I made all the Betcher's gland stuff as one test, since its property was toxic. Still, I somehow managed to miss a knife strike against a dying enemy -_- I am disappoint in myself.

Also, Betcher Gland be OP against unarmoured enemies. That and my rolling is oddly good today. Managed a 117 for the Kroot's Toughness test...Pretty sure it died.

Is anyone else waiting with baited breath for arseface to go toe to toe with 3 tau fire warriors? I kinda want to see him lose solely for how he could manage to write an astartes losing ahnd to hand against Tau.

You don't get your Unnatural Toughness & Strength simply because you aren't in power armor at the moment.

I will occasionally ask you for specific Checks, other times I will note them as Open, meaning it up to you to decide what, if any, Checks you want to make.

Ollum- once you go through your "special" intro, you go about the same regime as everyone else. I'll PM you, but basically you are free to write up any RP interactions you want to NPCs and do your combat-ish thing before pausing for your First Oath.
And you wouldn't fight any xeno psyker. So other than no psyker no named hero, no monstrous creature...up to you.

They should still get it. Unnatural toughness and strength (x2) are TRAITS that are the result of their genetic/biological enhancements that occurred during the process of becoming space marines. The only thing power armor affects is a +20 bonus to strength and when in it you treat movement speed as though it were 1 step higher.

Marines (or any creature with an unnatural trait) would still benefit from their unnatural traits regardless of what they are wearing.

I am just glad to help. The vast majority of the rules written in the CRB are spot rules or in heavy need of ... interpretation. Sadly (luckily?) I have spent a lot of time doing just that.

So, we are all being allowed a medicae check even if we don't have it as a trained skill right - since Medicae is an "advanced skill" and normally could not even be attempted if not trained in it - ?

If it js not trained you can make a toughness check at -40. Which makes me wonder what it is since that is a pretty tough check.

Why would I make a toughness check? Medicae is a trained-only Intelligence skill. If I am not trained in it, I simply cannot attempt the check at all. I don't understand where Toughness would come into play.

Edit: Disregard. #4. Skill Test: Medicae (only roll if you are trained) <---- Found my answer, right there. Next time I will read just a little bit ahead before I ask a question that has already been answered. SMH. lol
