Heads up there likely won't be too many updates from here on out as I'm currently working on the very stylised background, which won't really look very good until the end stages of it. Then I'll be doing some touch ups on Aerabella. For now I'm just trucking away slowly ;p But Aerebella herself *should* be pretty much almost done.

Here is (probably) the last update for a while. Hopefully it will give you some idea of what the piece will look like towards the end. The last update I linked doesn't really give a good idea of the background elements:

EDIT: lol, had a minor panic the other day when I was like - wait, Aerebella probably wouldn't leave books lying around like this would she?! Buuut I designed the composition like that from day one and didn't think of it sooner... so the books are just gonna be symbolic of her love of reading. Or she's just happened to find a very messy library... it's not her fault, I swear!

I'm likely going to start up one of the smaller portraits while I work on the background for Aerebella if that's alright @Light the Dark. I think it'll be easiest if I work on one background element a day with the exception of weekends. Backgrounds tend to take me a lot more mental effort while I'm still learning. I am so sorry it's taking me a year to finish this piece ><

@Majoras End I think we talked about Ali possibly having a portrait/bust shot type picture? @Shylarah or @Aceofreality's characters also work for this. @Feyblue's character as well although I would really like to give you a fullbody picture as you have been one of the people patiently waiting the longest.

I swear, I will get around to completing all the pictures due in this thread, even if it takes me forever, guys. 2018 went in a very different direction then expected and I plan on making up for it :p

Personally, I'd love to see a full body picture of Fragment, although her aesthetic's a bit all over the place so designing her entire appearance might be a tad difficult, so I'd understand if you wanted to just do an upper body portrait or the like.

Speaking of her, I checked back and it looks like a lot of the images I linked as references for specific traits have had their links die. Did you save them for reference back when I first posted them, or should I go dig up new ones?

@Mae Aww, you're still planning on drawing things? Oh gods, my references are so old half of them are not where they were anymore! I'm honestly fine with whatever inspires you, but I should probably give you updated links. *flails around* Let me know who you need when you're ready for them, and I'll get them updated for you...though I think I fixed them all.

@Feyblue I still want to do a full body of Fragment. I've tried to sketch her alot of times but it's been quite disastrous as I'm not very good with a minimalistic oriental-vibe style xD. I think I will probably do some mini portraits of all the characters still in the list while working on one full body at a time. The portraits are alot quicker by comparison and I'm practising portraits as well anyway.

So I'm looking through my old drive and I swear I remember downloading the references, but they aren't in the file I expected. So I either a) derped horribly and didn't download them (*most likely ><) or b) saved them in a very obscure place which I'm now searching for. If you have any of the references still (particularly the hair one?) it would be a huge help to have them. And any new ones you might of accumilated since you origionally put in the request.

I think I'll probably update the first post soon with more information about like, difficulty of pieces ect. I know WhiteWeddings/Nefertari's piece and Odin's commissions will be some of the more challenging ones (e.g. renaissance style) for me so I'll probably be leaving them till last.
