HISTORY

The culmination of all the demonized smiths of the 'Muramasa' school of katana. Over time the nature of it being a school of artists got swallowed up by the infamy of the legendary sword smith Muramasa. They are a false imitation of all who were persecuted in his name.

Mad Enhancement: D
Under the effects of Mad Enhancement Berserker's Strength and Endurance rank up in exchange for the vast majority of her language skills being eroded away. She is reduced to expressing herself in mere grunts and basic expressions of approval or displeasure. Berserker also cannot easily comprehend complex thought for extended periods of time, lacking the enough rationality to continually process such dynamic information.

Personal Skills:

Sword Smith (Katana): A
The sole specialization of crafting peerless swords that were the cause of Muramasa's infamy and renown in Japan. Due to her exclusive knowledge of smithing it is impossible for her to use this skill to create anything else. Using gathered materials Berserker can make such swords, specifically katanas, that transcend any in the common era. These blades will contain the mystery of 'being a blade forged by Muramasa' and will be leagues above anything that could be forged by human hands. Further any swords that are created this way will be granted the 'demonic' property due to Berserker's legend.

These items can be used by herself or given to her Master as a high grade weapon that transcends modern sense. It can have varying traits based on the 'image' that Berserker has in mind when creating its body, such as creating wounds that are resistant to healing or a blade that lights with unholy fire. This is not omnipotent and can only grant the blades weaker concepts that fall in line with their evil nature. The final products will have an attack power rivaling between an C and A rank damage output when compared to other swords. It takes roughly one day of time to forge a new sword of this caliber. Weaker blades can be created much faster, within minutes, but they hold no more mystery than those of modern times.

Naturally the wielder's strength will factor into the damage and effectiveness when using these forged blades. Unlike with projection of a certain Archer, these swords are forged with no inherent history or experience. As such will have nothing for the user to draw on, considered lifeless even. Even if Berserker puts her entire experience into the blade a human will not be able to fight a servant since they are simply using a tool with their own body's natural abilities, much like fork or a pocket knife. The following Swords have been created.

Peerless Ingenuity - B
The ability to retain one's proficiency in a craft despite any mental affliction or injury of the body. This differs from Eternal Arms Mastership in that it only affects skills that do not qualify as techniques of war. Where a soldier trains their body to remember the motions of their sword an artist trains their mind to never forget their prowess off the battlefield.

This skill allows a servant to display their full artistic prowess despite any hindrances. For a magus it could be magecraft, for a singer it could be how to elegantly enchant those around them, and a scribe could remember and reproduce any work or map they'd ever produced. In Berserker's case it is the elegant craft of forging swords. Even under the effects of Mad Enhancement she can create swords just as effectively as she had in life. In fact under her current mental state one could say its the only purpose or pleasure she finds in her maddened existence.

Conglomerate of Demonization- A
This is the skill that result of the facts surrounding Berserker simplifying a group of individuals into a single entity of legend.

The School of Muramasa sword smiths has overtime devolved from a craft and school of multiple people to the myth of a single individual who was a cursed artist who only brought misfortune. As a result all of the souls that are attributed to 'a maker of the demon swords Muramasa' have congealed into a single entity. Hundreds if not thousands of personalities have coalesced into a single soul that is the culmination of experience and tragedy, shunned by all who laid eyes on their works.

While all of the souls are molded together but individual from one another, the most compatible soul is the form that Berserker took. In other words this womanly form was the one who bore the most similar personality to the world's interpretation of Muramasa Sengo. Normally this would cause a conflict in an individual but since they are all an entity working towards a common goal they become a single unified entity, abstract but strangely linked completely.

These various souls inside of her make it impossible to affect her with any sort of malicious compulsion or interference by any means. Further, even though they were smiths and not warriors... Their culmination of knowledge put them on par with any great Swordsman. In this case the total experience outweighs the genius of the individual.

Juuchi Yosamu: The All-Consuming Demonic Edge - B

The demonic blade that is the ultimate height of Murasama's skill as a sword smith, used in a contest between herself and Masamune. It had been forged to be impossibly sharp, designed to be the sole finest cutting edge among Japanese katana in history forgoing any regard for other traits. Due to Juuchi Yosamu having been worshiped as 'A blade that cuts all it touches' which transcends the normal basis of bladed weapons and has been elevated to a conceptual weapon of cutting. By design it cannot be said to be a normal sword for combat and slaying her enemies but rather a tool exclusive to flawlessly cutting and severing humans and objects alike.

When the peerless edge comes into contact with an object, the blade checks if the object can indeed be cut and if so the target material is converted instantly from 'This can be cut' to 'This has been cut'. The stroke of Juuchi Yosamu ignores all other factors including strength, mystery, and any materials that the object has been constructed out of. An example of this would be most beasts comprised of flesh and blood. No matter their defense or the age of its mystery this sword can cut the beast because 'flesh can be cut' even though normally the blade would have to have the correct 'traits' to harm the beast. Juuchi Yosamu bypasses these requirements since it is a 'thing which can be cut'. As a conceptual weapon its abilities extend beyond affecting physical matter and is equally potent against entities that are without concrete form, such as demons and spiritual entities. Its cutting power is limited however to distinct objects and forms; Abstract things such as 'the future' and 'fate' are excluded due to the fact these are a metaphysical concept. This renders its effectiveness much less absolute than eyes that can observe the Root.

In the Holy Grail War this concept of 'cutting' will generally apply to enemy servant's armor and spiritual body. Without question this blade can cut through magically woven armor with no resistance since any armor is not absolute and can be pierced by a superior weapon. Defenses that are comprised of a conceptual armor or space will generally be exempt from the 'without question' category. Juuchi Yosamu can also cut cleanly through a servant's body no matter how durable its materialized form is, as long as it makes contact it will cleanly sever without any resistance. Nameless weapons that are simply of a superior design will also not be able to resist. These can include a wicked nail and chain, a massive rock slab, or simply a flawless silver sword. They are simply objects of a fine make and not any sort of mysterious object that can resist a sharper edge cutting through them.

Noble Phantasms are generally the only thing that can resist Juuchi Yosamu concept of cutting, but its not an absolute defense. In these cases the generally accepted 'The Greater Mystery will prevail' applies. Noble Phantasms of lesser rank will not find themselves able to withstand Berserker's swings and will be cut cleanly without any resistance. Objects of equal and greater rank will be unaffected by Juuchi Yosamu concept and function as normal without any danger of being severed, but can naturally still be damaged as normal (B rank or above). Noble Phantasms that's Rank changes based on their method of use, such as Mordred's Clarent, will be checked at the time of contact and be split if its rank is of equal or lesser rank.

[Description]: The collective of 'Muramasa' school had a vision for the ideal of a 'sword'. Now a collective entity it could say that all of those ideal creations became the ideal for the One. All of them are masterpieces worshipped as the peak of an existence by the collaborative entity known as 'Muramasa Sengo'.

In much the same way that the magecraft 'Gradiant Air' exists, Berserker is able to shape raw Od into an ideal shape befitting their mental image. All the 'gaps' in the illusion are filled in by the cumulative experiences of the many existences within 'Muramasa Sengo'. Though, the weapon is still an illusion, and will break after one hit but at the same time is not a sword limited by history, reality, or acceptance from humanity. Its the freedom to create any sword that one wishes to hold in their hands.

[Effect]: This Noble Phantasm would generally be sealed due to Berserker's Mad Enhancement. However due to Berserker's 'Peerless Ingenuity' Skill she can make use of such a complex Noble Phantasm despite mental hindrances. This ability allows Muramasa Sengo (False) to be able to transcend the traditional shaping of metal and directly craft magical energy into a finite shape matching their mental image. Despite never being magi in life this is a skill bordering on magecraft, expressing how talented of a smith this collective is.

As long as the upkeep for this Noble Phantasm is paid, as a Single Action, Muramasa can conjure a sword in her hand fitting her image at the time. If she imagines a sword that hits with the weight of a 100 swords that's the property the created sword will have. If she imagines a Sword of Ice that freezes the air itself, then so it shall be. These swords can be swung a single time before shattering into ambient magical energy... But she can freely create them mid combat as long as she's supplying this effect. Unlike certain archers she cannot use them as Projectiles, at least not in the 'Berserker' vessel. This effect lasts for 10 rounds, with a 10 round cooldown before its used again.

Description: An imperfect version of the legendary sword of Hrólfr Kraki, equally legendary king of the danes. A blade of unparalleled sharpness, and haunted by the protective spirits of Hrólfr's most fearsome berserkers, numbering twelve in total. It is a supremely powerful sword capable of eviscerating even the most durable of foes...or at least it would be for Caster, if not for her violating two of its stipulations of use.

The sword carries with it two rules: That it is never to be drawn in the presence of a woman, and that the sun is to never touch its hilt.

As a descendant of the Vanir, her half-elf nature is like that of the sun itself. Merely coming into contact with the sword causes its power to drop in rank, and her gender causes its power to drastically drop once more. In addition, due to Caster being the one to personally cause the deaths of eleven of the twelve berserkers decreases the blade's legendary status, as it is the version pulled before the final Berserker, Vöggr met his end at a much later date. Thus, only eleven have "died" as far as the blade is concerned. Ordinarily, the blade would cut with the force of twelve men behind it, but Caster's version carries only eleven...and eleven men that have been weakened beyond what they are capable of.

The only way for this Noble Phantasm to reach true power would be in the hands of a man of true Danish descent, as then the stipulations would be lifted so long as the user didn't fight in the sun, or against or in the presence of women. Were Caster to perish, this blade, even in possession of another, would fade with her.
