Mona Windrider

Location: The Palace
Skills: N/A

She blinked in surprise at the threat. She hadn't done anything so bad, had she? Mona was but a simple traveler of a simple mind. But this woman, all ice and fire, seemed to think she was a beast bent upon destroying their very foundation of life. Well, perhaps not quite so dramatic, but certainly, the threat of cutting off hands was a little over the top for having walked in. The guards had even let her by after all.

"Wel, I do like tah be keepin' my hands. I find they be useful for a number o' things. Same as yeh I 'magine." She spoke in a light and congenial tone. "I just be trackin' the stones, Miss. As ye can see, they be headin' that a'way and that a'way is where I be followin'. Up to the puff?" she inquired. Her slang statement asked if she was understanding what it was Mona was attempting to relay. The young woman pulled a few of the lapis from her pouch and held them out in the palm of her hand. "Followed these wee beasties up from the market place I did. Like a trail o' crumbs."

Amarantha

Location: Outside the Palace
Skills:

Amarantha rolled her eyes in annoyance. Honestly, she'd probably just cut out the woman's tongue. Her accent was a bit degrading and Amarantha felt like she was loosing brain cells. Still, this woman was interesting none the less and the amount of Lapis Lazuli she had in that pouch and the fact that there was a trail of it was even more so. She eyed the woman, getting no real feel of evil off her but her curiosity was growing.
"Well I shall follow you then. As I said, the Castle isn't safe at the moment. Continue on stranger, you should tell me about yourself as I follow you on your treasure hunt."

Myth the Muse

Location: The Wizard's Tower - Great Hall

Myth took up the bundle offered to her, checking to see the child's face. How often had she heard that childbirth was unlike anything else? Painful, sure. But once you saw the life you gave, your world was forever changed. He was premature and would require help, but he was still here. Alive. And if he was anything like his mother and father, he would be strong and determined as all hell. "Hello precious. Oh, gods, I need to name him too don't I? What do you think of Halden?" she asked Bruce. She wanted his input.

They would head to Asgard to get help and rest, but she wasn't in any shape to do so herself. "Umm, love? Do you think you could carry me to Asgard? I did just give birth to your son." She chuckled slightly to herself, sure that Bruce was probably thinking a million things at once. She looked over to her son again. "I won't let anything bad happen to you. I will always love you and be your biggest fan."

Fleur La Mallificum

Location: Port Witch House

Fleur entered her home to see everyone dressed in robes, flowing and colorful. Dancing in merriment. The Sicknesse had truly passed and it was thanks to her. She felt the warmth of her fresh pull of Chthon. She would wait and see what that has done. For now, she would let the others rest, relax, and enjoy themselves. Bernice and Constance were up now. "I have rid the world of the blight and the thanks I get, I tell you. It matters not. I would have done it all again if it meant seeing my flock well. And now, Bernice, we plan." She grabbed a nearby cup of some type of alcohol and made her way to the center.

"My flock. My family. Eat. Drink. Be merry and enjoy this. We have overcome something remarkable. We have pushed back the odds. We must honor those we have lost and make way for what is to come. We will not sit idly back anymore. Instead, we will take the fight to them. They wish to call us monsters. Vermin. They look at us and see evil, so I say why not show them? Tonight we feast, but tomorrow, we plot. We have a new goal in sight. My family, we take the castle and the throne!"

The Castle: May 11th, 12,508 - 5:30 PM

The funeral for the ExtraOrdinary Wizard, Arya Rincewind, was held three days after she perished. It was a private function, with only family members and close friends being allowed to attend. There was a banquet in her memory held at Wizard Tower, in which the wizards told stories about her and then discussed the pressing and problematic question: who to replace her? There were only two viable candidates present - Jarvis Yule and Blaise Rowland. But since Yule did not want the pressures of being ExtraOrdinary Wizard, wanting to spend time with his husband and family, Rowland resumed the office with a heavy heart. Arya had been more than just an apprentice to him.

As for Fleur and her Coven, Princess Meadow stayed for three more nights before her brother recalled her to the Lagoon. She left behind roughly 100 troops with Fleur, giving them instructions to follow the commands of the Witch Messiah as needed. If more troops were to be needed, Fleur was to contact them with advanced notice and they would muster them. Bernice and Constance spent much of the week training their girls, preparing them for the battle of their lives. There was no sign of the Sickenesse returning, thankfully. And not a single peep from Chthon, as if the elder god had become dormant after Fleur stole his powers for herself.

Ahote Proudstar had been brought into the fold at the Palace, as well as Mona Windrider. Ahote was working with Myrus in terms of controlling his abilities and powers, while Mona is helping Amarantha investigate the mysterious stones that went into the Palace. The trail had gone cold for the most part, with the exception of a lock of black hair that was found on the final stone.

Myrus Silvers

Location: the Palace - Dining Hall
Skills: N/A

The chef had prepared for them a traditional meal from the Lagoon. The sauce was a deep and creamy red, partnered with various herbs from the Palace Gardens, roasted rabbit chunks, and fine hair like noodles. To drink, there was plenty of ale and fresh water, along with some mint tea. Myrus found the taste of ale to be a bit foul so he was sipping his tea, using the worst china since the chef didn't want the fine china to explode if his powers flared up at the meal. He twirled his fork slightly, getting some noodles before taking a bite.

His sister was not a traditional Queen by any means - meaning that Ahote, Amarantha, and Mona were welcome at the dining table with Valda, Luna, and Myrus if they so chose. He speared a bit of meat on his fork, hesitating for a moment before eating it. When he was little, he had gone on a meat strike after he realized that cute little bunnies were being killed and served to him. His love of the taste of meat and the need to consume it in order to be strong (as iron supplements do not really exist here) had motivated him to take up eating it again.

He looked at his sisters, feeling a bit worried. Fleur hadn't made her move yet, but with each passing day he became more and more anxious that it was going to happen. They needed to get ready for her and quickly. "So, um, Valda... I-I have some ideas on how to Fleur proof the palace... If you're ready to help me with that," he asked her softly. Most of them involved his sister's Magyk, but he also wanted to talk to Amarantha. He knew that she had some sort of person making mechanical weapons for her - so maybe the way to trick a witch wasn't with Magyk but instead with machines.

Asgard: May 11th, 12,508 - 6:30 PM

For the past week, Myth and Bruce's infant son has been cared for by his extended family. His aunt Halley, a medical expert in her own right, collaborated with his grandfather Lance and great-grandfather Bruce in coming up with a treatment. It helped that the child was a quarter Asgardian, as even though he was premature, the treatment was allowing him to grow and stay strong and healthy. He was still incredibly tiny but Halley estimated that it would be another week until the infant would be able to survive without their treatment.

Since it was a difficult and busy time for Myth and Bruce, some friends of Bruce's father agreed to take in Antonije, Sylvi, Marya, and Medea for a little while. It helped that one of them was gifted with speed, meaning that the people of Asgard heard the occasional BOOM as one of the twins goaded the man into a race. So far, neither of the twins had managed to beat him just yet, jokingly referring to him as the God of Speed.

Both Cuyler and Arnora began training - with Klara mentoring the former and Runa the latter. It was about the time for the evening meal on Asgard. Cuyler and Arnora had been given temporary lodging at the Palace, since Klara insisted and claimed she had too many rooms for just her anyways. Myth and Bruce had been given a room as well, near the Healing Chamber where their baby boy rested and recovered.

"I'm afraid the evening meal with have to wait," Runa told her trainee with a knowing smile. "The All-Mother and I decided that Myth and Bruce's wedding has been far too long delayed - and we have arranged for a private ceremony to be conducted here momentarily." Myth's dress had been fitted and restored to its former beauty. The family members were all in the Great Hall of the Palace already, with Klara having used her powers over love and romance to decorate the space.

She had to smile slightly, hoping her son and future daughter in law would enjoy this surprise.

Princess Luna

Location: The Palace - Dining Hall
Skills: N/A

Luna had sat herself down at the table, she had taken the advice from her talk with her sister and Amarantha to write down her thoughts, it did help a bit and calmed her somewhat as well. She would occasionally set down her small journal she had managed to get her hands on, to take a quick bite out of her dinner. She would occasionally fidget nervously, since Fleur had returned she was really paranoid that the witches would come for her again. Luna had a glass of water as she took a quick drink from it and turned her attention over towards her brother when he mentioned his plan. She always did feel pretty useless at times as well, her brother could destroy things with just a touch if he wanted to.

And her sister was a witch as well and could use her magyk much more freely now with the sicknesse gone now to, she took another bite of her food. "Aww your little brother is eating little rabbits again, I wonder how the chef killed them this time." The voice spoke up in her head, which made Luna shake her head again and went back to writing in the journal again. Luna then looked over towards her brother again, letting out a slight sigh. "What were your plans again?" Luna asked him softly, she just really hoped that his idea would be able to work and Fleur wouldn't be a problem for them anymore.

Arnora Skadidottir

Location: Asgard
Skills: N/A

The past week Arnora was enjoying her time in Asgard as well as her training with Runa to, she stopped for a moment and started to wonder about Ahote. She had pretty much left him alone without as much as a word, he probably thought that she had died during the fight with Chython as well. Her attention turned towards Runa mentioning that the evening meal was going to be held off, and then she remembered that the woman Myth and Runa's son were getting married before the whole wedding was ruined. "I nearly forgot all about that." Arnora said, she had stopped to see the baby on occasion when Runa was with her family but waited just outside the room as well.

Arnora wasn't really sure if she was allowed to attend since it was just the immediate family, and she didn't want to be to much of a bother at all either. "I am sure that the wedding wont be interrupted this time around and be way more enjoyable for the family." Arnora said, as she fixed her hair a little bit. "Are there any final preperations that you'd like me to help out with at all?"

Amarantha & Ahote Proudstar

Only a day after the wedding, Amarantha released that she would be hosting three days of epic games for anyone who was interested in joining the Palace guard or Castle guard. She didn’t think there would be quite the turn out. Still, there was more in the crowd, placing bets on their favourites. It seemed to put everyone in the Castle in high spirits and it was needed after the announcement of the ExtraOrdinary Wizard being dead. The funeral was a couple days ago and the Castle was still somber but not today. Today the clang of metal could be heard throughout the Castle, even amongst the roaring crowd. Blood spattered the stones, the crowd and the contestants. Amarantha walked through a transformed Trader’s Market. No more was the regular set up of stalls. Instead there were several areas dedicated to those who wished to show off specific skills anywhere from archery to simple knot tying, to more exciting things of determining which items were poisons. The Physiks were being kept busy. In the middle of it all, where Amarantha was headed, was a giant fighting ring. Anyone could sign up and fight either one on one or against multiple combatants. The fight was to go until first blood, but some things would get out of hand and a person would often be rushed out of the ring in hopes of stopping the blood flow.
Amarantha rose an eyebrow when there was a collective “oof” from the crowd as something happened within the fighting ring. On the first day, Amarantha opened the games with a ten on one fight. She was still nursing a few bruises and a major cut to her arm but her opponents were far worse. She could hardly resist the urge to show off and start this competition off right. However, it seemed that someone was out to make even her victory against ten of her best seem little. Titan had come tearing into the board room earlier in the day, speaking of some man taking out person after person with not much more use than his hands, although he did have an axe that he would use from time to time. It seemed this Ahote Proudstar was quite the crowd pleaser. Amarantha made her way to the front of the fighting ring in time to watch a man be launched across the ring into the surrounding crowd. On the other side of the ring stood a man, pumping his arms to get the crowd cheering louder. War paint covered his eyes in a rather dramatic way. Yes, it did seem there was another performer within the Castle.

Ahote Proudstar grinned at the surrounding crowd as yet another contestant stepped forward. The True North native shifted his feet on the dirt that had been laid out over the cobblestones to create a somewhat soft surface for fighting and waited for the woman to charge him. Yes, Ahote was fighting men and woman with zero prejuidence. If they wanted to be part of the guard, they would face far worse than him.
Ahote could have left the country days ago but opted not to. He had a feeling in the pit of his stomach that he should remain. He never found Arnora and Grimspound had virtually disappeared and although that bothered him, it was only for a short time. There was something else that was holding him to this place and he was looking for it when he came across a crowd gathered around a piece of paper on an announcement board showcasing a tournament that would be held. Anyone could participate and people would be picked to join the Guard. Restless, Ahote decided to try his hand and see if he came across anyone else gifted like Arnora and Grimspound had been. So far, Ahote had fought against those with Magyk and those with nothing more than their own fists. The longer Ahote fought, the bigger the crowd had gotten.
The woman charged Ahote and he responded in kind. He rarely used his own gift, only used it against those who had an ability as well. An ability that was revealed to him when they either showed off, or he saw their aura change. This woman was just that so Ahote kept his enhanced strength reigned in and fought normally. He made it a show, they both did and within five minutes Ahote drew first blood. Another woman stepped into the ring but a strange hush seemed to fall over the crowd before there was a resounding roar of cheering again. This woman seemed to be a crowd favourite as well.

Amarantha stepped into the ring, pulling out her daggers and nodded to Ahote with a predatory smile. She wanted to see what he could truly do though and she pulled in a couple more woman from her elite fighting squad. The women fanned out with Amarantha in the center and she took a few steps forward towards the man before she shifted and threw dagger after dagger at him. He moved quickly, side stepping each one of her daggers but her last, which he caught and threw back at her. As soon as the dagger left his hands, the other two woman moved in on Ahote, splitting his attention. After barely dodging the tossed back dagger, Amarantha circled the three people fighting, watching his style and searching for openings or weaknesses. It seemed this man had very little and was far more advanced than the average man. Already the gears were turning with who he was or rather, what he was. Eventually Amarantha made her move and Ahote was now fighting against three people and he seemed to be at ease with it. These women were far better than any he had fought today and they were giving him quite the challenge but he remained smiling the whole time. In the end, Amarantha was left to fight Ahote solo and they both absorbed blow after blow. Amarantha could feel the man holding back though and it impressed her immensely because she was fighting with everything she had. Still, she didn’t back down and a draw was eventually called. Breathing heavily, the commander beckoned for the mysterious warrior to follow her. The crowd booed but they were plicated easily when two new people finally got their chance to fight.
The pair walked through the crowd, Amarantha drilling Ahote with questions that he answered honestly enough until they reached the Palace barracks. Amarantha brought him over to several dummies set up and told him to show his skill. He started punching and kicking but only five seconds in, Amarantha stopped him.
”You’re true skill,” she ordered. Eyeing her, Ahote nodded and refocused. With each punch the dummies split in half, the last one shattering completely. Grinning, Amarantha beckoned him to follow once more and led Ahote inside the Palace. They reached a door where Amarantha simply looked at the guard standing there. He knocked before opening the door and Amarantha stepped inside.
”Prince Myrus, I believe I have found you someone who may be able to help with your situation. Meet Ahote Proudstar, also known as Thunderbird. You two play nice now.” Amarantha patted Ahote’s shoulder as she passed him. ”His hands glow red and he causes explosions. You’ll be doing a lot more ducking so you’ll get an excellent squat workout.”
Ahote looked at the woman stunned for a moment before he looked into the room at the silent boy.

Ahote Proudstar and Myrus Silvers

Ahote approached Prince Myrus out at the Palace Boat Launch. Most often Ahote found the Prince out here. For the most part, he left the Prince to his own devices. He was still new here, having been plucked out of the fighting ring by Amarantha, who turned out to be the commander of the Palace Guard and now his commander. She left him to his own devices as well, simply pleased that she had found someone to communicate with the gifted Prince on his own level. Ahote cleared his throat and purposely stepped on a branch in order not to startle the Prince as he approached. He stood beside the Prince and looked out at the water as well.

"I can practically hear your thoughts," he teased the Prince. Ahote's accent was still thick but he was having an easier time understanding the language here.

Myrus glanced up at his tutor, smiling slightly. It was almost the same sort of smile his sister, Luna, would get when presented with a beautiful new dress - or his sister, Valda, when she spotted some sort of furry creature in the woods. The depression that had clouded him for months seemed to have finally lifted - or at least, become more manageable, allowing him to function again without crippling fear and sadness. "What am I thinking then?" Myrus challenged Ahote.

Ahote grinned at the Prince and furrowed his brow, going into deep thought as he tapped his chin. Of course Ahote had no ability to read minds but he did have the ability to sense auras. Every person carried a sort of cloud with them. It could be in the literal or the figurative sense but Ahote tended to see a person's skin glow a different colour and that colour would generally tell him an emotion the person was experiencing. The emotion wasn't words specifically but once you knew how someone was feeling, it was easier to tell what they could be thinking. Myrus's aura was an arrange of different things but all continued to move in the same direction, even with the faint red tinge that seemed to constantly cloud the boy. That would be due to the specific nature of his power.

"Why is a raven like a writing desk?" He joked with his companion, although his tone was oddly serious. The elders used to pose that question when he, or the other children of his age were not thinking outside the box, when they were so consumed with one task, they forgot to think of the others. Most often it was followed with a stick hitting the top of their head. Thankfully Ahote was blessed with enhanced durability or he would have developed quite a few of those goose eggs.

Ahote didn't think Myrus had this problem though, quite the opposite. His aura was telling Ahote that he had quite the restless spirit, a yearning to be elsewhere then where he was. He was constantly looking outside the box, seemingly to ignore what was stirring inside of him. His love of family keeps him grounded but the Prince still dreams of elsewhere. Often Ahote would tell him stories of other lands in hopes to get the Prince to focus on himself for a change.

There were some things that seemed to cross cultural boundaries. Myrus had heard that question be posed before, typically by one of his nurses when he was a little boy. She had been a funny woman and he didn't remember what happened to her - except that she had been rather old. Maybe she had retired or something? He didn't know. "That wasn't what I was thinking," Myrus told Ahote, a little smirk on his face. "But... my nanny used to always say it was because she tied them together in the same question - and that's how they're alike." He never really enjoyed that answer as a little kid. "I always insisted that it was because they were like my sister, Valda... The writing desk was her as a Princess and the raven was her in the woods..."

"And why did you associate those two things with your sister?" Ahote asked curiously. It wasn't that Myrus was wrong. Ahote believed that everyone could interpret that question the way they pleased. It intrigued him that Myrus knew of the saying as well but that's what made travel so fascinating.

Myrus shrugged a bit, looking back at the water. "...My sister was kidnapped before I was born... So I never really saw her... just the empty places where she could have been," he mumbled. He remembered the empty bedroom that had been Valda's - there had indeed been an ornate writing desk in there. He remembered looking out his bedroom window, seeing ravens perching on the trees of the Forest, knowing that his sister was somewhere inside that vastness.

Ahote watched the Prince, watched his face and his stance shift as he spoke. He followed his gaze back out to the water. It really was rather soothing. "How did you feel about seeing those empty spaces? Knowing you had another sister but she was unable to occupy those spaces?"

He shifted, the energy crackling around his hands. He knew that Ahote was essentially trying to do some sort of counseling, but Myrus knew that he needed help. He had been hurting himself and he almost ran away. That had been his plan - to leave the Castle and his family forever while they were at Myth and Bruce's wedding. "...Scared," Myrus admitted, after a bit of reflection. "At least, at first... I didn't know if my sister was alive or not... I was worried for her... but... When I got a bit older, I'd go and hide in Valda's room when I was upset... I'd pretend that she was hiding underneath the bed and I would talk to her, tell her about my day, about the things that I had learned with my tutors..."

Ahote smiled softly while Myrus opened up to him. He watched Myrus's hands and how the power shifted there. At the very least he could bring it forward now instead of it coming on randomly. "Scared was one of the emotions you were feeling when your power first came forth wasn't it? And Valda, along with Luna, was one of the only ones to center you. She, or perhaps your family in general has been your center for your entire life. Please correct me if I am wrong or if I am missing something." Ahote was trying to get to the center of what drove Myrus's power. If you could figure out the trigger and the calming effect, it made learning control a lot easier.

He nodded quickly, his thoughts racing back to Valda's Coronation. Fleur and her crew had kidnapped his sister, Luna. They conjured up a dragon that may or may not have been real, followed by the arrival of a real dragon. Just thinking about it made his blood pump a little quicker and the energy around his hands intensified. "Th-they kidnapped Luna that day..." he whispered, some tears coming to his eyes. "I-I think they're going to do it again, soon... Sh-she's coming for my sisters...." he admitted, hugging his knees to his chest.

Ahote shifted and knelt down beside Myrus, watching him and his hands. Ahote had no issues being close to Myrus and the sooner the Prince stopped fearing his power, the better off he would be. "What makes you think this will happen? Because it has happened before?" Ahote knew a little of the royals and what happened with the Cradlesnatching. Such a bizarre concept but a very real thing in this land.

"Yes and no..." Myrus said softly, taking a deep breath and trying to look out at the water. The energy was still swarming around his hands and it wasn't going away. The more he talked about this, the more intense the color became, to the point that the energy seemed to almost become a solid in its own right. "She came to the wedding - Fleur - and she took someone's powers... I-I don't know how, but she's definitely coming for my sisters. She wants Valda dead and Luna to be a witch like her... I-I wish my family wasn't royal. I'd still have my parents and no one would have been kidnapped," Myrus sobbed. "I hate it!"

Ahote listened, remaining ever steadfast despite Myrus's growing emotion and power around his hands. He frowned. There at been lots of talk about this Fleur person as of late. It didn't look good for the people of the Castle to have this woman around. No wonder Myrus was in a fit over it. "You can't change the past or the cards you have been dealt Myrus but you can live in the present and make your future what you want it. Instead of wishing you were in a different situation than what you were given, with been royal. What is it you can do to ensure the safety of your family and your people. People who aren't royal are given even worse situations sometimes," he reminded the Prince.

"I can't ensure the safety of my family," Myrus said softly. There was a snap as some of the energy quite literally sparked off of his hands. "I can't protect my sisters from Fleur... I-I asked Valda if we could run, but she won't leave the Castle. And I'm scared that I'll have to bury my sister less than a year after I buried my mother." He took a shaky breath, feeling compelled to stand and he did so, his head feeling like it was spinning from emotion. "My family's cursed..."

"Maybe not, but you can help them Myrus. You have such little faith in yourself but I see such strength and compassion within you. For instance, your stuttering has slowed. If you wish to leave this place, I will go with you but if you want to remain then I think it is high time you change your thinking. No more doubting but believing. Everyday is a new beginning, remember?" He gave Myrus a little smile as Ahote stood back up. "Your control is growing as well. Not even a few short days ago would you have been able to hang on this long."

He nodded slightly, knowing that Ahote was right - each day was a new start, a new beginning and a chance to change one's destiny. Myrus didn't know what he wanted for himself - but he knew that he wanted happiness and safety for his sisters. Luna and Valda were the only family he really had left. Sure, they had some cousins and aunts and uncles but they all lived far away and hadn't paid much notice to the three teenagers ruling the Small Wet Country Across the Sea. "...I just don't want anyone to hurt Luna or Valda again," he said softly, the energy leaving his hands as he slowly calmed himself down.

Ahote placed a hand on the Prince's shoulder as the red colour of his unique energy faded from around his hands. "That is beyond our control but lets work on what we can control. Your power and ensuring that your sisters will not be left alone to fight for themselves."

"Okay..." Myrus said softly. "Thank you."

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: Asgard
Skills:

It had only been a week since Cuyler joined his mother and extended family on Asgard but what a week it had been. From combat training to enhancing his knowledge about the faith he grew up with and his new abilities, Cuyler’s mind was like a sponge for information. He was drained and exhausted by the end of every day but he was up before their version of dawn, ready to train more with his mother or whoever else she brought with them that day.
Today was no different but it was cut short, much to Cuyler’s disappointment but there was to be a wedding today! A redo of his old friend Myth’s and his new friend Bruce. Gods. That was another thing Cuyler couldn’t seem to get over. He was walking with legends. Gods he had learned about through stories and charting them in the stars. He thought he would have to end up in Valhalla in order to see any of them one day but here they all were!
With all this Magyk and knowledge Cuyler was learning, he did wish he had someone to share it with. Of course there was Arnora. The two of them had become fast friends in this past week, both learning things at an accelerated curve and Cuyler appreciated the challenge Arnora provided. Since she already knew of her powers and had a much better understanding of them then Cuyler did of his own. Still, there were nights were Cuyler couldn’t get to sleep because he felt an emptiness and a longing. He would often replay the last words he spoke to Arya and wish to return to her but him being here was for the best. They were of two different worlds now and Cuyler thought he belonged here on Asgard.

Amarantha

Location:The Palace Barracks
Skills:

The last week had been, well it had been more of a month within a week. A botched wedding, the wicked Witch of the West was back, Amarantha’s brief bomb’s specialist was now gone, Valda was still ruling how she wanted, Luna was still hearing voices and Myrus was suddenly on top of things. Oh! And the ExtraOrdinary Wizard was dead; however, the former one did come back to fill in temporarily. Not to mention all these new people Amarantha had to train in a hurry. It would be so much easier to fight fire with fire but the commander’s resources were limited.
It was supper time across the Castle though and Amarantha was taking a selfish moment away from her important duties to play devoted Auntie. She bounced baby Dawn around, swinging her up and down and made all manner of cooing noises in order to get the little angel to giggle, even if it was just once. It was amazing how such a small, innocent young thing could take so much turmoil away. Amarantha sat on the floor, placing Dawn down as well and watched her attempt to crawl and pick things up.
In the distance you could hear the distant clang of metal as training continued on. Supper was not enjoyed by everyone at once by the Palace Guard. No, they were on constant rotation. Amarantha tried to give everyone ample time for rest and relaxation since there was no immediate threat but there was a permanent anvil swinging over all of their heads. It had no specific name, it changed with the tide in this place but it was always there. Amarantha was the only one who was running herself ragged trying to plan options A through Z in order to keep her people safe.
”I wouldn’t mind a miracle right about now. You wouldn’t happen to have any untapped, omnipotent power would you?” Her question was directed at the five month old baby crawling around but she wouldn’t mind if a ghost Appeared to her or some other person with unlimited knowledge.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace -- Dining Hall
Skills:

Ahote sat at the table with the rest of the royals, rather enjoying the shared meal time they all had. In a weird way, Ahote thought they had all become some little messed up family. He smiled at Myrus before he picked up his glass of ale, drinking half of the contents before he set the mug back down and resumed his eating. He listened to the idle chatter of the family and the scratching of quill on paper as Princess Luna wrote. He oftened wondered what she wrote about so feverently but he didn’t ask questions. His main concern was the Prince and he remained focused on him.
Myrus spoke up and drew Ahote’s attention. Conversation most often shifted to the topic of Fleur these days. Myrus had been nearly obsessing over her but with the amount of fear this one person, witch as they called her, brought to the whole family, Ahote guessed it was warranted. The Prince’s tutor remained silent as the Princess asked what the Prince’s ideas were; however, Ahote was looking to the Queen, waiting for her reply.

Mona Windrider

Location: The Palace
Skills: N/A

It had been an odd thing, having the woman go from 'I'll chop yer hands off and feed them to yeh!' to 'Let's play follow the leader.' None the less, Mona took it in stride as she did many a thing. Unfortunately, the trail's end had not been as interesting as she had hoped. Just a single stone and a bit of hair. She had carefully wrapped the thing in a handkerchief and placed it into her full bag of lapis. It was there it generally stayed, save when Mona spared a moment to take it out and study it as if the hair would talk. But her talents lay not with things of such a nature. Just stone. Hard and honest stone.

She chucked a bit of ruined hay out into a wheelbarrow. She had Candace had been moved to the palace. Likely so that Aramantha could keep a good eye on the strange little witch. While she allowed the stable boys to do somethings, Mona was not likely to let even the dirtiest of works fall into their hands. This was her beast and friend and so everything fell to her to do. She had a good work ethic, despite her flighty and air-headed nature.

She finished putting fresh hay down and removing the old to the manure pile when her stomach rumbled loudly. "Aye, fit ta be callin fer reinforcements that," she said jokingly to her horse. The giant girl did not respond and Mona waved a hand in dismissal at her. "Alright, I can tell when the jokes gone rotten." She left the stables to wash up quickly and make her way down to supper. Unfortunately, and not for the first time, the young woman had gotten lost. She opened a door here and there, finding nothing that helped until she happened upon Aramantha playing with the wee babe. "That there's a sight I never thought my eyes would be seein'. Miss Grumps and Grumbles cooing at a wee bairn." Mona wore a smirk as she crossed her arms over her chest.

Bruce Banner

Location: Asgard

He wasn't going to lie, it was nice to be back home on Asgard again, he'd been gone for quite a while now, and he was glad to be back now. Wished it hadn't been quite like the way it was in order for him to really return, but there wasn't much he could really do about it. Asgard always would be his home, and he wanted Myth to go there at some point anyway, so this just was more of an excuse to go. Despite the fact that they were mainly there because his son needed Asgardian medical care at the moment.

Bruce went to go check on the baby, to see how he was doing at the moment. His spirits were lifted when he heard Halley say that another week and he'd be able to be alright without any sort of help, which was definitely a good thing. He didn't know where Myth was, though he wouldn't be too surprised if she came to check on their son while he was there. It definitely made some sense for her to do that, so he figured he might as well wait and see when she'd show up.

Queen Valda

Location:The Palace - Dining Hall

Valda was eating her food in the dining hall fairly quietly. She wasn't really wanting to be a part of any major sort of conversation, at least not at the moment when there was a very real threat that likely would be heading their way. Fleur and her witches were not ones to be messed with, that much was for certain, especially after the scene that they had caused at the coronation. She was worried about her sister, worried that they'd try to make her one of their own once more. The fact that her siblings safety was at risk was what concerned her, not her own since if Fleur had her way she knew that she'd be dead.

Hearing Myrus' words, Valda turned to look over at him, having known that the conversation likely was going to happen at some point no matter what. It had been put off far too long, so maybe now was the time to discuss it. She gave her brother a smile, thinking somewhat of what it was that she was going to say. "I'm all ready to hear what you have planned Myrus, let me know how I can help you and I'll do the best that I can."

Myth the Muse

Location: Asgard

Myth had been a nervous wreck since arriving at Asgard. Though she trusted the powers that be here (she had seen first hand at what they could do), she was now a mother. And a mother never stopped worrying about her child. She had been asking after him, checking on him whenever she was free. She had been asked (more like forced) into bed rest more often than not. She did give birth on the floor of the Wizard's Tower, after all.

She was free now from her prison cell. Going into the room to check on her son, she found Bruce waiting there. "Oh Bruce. How are you? Is he...?" She came over to see her child, still looking better every day. She sighed a bit in relief. She sat down next to her fiance, as they had not gotten married as of yet.

"It's hard to imagine it still, but I am a mother now. A mother of a child with Asgardian blood in him. Oh! I never asked if the name was all right. I wanted to name him Halden after my father, but I should have asked first. Is that all right?"

Fleur La Mallificum

Location: Port Witch House

Fleur began prepping as soon as the festivities were over. Meadow had left her with troops to use as she saw fit. Though she knew and relied on her Magykal forces, it was still good to have ground troops. She did not want to use the term "fodder", but essentially they would be used for distraction or other such purposes. No, the nitty gritty of this would rely on her flock.

Bernice and Constance had been helping her oversee the other witches and warlocks. She aided them when she saw they needed it, helping them master spells, dispel when possible, and work on enchantments and defense spells where applicable. She became invested in this now. She knew there was no better time to stage this. Though they knew of her now. They knew she was around and surely they knew she was coming. Which means they had time to prepare for her.

"They will know we are coming. So it is best we prepare for any scenario. They will have Magyk of their own to use, but the target remains the same. When Valda falls, the rest around her will fall too. Though, I have a plan that will tip the scales in our favor. Though we will need to go about it carefully. We have tried it once already with not much to show for it, but at least we know now what we did wrong."

Asgard - Some Time Ago....

It had been a while since the last of Lance's friends on Midgard had died and Runa finally looked like she was older than nineteen to the unaware observer. She bit her lip slightly, looking at her husband and feeling awful for him. While his father was still alive, everyone else he knew and loved was gone. "Lance..." Runa said softly, putting a hand on his shoulder. "I'd like to speak to you about something..."

"What is it Runa?" he asked her, looking at her with a smile.

"What would you think about having children?"

"I wouldn't be at all against it... Why do you ask?"

Runa led him over to the bed, sitting on it. Her feet didn't touch the ground - something that amused her slightly since Lance's did easily. "Well, I know I've always wanted children... And you've lost so much family..."

"Runa, I'd love to start a new family with you... Yeah, I've lost people over the years, but as long as I'm with you, I couldn't be happier."

She smiled at him, reaching out and taking his hand. "We'll have to ask the All-Father for permission... It's annoying but since you're... complicated biologically and so am I, if we had kids... They could be extremely powerful."

"Yeah, we probably should... Since who knows how strong those kids could be..."

"So you really like the idea of having kids?" Runa asked. "Since I know you miss Guin and all... Maybe this will help..."

"Yeah, I'm perfectly fine with the idea," he said still smiling at her.

Runa grinned at him. She then pulled him down onto the bed and kissed him, waving her hands slightly and the curtains in the room closed and the door locked.
A while later, Lance was heading with Runa towards the All-Father's palace. He wasn't too thrilled at the idea that they even really needed to talk to Thor about this sort of thing, but it couldn't be helped. "So... How do you think this conversation is going to go?"

"...He'll probably say no..." Runa mumbled.

"You don't know that Runa... I don't think that he would."

"You are an optimist..." Runa said sadly, entering the Palace. Thor wasn't there however - he was off in Midgard for the day and had left Klara in charge of things while he was gone.

"Looks like Thor isn't here..." Lance whispered to her. Klara was looking a little bored, not sure what she was really supposed to be doing, or what it is that she was supposed to be in charge of.

Runa got an idea and she suddenly smirked. "Okay, so that means Klara is in charge and if Klara says that we can have kids, then that's binding and I doubt her father will want to get into a fight with her... She's such a daddy's girl..." Runa mused.

"...Not sure how Thor would feel about that," he said with a slight chuckle at Runa's reaction to this. Klara looked over at the two, waving slightly with a smile. Runa shrugged, heading up to the throne where Klara sat and she took a knee, bowing to the temporary ruler of Asgard for the day.

"You don't have to do that Runa, so what brings you two over here?"

"...Lance and I are planning to have children."

"Oh you are?" Klara said with a smile, Lance nodded his head slightly at what Runa had said.

"We had come to ensure that the All-Father had no issue with it," Runa added.

"Well, my father isn't exactly here at the moment."

"Might you speak on his behalf, then?" Runa suggested. She knew it was manipulative of her but she didn't care. Even if Thor said no, she would just take Lance and his father and leave Asgard. They'd find a little planet of their own in another realm, another system.

"I don't know Runa... I didn't expect something like that when my father told me I was in charge for the day..."

Runa clenched her hand for a moment. "Klara... We will be good parents. Our children will be loved and they will not harm Asgard."

"I know, I don't doubt that they won't harm Asgard, I don't see why you two couldn't have kids. I'm fine with the idea, even happy for the two of you."

"And should the All-Father protest?"

"...I'll talk to him later when he gets back, I personally think it should be perfectly fine for the two of you to start a family of your own."

Runa nodded, giving her cousin a smile. She saw a flash out of the corner of her eye and she glanced outside. It was Halley's comet. Klara returned Runa's smile, and Lance glanced outside to see what it was that Runa was looking at. "Halley's comet," Runa explained to her husband softly.

"I know... Halley's Comet would pass by on Earth on occasion..." he said with a smile.

She just smiled, looking up at it. It was beautiful and she felt that it was a sign.

"I love you Runa..."
Asgard: May 11th, 12,508 - 6:45 PM

Runa gave Arnora a smile. She was wondering where her son and future daughter in law were, though she was practically positive it would be looking in on the sweet little newborn baby boy. "All the family members are assembled in the Great Hall already," she explained quietly, careful in case her voice carried. It reminded her of when she was little and she and Klara were hiding from Runa's older brother, Forseti, in these same halls. It felt like a lifetime ago. "If you would not mind helping me to locate Cuyler, that would be appreciated," Runa told Arnora. It was as much a request for aid as it was a slight test of Arnora's skills.

Meanwhile, in the nursery, the baby was fast asleep, unaware that his parents were present. The little flying puppy that Astrid had gotten them as a wedding gift was flying around the room, ready to attack anyone who dared to harm his young charge.
The Castle: May 11th, 12,508 - 5:45 PM

@KazAlkemi@eclecticwitch: At the Palace barracks...

Baby Dawn was crawling around, giggling happily and making incoherent baby babble. None of it seemed to be an untapped power or some sort of forbidden knowledge. The little baby was just that - an infant. However, Baby Dawn suddenly stopped, tilting her head and glancing at someone who appeared to come out of nowhere behind Amarantha and Mona. She had straight black hair, with a silky texture to it. Around her neck, there was a vial that appeared to contain crushed lapis lazuli stone. The woman smiled - the very same woman whom Skaoi had seen at the Manuscriptorium the night the ExtraOrdinary Wizard died. "The babe does not, but fortunately for you, I do," the woman introduced herself, holding out a gloved hand to either woman, whomever would care to take it. "I believe you two have been looking for me - I'm Apollodora Rincewind," she introduced. Although she wore a small mask on her face, Amarantha would be able to see her ice blue eyes.

@FantasyChic: Over in the Badlands, far from the Castle itself....

Constance and Bernice nodded, hearing Fleur's instructions. It was primarily just them at the moment, as well as a few other chosen few. They'd then pass on the information to the rest of the Coven, once a concrete plan had been decided upon. For the moment, they had been training without a plan - just using words and motivation to sustain themselves, without an idea of what they may face or what their objective would be. "And what is your plan?" Constance asked Fleur. There was no sarcasm or malice in her tone. She was simply requesting information.

"And how would you like us to enact it?" Bernice added, eager to get on with it. She wanted to spill precious Valda's blood on the ground and dedicate the Castle to its new ruler - the Witch Messiah! However, they were soon interrupted as Elysium Crow, the warlock from before, entered the space. He gave a slight curtsey to Fleur.

"The spies placed within the Palace's staff are reporting that the young prince is going mad with fear that you will strike imminently," he explained. "However, they also have brought interesting news... Prince Tristan left the Castle. There will be no marriage with Princess Luna."

"Meaning that the Castle will be caught in a war between the Land of Long Nights and Eastern SnowPlains," Constance concluded with a grimace.

Elysium nodded. "Precisely. The Castle is due to hold the Saecular Games in the fall as well - perhaps then would be the ideal moment for your plans, Witch Messiah," he advised.

Myrus Silvers

Location: the Palace - Dining Hall
Skills: N/A

Myrus nodded, looking at his sister Luna and he gave her a slight smile. He wanted to find a cure for the mental ailment, but he knew that they needed to focus on Fleur. Once that problem was dealt with, he could save Luna again. All he wanted was for his family to be happy and safe. He had been given these gifts for a reason, he thought as he glanced down at his hands. This had to be the noblest purpose he could think of putting them towards - the defense of his family. "Fleur is going to be expecting we use Magyk against her," Myrus explained softly. "And we can, but... I think that we need to use machines too." He glanced over at Ahote for a moment, wondering what he was thinking - if he thought the idea was horrible or not.

"Witches are used to fighting against other witches with Magyk so... why fight Fleur on her terms?" he explained, his ears turning red and he rubbed the back of his head, feeling a bit awkward. He wished Amarantha had been at the table - she knew someone who was skilled with machines. Myrus was pretty certain the guy he had in mind, the inventor, was friends with Luna as well. Maybe Luna would be able to send him a message rat and get him to come. Myrus then looked at Valda, swallowing a bit. He didn't like thinking about his sister's past as a Wendron Witch. "But um... Valda... You're going to need to let us practice... fighting you," he finished softly. She was the closest thing they had to a Fleur simulation.

"If we can trick you... then we can trick Fleur."

Princess Luna

Location: The Palace - Dining Hall
Skills: N/A

As Luna continued to eat her dinner she looked over towards her brother when he started to go over his plan, she thought that it was a pretty good idea. But Fleur wasn't so easy to trick either which was probably going to be a big problem for them, as she took a moment to look at her sister waiting to see her reaction. Luna took a sip from her water, she usually did just drink water and nothing else as she slipped her journal under her lap now. "Fleur is going to be a bit harder to trick though.." Luna finally said looking over towards her brother giving him an apologetic look, she hoped it wouldn't upset him but Luna had to admit Fleur was smarter than Valda and she was older than her sister was as well.

She took a moment to look at Ahote who decided to join them for dinner Luna was glad that Amarantha was able to find someone to help her brother with his powers. Luna still couldn't help but be jealous over her sister and brother, they seemed to have some ideas on what to do with Fleur and they could use magyk as well. Luna did start to wonder where Amarantha was, but she figured that her friend was busy with her own personal things, and training the guard as well which wasn't a bad thing either as well. Luna then finished eating the rest of her dinner and set her bowel and plate aside as well for the servants to take away for her.

Arnora Skadidottir

Location: Asgard
Skills: N/A

Arnora looked towards Runa and gave her a smile and nodded as well, she did have a knack for tracking down people as well. "Sure thing, i'll be sure to find him for you and meet you at the Great Hall." Arnora said as she started to turn around and closed her eyes for a moment, as she started to pick up his previous movements and quickly started to follow the trail that would eventually take her to Cuyler. As Anora looked around at the architecture she couldn't help but smile it was certainly amazing to be in Asgard as well. She could feel the trail getting warmer and eventually Arnora found Cuyler and Klara together.

Anora leaned herself up slightly against the wall looking over at the two of them, she also assumed that Klara would obviously be going to the wedding for Myth and Bruce. "Heya, sorry if I was intruding or anything but Runa has something set up in the Great Hall, everyone is there already right now." Arnora said towards the two of them, looking at Cuyler and smiled towards him she had gotten to know him pretty well and befriended him rather quickly.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: Asgard
Skills:

Cuyler took a break from sparring with his mother when Arnora showed up. He returned her smile and nodded, putting his sword away.
”Ah, preparations for the wedding are finally finished? I should probably go get cleaned up before going.” Myth would have his head if he showed up to her wedding as this sweaty mess. Of course, she didn’t know about the surprise wedding. Cuyler thought it was a great idea after their original one became ruined and with the stress of her babe needing immediate attention it would be good to have something joyous.
Cuyler had seen the child a couple of times now, going to check on Myth mostly but he didn’t ever linger long. It was a trying time and Cuyler didn’t want to invade more than strictly necessary. Still, the child was in good hands here and Cuyler knew there would be no problems with the babe soon enough.
He grabbed a towel and wiped his sweaty brow before he tossed it at Arnora. ”How’s training going for you?” He walked over to her but looked back at his mother. ”Am I still escorting you to the wedding?”

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Barracks
Skills:

The door opened and Amarantha scanned the woman who walked through the door. Mona had seemingly proved her worth in this last week but still, Amarantha kept her at arms length. She however did lean back on her hands and smirked at her with her unflattering comment.
”I can still cut your hands off whenever I want,” she warned her. Amarantha shifted again, watching the little thing crawl around. It was rather uncharacteristic of her to been seen in this way but there was a softer side to Amarantha. Granted it was buried deep down but it was there.
A voice behind Amarantha startled her and she jumped to her feet, withdrawing one of her hidden daggers and stood in front of the babe on the floor and Mona. Amarantha glared at the intruder who had expertently sneaked up on the commander. That bothered Amarantha greatly. Her eyes scanned the woman, noting the straight black hair and the unmistakable colour of Lapis Lazuli crushed in a vial around her neck. Seems the trail was being left by this woman. It would have been preferred if they found her first rather than the other way around but still, she was here now. Amarantha flipped her blade around before sliding it back into place on her leg and crossed her arms, not moving to take the woman’s hand.
”Rincewind. Related to the former Arya Rincewind I presume?” What would bring this person out of hiding now that Arya was gone? The resemblance was uncanny.

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace -- Dining Hall
Skills:

Ahote listened to the royals each speak in turn while he ate. He leaned back in his chair after completing his meal and looked at Myrus. He had excellent ideas but would they work?
”We also have the slight advantage of me being able to track some. If she leaves a trace of some kind that is,” Ahote offered the group. He had no doubt that this witch would be difficult to trick as Princess Luna suggested but they didn’t have many options. They would have to try. He looked at Myrus with a slight smile. He had been learning little bits here and there about his power and what it could do but for the most part, they were trying to work on control. The advancements would come later. But if he was going to practice on anyone else and get better, fighting someone with another powerful ability would be the way to do it and the Queen was one of those people. Of course, Ahote had the added benefit of healing quickly so if he took a direct blow from Myrus is didn’t much matter to him.
”I say we give it a shot. Make some plans over the next couple of days and start executing them. We can’t determine if something will or will not work if we don’t try it first and we do have the advantage of trying it in a controlled situation.”

Mona Windrider

Location: The Palace
Skills: N/A

Mona quickly tucked her hands behind her back and smiled politely. No. No hand-chopping today, please. She watched the baby for a long moment, remembering the times she had played with and cared for the children while she traveled with her people. It had always been a pleasure working with them. She especially loved it when they were wee, tiny little things. So fragile and precious.

She was brought out of her reverie when the babe looked at something. Mona's eyes followed and a voice caressed her ears. "I ain't sure I been lookin for no-one. 'Specially a dead one," she responded in quiet shock. She knew about ghosts and that they could appear to people around the parts. However, she had never expected to actually meet one. It was like meeting the Queen.

Amarantha seemed to have a better handle on the situation, as would be true of someone with military type training. "Yeh be the one droppin all them stones then, eh?" She didn't recognize the name her companion spoke but she supposed it had something to do with the lapis. Stepping into the room she protectively scooped the child into her arms. She wasn't sure what this person was going to do.

Bruce Banner

Location: Asgard

"Don't worry so much about him Myth, he is perfectly fine right now... My family knows what they're doing when it comes to things like this, so it's alright," he said, giving her a smile. He couldn't blame her for worrying, he worried about the baby as well, though he's gotten used to worrying having to deal with keeping an eye on the twins and Antonije on a pretty much daily basis. That sort of thing kind of came with the whole being a parent thing after all.

Hearing what her idea for the baby's name was, he just nodded his head. It seemed fine to him that she wanted to name the baby after her father. After all, he himself was named after his grandfather, well, technically. It was a constant misunderstanding that his grandfather's first name was actually Bruce, but that was his middle name. "The name Halden sounds like a good name for him Myth," he said soflt, still smiling at her, unsure of really what else to say at the moment.

Queen Valda

Location:The Palace - Dining Hall

Valda raised an eyebrow looking over at him. He wanted to practice fighting witches in order to more easily prepare? She understood the thinking behind it, since after all that was the sort of thinking that could likely help them out. Though she was guessing that tricking Fleur in any sort of way as going to be fairly difficult on it's own. The woman from what she knew wasn't one you could trick fairly easily, so they were going to have to do some creative thinking in order to pull that one off.

"That sounds like a great idea Myrus," she said to her brother, smiling at him, "I never thought to try that sort of thing, and I swear at this rate we've tried just about everything else possible when dealing with the witches... We are definitely running out of options, we need to do something quickly to prepare, otherwise who knows what Fleur will do... I will be happily to let you all practice against me." she said, reassuringly. She understood where Luna was coming from, but it was an idea that was different then just about every other time they've tried to attack Fleur. Maybe it was time that they tried something new.

Asgard - Thousands of Years Ago....

Klara had decided on an activity to do that day, and it required her to drag her 10 year old cousin Runa along with her. That plan, was to teach Runa how to swim! "Come on Runa, it'll be fun!" she said happily as she dragged Runa over towards the falls.

"Okay... Setty was going to come over later," Runa reminded Klara, referring to her adult brother, the God of Justice and Retribution. He had recently been appointed by Odin to run one of Asgard's courts and he was taking to it like a natural. Runa's parents had gone down to Midgard for their anniversary, meaning that Forseti was going to come over and stay with Runa that evening.

"Of course he is, the most annoying person in the world!" Klara said with a bit of a laugh, before they reached the Falls. "Now, I so declare that you need to learn how to swim! So that is what we're going to do!"

"Isn't the Falls dangerous?" Runa asked. "Aren't we not supposed to be here?" she added. Her hair fell in her face.

"Only if you don't know what you're doing... And no one's told me not to be here! Not really anyway, they just made suggestions... Besides, how are you supposed to learn how to swim if you don't go to where there is water?"

Runa winced slightly as Klara lied. It was a bit painful when people lied, like she was being poked in the back with a needle. "Okay Klara, whatever you say..."

"So, into the water we go!"

Runa nodded, just jumping into the water without any hesitation. She trusted her cousin to make sure she didn't get hurt. Klara hadn't expected Runa to just jump in like that, her eyes growing wide slightly, before she jumped into the water after her. The force of the water fall had created a large current and since Runa was wearing boots and didn't know how to swim, she struggled to stay afloat. Gasping for air, her lungs filled with water as she went under and didn't resurface.

"Runa?" Klara said instantly, panicking, before she dove downwards, trying to find where Runa had disappeared to. It wasn't hard for her, she could easily breathe underwater, but she was freaking out now.

The current was pushing Runa along, further and further down the river. Even though she was Asgardian, Runa was fairly young and she passed out, the water still filling her lungs as she limply drifted along. Klara was attempting to create a bubble around Runa, in order to protect her from the water, and hopefully slow her down enough for her to catch up and pull her out of the water. She was successful for the most part, the bubble forming around Runa's head and it caused her to drag against the current.

Klara swam over to her cousin, grabbing her by the arm and started pulling her towards the surface. Klara was trying to stay calm, but inside she was starting to panic. While she managed to pull Runa to the shore, her cousin still wasn't breathing. Her lungs were filled with water. She started using her powers to pull the water out of Runa's lungs, and now she was really starting to get worried about this, she hadn't expected Runa to just jump in like that, but now she was just concerned with hopefully making sure that Runa doesn't die.

Runa then began to cough, hacking up water out of her lungs and her fingers twitched. Sparks of light seemed to buzz near her as the young Asgardian slowly regained consciousness.

"R-R-Runa? Are you okay?" Klara stammered, looking at her.

"I-I'm fine..." Runa mumbled.

"A-A-Are you sure?"

Runa nodded, still coughing up quite a bit of water. She sat up slowly, completely drenched. Her hair had come out of its braid and was sticking to her skin everywhere.

Klara used her powers to dry Runa off the best that she could, "...Let's get you home."

"I thought you wanted to go swimming, Kla..."

"I-I-I think this was a bad idea..."

"Oh..." Runa then looked down at her feet, little bits of darkness swirling around her. "I-I'm sorry..." she mumbled, tears in her eyes.

"It wasn't your fault Runa, don't worry about it." she said, giving her cousin a smile.

Runa didn't say anything, slowly walking back home. She seemed pretty down and sad, hardly surprising given that her cousin had been so happy to go swimming and then Runa ruined it by nearly drowning.

Klara looked over at her, before giving her a hug, and trying to use her powers over emotions to somewhat make her feel better, she didn't tend to use them all that often. She didn't blame Runa for what had happened, she more of blamed herself for it. She should have been more careful when telling Runa about getting into water, and her cousin nearly drowned because of. Runa instantly cheered up thanks to Klara's emotional manipulation and she hugged Klara back. "Love you Kla."

"Love you too Runa, now let's get you back home."
Asgard: May 11th, 12,508 - 7:00 PM

Runa was rather pleased with her student. Not only had Arnora been growing with her abilities, but she was learning her way around Asgard quickly. She remembered that it had been a few decades before she herself was truly able to know where to go while thinking effortlessly about it. Once, when she had been scarcely thirteen years old, hardly even alive yet, she had actually gotten lost in these very halls. Her brother, Forseti, had found her and took her home. "No need," Runa told Cuyler, before her hands took on a slight glow to them and by Magyk, Cuyler would be cleaned and dressed in traditional Asgardian garb. "Klara, if you would not mind taking Arnora and Cuyler to the hall, I'll go inform Myth and Bruce of the happy surprise."

"Of course Runa," Klara said with a bit of a smile. She was happy to help out with this second chance at giving Myth and Bruce another wedding. Turning, she glanced over at Cuyler, "I guess you could say I might be more of escorting you two over there, so come along, everyone else is likely already there waiting." She then led Arnora and Cuyler over to the Great Hall, where an aisle had been formed out of rose petals. The seats were simple but tastefully done, with a stone alter at the front where the swords Bruce and Myth would exchange with each other were placed. Klara would be officiating the wedding, more or less, as the All-Mother and in her capacity as the Goddess of Love.

Bruce's adopted children were curiously absent, as was his adopted son's girlfriend who had more or less tagged along to Asgard.

Meanwhile, Runa had tracked down her son and future daughter in law in the nursery. Bruce was striking her as rather withdrawn and quiet, which to some might have been a cause for concern, but her son had always been a man of extremes. He was so much like his namesake and grandfather that way. She just hoped that he showed Myth the affection and attention that she deserved. Keeping her voice low so as to not disturb her grandchild, she came into the room and began speaking to the pair, "I have a surprise for the both of you."

"Now please, do come quickly... Everyone is waiting." She couldn't help but smile slightly, not worried if they figured out what the surprise was or not. Assuming that the pair decided to follow her, she led them to the Great Hall, where everyone else would already be seated. "Today is your wedding day. Perhaps this one will be what you have hoped for."

@KazAlkemi@eclecticwitch: At the Palace barracks...

While Apollodora's brother, Caspian (known as Rainbrook) had traveled back in time to this period, he had been careful not to reveal his true identity. He didn't want to mess up the timeline. However, his younger sister didn't seem to have the same concern for the integrity of the universe. Apollodora was of the school of thought that everything was a circular loop - that whatever actions she took simply were meant to be and if she decided to reveal who she really was, well, then that was just how the universe needed it to be done.

"Yes, if you call being her daughter related," Apollodora said cheekily. While she resembled Arya greatly, she seemingly had a more candid sense of humor. There was a certain aura of stiffness about her, similar to Arya's near suffocating formalisms. Baby Dawn started squirming in Mona's arms, and a foul scent would alert Mona that dear Baby Dawn had just promptly soiled herself.

"Lapis lazuli," Apollodora explained, tapping the vial. "It's what is allowing me to not fade from existence. However, that's neither here nor there. Unlike my father, mother, brother... Well, basically everyone else in my family, I'm not out to save the world." She gave Amarantha a slight smile, as if they had a special connection. "But given that my existence is threatened, I'm here to fix the mess that my brother has made. I'll require your help. In exchange, I'll tell you what you need to know about my mother."

"She isn't dead," Apollodora said simply. "What happened to her is far worse than death. She's trapped in a parallel dimension."

@FantasyChic: Over in the Badlands, far from the Castle itself....

Will update here next round once Fleur is posted for.

Myrus Silvers

Location: the Palace - Dining Hall
Skills: N/A

Myrus nodded, thinking for a moment before he was struck with a vivid memory once more. He had been in such pain a week ago when it first occurred to him, but now he had an uncanny feeling that it had something to do with their current situation. Taking out the ring once more, Myrus set it down on the table so that way all could see it. "Then there's this... After I prayed to the gods, a-and I was going to hurt myself... I had... had a memory of sorts, of when our father gave me this ring," he began softly. "He said it would allow me safe passage through the hellfire and... I always thought that was a metaphor but..."

He bit his lip slightly, hoping no one would think this was too silly. "What if it wasn't? Maybe whatever he meant by it... is how we protect ourselves from Fleur?"

At least Valda was willing to let them practice against them - that was a relief to Myrus. He knew that Valda didn't have the same scope of power that Fleur did, but they were both witches. It would be a better way to practice defending themselves than just about anything else he'd be able to come up with. Myrus took another breath, taking a drink but his tongue still felt incredibly dry no matter what he did. His ears were ringing slightly from the panic and fear that Fleur inspired in him. She hadn't even made a move against them and Myrus was losing sleep, afraid of what she could do to his family.

Myth the Muse

Location: Asgard

Myth understood, but she was a mom now. One does not simply allow their child to be looked after without worry. "I may not know much about mothering, but I believe one of the key factors in it is constantly worrying about my child. Even when he is 40 years old, I'll be worried. Heck, I'm sure even your mom to this day is worried about you, god or not."

Before she could continue, Runa walked in and beckoned them. She stood up, glancing again at Halden before she followed with Bruce. She reached for his hand as a sort of security blanket. If she had to leave her care to others, even capable Asgardians, she needed to be consoled.

"Others? What do you..." And Runa outlaid the idea. A new wedding for them since the last one was ruined. She could cry again. "And no childbirth to ruin it this time."

Fleur La Mallificum

Location: Port Witch House

Fleur had thought long and hard about the plan. There were a few steps to take and they would need a back-up, just in case. "Jezebel shared a vision with me. A baby. One of great importance to the royal family. We already tried to take Luna, they may feel we will attempt her again. I have no qualm about it, but I believe the child is of greater interest. Collateral, if you will, in case our plans do not come to fruition."

"They will be setting up defenses against us, so we need defenses here of our own, in case they launch an attack. Have our most experienced setup wards around here and make sure the children are far away. We will need to call on other allies. Any who would be willing to help. We have Meadow's forces, but we will need more. If either of you has ideas, please share. I will do what I have to."

"This is going to be costly, but if we are victorious, the realm will be ours. We will wait until the time is right. Soon. In the meantime, we continue to train and bolster our own Magyk."

Princess Luna

Location: The Palace - Dining Hall
Skills: N/A

Luna looked towards Ahote for a moment, remembering him mentioning his tracking before but she wasn't sure if that would be enough either being a single person and all. She turned her attention towards her brother when he mentioned when she had found him in the attic now Luna felt bad that she couldn't have helped her brother with whatever was wrong with him at the time. Mentioning their father Luna thought for a moment she really wasn't sure what was the ring that he had given him. She reached over and started to fill herself another glass of water.

Luna did wish that she could see their mother or father again, she wanted to help out somehow as she looked at Myrus and then the ring. "Is there any kind of inscription on it, maybe take it to the scribes or wizards see if theres anything that it can do?" Luna asked her brother and sighed slightly. "I want to help as well, but I don't know what I can be useful with either." Luna said quietly. "I can act as bait for them maybe?" Luna suggested even she hated the idea she wasn't sure what else she could do to help.

Arnora Skadidottir

Location: Asgard
Skills: N/A

Arnora looked over her shoulder and gave Runa a smile, she felt much more relaxed here with these people back home she did feel a little bit out of place and always did hide being a demigod from anyone. She turned her attention over towards Cuyler as he tossed her his towel and shook her head slightly. "Well thanks for making me smell like you now." Arnora said with a slight smirk as she set the towel down on the floor. "It's going really well, learning a lot." She said looking over towards Runa and gave her a smile, glad to have a teacher like her then turned towards Klara when Runa said to take them to the Grand Hall now.

"Cant wait to see the bride and groom to be." Arnora said, as she started to follow Klara down towards the Great Hall, once they were there she took in everyone that was there. She also noticed how nice it looked, looking over towards Cuyler's mother and smiled slightly towards her. "You really did a great job Klara." Arnora said towards her as she took in everyone in the room seeing all the gods and goddesses in one place again. She did notice that none of the Banner's adopted kids were anywhere to be seen and wondered where they all were exactly. "Where is Bruce's adopted kids at?" Arnora asked.

Cuyler Eysteinsson

Location: Training Point ---> Great Hall -- Asgard
Skills:

Cuyler grinned at Arnora’s response but then his face switched to shock as he was cleaned and clothed in fine dress, traditional to Asgard. Cuyler looked down at his clothes and smiled before he looked up at the three woman.
”Wicked,” he said simply. He would never get over the raw power of Asgard. He thanked Runa for the helping hand before she departed and then his mother made note that she would more or less be escorting them. Cuyler chuckled and nodded.
”I guess so. Maybe we can start combining some of our training sessions Arnora, or do some extra training on the side. What do you think?” He asked as they walked through Asgard to the Great hall.
With the limited time that they had they definitely made the place look stunning and fit for a wedding. It was simple, yet perfect. He smiled, looking around as he moved to take a seat. Everyone was spread out but Cuyler departed from Arnora’s side to take a seat on the bride side of things. Ravyndra, or Myth as she was more well known as, had been Cuyler’s friend for a rather long time and since she had no biological family, he thought showing his support this way would be the best he could do.

Amarantha

Location: The Palace Barracks
Skills:

Her daughter. Holy time travel Batman, what else would be next. Amarantha ran fingers through her hair as Apollodora explained who she was, why she was here and finally, what she needed. Of course. People always needed something but the nice thing about this charmer was, she was offering up something as well. Knowledge on the ExtraOrdinary Wizard. Who apparently, was not dead, simply trapped. What else was going to happen in Amarantha’s life time? Dwarves singing with Princesses? A ghastly revolution throwing the monarchy aside?
”Since I have recently discovered time traveling is a thing, I am inclined to believe you. The former ExtraOrdinary Wizard, your mother. Can we bring her back here in a timely fashion? I’m on a bit of a time crunch unfortunately.”
A foul smell reached Amarantha's nose and her stomach tightened. The assassin could handle many things. Spoiled milk, disembowelment, festering wounds but a dirty diaper? That was were the line was drawn. She gave Apollodora a look of annoyance before she turned and looked at Mona.
"Could you handle that? I'm in a meeting."

Ahote Proudstar

Location: The Palace -- Dining Hall
Skills:

It was good news that the Queen was on board with her brother’s plans. Ahote was looking forward to the journey and adventure this would bring them all. Prince Myrus shifted beside him and placed a ring on the table. It was a beautiful thing but Ahote didn’t touch it. He simply looked and listened to Myrus’s tale. He knew of the former past Myrus had and was glad his former plan never came to pass. The idea of the ring though, that could possibly be something.
Princess Luna made a suggestion on transcriptions. Ahote couldn’t see anything from this angle but perhaps there was something on the inside. The idea of using her as bait though, turned his very full stomach. There had to be a different way. Fleur would come and attack no matter what. Maybe the best option was just to prepare and wait for her to show. Plan a trick for then.
”To protect you all? How would you suggest doing that Myrus? Breaking it apart perhaps? That might ruin whatever Magyk is inside it though. Perhaps your ExtraOrdinary Wizard may know of something. Or an Alchemist?”

Mona Windrider

Location: The Palace
Skills: Baby Handling

Her eyes glazed over in confusion. She had absolutely no idea what the apparition was talking about. Parallel dimensions? She had been many places in her life and done a great many things. None of it prepared her for what was happening now. Mona decided the best thing to do was let her partner in crime deal with this. She seemed to understand and know a lot more than Mona did. She turned her attention to the one thing she did understand and that was the baby.

It became apparent to all in the room with a functioning nose that the child had soiled her diaper. Amarantha even made a comment. And though she didn't like the way the very important woman spoke to her, she would do her duty to the babe. So she deftly set about changing the diaper. It was an easy, messy process and once the powder had been applied to the infant's bum she wrapped the child in a new cloth and pinned it together. What was she to do with the messed one though? She glanced at Aramantha in the hopes that she might know.
