The event itself is finally at a close. I decided to have Oao steal away with this Divine Cord purely to demonstrate a process by which a deity grows their power by assimilating a new domain. Here are some basic details I'll likely need to expand upon in some unforeseen manner.
- Firstly, as I've noted in my post, The process of fusing one's own Divine Cords with another one takes ten days. No more, no less.
- Secondly during the process the Divine Cords must be given sufficient space to undergo the binding procedure.
- Now I recall saying something different in a past statement of mine but after much consideration I've settled on this: Every new Divine Cord added onto an existing one grants the recipient a ten percent increase to their total divine power. This is of course always ten percent of a single Divine Cord's power and not ten percent of the existing total. Under this system a god with eleven Divine Cords would effectively have double the strength of a god with only one cord. They would also hold near-absolute sway over eleven domains instead of just one.
- While ordinarily no new Divine Cords birth with domains that are already occupied by an existing deity if a deity subjects their own Divine Cord to enough essence of any one domain then their Divine Cord will adopt that domain instead. During a spire event this can result in one of the only instances where more than one Divine Cord can preside over the same domain.
- Typically most new Divine Cords are born as blank slates, given only a domain and left to develop everything else later. If a deity decides to fuse with the Divine Cord of an existing deity however then their memories, personalities and even physical characteristics are combined and reborn in a body which serves as a fusion of all their defining traits, uniting their consciousness into one.
I welcome any questions regarding the above information. There shouldn't be too much I can't answer but if there is I'll let you know.
Aside from that I'll be giving everyone ten IC days to do what they please before I start looking hard into the next task which is kicking off a number of spire events for the sake of moving people's own plots ahead.
