I wanted to make two characters that are tied to each other but since it looks like we are allowed only one I will make one playable and the other a NPC. Anyways here is my CS. Tyr Ethelson Male Human 29- Composite bow(shown in appearance pic.);- Quiver with 48 arrows(also shown in appearance pic);- . Born in the kingdom of Dalria, Tyr was fascinated by archery ever since he was a child. It was his childhood dream to be an archer. At the age of 17 he made his dream come true after he joined the Dalrian army as an archer. The instructors were impressed with how fast he was learning and how good he was becoming. At the age of 25 he was already one of the best archers in the kingdom. Everything was going perfectly for him, up until he met a woman named Alana, who he fell in love with. Tyr had no idea that Alana was a professional thief. He found out after she was captured and sentenced with execution. Apparently the last person she stole from was an important person amongst the king's ranks. And he insisted with the execution, although life in the dungeons was more enough. Tyr became very conflicted and had no idea what to do. To let the love of his life be executed for thievery or damn himself for good by attempting to save her life. When execution day finally came, Alana faced public execution. But just as the executioner was about to drop the axe and chop off her head. An arrow that came out of nowhere pierced his heart. Tyr then dived into the crowd and climbed on the wooden stage as he began fighting off the few soldiers that were there for security purposes. Then he grabbed Alana and they both fled. Tyr has been on the run ever since, with Alana accompanying him.

So far the plan is having my character be an old adventurer/treasure hunter who heard the stories about the Old Gods and decided to learn more from the cults in Turizi. Initially just from a desire for treasure and excitement, but eventually he became so interested and obsessed that he settled in Turizi to study the Old Gods. And now, well, the stories may just have turned out to be true ;) should be a lot of fun to play.

Interested in this, though I wanted to confirm a couple of things first. Since the setting is low fantasy, I'm assuming playing a straight mage would be out of the question (fireballs and such)? If so, how exactly does magic manifest in the world and would it be possible to play a very low-powered mage with the magic used being more illusory and subdued in nature?

Just gonna say, my character is already a cleric/mage. It's low fantasy not because magic is weak, but because it's rare.

Well, it isn't so much that magic is rare in the word so much as it is in this particular locality. Insofar as it does manifest in Provinka, it is usually very-well hidden (certain isolated groups of elves do inhabit the more wild forests, and they have access to certain low level nature and necromantic magics). Also, certain people are born with magic, but it is rare enough that essentially the problem is there exists noone to train novice magic users. As for your character...I'll go ahead and say yes, if you give me a good quality cs I'll allow a character with illusory and low-level magic. If the character goes well, we can maybe see about...upgrades in the future.

I actually accepted you with the basic assumption that your characters magic was fairly weak. That's probably my fault for making inferences, I should have asked you to give a more in-depth explanation about her abilities.

Her magic is.... odd.

Normally it's weak, taking a long time to do much of anything. She uses her staff to increase it's effect. She still can't do much more than mend a broken bone or fix a cracked bowl. She also tends to be exhausted after using it.

As you said, nobody is around to train magic users, but L is a bit weird. Her magic is instinctual, it's a part of her, but she can't expand beyond what she does like most mages.

Equipment:

- She has her horse. A dapple grey andalusian horse, named Rubetta.
- Long Sword sheathed at her hip. Belonged to her late Brother.
- Around her neck she wears a long delicate chain that her holy pendent hangs from. The pendent depicts the goddess of luck and prosperity, Lady Ondine, whom is one of the many gods/goddess the Lorelae cult worships and believes in.
- gourd canteen filled with water, tied to her rucksack.
- She has three of her favorite daggers hidden on her person. First one at her waist. Second one in her boot, and third one up her sleeve. She is rather found of daggers and they are typically her go to weapon.
- Rolled up in a neat large piece of well waxed canvas, is a colorful woven blanket, and a few extra clothing items, tied to her rucksack.

- A rucksack holding the following listed below.
- Small purse of jewels and gems she has stolen over the last few months, from tombs, graves, and nobles homes.
- A black leather roll, carrying several different vials of poisons. Including one of her own concoction, known as 'Dragon Blood'.
- A rune die. These dice are made and carried by people of the Lorelae cult. They are used for seeking answers, for divination, interpreting/reading signs, events, omens, and also help you find your way like a compass.
- Little tinderbox, and a flint stone.
- Little wooden box, holding needles and thread.
- Small bit of food provisions, such as bread, jerky, and dried fruits.
- Some Fishing Net
- A book she keeps. It is full of recipes and such for brewing poisons, medication, and potions. She has been writing it all down in this book for the past four years.
- Her thieving tools rolled up in a bit of leather.

Brief Bio: She is very daring and has a thirst for adventure. She is not made for the quiet life. She stakes all her property and even her life on luck, and being clever. She is strong, impulsive, courageous, agile, and sly. She is deeply moved by any soulful, or sad stories, and normally wants to help the person, but she is not gullible for she has extremely good Judge of character.

Born to her single mother Talia, a dancer for a traveling dance troupe. Talia was sixteen when she gave birth to Anthea. When Anthea was three years old her mother joined the Lorelae cult, leaving her dancing day behind her. Anthea was raised by her mother, and the other Lorelae adults. When Anthea was eight her mother married to Lance Cornwall. Lance was a nice gentleman, and one of the high esteem in the small Lorelae group.

When Anthea was twelve, the group was traveling through the eastern area, and one night on there way to the next city called Boomblaar, raiders came out of nowhere, and raided there caravans, and wagons. They took Talia, three other woman, three of the horses, and all the money with them, as they shouted and laughed. Anthea never saw her mother again. For the next four year she stayed with the cult, and her step father. Hoping that if she stayed with the group, she may find her mother, but she knew that it was impossible, her mother was slave somewhere, she was never going to see her again. When she was seventeen she left after disparagement with one of the high elders. She had had a lot of questions and misgivings about the religion she was raised to follow.

For the last seven years she has been traveling around, as an assassin, thief, and potion brewer for higher. Stealing gold/jewels, looking for an adventure, and exploring the world. Though she was raised strictly in the Lorelae religion, and later left it, she still believes in what she was taught, but chooses to follow it her own way, without all the rules, ceremonies, and other traditions.

Sorry about the fact that I made a Wood Elf... I actually had skimmed the other sheets before making my own, but for some odd reason, I completely missed KnightsTemplar. I hope this is not a problem, or I can just make another character.
