The character I had in mind is a bit of an odd one. I guess it'd be easiest to call her a nature spirit, but due to being created incomplete, she's missing parts of herself. As such, although one side of her body looks human, the other half is just kind of shriveled and ruined, covered in seemingly empty black "voids" crisscrossing it like cracks across her flesh. Think sort of like
Hanako from Katawa Shoujo, but with weird "voids" instead of burn scars.
She usually wears rather concealing garments like robes and such, so they're not really very visible. Wherever they might be seen, she usually covers them with bandages, so since that'd probably be easier than portal-like holes in her skin, it might be easier to do that instead. The part of her face that's scarred is usually covered by a half-mask with only a tiny slit rather than a full-blown eye hole, with perhaps some kind of spooky glow or fog beneath in lieu of an eye. After all, that part of her face is missing.
Her hair is black, and her visible eye should be a pale blue - kinda like
this color. She's also fairly pale and kinda tired-looking, so an overall sort of expression - or what you can see of it - that might be good for her would be something like
this lady here. Stature-wise, she's probably of average height, maybe a little on the taller side.
For hairstyle, something
like this would be nice, with short hair that's longer on the sides, and a
long, thin ponytail in the back. For her personality, she's very quiet and demure. She's an incredible perfectionist, as being incomplete herself has made her loathe leaving anything she attempts unfinished. It also doesn't help that she's obsessed with being of use to other people, as to vindicate herself despite her imperfect nature. As such, she's a bit of a doormat, taking any criticism very personally, and being unable to say no when someone asks her to do something. She's also very socially awkward and thus a bit of a shut-in, as she tends to avoid contact with other people if at all possible, largely due to her "scars" and her somewhat terrifying true appearance, which she tries her best to hide. She doesn't trust other people easily, largely because she's not used to receiving any kind of praise or assistance, and thus finds it unfathomably strange that anyone would willingly choose to be near her despite her monstrous deformity. In conclusion, she's a shy little precious cinnamon roll with a lot of problems, but who internalizes them and doesn't open up to anyone easily.
As a final reference for her general overall aesthetic, something like
this would be good as an inspiration - albeit with more of a softer blue color palette than that harsher red. For accessories, either jewelry or a little more nature-y kinds of ornaments like feathers or such would be best, if you want to add any.
Sorry if this is a bit scatterbrained. ^^; I wish I could draw a picture to demonstrate how I envision her, but, well, if I could do that much, I wouldn't be here. XD
