Byron is a very family oriented person, knowing just how much the importance of family is. He takes this notion even further in his life by also acknowledging how important community is as a second family, and what's more, how important it is to take care of the community that matters most, our own ecosystem. His empathic abilities tend to make him more sensitive and caring towards the plight of those within the worlds ecosystem, devoting his time to public park clean ups, and other such activities that would help better mother nature.

Byron is a fun, loving, person who tries to take great care of those around him, even going so far as having a community garden to help feed those less fortunate. When he isnt being captain planet, Byron tends to be a bit silly and goofy. Always trying to lighten situations and make others laugh. Whether this is to make up for the harm hes caused as a mutant child or a product of his masters training is a bit unclear. His powers can make him feel powerful and scared, afraid he'll miscalculate his strength one day and potentially harm another person.

History

How did you discover your powers:

Byron himself didnt discover his powers, so much as his parents did. His mother spent many nights listening to the South African rains, as it would soothe her unborn child. When Byron was finally born, there was said to be a great flood that ruined some habitats and killed many animals. His empathy for the life around him caused him to cry and wail uncontrollably as as an infant he didnt fully grasp what he was feeling. On tantrums such as that, his parents recorded gusts of wind blowing about the room, knocking over pillows and other light objects.

Now 10 years old, Byron has yet to fully display his powers since his infant hood. He practices gymnastics after school and spends his time at the gym with his parents keeping watch. Occasionally he senses the state of the world around him but passes it off as nothing more than a feeling, intuition if you will. One night while practicing his high bars, Byron swung up and grazed the bar, missing his grip, and falling downwards. Feaar struck deep within him as he went hurtling down, and for the first time in a long time, a gust of wind began to kick up beneath him, swirling and holding him in place as it gently let him down. His parents stood there in both wonder and horror, now fully realizing their child was a mutant and not wishing the community to treat him poorly.

General History:

After the events of the gymnastics awakening, his parents feared that they would be unfit to raise their child, not knowing how to help him maintain control over them. They began to search for any clues or hints as to potential mutant teachers, shamans, sorcereresses, or priests that could help their child grow in the way he should naturally. They caught wind of a village priestess who was said to not only posses magic of her own, but also to have helped a child similar to Byron. Deciding he was worth the risk, the family drove the two day journey up to Kenya to meet with this Priestess Ainet and see what she could do for them.

Ainet confirmed what theyd heard about another child, but that was long ago. She offered them shelter in her Village so long as they needed, as well as lessons to help Byron control his outbursts of powers. From that moment on, his family would move to the village in Kenya to meet with Ainet, keeping Byron homeschool and having him practice Gymnastics on the weekends, and spending the weekday afternoons with his mutant tutor. This went on for some time until he caught a fever. The village was not fully equipped to handle such an illness and did what they could to help young Byron. As his temperature spiked, so too did the air in the surrounding areas. Heat began to take the village as some huts caught fire, the land dried up, and many villagers fell due to heat stroke.

Once the fever subsided, two villagers had already fallen dead due to the conditions. All though many took sympathy towards the child, they felt unsafe with how temperamental his abilities could be. Ainet, taking her village into account, offered to train the boy away from her village. However his parents refused, thanking her for all the help she has given and deciding not to risk others lives again. Dread began to fill the family as now they didnt know where to go, that is until they heard about the X-Men. America contained a group of mutant heros who all knew how to control and use their powers for good. So the trip to Washington D.C. was made, in hopes to have Byron learn from them, and attend their school if they had any.

Byron is now 28, his parents had moved back to Durban to be with his grandparents and family, and he spends his time working, practicing his gymnastics, and reading comic books. He always seemed to miss Xavier whenever he made an appearance. Then again, high profile mutants tended to be hard to reach. No, Byron was content with staying in America with his job, apartment, and comics of daring heros, waiting for the chance to be a part of something bigger.

Hey guys, we need to do a little housekeeping. I have been letting some little things slide rule wise, and this message is going to be posted to all of my RPs. Please take a moment to go reread the rules, as I have updated them. However, these are some ones that I particularly want to highlight -

• Cases: You have 24 hours to respond or acknowledge in discord that it is your turn. If you go over 24 hours three times, you will be removed from the RP.
• Editing: NO ONE is allowed to edit a post without GM permission. I will almost always be online and able to say yes. If I catch you doing this from now on, it's removal from the RP.
• Copy + Paste: NO ONE is allowed to copy and paste something from someone else's post. I don't care if it's just one line of dialogue, it's against the rules. Doing this will require an edit of your post or it will be considered invalid.

History

How did you discover your powers: Anastasia learned about her powers very early on in life. When she was a little girl, her parents would often have staff look over her and Peyton started off using charm to get what she wanted until the nannies started getting fusier. Then she had to up the ante. Being able to swing them to allow her ice cream for dinner and late night movie marathons was innocent enough, but as her power grew, she wanted more and more and not even her parents could stand in her way.

General History: The Reinhardt family was old money from well before WWI. Generation after generation fell into the family business. Anastasia was the youngest, and only, daughter and a lot was placed on her shoulders. Her family was often busy and not around to see their child brought up. No, they left that to the staff. Anastasia wanted for very little, but she still wanted.

It wasn't long that Anastasia discovered she had unique abilities. She knew she could charm the dimmest of staff, but her strict nanny was not to be swayed. Instead, Anastasia found herself going into the deep center of the woman's mind and shifting things around. What was bad for her was now good. Ice cream for dinner, staying up way past bed time, and no more hideous piano lessons.

Soon though, Anastasia grew bored. She was able to get away with a lot. She got good grades in school (before you ask, no she actually did study and did well), but for fun she would play around with other people. Bullies got their commuppance, bratty girls got punished, and their overbearing mothers found themselves at odds with the law on more than one occasion. And best of all, no one was the wiser to her.

Still, she sought more. The struggle between mutants and humans was interesting. People feared beings like her and that pleased her. Did she side with those like her or did she hide? Or did she walk the middle line, aware that she could very well tip the scale in either favor without so much as batting an eye? She decided to seek out the leaders, those who could use someone like her, and see what their offer was.

Jack is known to be a caring individual, no matter what happens really. He tends to show most of this towards his older half-brother Casper, in trying to keep him out of trouble to the best of his abilities. He's also tends to be on the secretive side, hiding his past somewhat from those around him, and trying to hide just about everything that has been going on in his life. Though he takes all of this in stride, and despite how grim things seem to be for the group of sorts, he always keeps a lighthearted tone, trying to make those around him laugh whenever possible.

When it comes to the way he acts, and because of the way he was raised, he is a bit on the flirtatious side, not hesitating to flirt with anyone if it helps him to get what he wants or needs. Whether it's information or any sort of thing like that, he likely can con someone into helping them. History

How did you discover your powers: Jack was younger than most when he discovered what his powers were. He was about 6 or so years old, when he was running around outside, playing. His pant leg got caught on a bush, but he didn't think much of it, whenever that happened, he generally just could pull at his pant leg and break free from the brush. However, this time around, that didn't happen, at all. Instead he had this weird feeling in his leg, and when he looked his leg had been stretched out, much much farther than should have been possible. As he learned more about his powers, he learned that aside from just stretching and things like that, he was able to morph his features to resemble the look of just about anyone he wanted to.

General History:

Jack spent much of his childhood travelling between two homes, since his father was only in the picture part of the time, though his mother wasn't too much better about it. He was the youngest of four, but he was the only kid who had a different father then the other 3, so he did feel like a bit of an outcast in the family, but it didn't really matter too much to him, as long as he had some fun with his life. For half of his childhood, he lived at the Xavier Institute, as his mother was constantly doing work and moving around, so she left all her kids with the older children's father, Charles Xavier. Though during the summers, he went off to go live with his father, and he loved the summertime because of it. His father was a bit of a con artist, and Jack learned from a young age how powerful ones words could be if said in the right way.

He grew up somewhat close with his half-brother Casper, and hated what Xavier basically did to him. When he was 10 years old, because of the incident that happened with Casper, the family was moved down to New Orleans, far far away from Xavier's mansion. He did still spend time with his own father, and as he grew older, he even helped him out on a few of his father's jobs. When it was discovered that Jack could morph to look like just about anyone, his father used that to their advantage when it came to a job, and he didn't really mind it.

When Jacques became an adult, he realized that maybe his father's lifestyle wasn't one he wanted to do, but he'd rather help people out, so he became a private investigator, starting his own business as soon as he was able. This was a fun job for him, and sure, it wasn't the most profitable of jobs, but he enjoyed every moment of it. Though he did sometimes use his powers to make the job easier, he rarely did, preferring for the most part his own body, and the way he was supposed to be. Though there have been some instances in the past where he's had to help Casper out, something he never was too thrilled with having to do. Jack cares about his brother and understands why he might turn to drugs, but still, it was getting to be a bit much for him.

One day, while out on a case, Jack came across the Morlocks. He was following a lead, when he found himself down below the city streets in the Morlock tunnels. The group seemed to be in need of some help or something, and he found that soon, he'd be helping the group out with supply runs. He never had to get the branded M on his head, since he could easily morph his body to get rid of it or something, and it seemed somewhat pointless to do that. Luckily, Jacques hasn't had to give up his job as a private investigator, though this is a bit of an argument among a few of the Morlocks. His argument has always been that they shouldn't steal everything that they come across, since it might get a bit suspicious if that was happening constantly and it could eventually lead people down to the tunnels. So he uses his income to help pay for some things, but he isn't above using his skills as a con man o help steal more expensive things.
