was a kid. All the old hands are retiring or dying out and there's just not a lot of interest in it from, I guess, β€˜young people’ this day in age. I know that sounds like an old person talking, but no one wants to get their hands dirty. Racing just came as an afterthought that took off. I got pretty lucky in that regard.

Rita: I'm told you built the entire car that you raced, is that true?

Joel: Heh, that car has been rebuilt at least three times, but yeah, I built most of it myself. The major components sanctioned by the FIA are uniform across the board for all cars, like the brakes, the transmission, the roll-cage and so on. You can't just buy those parts online or on the street. It's expensive and that's where you need sponsorships to get in the game. The steering wheel in that car costs more than the Jeep I drove here for this interview.

Rita: Do you plan on closing up shop and racing full time?

Joel: I wouldn't say I'm closing up shop, but since I signed with the team, I'm going to be around a lot less. I still have a couple projects going, but they're only things that I want to work on. I'm fortunate now that I can work as a hobby rather than a necessity.

Rita: So if you're not closing up shop are you still working on a project? If so what is it and who for if, you don't mind me asking?

Joel: I have my own GT-R that I brought back from Japan similar to the one I raced against in the Grand Prix and a late model Corvette that belongs to a friend in the shop right now. I'm actually running out of space.

Rita: Juggling a forte of yours? With the shop and racing are you going to find time for yourself?

Joel: If I'm doing what I want to be doing, then it's all time for myself.

Rita: Is the manager from the race going to be your team manager?

Joel: No, the team already has all that set up so I pretty much just have to show up and drive which is nice. Lou and my dad just kinda filled a needed function as far as managing our little β€˜team’. We all kinda managed it though, in a way, everyone did their part and we could all usually get along long enough to make things happen. I wouldn't call it a β€˜family business’, but that's what it felt like sometimes. I will miss working with all those guys.

Rita: Anyone special in your life, as a significant other?

Joel: I got a few irons in that fire, but I don't kiss and tell either.

He's just yummy isn't he? I wonder who those irons are? Well this reporter was curious and did some digging. Spoilers readers!!! He's been seen with Marinalia Olympus a flight instructor out at our airport, Sol International. A cool blonde with a British accent. But he's also been seen much more recently and frequently with Siobhan Murphy. A firey redhead that happens to be one of my favorites in the art world. She is very active in charities that deal with Sexual Assault Victims and Suicide Prevention since the age of eighteen. Personally I'm pulling for the redhead. Good luck ladies and may the odds be ever in your favor.

Raechel Ann Corvin

Currently at: Home/Swan Song
With: Noone in particular

Raechel watched the odd European woman leave with a forced smile and wave. "You two ladies be careful out there!" she called out as the doors slid closed behind them. Once they were gone and the store was empty once more Rae sighed in relief. Quickly she went back to preparing the animals for the long cold night before finally finding herself drifting off among them from exaustion.

***A few days later***

Rae Ann stretches as she steps back into her own apartment. She had seen so little of it the last five days coupled with the fact she has only been in the city a few weeks to begin with it was almost as if she were walking into a stranger's home. The plain walls and floor mixed with the sparse furniture and decor gave the place an empty feel especially afters 5 days of double shifts. The owner came in first thing Thursday morning with a truck load of fancy camping gear and essentially stayed with her the rest of the weekend. Very few of the other employees arrived for their shifts throughout the storm so Rae stayed using one of the cots that the owner had brought in the meantime.

By Monday however the main roads were clearing and he decided that with all the overtime she had put in that she needed to go home. "Take the week off." He told her. "You've earned it." Clapping her on the back he sent her home. Looking around she could tell by the blinking clock on her microwave that she had lost power at some point in the storm.

Stepping up to the fridge she sighed before pulling it open. There hadn't been much in it but what had been looked bad. The freezer luckily had already re frozen everything but judging by the ice cream power had been out a while. 'Oh well, meat and canned veggie stu it is.' filling a large pot with water she threw in all the meat in her freezer and several cans of varying vegetables. Tossing in some seasons she set the eye to its lowest setting and laid down for a nap.

By the next morning the sky looked clear. There was still a load of left oversee from the day before but shopping would need to be done. Rae was tired though, not for sleep but for soul. The week off ahead of her seemed full of magic especially as she gazed out at the sparkling white wonderland laid out beyond her window. Looking at her coffee table she spotted a flyer for a music club which she had applied to during her first few days. Looking it over she smiled dressed and locked up heading to the swan song.

She made it with only the minorest amount of fishtailing and a mild amount of heart palpitations. Rae Ann wasn't sure she would ever be comfortable driving in this kind of weather. Settling herself she ordered a warm drink and found a relatively secluded booth near one corner. Sliding in she pulled off her heavy coat setting it aside and opened a small paperback novel, relaxing.

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Light house, That's all folks, weekend to Tuesday morning . "Daughter of Persephone"

#DarkLust

Victoria slept rather well that night next to Ethen, they had champagne and well things happened, alot of rather pleasurable and fun things. A rather happily Suprised and somewhat achey Victoria woke up and could not find much to wear, ethen had the sheet so was forced to just go and grab her hand bag, some pain killers, clothes and headed to the bathroom for a quick shower after giving him a cheeky smile, well he made it so, he can be teased abit. Marinalia would be rather... Well she would notice her returning rather happy and in what she wore yestaday. She was not gonna reveal she was one teasing him walking naked to a shower, and left the door a alittle ajar.

They shared a quick breakfast which with the pain killer dulled the slight aches, though it was not entirely innocent. She relised well, the heat of momment gave a niggling thought but she rubbed her upper arm yeah, it would be fine. Definitely. They talked a alittle about it and we'll, it was a heated momment, they would be fine. It was not like she did this very often at all. A short drive back to her house once the snow cleared a extended goodbye by the gates later, the drive back had been abit hairy but Ethen seemed a fair driver with the 4x4 even if thry skidded abit.

After that pashionate goodbye with promises of more, and a rather long kiss a rather happy Victoria headed inside the gates, and made quixky inside, shushing a rather laughing and eye brow raised Marinalia who she pacified with a Later, I just want some fresh clothes and charge my phone. it was rather ineffective, but she ignored the comments and went straight upstairs, locking her door and finding something more comfortable, some ugh boots, a warm hood and other clothes.

...

That weekend was a strange one, she felt pretty cooped up as the storms seemed to come and go, luckily they kept power and there was plenty of firewood to keep them, and stocked up on food. Xia seemed a intresting person though Victoria was the slightly colder sister, slower to open up and with a darker sense of humour. She noticed her sister and Xia, well they seemed to get on well, Marlin was often slower trust though. One to ask about later. Though the team asking abit her rather... Fun night taking shelter did not seem to end.

That weekend, least they kept power as she still had a deadline on her side project, spending her enforced quiet weekend to sort out the details and so. The winter weather would cause a few delays at the ports. Codes, security and bank transfers. The fact half the city was screwed up did not help though thr basic infrastructure was often backed up and supported by alternative systems. Marinalia did nudge her out to take breaks and so knowing her habit of working to making her self worse.

Marlin did not ask too many questions and relaxed back happily in her plush leather office chair as the enter key kit up green and completed. A confirmation message, and the cargo was on its merry way to Russia. rather quietly given the situation so they had to bounce it about abit to keep it away from media or activist types. The small cut would help keep the sisters lifestyle, well nice and she had seen a rather nice pair of boots in centre Point... All was fine long as no asked too many questions. It was all legal, just not what you could call a every day side line.

...

That Tuesday a rather bad morning person Victoria woke up, popped a paracetamol and wandered into the ensuite for a extended drown in the shower to shake her groggy start before wandering down dressed and somewhat more human with tidy hair and light make up.

Bumping into a more awake Mario who already had a coffee advantage on her watching a Disney movie. [i]we gonna see Maria? It's... Strnage for me... [i] it was abit for her, she knew Maria but with the wedding coming up the normal felt abit... Strange. Up to you Vika, not sure what mum has planned. It's strange for all of us. things definitely had got complicated with in laws, step relations, weddings. The family was going through a rather rapid pace of change the younger generation where a alittle Suprised of, a wedding and a pregnancy where definitely not a normal few months.

Deciding she needed some fresh air. And with the main routes clear, Victoria had a odd feeling about somthing before pulling the coat, and winter gear she worse on her rather extended date. Texting Ethen a good morning and returning a joke he had started the previous night back at him, it was silly but fun. The snow was still on ground as she walked out into the cooler ground floor and opened up the garage. It was all main ish roads to museum, and long as she kept it careful the drive should be safe. Marlin might kill her then kill her ghost of she borrowed the discovery.

Slipping abit but managing to make it, Victoria found herself at the museum, after events, the music night sounded good but both sisters did not like idea of the venue. So she chose misuem, if Victoria was OK with it they already had planned to meet up for coffee and cake.

Wandering the long halls of Dhino Sol, a glittering caught her eye before she found the Easter gems, ornate blades and crowns of Kings and Lords long past. Even the delicate and rare gold work of Afghanistan, Persia and the exotic places of the world. After being cooped up all day, this defenitely was needed.

...

Maria Olympus

Storm day to cruising the city

Maria spent a rather pent up few days. Sure thr hotel was nice but it was that... A hotel not a home. Fluffy was better. And the tips she got at the pet store helped her bring her slightly willful freind under control and a alittle more dislapined.

She did get chance to talk to her daughters a alittle and when the Internet was allowing, the lag was bearable though. She had grown up before broadband was a thing.

Once the storm broke, she knew it would not be easy for the Sisters, Victoria had lost her true mother when she was young, and Marinalia was unsure about how the wedding would effect the whole dynamic. Things where definitely needed a chance to talk to her fine ladies she called family and have time to settle some doubts.

Heading out the hotel all dressed up for the storm, and Fluffy in a suitable transport, the heavy Bentley she hired turned out to be a 4 wheel traction and the massive engine chewed up the roads easily. A few near miss on side roads kept her from getting too cocky. Stopping off for some shopping and alittle morning seach for gifts totake home with her. Getting a text off Victoria as she sat grabbing a White Choclate mocha, extra shot, vanilla, cream and mini marshemmlows topped with some Choclate sprinkles. it was rather sweet, but thought she would try the concoction her oldest daughter seemed so fond of. That woman had a sweet tooth the size of a ice berg...

A message from Victoria soon distracted the golden blonde english lady as she sat in a slightly crowded Sol bucks. Thr museum was not far... If she wanted to, definitely would like to join her.

It had taken forty-five minutes rather than the usual half hour to reach Mount Atlas, the speed limit restrictions slowing traffic due to the possibility of lingering ice on the roads. Leo had finally managed to get some proper alone time with Dustynn it just meant they had to travel outside of the city to do so. Usually his car would be filled with the relaxing sounds of shredding guitars and machine gun like double bass peddling, but today he turned all control of the music to his companion. He had a wide range in taste regarding music but to hand over control of his cars stereo was almost unheard of in his social circle.

Unfortunately during the drive up Leo had to share some bad news with Dustynn. "I spoke to Steve earlier and it isn't good news. They put a warrant out for his arrest so he went and turned himself in to save any drama. He says they want to charge him and a few of the other security lads for dealing with that brawl in the club the other Friday. It's the same old story, people are ok to pick a fight but when they get some back they suddenly want the law to get involved." Leo had a very strong opinion about the claim culture of the US and it was one of the things he hated most about the country.

"Ultimately I don't know what's going to happen to them, but i've got a solid law firm looking into it and they are ready to post bail as and when it's allowed. There isn't much else I can do beyond that. The police have all the CCTV footage which covers pretty much everything. They have that batshit bird bottling someone on camera and also Steve throwing one of the rioters through a table." Leo gripped the steering wheel tightly. "I just hope he and the lads just get a bit of community service. People have gotten off with much worse." Leo sighed and loosened his grip.

The roads in the national park were alot more treacherous than on the main roads but not to the point that they were undriveable. Fortunately after the previous years snow Leo had decided to invest in winter tyres in October. At it's heaviest point during the blizzard there would have been no way Leo's GTR would have made it anywhere, fortunately the thaw had made it possible for him to get on the road. With the thaw came beautifully clear skies and as the pair exited the car outside the observatory they were treated to an evening sky full of stars. Leo paused for a moment as he looked upward, he loved everything about the wonder of space. Even the possibility that a rogue chunk of rock could end everything instantly created more wonder within him than it did fear. It provided him with perspective on life and everything that was important.

Bringing his gaze back down he shut the car door and put a large, overly fluffy Santa Claus hat onto his head. He looked over to Dusty with the silliest of smiles stretched across his face. Growing up every kid loved Christmas but as Leo left home he found himself less and less interested in the holiday. Being away from his family and having little in the way of friends meant he didn't have much to care for. More than anything it was a day off work and an excuse to stuff his face with food. Then two years ago he was walking through the center of the City and came across a homeless man. The man had donned a christmas hat and a hole filled Christmas jumper, even the freezing cold couldn't dampen his spirits. He belted out Christmas songs and Leo just sat there listening to him for an hour. Something about that reinvigorated the Christmas spirit within him and he found himself celebrating Christmas like a child once more...albeit with alcohol.

Leaning onto the roof of the car Leo spoke, "So what do you think?" It wasn't the typical location for a date for people his age, it was something far more cheesey. "With the weather there won't be many people here..." Looking around the desolate car park there was only one other car and it was owned by the lead astronomer. "...It'll mean we get free reign on the telescope. Unless you'd rather just take a walk and take it all in that way." Leo lost himself in the stars once more as he looked up, feeling a warmth take over him as they sparkled across the blackness of space.

Siobhan & Joel

Location: Apex Designs; Tuesday; 5 pm

Interaction: Each other

It was after the storm had passed leaving things like a winter wonderland. Siobhan packed a few things to keep boredom at bay over at the shop. So far she'd seen Joel take things apart and put them back together again and it was making her drowsy.

Siobhan had packed her sewing kit to work on her cosplay outfit for Maid Sama to wear next weekend at the Con that was a few towns over. She just had some minor adjustments to make but had to be sure. So as per normal she disappeared from the downstairs shop.

Coming back downstairs in the maid outfit, black thigh highs, and black lace up boots. Walking over to the fridge she opens it and takes out a Blue Moon. Looking up she catches Joel staring β€œWhat? Oh this!!! It's a cosplay outfit I'm working on. Well?” She waits for a few seconds. "Uh Joel? Anyways..." Siobhan pops open the Blue Moon and takes a long pull. "I have to do a couple of adjustments and it'll fit better." She looks over at him raises an eyebrow archly. "You sure you're okay?" A few more seconds go by then a half a minute. "Jesus Christ Joel! String words together even if it's something like we never landed on the moon." She narrows her eyes at him and downs the rest of the beer reaching for two more. Then walks over handing one to Joel.

Joel was thinking about how heavy a foot Siobhan was going to have on the throttle as he carefully adjusted the linkage between the pedal and the springs that controlled intake on the Corvette’s large V8. If she stomped it, as seemed to mostly be her custom, the car was going to come around on her every time and he hadn’t really taught her the art of countersteering against torque. Even though she paid him, he didn’t particularly want her to plant it into a wall the first time out, especially considering the amount of work he’d done. Still, it wouldn’t be anything he hadn’t seen before, but with her he felt more responsible. He heard a clack of steps descending behind him on the metal stairway that were not Sio’s usual sneakers and glanced up behind him. He started to turn back to his work, but couldn’t stop himself in the middle of an obvious double-take with the words what the fuck barely making it from his lips as he glanced over his shoulder.

He put his ratchet down and took the bottle from her hand allowing his eyes to continue glancing her over. If she was going to wear that get-up then he was going to enjoy looking at it. β€œLooks like it fits pretty good to me.” He said using a hand under his stained sweatshirt to pop the bottle top. β€œWe did land on the moon,” He said taking a drink and regaining his hold on reality, β€œBut the footage is fake... Why are you wearing that?”

"Making alterations. For the Con. Not paying attention must be a direct correlation to the shortness of the worn skirt. I also needed an opinion on it. So what do you think?” She gestured to the outfit.

β€œKind of a strange place for you to be modeling it ya know? This is a car shop.” He said stepping towards her and wiping his hands on a rag. She was slightly taller than him in her heels, but he didn’t care. He knew what she was doing. Always trying to be a tease. He thought to himself. β€œI’m just trying to do my job here,” He continued with a fake shrug of annoyance. β€œAnd you’re distracting me.”

β€œYou're distracted? Mr Hyper-Focus,” Siobhan made the gesture for blinders with her free hand. β€œis distracted by an outfit? I find that hard to believe. What I'd believe is that you were actually taking a break, just as I was, and heard me coming down to get a beer and decided to tease me about my outfit. That I'd believe.” Siobhan tilted her head considering her next words. β€œYou know I bring things here to work on. This,” She gestured to the outfit. β€œjust happens to be something that needed some attention. But if it's making you feel uncomfortable I'd hope that you'd be able to handle it enough to tell me. So before I go change to put the finishing touches on it I'd absolutely love an opinion on it. Distracting isn't much of an opinion.” She playfully and gently poked him in the chest. She'd come to feel very comfortable with Joel over the last few weeks, hence being able to invade his personal bubble. She had feelings for him but was at a loss as how to express them. She was afraid of being labeled as β€œjust a friend” since she didn't feel that way. Being pushy about it was the last thing she wanted and enjoyed spending time together. The discussions on just plain stupid conspiracy theories were fascinating as well as the much more believable ones. She wondered if speaking her mind about dating would be going to far. Sometimes he was hard to read.

Suddenly Jeff Foxworthy popped into her head. Talking about how guys weren't complicated β€œJust wanted a beer and see something nekid”. She couldn't help it she laughed softly. She bit her lip and tried to refocus and eyes still laughing and a bit breathlessly said,β€œSorry just thinking of how uncomplicated men were said to be by a comedian. So opinion on the outfit? Distracting doesn't count.” Siobhan playfully poked Joel gently again.

Joel smirked slyly and snorted a little at her retort. She may have surprised him, but he could tell when she was fishing for temptations. It was one of her prime MO’s. He also knew she had a habit of overplaying her hand and this was one of those times. β€œI’m not uncomfortable at all.” He said raising his eyebrows slightly in another, more casual survey of her ensemble. β€œYou look uncomfortable.” They were nearly face to face. Close enough that she hardly had to bend her arm to poke him in the chest- A playful action that he enjoyed immensely. Looking her in the eyes, he could feel his heart start to beat a little harder. He put one hand on her hip, feeling the fabric and her side against his fingers and leaned back slightly as if to make a real assessment of her work. She apparently spent some time on it and he didn’t know she also knew how to sew which was interesting. He wouldn’t give her the pleasure of saying what he wanted to say though, as she insisted on getting his β€œopinion”.

β€œOpinion?” He said giving her one last glance. Her blazing red hair and the incredible suggestiveness of her outfit did not make it easy, but he loved to flirt and she was always up for the mental joust which was one thing he liked about her most. β€œI don’t have one.” He said in a tone that made it painfully obvious that he did indeed have one and it probably wasn’t PG-rated. Taking a drink, he shrugged and turned around and went back to his work.

β€œBullshit.” Siobhan moved in front of Joel smoothly just as he was going back to work. They were close and her heart picked up speed. She could swear that he'd hear her heartbeat if he listened intently. Maybe if he didn't. β€œYour face says you have an opinion. I want to hear it. Unless you're afraid?”

β€œSee, now I'm startin’ to feel a little uncomfortable.” Joel said, continuing his mock apprehension and annoyance. They were near nose to nose. He ignored her persistence. β€œSo either do somethin’ or get out of my way.”

His challenge was all the opening she needed. She lifted her hands to his hair and threaded her fingers through it resting them on the nape of his neck idly playing with his hair. β€œSo I have this problem. I'd like to tell you that I'm attracted to you but I don't know if you're half as attracted to me as I am to you. Let me tell you about it. I tell you that I'm attracted to you not only physically but the way you think. I tell you that I like being friends but I'd like to be more. Then before you collect your thoughts I go back upstairs and go back to what I was doing leaving you with all that knowledge.” Siobhan smirked letting go and stepping back a little. β€œSo what do you think of that plan?”

Joel's arms wrapped around Sio’s waist before she could back away fully and pulled her back. β€œSounds like you were scared of being in the friend-zone.” He said coolly. Letting his eyes drift down slowly and then back up to her eyes. β€œYou know, you could have just said so, but I appreciate the presentation.” He smirked. They were even closer than before, nearly nose to nose and he could feel her breath and the beat of her heart pressed against him. Tilting his head slightly and kissing her lips was as natural as hitting the ball with the bat. β€œWhat was that you said about a plan?”

Siobhan looped her arms around Joel's neck as he pulled her back against him. Heart pounding and holding her breath. Only to have it rush out as he looked at her. Then he kissed her. The rightness of the action wasn't lost on her. β€œI forget. Pretty sure I'm still upstairs either day dreaming or asleep. I wonder what could convince me I'm not…” She tilted her head to the side and glanced at Joel from beneath her lashes.

Paige Kennedy

US Marshal Service Annex, City Hall - Morning

β€œDeputy Marshal Wen, did Deputy Kennedy tell you why she was looking into the Giancanas?” Special Agent Barrett of the FBI looked down his nose, over his heavy-framed glasses at Paige’s partner, Xi. The two of them, along with their direct superior, Chief Deputy, Art Sterling, had been playing host to the veteran FBI agent for about ten minutes after his unannounced arrival at City Hall.

β€œI imagine it’s because she’s working on a case.” Xi said with a slight shrug and a tone of feigned cluelessness.

β€œYou β€˜imagine’?” Barrett pushed his glasses back up and reached for a pen inside his crisply-pressed, black suit. He scribbled a few notes down on the small pad in his other hand. Xi rolled his eyes while Paige sighed and looked at her phone. Art looked on expressionless.

β€œSomewhere you need to be Deputy Kennedy?” He said turning his glance over to Paige. β€œI can assure you, I can keep you all in this room for a very long time if I feel like it.”

Paige crossed her arms indignantly, said nothing and looked away pivoting back and forth in her seat.

β€œYou know what?” Barrett said, observing the blonde, ponytailed Marshal’s annoyance. Being from the Bureau for decades, he hated how relaxed the dress-code was at some of the Marshal’s offices. They seemed to believe anything was acceptable as long that silver star would clip to it. Her jeans and leather jacket were a thumb in the eye of the tight-ship he ran at his home office back in Detroit and the little Converse sneakers she wore were too much for him to bear. β€œWhy don’t you tell me where you’re going after this? Since you seem so interested in what’s going on outside this room.”

β€œAre you kidding me?” Paige snapped with a raised eyebrow.

β€œDo I look like I’m kidding you?” Barrett shot back.

Paige recoiled slightly and glanced back at her Chief Deputy, She wasn’t sure whether or not she had to tell the FBI anything.

β€œPaige, just tell him where you’re going.” Art said unfolding his hands after a brief pause. He’d been in the game a long time, longer than Barrett, and he knew when to play chess instead of checkers. He also knew Paige wouldn’t like it, but for the time being, he could sacrifice a little bit of information to keep the Feds out of his office for a while longer. β€œAgent Barrett here has to get his asshole-fix in for the day and we just wanna make sure he gets his quota.” He thought better of it after the words came out, but sometimes he couldn’t help himself either.

β€œThat’s real amusing, Chief Deputy.” Barrett said cutting his glance back at Art who smiled cordially in return. β€œIt says a lot about the office you’re running here.”

β€œOld Sol Museum,” Paige said drawing the FBI’s attention back. She respected her Chief and picked up on the scheme he was playing. She knew Sio’s exhibit was being set up and she could use it as an excuse if she needed. β€œThat’s where I’m going.” She said flatly.

β€œAnd what are you doing there?”

β€œHey, I’ve got a question.” Art said, jumping back in. He could feel the turn coming in the conversation. β€œIf your agents are following Sammy and Nikki in their travels here, then you must be building a case against them.”

β€œOr you’re trying to protect them.” Xi said. He knew the game too and as an ex-Marine sniper, subtlety was not his strong point. He loved striking the nail firmly on the head.

β€œIf you got a case, Agent, why don’t you let us help you with it?” Art said. He put his hands behind his head and leaned back slightly in his chair. β€œMight be fun to be on the same side for a change.”

β€œYou know, all I need from you, Chief, and your deputies here, is to back off.” Barrett growled. β€œUnderstood?”

β€œWhy?” Paige asked. She could smell the blood in the water. β€œYou afraid I’m gonna tip them off?” She cut her eyes darkly at him and her tone was sharp enough to cut a steel plate: β€œOr is it because you got a leaky ship, Agent Barrett?”

β€œI’ve made myself clear.” Barrett said folding up his briefcase. He found himself unable to look back at Paige’s piercing green eyes. He shut the case firmly and walked out.

β€œMust be some sort of dick test that all the FBI agents have to pass.” Art said watching him walk away through the conference room glass to the elevator.

β€œHe’s just gonna try harder now.” Xi grumbled.

β€œYes, he is.” Art said with some exasperation. He rubbed a hand over his face and looked over at Paige who was still watching the agent walk away. β€œI didn’t think this was gonna result in a visit from the Feebs, Paige.”

β€œYou want me to back off, I’ll back off.” Paige said watching the elevator doors close.

Art sighed and shook his head. There was no way he was going to put her off the hunt, but the presence of the FBI in Sol City was going to significantly complicate his life and he was feeling too old for that kind of shit. β€œJust make sure whatever you’re doing is actually Marshal business.”

β€œYou were going to see old Mr. Santos, right?” Xi said slyly. The word on the street was that Sol City’s own made-man was scared shitless of a bigmouthed, lady-Marshal.

β€œYeah,” Paige said. Her mind was churning through the implications of the Special Agent’s visit, not just for her case against the gangsters, but for herself if they started digging against her and Milo. Her heart beat a little harder inside her chest thinking about him and the danger he could be in. She sighed and her bristled aura relaxed slightly. β€œI had an interesting conversation with someone who works at that club we pulled CT out of while we were snowed in.” She was still looking away even though the object of her ire was long gone. β€œI happen to know he’s at a private showing at the museum that I’m going to interrupt. Then I’m gonna bring him in and see what he has to say.”

------------

She didn’t tell the Chief or Xi, but as soon as she stepped out from City Hall towards the parking garage, she called Milo. The time she had hoped for during the winter storm hadn’t exactly panned out the way she wanted. Sure, they had fun. Aoki and Dusty were a riot, but it had only further delayed her want for his company. She’d never allowed herself to feel for anyone as she did for him and wondered if he really felt the same way. It felt like it, though in some of her thoughts she was jealous of Ana and how her and Milo so easily came together, like they were made for each other, a sword and its sheath, while she and Milo were more like gunpowder and lead. She waited for him to pick up as she walked, holding her jacket against the cold air and still squinting behind her sunglasses as the sunlight reflected against the mountains of piled snow. β€œHey,” She said as he picked up. He already knew the plan. β€œI’m headed down to the museum to pick up Elvin if you wanna come up now.”

Xia Alexander

Park View - Tuesday

@PrinceAlexus

One thing about this annoying storm that Xia could at least say, she's learned somethings about Marin along with Marin learning a little as well. From disney movies to playing board games to pass the time and eating what they were in the mood for, along with talking about fashion and Marin's profession. If anything, Xia tried to coach Marin into giving her a fashion show with her outfits.

Marin's family was interesting. Learning about her parentage situation along with Vika's and how Vika handles things. She sounded a little more difficult than Marin but then again, could have been vice versa. So far, Marin have been a trooper tolerating the Caribbean girl throughout the weekend. There were challenges though.

Xia ran out of clothes in her bag and was forced to use some of Marin's clothes...which would have left the slightly thick Caribbean girl with tight panties she was borrowing, leaving her with hella wedgies and shirts that looked a bit small on her. Don't get her started on the skirts and pants that she definitely could not wear. Her ass would not allow those bottoms to fit her. The underwear already was giving her a little challenge with a slight ass crack showing.

Regardless of these things, their weekend was nothing short of interesting. Xia never checked back in with her cousin and after their little heart to heart, Xia was not worried about getting closer to Marin. That was until Thurday night and Saturday, Marin learned about Xia's sleepwalking episodes. It was one of those nights Xia saw Marlin show off her top nude without thinking about Xia being there. Xia liked what she saw but one of the first nights, Xia was offered to sleep on the warmer bed but the Caribbean girl did not want to be a bother, rather wanting to take the sofa.

Xia one night got up, headed for the bed getting in it to snuggle up with Marlin, all during her sleep walking mode until the next morning laying there half naked with her friend. Of course, Xia had a few laughs about it and a few epic fails on the promise to not do it again. They lost power at one point, which led Xia back in bed with Marin until agreeing to simply just share for the rest of the time while they were stuck. Not to mention, Xia and Marin had a moment where they both were a bit exposed leading to other things sort of happening. Testing of waters as Xia and Marin would probably say. of course, they weren't going to go no further than that of what is comforting to Marin. Mostly that of kissing and a little fondling.

Learning how her family is and sharing a bit more about her situation where 2 of her cousins molested her, Xia never shared that with anyone before. This added fuel to the flame that Xia used to unleash on so many others. So far, they made it through the weekend with the power restored, and things clearing up. Soon they could go outside but Xia still had to deal with her kryptonite in the form of cold weather.

-------------------------------

Tuesday morning, Xia was up and messing with her phone, looking out to the window and soon heard Vika come home and looked over when the sister was passing through, leading Xia to get up and saying high with not much response but Xia paid it no mind. She was told about her by Marin and turned to Marin. Morning! Did you want me to cook breakfast? Possibly head out and maybe check on my place and my dumbass cousin or did you have plans today? She asked Marin. But if you want me to accompany you today, I'm down for that too...

Milo Ventri

Tuesday Morning
Sol City Athletic Center

Milo had decided that the best way to spend his morning was at the gym, the group that sparred there were decent enough people that he didn't mind the company as well as the match. This particular morning however proved to be quite dull, the after effects of the snow storm had left the gym quite empty as most were likely digging themselves out of their houses or just not wanting to go out in the slushy mess that was the streets, though a couple did still show. Milo almost felt bad some days for beating on the poor hipsters here in Sol but they seemed to enjoy practicing with him and they all got what they wanted out of it, some of the kids there even seemed like they had real potential, the kind he had once, long ago. After Milo finished up his exercise for the day, he showered off and gathered his gear, he had a strange feeling of someone watching him the entire time however, he just chocked it up to his heightened paranoia.

RING RING

Milo pulled out his phone and hit the answer button, "Milo speaking." His standard gruff greeting, though the tone changed a bit as Paige started to talk. "Is it that time already, alright, I need to head home a minute, I'm at the gym right now, don't think my sword is proper attire for a museum." he chuckled a bit as put his gear in the truck, "Give me a few minutes head start and I will meet you there, bye." and he hung up the phone as he got in the truck. Milo was able to barrel through the remnants of the storm quite easily and many cars were happy to stick behind him and follow the trails, as he got home however one of those cars was still behind him, As Milo got out of the truck the other person seemed to keep going but he was still wary now.

Milo changed into a nicer button down shirt and thin black vest, along with dark slacks, he did like to try and be presentable, even when the task at hand was something unsavory, however it was as he walked outside that things took a turn, a sharp stinging blow to the back of his head, someone grabbing the back of his collar, he could feel blood drip from the back of his head, though his sight was blurry. The next sensation was that of falling, until hitting the unbearable cold of the harbor, Milo reeled back and gasped for breath as the frigid water stole it from him, "Damnit Nikki, why with the special requests?" Milo felt hands on his neck and collar as he is pressed back into the water. "Drown the blacksmith, leave him in the harbor. Fucking cold as hell." Milo couldn't catch his breath for anything, and the man holding him down was strong, salt was beginning to lay heavy in his mouth as sea water tried to force into his lungs, his consciousness began to fade, but as he could feel himself starting to let go of his breath something took hold, that primal need to live, the desire to see the people he cares about, and the thought that if they were after him, then they were still after Paige. Milo grabbed the mans arms and wrenched him down into the water with him, his nearly frozen muscles were aching as he began to wrestle with the assailant.

Milo had couldn't feel his hands at this point, he could tell they were fists, but he could feel the impact when he swung, he could feel the man beneath him going limp, but stopping wasn't in the cards, Milo only could tell that if both of them stood up, then he wasn't safe. The trails of red were pulling out into the harbor at this point and Milo, exhausted and shaking, managed to pull the man from the water and into the shop, "How much did he promise?" Milo shouted at the man, but there was no response, "Don't clam up now that I kicked your ass, what other hits are on us?" still nothing, the man lay bloody and broken, seawater pooled with blood. "Hey, fuckin' wake up." Milo slapped the man across the face, but no response came. Milo stared, unsure of what to do, he tried to find a pulse, a heartbeat, a faint breath, nothing, the man was gone. Milo panicked a moment, he had just wanted to live, he didn't want anyone dead, but here he was with bloody hands and a body in his shop. He dialed the police as fast as he could and tried to explain what had happened, though soon the squads were there, and he was pressed into the squad car in handcuffs, not going to be a pleasant phone call soon.

Marinalia Romus Olympus "Mali"

Park View, Xia's and Swan songs music event . Late afternoon Thorsday to Tuesday

Marinalia definitely did not have a normal few days, the time with Xia and stuck at home was certainly a huge change for her. Not that she minded the time she spent with her new freind, and the company. It was nice to have someone to keep her from going insane from being stuck about. Being a pilot, well being grounded by anything was rather frustrating to say the least.

She had resisted the fashion show, despite she had a few intresting items in her wardrobe like the Laura croft and Air hostess, there was also a few rather long and fancy gowns, dresses and formal wear that Xia seemed to like the look of. Good job they did not share a size, or Xia would be trying it on! That mystery and so could wait to be revealed, though Marinalia was sure Xia had a sneaky peak a few times what was lined up in the walk in wardrobe.

She had talked and shared abit about her self to Xia, and her rather intresting family, including her half sister, Maria, Marla, the coming wedding and the more. She left out her godfather and fathers profession as international arms trade, but did not want to scare her off. That was not always a good one to bring up early. Maybe when she trusted her more.

Then it got, well Xia was not well packed and the storm lasted longer than they thought, plus there rush to escape the cold, well Xia only had her swim gear and few little things in her bag. She had a very different build to Xia so her skirts would not fit. She was less gifted in the tush, and more curvey but athletic build. She found a few things, including a hoody and other bits to try and help. Alas there was not many options. She had a few dresses that might but they where not exactly intended for this weather. More summer events.

It was later when things got.. Well more complicated for sure, the ensuite was off the living room and her half asleep whatever am self never remembered she was not alone tonight as Marinalia wandered by, her robe was on the bed post and then well. Xia, she well hiding was not a option so just nipped in the bathroom as normal before heading out. There was no undoing past and not like she was ashamed of her body. Curling back into her warm bed, least she was not naked. Small mercies. She made a offer of thr bed. It was not warm, and the heating was doing its best, Xia was not a native to this weather but it was turned down politely.

Then things got strange for her, one morning she woke up feeling a warm prescenc next to her, a feeling she had not felt in a while. A rather sheepish Marlin ended up finding out her sleeping walking was... Affectionate. A hand had found its wqys hear her heart to... It ended with good natured laughter and tried to keep it light. She was not as against it as she thought she would have been. Damn. This weekend was throwing her head in all manner of directions. Then the cold bit harder, power failed and despite prior agreement, well she seemed to end up there in the morning.. They might as well just share and apcept what happened. She tried to wear a robe or so but just rolled about the first night and soon discarded it, curling asleep as normal. It was hard to change habits especially living alone so much it did not matter what you wore in own home.

Xia was definitely a alittle more... Open than Marlin and the whole sharing thing lead to a little more than just sleeping, they where close, and a small kiss meant as a joke ended up a alittle more and with a alittle encouragement returned her affection. It was about as far as she was willing to go right now and grateful Xia was willing to be acomodating. Everythibg was so strange to Marlin and just hoped Xia would not take her nerves as some kind of total rejection. It was just new teritory. Though the cold winter storm made cuddling close up someone in bed a rather hard to resit idea, whixh as things bit deeper she did indulge.

One evening she had said goodnight to her sister who was working again, and with a slight raised eye brow, Victoria had ernough to tact to know her sister was happy, and seemed content so whoever or whatever caused it was fine by her. She had a rotten start to Sol, she deserved it. Sat brushing her long blonde hair before bed, it was a ritual that had began in childhood, and one she kept whenever she could as it helped her relax. The revaltion threw her off guard and stopped her little ritual nudging Xia to sit down. Cuddling her slightly after throwing a extra log on fire, she began to understand her a alittle more, why and honestly, felt like whatever done to her cousins was deserved 10 fold over.

It was a while after it relised both of them where a alittle more damaged under the surface than the outside world relised. She checked her weather before heading to bed, the airport was still closed to anything bar emergency and high priority flights. The flight school would not be open fora day or two even after they cleared things. Only a few students she would want to trust out with the potential of a relapse and white out flying. She had the experience and certification for risky conditions, they did not. Heading to bed, she joined Xia and in a move even that Suprised her a alittle made first move and wrapped a arm round her supportively.

Much as some had thought. She was not entirely without emotions, or empathy.

...

Tuesday mornings did roll around eventually to them, and the city was recovering and checking her laptop for updates before a quick shower and seeing Xia working in the kitchen. Alas whwn they lost power the three of them had to eat the ice cream, but that was no loss. Victoria passed by as normal, she was alittle colder but gave a small wave, her mind was on other things right now and had her own issues to deal with. Greeting her with a small hug, she opened up alittle to Xia the past few days. Morning, I'd love some pancakes if your willing. Coffee?

Il drive, works closed and you probbly want some clothes that fit. Plus we can see if your cousins devolved into a neanderthal.
pouring a pair of steaming hot mugs of coffee and wondering what to do, it had been pretty nice, but Marlin was feeling cooped up and watched one of the trails of aircraft in a gap in clouds sadly. Flying it seemed had taken to her soul, being grounded just felt wrong. no real plans but Ummm be nice to spend with you. If your not had too much that is stuck here. she remembered what she said, but no one with any sense would invite a person who... Into there home. Never?

Talking abit and making a quick list of things to pick up on the way back home, a unspoken little thing occurred. She kinda enjoyed the silly thing that forced them to share and become more comfortable. She liked her own space and time too but it was nice to in away to have someone... Even if it had no real description. Shaking the thought aside, and waiting for Xia she tossed her a better coat to borrow as she was not exactly clad for weather, of Marlin could face up to her fears and begin to open up, Xia could face the cold. i already warmed up the discovery, she was a alittle grumpy this morning. Rolling slowly out the gates, Marlin set the 4x4 modes and ranges down when she found the roads a little techerous still and kept things slower than normal concentrating on the road heavily and driving round the odd car over pavements and odd grass verge to avoid those that had been abandoned and slowed over waiting for there owners to return. Ummm much as, I kinda enjoyed this long weekend... Feel free to pop over. I kinda. Well it was nice. not quite having the words, she would miss Xia in a way, it was so surreal and miles from her normal life, but we'll. This past week, we'll she was happy once she got over the r suprise of being happy...

Making OK time, she arrived at the building Xia said was hers, and cut the engine after finding a place to park up nearby, the heater was on max and even had borrowed a extra coat off Marinalia but she still was cold. That had to be a woeld record. She headed up wanting to see how her cousin had survived now power had been restored. Thr building was abit similar in size to one she lived in old harbour. Her cousin had survived, well the apartment looked a mess, and had been living off tinned food or take out. Shaking her head at mess, she finaly met her cousin, who seemed to be a tad Suprised to see Xia with the smaller longer haired, and europeen blonde. Hey. Umm so you managed alright... Yeah, we did OK, roads are passable.

Pilot, no, I just met Xia at the Luna Sports... Looks like I'm buying after all... You where right, somehow take out was still working!
answering a few basic questions from her cousin until Xia came out and managed to change into somthing that would fit her properly. Marinalia was unsure what to make of her cousin and it seemed the same to him. The blonde woman with her dark slate grey eyes, and clear foreign accent was a different person to whom was expected.

Leaving a few minutes after Xia had set things straight, she played with her phone and sent her mum a message, they could meet after she had met Victoria and have chance to talk though there issues. It had been rather strange, especially which her cousin around, and she stayed closer to Xia when she returned. It was her home and family, so kept quiet while she was reacting to her cousins explanation of things, thr mess the place was in and so.

...

Leaving she was almost relived, her family was definitely passionate in the blood... Diffrent ways and personalities, they shared a few atrabutes. I just want to get out the house, if you want. There's some music event. Not sure where exactly, il have to follow the GPS. holding her hand a second, well Marlin was glad for the company, Xia had a way that seemed to counteract her slight rut she had ended up in.

Heading out and sticking to the main roads, slowly and carefully she angled one of her heaters to Xia, even then she still had found a blanket too... She really did hate the cold.. What they would have done if maelin had not offered? you are like a tropical House plant! I even angled a extra heater. And heated seats. It cannot be warmer without being on fire. laughing slightly, her expression dropped abit when she relised where she was and parked up in a very snowy car park crunching slowly in 4 wheel drive low range on the snow. A heavy machine must have shunted it all over to one side quickly to open it up or compacted what's left into a dirty, slightly icey but solid layer. Swan songs... She was here now, and as her family said. She had to face her ears eventually. The jerk where not there. The jerks where not there. Repeating that mentally gripping the steering wheel tightly before they headed inside, locking the white 4x4 that blended well with the snowy city.

Heading inside with Xia, a slightly shakey hand found its way slightly into Xias, after all past weekend she was not afraid to do that in public. Much more might take a alittle nudging out. Her comfort levels in private and public differed a alittle. Entmntering and seeing a woman sat quietly in corner among a few other patrons, a Taller carabian woman and the shorter English blonde, well they blended in well ernough, especially when everyone was more concerned about making sure you closed the door!

The woman in corner seemed to be minding her own business and in there own woeld like many other patroms just enjoying the music, and chance to get out the house after the winter storms. The only thing that might stand out was she looked very much similar just younger to the strange English lady with the German shepard from Thursday, mother and daughter not falling very far from the tree at all.

Walking over, ordering a coffee, Marinalia looked at stage and suppressed the urge to run, the memories came back but also forced them away with happier thoughts determined to prevent them deciding how she lived her future thanks to the therapists helps. She had sent her police therapist a rather large box of chocolates, wine and flowers gift set in gratitude. It was fairly basic but had a fair amount of sentiment behind it.

Tuesday Evening: Mount Atlas with Leo. @CaptainSully ❀ Mentions of #Betterlatethanpregnant @Pilatus@Rodiak@RoccanIronclad & Marcus @Zaxter996
Thursday had been an adventure, or a misadventure depending on how you felt about the situation. What happened in between running over Aoki and escaping the police with Paige and meeting Milo didn't matter as much as the comfort of slipping into a real bed that night. However, she would never forget those people for the rest of her life. Dustynn took the opportunity of her mom not being home to sleep in the midst of a real bedroom in her trailer home. The days went by as things slipped back into normal for the most part. The average work day came and went, Dustynn even found the sweatshirt in lost and found that she had begged Leo to keep safe.

Marcus had not been sacrificed for the greater good, and for that Dustynn was also thankful.

Tuesday however had been the day she had been waiting for. Leo had promised her that due to the storm clearing up that they would make tonight their night. Come hell or high water he would make it happen. Dawning a revealing but mature maroon low cut long sleeve shirt, black skinny jeans, black winter boots and her heavier leather jacket Dusty arrived at work and hustled away her entire shift.

Before leaving Club Aether, Dustynn went into the ladies room and dawned some dark maroon lipstick. Looking into the mirror she hoped it wasn't too dramatic, just a little fun for the trip to Mount Atlas, a place she had never stepped foot on. She dabbed at her lips with crumbled up paper towel to lessen the dramatics leaving a bit of color on her lips, but not as much as the first application. Waving to Marcus she winked at her co-worker friend. "Be good!" she called, leaving the establishment.

Hopping in Leo's car she put on her seat belt, the winter sun set long ago as they made a long trek up to the observation area. She didn't care if it had taken hours upon hours to reach the spot, she was just happy to be talking and enjoying her time with Leo without a customer grabbing for her attention. Dustynn played a softer rock station, and when the service became fuzzy she flipped the channels to any song she could sing to, sometimes even a playful duet.

"They'll see Steve's record and not bat an eye. Good people always get fucked over, and the people that need to be locked up forever are out strolling around and hitting people with bottles." Dusty commented, about their coworker. She hoped Steve would be fine, as well as the other men she worked with- but knowing that the law wasn't always on her side she could only just hope for the best.

"Fuck."

Dustynn said to herself as she remembered she had forgotten that today was the day her own mother was meant to make bail and be sent home. She hurriedly muted all notifications for her phone in case the woman would start to call and harass her. She could find her way home, she was a grown woman after all. A ping sat low in her stomach though, checking her messages real quick to see if an attempt had been made to reach her at all, yielding no results.

Reaching the observatory Dustynn was in awe. She couldn't wait to scramble outside of the car to take in the fresh air and really take in the site in front of her. "Holy shit this is amazing." Dustynn said, almost sheepishly as the words came from her mouth. It wasn't very lady like, but it was true. Turning to Leo, his head adorned with a Santa hat- Dustynn couldn't help but grin. "Oh Santa! I've been good this year, I promise." she claimed with a laugh, leaning in and giving him a tender kiss upon his lips. Words could not express how appreciative she was of Leo, and no matter what happened between them she would appreciate and remember this moment for years and years to come. Pulling away from the kiss she answered his question "It's great. Let's take a look at the telescope first, and then we can walk around until we're frozen." she interlaced her hands with his as they walked towards the building.

Dustynn had never been considered book smart. Clever and charming on occasion but never smart. The telescope was daunting when first seen, but became easy to understand as the head scientist enthusiastically talked about his treasured machinery as well as where to look to see what in Sol's night sky. Several times Dusty's dark eyes widened in excitement, looking to Leo to share in these new experiences.

After awhile the two traveled outside, "That was so..cool." Dustynn admitted, to Leo- she never thought this type of thing would be fun without getting drunk or high first but here she was enjoying it just fine. Though, she could use a cigarette she pushed away the craving and began to walk around the area with Leo, close enough to feed off one another's warmth.

Paige Kennedy

Old Sol Museum - Midday

Paige checked her phone again for the time and sighed in irritation. Milo was late. She hated when people were late and their time frame was a little sensitive. Double-parked behind Elvin’s stylish Bentley coupe, she leaned against her car and looked around for him finding no one other than regular foot traffic and the slow but steady movement of vehicles in the post-storm, sloshy mess of Sol’s streets. She brushed a few windblown blonde strands of hair from her face. Perhaps a pushy customer had delayed him, or even better, one with plenty of cash, she reasoned knowing people would fork over big dollars for his creations. She called once, but got no answer and left it at that, aware of how much he hated when people blew up his phone. Giving the lot one more glance, she resigned herself to taking care of business and went inside.

With the free exhibition hours having ended the sparse visitors dwindled down to only a few and it didn’t take long for the museum’s Curator, whose name Paige couldn’t remember, something… something, the image of a boxer came to mind…. She couldn’t remember and then it hit her all at once as he babbled on walking beside her across the soft carpet of the main lobby. Ali. That was it. Dr. Ali. He was a tad snooty and liked to talk about how important his job was and that Elvin Santos was a regular and a very honored guest. He didn’t want a scene. Paige paid him little attention and caught the unnerved look on his face when she adjusted the gun hanging on her hip slightly. Her mind moving from a feeling of surprise at the visit from the FBI agent to all around irritation.

Irritation was the right word and as she bottled it up, it always seemed to come in waves, like she had just about reached capacity for the amount of shit she was going to take at any given time. She felt much like she did before she and Milo had gone out before. Tired of self-important assholes, tired of bureaucracy, tired of having her plans wrecked intentionally or not, tired of the cold, tired of people being late. He wasn’t around to diffuse her this time and the scene that met her as she rounded a corner through a long corridor lined with paintings was going to be the last fuckup she was willing to tolerate for the day.

Leading Elvin out with his hands bound behind his back was a black jacketed, crew-cut, FBI agent.

β€œAh, Marshal Kennedy!” Elvin pronounced with some of his usual bravado. β€œIf you were coming down here anyway, why send the FBI to interrupt my private gallery?”

Paige’s glance narrowed further, but one eyebrow arched slightly quizzically. She stopped in their path along with Dr. Ali who seemed to be at a loss for words. β€œWhat’s going on here?”

β€œWhat’s it look like?” The agent said sternly. He was tall and well built and spoke with a gruff monotone. His presence seemed more like a soldier than an officer of the law.

β€œDid Barrett send you?” Paige asked, unintimidated.

β€œWell, he’s the boss, isn’t he?” The man replied.

Paige put one hand on her hip and turned back a short glance at the way they had come in then back at the pair in front of her. In spite of her annoyance she was genuinely perplexed. β€œI just saw him not fifteen minutes ago and he didn’t mention anything.”

β€œWell, maybe he figured it wasn’t any of your concern.”

β€œExcept I told him specifically that I was coming here.” She looked around the room briefly at the paintings, but not focusing on anything particular before shaking her head and waving one hand to clear the air to possibly dispel some of her frustration. β€œI’m sorry, we haven’t met, I’m Deputy US Marshal Paige Kennedy.”

β€œWith all due respect…”

β€œOkay, just hold up.” Paige held up one finger towards the man and then motioned it over towards one of the paintings. β€œIs that one of Siobhan Murphy’s paintings?”

Dr. Ali perked up some from his shocked trance. β€œWhy, yes. Yes it is!” He said with some astonishment adjusting his glasses. β€œHow did you know that?”

β€œShe’s a friend.” Paige replied.

β€œI’m not surprised you have exquisite tastes, Marshal Kennedy.” Elvin added coyly. β€œYou know, you are my favorite Federal Agent.”

β€œMa’am…” The FBI agent attempted to interject.

β€œElvin, you have a silver tongue.” Paige said with a slight smirk.

β€œMa’am,” The Agent’s voice was firm breaking in, nearly forceful. β€œI’m gonna need you to step out of the way now.”

β€œOkay, hold on,” Paige rubbed one hand over her face, brushed her hair aside again and placed it firmly back on her hip. Her green irises met his firmly. β€œMaybe I’m just having one hell of a day... but did you just give me an order?”

Elvin’s sheepish grin quickly dropped into a look of horrid disbelief at the man standing behind him.

The voice was firm and clear. He spoke directly at her like an insolent child: β€œIf you don’t move- I’m gonna shoot you.”

The roar of fire came raging through her eyes back at him. Her lips curled and she stood her ground defiantly. He went for his gun first, but to his shock, she had already drawn and fired twice before he barely cleared his holster. He fell away with the impact of the rounds firing wildly in the air. Elvin cursed ducking away and Dr. Ali screamed like a panicked schoolgirl at the rapid exchange and the loud snap of gunfire. Paige leveled her sights and put two more in him before he could hit the floor. The body collapsed like a ragdoll and she lowered her gun with clear shock on her face at what she had done. β€œHoly shit, I hope I got that right…” She said to herself, nearly whispering.

Walking over to the body, she holstered her pistol and kicked the man’s gun aside. Her phone vibrated in her back pocket as she looked down. There was a missed call from Xi and a text:

Call me asap

Her brief distraction was interrupted by a wail of pain from Dr. Ali. She glanced over with a sudden tightness in her stomach thinking he’d been shot, but instead finding him draped over one of Siobhan’s paintings that newly showcased two large bullet holes. β€œLook at what you've done!” He cried not seeming the least bit concerned with the body bleeding out on the floor. Paige sighed with some relief. There were two more holes in the wall from the errant shots. One appeared to have taken a chunk out of the ornate plaster and there were chunks of white dust falling to the floor. Elvin dusted himself off and looked at the body. β€œChrist almighty… was he really FBI?”

Paige dialed 911.

Victoria Darya Romus "Vika"

Light house, That's all folks, weekend to Tuesday morning, outside Old Sol museum (edited) . "Daughter of Persephone"

Victoria wandered past the range of ornate and priceless gems, crowns and golden masterpieces of the East, she was walking slowly down past a large display of blades and jewelled muskets, ornate and master works but deadly at the same time. A small thought back, Milo might thr look of a few of these. A few minutes taking chance to sit down as despite the near miracle recovery, we'll she was not going to running a sprint may time soon. Not without tiring or face planting, taking it easy was needed. The doctors where rather firm on the fact she could make herself worse if Victoria pushed too hard, or tried too much at once.

Walking slowly down a large stone staircase, taking it easy and with one hand for support heading down to see what was on the lower floor of the museum and see what kind of exhibition was advertised downstairs. She had vaguely read the signs as came in and mainly stuck to Dhino Sol and the Eastern weapons section, art was not always her thing. Texting Maria to meet up and chat, there where a few things they needed to clear the air on and also a few things she needed to be reassured of. The situation with the marriage was more complicated than for Marilania as it was just parents, and not step situation. She was genuinely happy for Maria and Vesarian that they finally after some 27 years on and off where happy together.

Glancing at a sign the art gallery was nearby, she was feeling a alittle strange so stopped for a second, it was pretty normal for her to have little moments, so paused for 30 seconds as it passed. Maybe it was a medicine or just a little blip. When she made her way near passing a ornate Hall with a grand chandler next to the gallery room, everything about thr building seemed to have been designed as a Palace not a museum. Seeing a blonde haired woman who looked vaguely familiar walking past the door, and voices, it was too echoey and the acoustics did not allow you to hear though the next one was far more aidable though out thr galleries.

Then Sol city drama came for the sisters Romus onc more, a serris of loud gunshots, they where definitely close. The acrid scent of cordite was a smell she knew but seemed stronger than she remembered, whoever it was definitely was not firing nerf rounds. A second scent met her as she began to switch into a panic, a sickly, Metalic scent that could only be blood. Blood was not normal this intense. That was real. Too long in hospitals meant it was one Victoria knew of quite well. Panic was soon replaced by her fathers lessons, run, if you cannot get safe. Remembering thr map, there where a few what could be employee zones but all had swipe cards locks, nothing she couldn't hack into would a tool kit, alas the mythical woman's handbag did not extend to a portable computer and set of eletrical tools. Plus she did not want to quite let the world know how skilled she was at breaking security as making it unless she had to.

Spotting a computer controlled exit or cargo door. that would work, the shouts around where growing and she likely would be trampled taking that exit right now. Smart, time to makw her own. Forcing her shakey hands to work, and with a deft serris of commands, luckily people forgot to patch and never updated XP. That made it easier. With a few more lines of code on a old backdoor that was meant for system maitience she gained access and tapped away bypassing the basic password in 30 seconds flat. Password down, there was no more gunfire but that was no indication she was safe. Disengaging the lock was easy, no one expected you to attack a system from the inside... Though as it seemed clam she covered her tracks, setting the computer to do a bunch of things your not meant to do. Given 10 or so minutes it would a useless paper weight as it ravaged its own software and hardware was driven to breaking points. Smashing it would be quicker... But that made noise. And there was a potential threat roaming the halls.

Making it out the door, before quietly shutting it nearly skidding on ice, obviously no one had used the Dock since before the storm, the gate below was ajar luckily. Someone obviously got sick of clearing snow so they just left it. Thank god for lazy people. Adrenaline bringing thr drain, she ended up relying on the walking stick for support. The shock of finding a exit was not exactly helpful. There had been a fire exit, but it could have been barricaded. Walking outside to see a growing crowd outside, the visitors still streaming out and the sound and light of sirens in the other direction. Whatever this was not gonna be cleared up and open again by the afternoon!

Stopped by a police officer, Victoria's ability to suppress her fear have way completly and emotions flooded out the dams that had been holding them back, and adrenaline that had been driving her to fuction and quickly work out the exit. Slumping onto a concrete planter, she explained how she used a side door, not sure what what was going on and only wanting to escape by any exit possible. Slumped on the planter, Victoria made a rather scared call to Maria telling her stay clear of the museum, gunshots and blood. It took a few times for Maria to be conveshe was safe as sirens echoed in the background and the city emergency reponse descended like a swarm of high vi's and multi coloured ants. Maria would not be getting there, but she would definitely be trying... Though it would be a good idea! Depending on what happened. Her car might be stuck for a while!

Refusing medical aid, she was not hurt just shaken up, and merely took a foil blanket for warmth. She needed time not treatment.

A woman caught her eye, or was it memory. The two where pretty confused overwhelmed by the events. Her dad's lessons had helped her remain clam at the time. The emotions where not gone though, you always had to deal. With the aftermath. Intresting hair stuck out, or was strange what you remembered in a panic. Some things blurred like little things like hair colour where vivid as anything. Had she seen her before. It was a big city but somehow certain people just kept cropping up... It was a very small world...

A shaking hand tried to message Marinalia she was safe but it looked like a mixture of letters that might make a word. If you where drunk, and took several tries to get it right. Of thr museum wanted a new computer fine. But gunfire was definitely was reason to use her alternative skills.

...

Swearing at the news and the phone call, Maria left what was left of her coffee, grabbing her keys before reaching the Bentley and feeling a small relief as the powerful engine roared to life. Step daughter or biological, family was what mattered.

Paige Kennedy

US Marshal Service Annex - City Hall - Hours Later

β€œPaige, I just want you to know I was almost certain you weren't a cop killer.” Art, her Chief Deputy, said sarcastically as they took the elevator up to the Marshal Service office space.

β€œAlmost.” Paige replied. Any other time she would have smirked slyly at the confirmation of her instincts.

Art laughed, β€œI wonder where he got that jacket.”

β€œProbably stole it from the dry-cleaners.” Paige said crossing her arms and looking ahead at the metal doors as they ascended. β€œAny idea who he was?”

β€œNo I.D. yet, but I'll bet my next check he came from Detroit.” Art said.

β€œHow hard was it getting him up here?” Paige asked, changing the subject.

β€œOh, not hard at all,” Art replied. He glanced over at her from the corner of his eye, but she showed no emotion. In the course of his long career he'd mentored many young deputies with all manner of quirks and habits, though Paige was different and often hard to figure. She wanted trust, but gave little. She wanted friends, but often pissed people off. Still, she was a damn sight sharper than the rest of his staff and had a natural instinct that couldn't be taught. In the few weeks she worked in his office he only observed two real weaknesses that concerned him: her big mouth and the man presently occupying his conference room. β€œXi was in the area and picked him up, got him some fresh clothes.”

The elevator doors parted and he looked for any reaction on her face as he spoke. He knew that she was aware he was looking and kept her emotions hidden. From the elevator the view across the office to the conference room was clear to where Milo stood, still handcuffed. Paige started away, but Art grabbed her firmly by the shoulder. For a second, he could see it, the caged emotions hidden behind her face and the glare in her eyes. He held the handcuff keys in front of her and dropped them into her open hand. β€œTake all the time you need. I’ll be in my office.”

Paige strode across the office. She could feel the eyes of the other deputies and the site staff on her as she walked unable to hide the increase in her pace as she got closer, almost to a jog as she reached for the door. Everyone knew the relationship she had with Milo. They had told her the story of what happened and what SCPD passed along. None of it mattered though. He was alive. ALIVE! A voice in her mind shouted it above all others. She closed the door behind her quietly and looked at him in the eyes, instantly biting on her lip in a pitiful attempt to keep control of the urge to breakdown in the knowledge that she had just nearly lost him. Everything she bottled up was bursting at the seams in her mind like a pressure cooker. Her eyes were welling up. She wanted to cry just because it felt like it would feel good to just let it all out and the urge was beginning to overcome her senses of pride and reason. She forgot about unlocking the cuffed hands in front of him and just fell into his chest gripping him tightly and turning her head, burying the side of her face into his shirt, too embarrassed to let him see her shed a tear, but unwilling to let go of him.

Tuesday Morning

Aoki started her morning with tears and lots of cuddles from Sotnos and Sakura while Luci mewed loudly to make sure that Aoki knew that it was almost breakfast. The day the storm hit had not been something that Aoki had planned. From her being stuck in the bus station for what seemed forever to where she almost lost her life, she was not in an excellent mood. Hopefully, today would be a different story from the past day.

After feeding the cats, Aoki hopped into the shower to scrub away the dry tears from her cheeks and the cold. She made sure not to wet her hair since she had an appointment later that day to dye it again. Pale blue wasn't something she would come back to in a long while. Or ever. No, she would definitely come back to pale blue, but not for a while. She was still quite shaken from the near-death experience, but she was trying her best not to think about it.

Looking past the whole ordeal, Monday night had been something wild and unexpectantly fun. Paige and Dustynn had been rather good drinking companions, but she couldn't shake off the feelings that Paige and Milo had wanted to spend some time together. Either way, at least that day hadn't been all bad.

A quick breakfast after Aoki threw on some warm leggings and a dress along with leather heel boots. Ashton's leather jacket had been hung in her closet and Aoki slipped it on without hesitations. A red plaid scarf and a wide brim hat later she hurried out of her apartment to her appointment in the salon.

Later

After some pampering from her hairdresser and some serious girl talk, Aoki left the salon with a smile on her face. Aoki had decided to go grey and purple this time and Maria, her hairdresser, happily complied.

On her way to work, Aoki sketched out a few people riding on the bus along with her on the bus. A few of them caught her staring at them, but she just shot them a smile and continued to sketch like nothing was going on. Twenty minutes later Aoki arrived at the Old Sol Museum where she clocked in and retired to her small studio. A few hours passed before Doctor Ali came in and informed her that he would be in the new exhibition that had opened and he wanted her to join him in a few minutes. Aoki agreed to it, happy that she would have some time to stretch out her legs and take a look at the new artwork.

The exhibition had been announced in the news, so Aoki was not surprised to see large crowds of people walking the halls of the Old Sol Museum. It was somewhat refreshing to see so many people interested in art. Siobhan Murphy was a talented artist, one that Aoki would hope to see with the VIP ticket Doctor Ali had given her before walking from the studios to the museum halls.

Aoki's footsteps disappeared into the sea of people talking and observing the artwork. It almost seemed peaceful and fun, until gunshots rang through the old halls of the building. Everyone around her began to scream and run all around her. Aoki wiped her head back to the source of the gunshots. There laid a man and stood a woman with familiar blonde hair. Doctor Ali was near her, but Aoki couldn't quite see who the woman was.

It didn't matter. Aoki's feet were carrying her out of the halls an on to the museum's courtyard.

While in the salon Aoki sent a text to Ashton...
"Hey! It's Aoki! Marinalia gave me your number, and I wanted to thank you for taking care of me.
I still don't remember much but I know I have your jacket. I would like to give it back to you.
Would you like to go out for some coffee and I could give you back your jacket back! c:"

The telescope experience in the observatory had been enjoyable, even if Leo had managed to talk his way through the entire thing with absolutely no knowledge of the night sky. Even so, it was about the company and there was nobody he would rather be with at that moment. As they walked Leo put his Santa hat back on before putting his arm around Dustynn. It wasn't a conscious decision but a natural reaction to the moment. He felt a closeness to her that had been missing from his life and the past couple of hours had reinforced that to him. He could feel her body heat even through their multiple layers of clothing.

"I'm glad you enjoyed it. It was something I always wanted to do and just thought it was a bit...different. We could have just gone to the cinema and gotten some food or gotten drunk." He paused for a moment realising his mistake and laughed. "Don't get me wrong, I love to get drunk as much as the next person...I just wanted to do something with you that wasn't totally cliche. Unfortunately things are likely to end up cliche as shit from this point onward." He turned down to Dustynn and smiled. The pair were walking down a snow covered path flanked by trees and streetlights. "I mean look at this path, it's clearly like something a romance movie. I can see it now, you'll slip, i'll land ontop of you, brief pause and then boom...kiss."

Unfortunately for Leo his prediction hat wasn't quite working right. With his next step the world began to spin and twist before finally becoming still. He found himself looking upwards at the night sky between the bare branches of the flanking trees. He could see Dustynn lean over to look down at him, his embarassment meant he decided to stay lying in the snow. He began to laugh to himself before looking directly at her. "Right...get the laughter out of the way, you know you want to." His voice was as sarcastic as the expression on his face as he waited for Dustynn to laugh at what could only be the workings of sods law.
