Probably meant zoomer, but my old brain is mix-and-matching the terms. Pretty wild that I just called you a Michigan-specific denotation for a idiot who lives in the wooded hills of the upper peninsula, though.

where can I watch this?? UK for reference. Genuinely have no idea where it's available

Sadly i think it's just the DC Universe streaming service so far, which is US only right now, although they added Titan's to UK netflix a week or so after it finished, so hopefully they'll do the same with Doom Patrol? Although i haven't heard anything about that so far sadly. I'm currently VPNing into it, just because I couldn't wait. I'd be bold enough to say that so far Doom Patrol is probably the best DC live-action show they've made.

That is a good point, there's not really much competition.

Yeah it wasn't really until the CW showed them that live-action television can kinda be profitable that they started pumping the big bucks into it. Before that they focused on what they knew how to do well which was animation but now with Marvel being attached to the Disney/Pixar animation empire that's kinda slipping away from them so a pivot towards live-action seems to make the most sense from a business standpoint anyway.

I guess, although personally, I haven't thought much of the new animated Marvel shows. Despite being attached to Disney/Pixar as you said, the actual animation style just doesn't seem that great. It just feels a bit cheap? I can't really comment on the writing, etc though, as all i've seen of them have been through short clips on youtube.

Well, I completely forgot about the CW shows... Then again, those aren't exactly top tier either.

Yeah, I have mixed feelings on them personally. Apparently, Arrow has gotten really good recently, although getting to that point means wading through the not so great parts.

Yeah that's fair and probably more of a sign of the problems inherit in serialized superhero cartoons. They are either like extremely good or extremely just like "meh"? Not even bad just like averagely forgettable. Cause like I don't think there has really been a good animated series since Batman: The Brave and the Bold and that in itself is a controversial statement on some parts of the Internet because you either loved the camp or you hate it.

Though I will say my little cousins love the Big Hero 6 cartoon. And well if they -Disney's target demographic- seem to enjoy it then I guess they seem to be doing their job right. Even though, I can't say that it is much more than a fun problem of the week style kids show

As someone who grew up on reruns of 1988's Superboy, and the original run of Lois & Clark (1993-1997), I should feel offended by this narrative. I'm sure some people who are Smallville stans such as Wraith also would like to have a word.

I am not a 'stan'. I just happened to have grown up on Smallville and it has a large nostalgia factor but I can recognize its flaws and shortcomings.

Lucky, all of my childhood live-action superhero nostalgia is funneled into this beautiful hot mess.

Same. Smallville's a bad show, and I love it.
