Personal Style: Katherine has been moving long enough she's tried to keep her wardrobe choices dark, and non descript. Clothing that is friendly to running, as well as layerable has been her personal preference. Occasionally has found cute rivet-head clothing and stashed them at the resistance as her hope of maybe having a normal day.
Her favorite article of clothing is a denim vest that she's stuck a bunch of pins into and painted a pair of white wings on the back.
Hair, is normally dark brown. However, she's done what is possible to keep it dyed with a mixture of black and blue from a local shop that has often extended the "kat" discount to her.
Hopeful * Timid * Creative * Anxious * Ambitious * Untrusting
Sexuality: Bisexual
Relationship Status: Single Personality: Kat has been on the run for awhile, and at times has let this affect her judgement of others. She often will find the most isolated area of the underground to sleep, often reappearing in the main areas of the build after cold or wet. She loves art, and is constantly trying to paint images around the hideout to at least improve the mood for others. At times, when there are children Kat has summoned a few playful creatures to keep their spirits up.
She genuinely trusts the Mutant Underground, and has accepted she needs to use her powers to protect her friends. She legitimately believes one day mutants will not need to hide in plain sight. Till then, she will do her best to maybe make the next day a little bit better.
When others approach her, she's often unsure at what to say or how to act. As she'd mostly prefer to paint, yet the ones who've managed to get a conversation out of her has realized she's got a pretty sharp sense of humor, and a love for those who've risked everything for this place.

How did you discover your powers: Katherine discovered her powers while she was in high school due to a bully who attempted to destroy her sketchbook. As the girl took her sketchbook away, Kat felt something flowing through her. As the bully neared the pool to throw her the book in, Katherine managed to tackle her. As she checked the book nervously for damage, she didn't realize her aggressor was back on her feet. The next thing Katherine knew, she was falling into the pool. Kat watched helplessly as the book spilled open, her treasured heroines, animals, guardians all flashing before her eyes she wished she could be something greater. Like her knights, brave, fearless, and able to defend against the darkness. She felt the electricity almost evolve into music, it grew louder as she felt a surge of energy erupt through her.
Katherine was dazed for a moment as she tried to piece together what had just transpired. She remembered a pool for sure, but why is she not wet, did she pass out? Did someone have to rescue her? The dawning realization she was being held in someone's arms was becoming quite apparent. Looking to who saved her, a shimmering knight with green hair stared back at her. Screaming in panic, Kat flailed from the guardian's grip and into the water. As she scrambled out of the pool gasping for breath, she looked behind her to see if the strange person had followed her, instead she was gone. Kat would have believed the being was just in her head if the students weren't all crowding around the pool screaming about what they saw.
As the students told the teachers, and teachers considered the story. It was possible an errant mutant had ended up misfiring a teleportation or phase shift and it was all explained. Yet Kat, who'd gone over the waterlogged blurry page almost a hundred times and could not figure out how her knight came out of the paper. Yet as many times as she tried to wish the paper would erupt with life. There was nothing she could do..
General History: A few years passed, the story of the girl and the strange knight in the pool never really died down.
Trying to move past the situation, Kat found other interests outside of school. She became enthralled with street art. She was painting her favorite theme as of lately. Winged muses, holding the gaze of those who passed by. Something Kat was never really good at doing, so she let the art speak for her. Take every stupid challenging look everyone gave her, the knight girl, the fake-mutey, freak, and throw it right back at them. The story of the pool hung around her neck like a chain. With the anti-mutant sentiments growing around her, she worried that someone may eventually talk about her. Of course she remedied that by sneaking out at the dead of night, and spraypainting another muse. Which was where she was right now...
The frustration at not being able to call that electricity again hurt, that if she really was a mutant she'd have a better grasp on this. She wouldn't feel afraid, helpless, the only way she'd feel better is by painting stupid pictures and listening to her girl punk rock groups. She screamed every profanity at the muse, that this wasn't fair, that she isn't supposed to be different, she had to blend in, as she continued her tirade, and the same music began in her very core. She felt the electricity arc down her arms, dance across her palms before she felt fire in her fingertips..
Screaming at the muse, she begged for help. She just needed someone to tell her is she a freak, is she losing her mind, is she secretly an inhuman? A surge of light erupted around Kat, lighting up the alley and most likely a good portion of the city block. Before Katherine stood her winged muse graffiti, the tendrils of ink gently lapping against the wall, the soft shimmer of her dress, even the raspy breath of the winged deity that stood before her, and the realization sank in...mutant.
Katherine left the alley in a daze, not only the realization of her powers, but the weight that just fell on her shoulders. She knew the anti-mutant groups were big in her city, and if she had a freak out with her powers, what would they do to her? What would they do to her family? Kat took out her sketchbook and flipped to her self portrait. She sighed as she willed the image to life. The girl silently looked at her doppelganger as it proceeded home, while Katherine went another way...
Eventually Katherine discovered the mutant underground and in exchange for her help, they will try to help Kat get a better reign on her powers.
