Not sure! I didn't and don't have a specific character in mind, yet. We'll see what pops up. I am thinking about Banner/Hulk.

Always good to have a Hulk.

Hulk means one day, in the far off future. I can have a Hulkbuster so I'm behind this idea.

Well we're almost a week into the IC and already on our third page so out of curiosity, what are the driving factors and influences in your story?

For me, I've never read a single comic containing or pertaining to Namor. My largest exposure to the character was through @Morden Man's Fantastic Four posts in Ultimate One Universe. Instead, I'm drawing DC's Aquaman, Game of Thrones and Lord of the Rings for a lot of influence. Add to a dash of the MCU's depiction of Thor and my time playing in Ultimate One Universe and you basically have the recipe for my Namor.

One thing I'm really focusing on this is fleshing out the world up front instead of sort of winging it. With Thor, I played it relatively safe by putting him a small generic town and for the most part, staying away from Asgard. Here, Atlantis is at the forefront and will be heavily featured in the coming posts as a good chunk of the first third of my story is set there.

But that's about it for me, so I now I'm curious to hear from you guys and to read between the lines to see where your stories are going.

Some Notes on Stark/Iron Man

Just to save DMs/PMs.

Stark has been active as Iron Man for five years, until the recent press conference there was a lot of speculation of Iron Man being Starks creation but no confirmation. Iron Man hasn't really been a hero yet. He's been focusing on the Ten Rings, and any other organisation that has been using his technology. He hasn't so much as lifted a finger against any other kind of super villain yet. That isn't his job. He's not there yet. Stark has been pretty vocal in his distaste for advanced weaponry. Stark Industries initially had a pitfall in stock and profits for a while but made a comeback in power generation technology (primarily), while also making breakthroughs in aviation and automobile technology (electric cars anybody?)

Stark tower isn't built yet, but Stark is trying to get building permission on a building he bought.

I'm doing a heavy mix of MCU/Legacy/EMH into a new version of Stark. I'm also wanting to build on the business aspect more once I've established Iron Man as his own hero(?). Which will be happening after Trasnia, as I want to do something a bit different.

Well, for me, this is more or less my second time in one of these games, my first time was UOU, which I more or less treated as a little experiment, but now I really feel like I'm in a position to start stretching my legs. UOU is certainly giving me a lot of inspiration for how to handle it. In particular, how much planning and organizing was done for that game, so now I have a big ol' spreadsheet detailing what subplots come up when and chronicling the posts I need to make for this arc. Also, big shout outs to @HenryJonesJr's spectacular Spider-Gwen for giving me some inspiration on how to start approaching translating Spidey from comic to prose. Overall, just shout out to everyone from that game; I feel like in a lot of ways, just about each and every poster influenced my style just a bit in some way or another, from Morden's careful characterization to Uni's bombastic action. It's all just about getting a bit better at this whole "writing" thing every day, and somehow, the climate of these games has a way to pushing me to try and reach for it.

In terms of particular character inspiration, I'm taking a lot of cues from the Spiderverse movie, Spectacular Spider-Man, and the 90s Spidey cartoon. Spider-Man has meant a lot to me more or less since I was born; I have this vivid memory of being young and terrified of Doc Ock at the theaters when Spider-Man 2 came out, but I kept daring myself to look back at the screen so I could root for Spidey. In a way, it's kind of a story I've been thinking about since I was a kid: what if Spidey had the symbiote from the start? How would it come to change him, his relationships, his villains? I just hope I can live up to the promise of the premise!

Outside he obvious answers like the MCU GOTGs, Thor Ragnarok, and Infinity War, my main source of inspiration is Stephen King’s THE DARK TOWER. Asgard (Gilead) has fallen, and the Gunslinger (Thor) is traveling to find and kill his Man in Black. As he and his new group of warriors will uncover a conspiracy to undo the multiverse.

No big deal

So far I'm looking to tie together the "business world" and tech sides of one of these games, just as other people in the past have looked to establish the "magic/magick/magik" side of these universes.

I've always liked how each of the most brilliant minds of the Marvel and DC Universes have kind of had their own corners of expertise and their own differences which have made them their own people. From Pym's instability, to Reed Richards insatiable need for knowledge and discovery.

Ted Kord's genius has seldom really defined him in most works and he's often a Batman-Lite business head/gimmick inventor who has amazing potential and has had issues of focus which have been his biggest obstacle when discovering that potential. He's almost "too human" to be the person he could really be. So I wanted to explore why that's the case, and wanted to give Ted something that other geniuses don't tend to have in order to better differentiate his mind from other Marvel/DC geniuses... hence the perfect eidetic/photographic memory thing.

In terms of influences, I've probably poached and pinched a bit from a lot of the previous similar games in the past. The L-Pad reference in the first post quite blatantly came from one (or many) of @AndyC's runs on Superman in the past, which I expanded out with naming it's video chat software as LLL. A lot of this will be reflecting back other events in the business side of this combined universe as we saw with how @Sep's Iron Man stuff has directly impacted K.O.R.D. The character of Mike Ross from Suits will inform on a lot of what's come with Ted's perfect memory and using a brilliant but raw mind to dominate a new profession as well as my own class clown experiences in my own schooling, which probably impacted my decisions far more than I'm even willing to admit.

I'm stealing from everywhere! Even obscure places you wouldn't think about! I'm taking it! It's like an homage only more blatant and hacky!

CWVerse, The Flash: Rebirth, some Kingdom Come, Superior Spider-Man and Flashpoint are the pretty obvious influences to my run of The Flash, though, ultimately my concept hasn't ever really been done before and there's not a whole lot going on that's about Thawne being a good guy, or, at least pretending to be one. The driving force behind Flash's simply the novelty of the idea. I like Thawne, he's a villain who's entire characteristic's built upon hating his nemesis. His entire identity's hating Barry, which isn't really something he's got in common with other villains. Lex doesn't just /live/ to fuck with Superman. He has his own agenda.

Thawne rarely has a clearer goal than to ruin Barry's life, and by my first post - he's already succeeded. He has already won. Yet, that didn't make him complete, not satisfied. He still desires to live, he still has things in his life he wants to do. Thawne's been an outcast his entire life, and my run's very much about him learning to live his life, freeing himself of the burden of his hatred for Allen.

Also, all the interactions with the Flash's villains are gonna be a whole lot of fun. I do look forward to some crossovers, too.

I'm taking it! It's like an homage only more blatant and hacky!
