IT IS DONE
Name: Neil Blaze
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Age: 39
Image of Character:
Preferred Weapon(s)/Personal Item(s): His weapon of choice, and one that he carries around is a powerful kinetic pistol, the K-14 Tesla, which uses an electromagnetic field to "slug" powerful AP tipped rounds.
He also owns a suit of combat armor with a materializer, so as to allow him to bring it out anywhere, but total formation of the suit, which isn't too powerful, takes half an hour, Earth time. When he's not in armor, he's definitely wearing a suit and tie.
Abilities: He's actually pretty normal, physically, but his mind is one of the greatest in the sector, and maybe galaxy, capable of normally processing a hella lotta info. But even then, he is entirely human, and often makes mistakes. And although not exactly an ability, he has some REALLY
Personality: Neil is a cigar smoking, gun laundering, man with a lifetime of experience with weaponry and the military, Neil is a well trained man with an arrogant, yet disciplined attitude. He was born to kill, and a total personification of "Humanity, Fuck Yeah", which should be interpreted as extreme pride in his race.. He used obey orders from his superiors, and deal with insubordination harshly, but after his release, he's become a much more melancholy of a person, and will often be found making puns, the one form of humor he likes the most. He dislikes energy, but like every good tactician, uses its advantages to the maximum, although hearing him say "Has any energy weapon EVER been more efficient than a good old kinetic weapon?" is entirely usual, and he himself secretly recognizes the flaws in this. He's patient, yet impatient, in the meaning that he can wait for big things, such as one of his long term plans (which are now seldom made/used), but is incapable of waiting for a burrito to heat up in a microwave. He is also entirely unpredictable at times, and for all his reputation as a master planner, sometimes he will unexpectedly shift to using a lot, a hella lot of raw firepower, a tactic he uses rarely, just to surprise others. He will also not stop to stoop to cheating, or as he jokingly calls it "cheatsy doodling.", which is why he once had the title of "Captain Blaze, the Cheater".
Bio: Neil Blaze, firepower enthusiast and hero of the Salasian System, was born as an ordinary human in the small Human Empire of the minor Valaxiaan galaxy, or once known to Earth as NGC 1705, to a rather complex pair of parents. One was a Captain in the Imperial Navy, and the other a Democrat politician in the Empire.
The Blaze family was often called too normal for its kind, but it was far from that. His mother was usually not there at all, due to her service in the Navy as a Captain, but the father was always there. He'd take care of the child the best he could, but also did his best to provide the best education he could to him.
He demanded physical fitness, and total understanding of whatever concept he tried to teach Neil, drilling concepts into his head, yet managing to make Neil apply creativity and common sense to them. He was a good teacher, and also a good parent, who cared for Neil.
But by the time Neil turned 17, the legal age to join the Navy, and having completed the full education required, his parents were near dead. His mother, lost in a hopeless war, his father, under threat of political assassination. His mother's will contained her wish for Neil to join the Navy, and his father, fearing that his death would not be enough for his bureaucratic, yet ruthless enemies, and agreed with this.
Neil joined the Navy as an Ensign, and enrolled in the best Human Naval Academy the Empire had to offer. Four long years of grueling training, and tactical adjustment, Neil graduated with honors, having been the only one of his class to have won every single ship battle simulation they had (although not on the first try, he was still entirely human), even without brain implants. He was a lieutenant, Third Class, and was posted to serve on the Frontline ship, the HES Envision, to fight the hostile natives of the galaxy, who had made war against the humans ever since they had arrived here.
The HES Envision was based off at a minor outpost in the Salasian System, a relatively useless outpost that hadn't seen action in a long while, due to its lack tactical advantages or special outputs. Neil wasn't quite happy with his placement, but he was incredibly thankful that he wasn't dying anytime soon, and safe. How wrong he was. Half an Earth month later, fourteen Native Rasian ships attacked the outpost, completely outnumbering the five stationed there. There wasn't even time for them to react, and in a flash, a ship was destroyed. The Captain showed his true form as a coward, and fled the bridge of the Envious. With no one daring to take control, Neil stepped up. It was his finest hour, as he sat down in the hot seat as Acting Captain.
The adrenaline rushing through him, the data flowing across the holographic displays in front of him, and the backing of his comrades behind him, he began the first of his campaigns. He hid behind the gas giant of the system, and used it's gravitational field to sling their ship at the waiting blockade of Native ships. They expected him to stop. He did not. "COLLISION COURSE ONE!" were the words that echoed across the quiet bridge, and at that moment, the ship brushed off against two of the five ships of the blockade. He was damaged, but he lost no sailors. That was not all that occurred, as the minute they came into contact, he ordered both the MAC's on board the ship to be fired, point blank. The high speed rounds went straight through the ships, and caused more than enough structural damage to put the ships out of service. He then pulled a total 360, with the engines at max power, and then fired the missiles into the remaining ships.
The missile's caused just enough damage to cause several bits of the honeycombed armor network to collapse, providing the other ships time to fire. They fired right at the three ships, anhilating them. The remaining nine were approaching soon enough, though. He quickly commenced a council of the other Captains of the remaining ships, and he showed them his plan.
When the other ships finally came to firing range, they noticed the amount of merchant ships moving about, but they ignored them, and headed straight for the human battleships. The merchants would be easy to kill, wouldn't they? Fatal mistake, for all those merchant ships were filled with whatever nuclear weaponry they could have found in such a short amount of time. The detonation destroyed almost all of the ships, and fatally wounded the remaining. They won, albeit at a cost, but what battle has no cost?
For the next two decades, the name of Blaze was heard across the Empire, as he received the rank of Captain, and fought all over the Empire. But it was a losing battle, and a single man, or even a hundred like him could not stop the inevitable. The humans were curbstomped out of the Valaaxian Galaxy, destroying the two century old empire, and forcing him to flee the galaxy.
Only a year later, he came out of hyperspace (or equivalent) into the Exorian galaxy, tired and realizing that he was an entirely new area. However, it was his all around bad luck that caused him to appear out in the vicinity of Norrux Mirugal, leading to the capture of his ship , the HPS Ravage and comrades by Rectja Tyrr's men. Not anticipating this, he too was captured, or at least nearly, as he managed to get away from the "bastards", as he described them, as they landed.
He's been stuck on the planet ever since, and has been looking for a way out.
Other: Considering his service in the military, yes, he's been off-planet. Also, he has the knowledge to use some sort of rifle or so, and can command a ship extremely well.
