Physique: Vali stands at an average five-foot-seven, which makes him shorter than most men his age. While he is lanky yet sinewy, the years of questing and adventuring makes his physique deceptive as he is agile and fast on his feet. He sports a white longsleeved polo, tucked under a pair of sleek black slacks while also wearing a pair of dusty, black leather shoes. When on official missions, Vali chooses to don on a black blazer as well as a smiling white opera mask. Vali claims the mask helps him to calm down when taking the shot since he needs to clear his peripheral vision. However, most of the time, his face is revealed: a pale complexion of a youthful face, possessing a strong jawline as a messy mane of onyx hair sits on his crown. Auburn orbs often peer through the rifle he carries, but the distinguishable guild mark is imprinted over his right eye.



Personality: Vali is the personification of a steel will tempered with valor and honor. His loyalty to the guild runs deeper than the roots of the most ancient tree in the world, but he strictly adheres to the rules. He will vehemently refuse to disobey a law unless in extreme cases, and will often confront a person who does which somehow made him a sore eye for his rather liberal guild-- his reason for joining being that of his heroic worship of the guildmaster Kukan Teki who inspired the lad at a young age. His belief stems from the fact that laws and guilds were established to keep the peace and to avoid injustice, and to disregard the law meant disregarding the fabrics of society that kept the people in harmony and order. He believes that good must be rewarded in order to promote such acts while evil must always be swiftly dealt with to avoid future repetitions. Intelligent and cunning, Vali is a skilled tactician, but he has a disdain for strategies that put a lot of lives in danger. His plans often involved safe moves and and low-risk, low-reward situations. He often reasoned that a Pyrrhic victory is no victory at all, and that true honor comes in making sure that all of the guild members come home safe. Stubborn in his honor and values, Valishin is a steadfast guardian and member of the guild who believes that the only thing separating the dark guilds from Dragon Heart is morality and principles.

Brief Bio:

Life as a young member of a bandit troupe who raided quaint towns and villages was the only path the boy Valishin knew when his brotherhood exploited his magical gifts for evil. The young Valishin was one of the group's famous marksmen, preying on the weak as the bandits ransacked and looted the villages around the forests in the rural areas. He would be tasked to knock out the guards with his weapons from afar, and in the blanket of night, the raiders would torch the houses and nab the grain. Each night, Vali would find his stomach full, but for some reason, as he gazed at the silent moon peering at him over the dark clouds, his heart throbbed for a greater purpose than putting innocents to the sword.

The turning point in his life would not take long as his bandit brotherhood took residence in a little village known as Lilycrest. He was tasked to watch over the gates, and to shoot anyone foolish enough to seek help from the outside world. But, one errant nap, and soon, the first thing he heard was the sound of lightning bolts crackling as they slammed down on his brotherhood. The unmistakable guild mark of a dragon's head imprinted on one of the mages told Valishin that these were mages from the famed guild known as Dragon Heart. Their mages were known for strength and honor, and they had won countless battles and quests. The very reason his brotherhood of bandits refused to become too notorious was the fact that the bigger they became, the more likely Dragon Heart would take interest in stopping them.

As the chaos raged on in the village, Valishin spotted one of his bandit compatriots attempting to sneak up on what seemed to be a young villager attempting to defend herself, and when the bandit was about to acquaint the novice's sides with a knife, two arcane bullets soared through the air which slammed against the bandit and toppled him to the ground. Valishin had no idea what made him betray his allies like that, but his finger moved instinctively when his eyes refused to see a young girl getting killed... again.

The loud sounds of bullets sliced through the air, and what was once shock and awe at this terrific sight of mages reducing the bandits to a pile of quivering bodies gave way to fear as one of the Dragon Heart mages spotted him perched on one of the tree branches. The man sprinted for him, and the adolescent sniper trembled as he aimed down his rifle. Two shots fired off from the weapon, but they went wide as the mage caught up to him, knocking the boy to the grassy earth with a painful thud. Valishin closed his eyes in preparation for his inevitable doom, regrets flashing through his eyes, when the sweet release of death failed to come.

"There's more to life than killing and surviving, kid," Valishin heard the voice speak. "This world is already cruel; how 'bout you try being nice for once?"

When the boy opened his eyes, the mage was gone and the cacophony of battle subsided in the village. Valishin knew his life was spared only because the mage decided it to be. As he walked away from that village and further into the forests, the young marksman realized that he was wrong. For years, he believed that he had no choice, but to dip his hands in the blood of the innocent. But, now, he knew that he always had a choice: live as a criminal or die as a good man. As he sought to change his life, Valishin took off the bandit's mask as he began working as a hunter for another small town until he worked his way up.

From that moment forward, Valishin chose a new path as he worked to become worthy to enter the guild which not only saved a village, but helped a young bandit make a another, better path in between.



Magic: Lock

Description: Lock is a spatial and requip magic which allows Valishin to store an arcane rifle (which is his only gun at the moment). The arcane rifle, in itself, can hold up to five shots and it is, at Valishin's current level, just a bolt-action scoped sniper rifle. It possesses thirty-two chiseled notches on the side of its butt stock as the image of a white serpent coils between the rifle's front and rear barrel band.

Spells

• Guardian's Arsenal: Scoped Sentinel-32 - The magic sniper rifle that Vali possesses in his arsenal of weapons (which is exaggerated at most-- he only has one firearm in his arsenal). He can store this rifle in his pocket dimension as well as summon this weapon to his side within a few seconds.

Magic: Load

Description: Load, on the other hand, is a Guns Magic which allows him to make use of specialized magical bullets with specific effects.

Spells

• Bullet Time: Shrike - The most common Guns Magic configuration Vali uses. This allows his magic bullets to hit enemies with bolts of arcane energy, and the damage depends on the amount of magic Valishin imbues into the bullets. His bullets glow blue when in this configuration.
• Bullet Time: Pain Train - Upon invoking this magic, Vali's magic bullets glow red. When these red bullets strike their target, the victim's nervous system is hyper-sensitized which causes them to feel immense pain from even the clothes they are wearing.
• Bullet Time: Guardian - Upon invoking this magic, Vali's magic bullets glow yellow. When these yellow bullets hit their target, their cellular regeneration is increased, allowing them to heal quicker from their physical wounds. This can also be used to restore an ally's magical energies from afar. When imbued with this magic, the bullets do not embed themselves into the flesh of its targets-- instead, upon contact with the person, the bullet will hit them like soft balls of water.
• Bullet Time: Caustic Cloud - Upon invoking this magic, Vali's magic bullets glow green. When these green bullets strike an area, a poisonous emerald cloud is released which blankets a five-meter vicinity. The neurotoxin in itself is mild in small amounts and small exposure, but can be fatal if in prolonged inhalation or skin absorption.
• Bullet Time: Spider - Upon invoking this magic, Vali's magic bullets glow white. Spider tethers a white line of energy to the bullet which functions as a grappling hook, allowing further agility and tactics since it enables Vali to re-position to new vantage points.
• Bullet Time: Unrelenting - Upon invoking this magic, Vali's magic bullets glow purple. Unrelenting allows Vali's bullets to greatly increase in penetration power, allowing it to pierce even steel and iron (depending on his magic energy levels). This does take up quite a good amount of his energy, though.
• Bullet Time: End of the Line - Upon invoking this magic, Vali's magic bullets glow a sickly orange. This powerful shot consumes a lot of magical energy, causing Vali to only be able to use this once or twice in combat. Upon contact with an area or object, the bullet explodes in devastating bursts of flame and shards of shrapnel which is dangerous for enclosed spaces.

Items:

• The Smiling Bandit Mask - While Valishin claims that the mask helps him focus his aim, the mask is actually the common accessory worn by his past bandit brotherhood when they undertook their tasks. The reason he keeps it at his side is to remind Valishin of the evil he wrought when he still slaved under the bandit's iron grip. Thirty-two notches are also etched upon the mask, a grim reminder of the thirty-two innocent lives the young marksman had helped to take in the past which is a secret he intended to carry into his grave. In his belief, as long as he held this mask, he will never stray off the right path since this object will always remind him of the man he once was, and the man he never wanted to become again.
• Specialized Magic Bullets - These 7.62 mm D166 bullets are custom-designed by one of Valishin's friends, and they serve as the marksman's primary tool for engaging and winning fights. The bullets themselves possess a triad of transparent layers which glow according to the magic Valishin intends to use. Vali usually keeps thirty loose bullets in his satchel, but when preparing for a big mission, he stacks up depending on the intensity of the enemy. Most of the money he earns from quests often go into this endeavor since he has a tendency to hoard bullets because 'you'll never know when you'll need them'.

Miscellaneous

- Due to his time as a marksman in the bandit brotherhood as well as his training as a hunter, Vali had developed an extremely keen eye which allows him to determine well-placed shots as well as spot intruders and small details in an otherwise crowded scene.

- He is extremely weak when it comes to hand-to-hand combat. He has no formal training in martial arts, and as such, he is currently trying to find someone who can teach him, though he dislikes such an affair.
