  • High Mobility Transporter (Recon)

    A high mobility transport(HMT) vehicle equipped for long ranged recon missions. The HMT Recon is open topped which greatly improves vision and equipped with multiple back up Jerry cans for extended recon missions. The vehicle drives well in rough expansive terrain and its can suspension can handle a maximum speed of 80km with a top speed of 120km on road and 55-60km off road. Even on its recon configuration, the HMT carries an HMG on a rotating centra ring for 360° fire and a passenger mounted MMG for forward fire support. Another one of the HMTs greatest assets is the amount of space in the back which can carry a large number of special equipment or supplies, an asset which has been used in the past to set up ambush sites deep into enemy territory. One of the few drawbacks is the thin armor which unless specifically equipped with an armor packed that greatly increases weight can be penetrated by small arms weapons. Another minor problem is the lack of windshields and environmental controls, like AC, on the vehicle which leads to incidents of crew members being pelted by insects or dust at high speed or having to wear heavy clothing to resist the chilling winds when driving quickly. Comes equipped with a VHF Radio with a range of 30-40km (apparently that's the most car radios can have).

  • Barbed wire: A large spool of barbed wire kept in storage. Used under certain terrain to restrict or trap witches in flight. Also used to restrict beast like supernals.

  • M16 Anti Personnel Mine (Including metal stakes and steel wire): Bouncing shrapnel mine kept in storage.

  • Misc Scout equipment: Just random bits and bobs that a scout needs. Binoculars, Radio, Navigation Tools like a map and compass. James also has a pair of combat goggles, half mask and a sick ass scarf both to keep the elements at bay while driving and to protect his eyes/face from shrapnel during combat. Two rolls of camo netting. Water resistant camo poncho.

Physical description:


Biography: James grew up with a perfectly normal life in Lake Mungo raised by two loving parents and three older siblings. He didn't at all feel oppressed by the heavy surveillance the government has on its people instead, he felt incredibly content and happy that big brother was keeping such a close eye on him. Due to a mix of laziness and general incompetence when he graduated high school James found out that he'd incorrectly filled his college paperwork and that due to this is he'd been denied admission to the business course he'd selected, he did not apply for safeties. Not knowing what else to do with his life, James enlisted with the military in an effort to find structure and meaning in his life doing something he felt mattered. After months of basic training, he applied for a commando regiment because he wanted the best training out there to survive and because he felt it'd be cool. James struggled heavily in training due to a lack of experience and aptitude in pathfinding/wilderness navigation making it third worst in his batch but he somehow managed to barely pass after another few months and a freak drop bear attack left so many of his group wounded. When a high ranking military officer came to his military base in an effort to recruit new soldiers into Gram, unknownst to them for a dangerous military operation set for sometime in the future, James jumped at the call since he was confident in his skills after training for so long.

  • Advanced Stalker - Stealth operations are Ochos bread and butter, with him excelling at tasks requiring extreme patience and discipline along with a strong sense of direction, tracking, long distance observation, and evading pursuit.
  • Deadeye - Excels at long distance operations are not limited to surveillance. Ocho is a remarkable marksman and spotter with a knack for landing a shot in even the most unsuitable of conditions.
  • Survivalist - Scouts by the nature of their title need to be capable of completing their tasks without reliance on the larger picture, needing to adapt to new landscapes and dangers while retaining their efficiency for the task. This is an incredibly hard skill for many to master but Ocho exceeds expectations.

Non-standard gear:

  • Tactical helmet - Built in range finder, headset, smoke filter system, voice alteration equipment, thermal vision. Based on an original design and modified for espionage over standard field work, it is easily the scouts best friend. Ochos helmet was specifically modified to filter his sight with lingering magic detection, similar to thermal vision but reacting to magic essence.
  • Specialty rounds - [Fire/Thunder/Toxin/Gas] - As the title suggests, these are not your regular sniper rounds and are rather valuable. The brass casings have inscriptions around them that trigger different effects to the rounds within. Some turn the projectile to superheated bursts or deliver massive electrical discharges. Others are manufactured specifically for GRAMs best field agents, injecting targets with lethal chemics stored in a hollowpoint round, or release a cloud of colorless but potently flammable gas.
  • Geiger Counter - Similar to devices used to measure radiation saturating the area, this device was modified to track lingering pockets of magic essences in the air from up to 3 weeks previous. The stronger the magic used the higher the device spikes. Ocho uses it as an early warning device.


Biography: Maybe Ocho isn't the smartest or sanest of people in GRAM but there is no denying his abilities are borderline inhuman, a tracker of the highest caliber with a decorated history of engagements inside and outside the city. Utterly fearless and a self made man of pure discipline put on this planet for the soul purpose of walking its withering husk without a sound. This man lives for his job and has proven many times that the harder the work the harder he works, earning trust and responsibility by the handful, even briefly being in charge of training other scouts. In the end he was considered too lax with field work after expressing repeatedly that recruits failed his own testing due to a lack of creativity or adaptability, stating 'good scouts are born, not trained'.

Despite working for GRAM and sporting an impressive kill count, Ocho is a kind soul. Cares for every citizen in the city even if he does not trust all of them, and silently wishes the fear of the supernatural would stop hindering the betterment of the cities people at large.

Non-standard gear: A kite shield created with a layer of bullet resistant glass sandwiched between two quarter inch thick layers of steel, and a 12 lb combat augmented splitting maul. Several lengths of long wire for trap laying survivalist traps like snares, about 40 feet.

Biography: "My entire life has been filled with the need to protect and help those who society tramples. My daughter was one of those Sorceresses you act so cruelly towards, and she's gone now, having gone out to help keep people like you safe. It's why I try to be kind to any of the sorceress units I meet, because they're someone's family. Every sorceress who feels the cold hate of this world can find comfort in that at least someone gives a damn."- Herbert when asked why he acts like he does towards witches and Sorceresses.
A brutal warrior, loving father, and broken man Herbert has lived a life of loss. When he was young, only 16, he accidently got a girl pregnant but swore he would stay with her to make things right. D.N.A testing was done, and it was confirmed that the little girl he had created with his would be love was indeed a sorceress in incubation. G.R.A.M moved quickly, seizing both Herbert and his lover while the baby gestated incase of some strange happening with the unborn child. Six months later, Herbert was there when his daughter was born and his lover spoke to him for the last time, dying shortly after. She made him swear to keep their daughter safe, and he of course made that promise. However, after his daughter was born she was stolen from him by G.R.A.M who wished to raise her to become a part of the Sorceress corps, a death sentence for many girls who are forced into it.
This left Herbert with only one option, over the next four years he pushed himself to his limits. He trained himself to become the greatest fighting machine G.R.A.M would of ever seen, his intentions were stupid but simple. If he destroyed all magical threats before his daughter went out onto the field, she would be safe. A foolish ambition, but his training did pay off. Four years of non-stop, bloody and sweaty work in both a forge and in a self made bootcamp turned this average young man into a muscular monster. As soon as he struck 18 he joined G.R.A.M's trooper division without any hesitation, much to the terror of his parents.
Six years later after serving relentlessly in G.R.A.M Herbert got terrible news. His daughter had been deployed at only ten, and she had gone M.I.A in her first engagement against the enemy, her troop having been ambushed while moving through dangerous territory. Most believe her to be dead, but Herbert holds out hope for it is now all that keeps him going, the constant shame of his failure weighing down on him. He prays he finds her before anyone else does, for he doesn't know how she's fared in the wilderness. Others might just think her some random witch and hurt her, and if that were to happen there would be nigh a force on the planet to save them, from him.

Other: Has met Morgan, the head Sorceress of G.R.A.M, and has a decent relationship with her. He even has been healed from grevious wounds for his constant assistance to any Sorceress squads in need near him while deployed, and she has saved him from several court marshallings for doing so from his commanding officer.
