In many timelines, and in many worlds heroes fight, and they strive to seek their goals be it to save their friends, and comrades, or to help the people. Maybe seem just strive to seek an absolute truth. In seeking that they set out on a journey, and unending quest to reforge society, the world, people, you name it. But at the end of that journey...what exactly is left? They fight the villains, rescue friends, and see that the world is better than what they left it. But often they lose friends, and comrades along the way...sometimes they lose their lives. Many folks worship their sacrifices as heroes. Others die prematurely a strict showing of fate's innate cruel nature. Some die old, some die young. It matters not but what they accomplished.

In seeking the truth of the world they sacrifice, and they struggle. The never ending heroes journey...but what happens after that death exactly? What happens when they last see their love as they pass away, or struggle out a smile to wish their friends a better future? Maybe they died alone?

In a mansion in the void of all reality resides a place, similar enough to a hotel of sorts. A being lives isolated from all but the most demonic, or angelic beings. This being unknowingly powerful, and unflinching honest sits as the last judge of many of these heroes. Some float past him, but many are forced to acknowledge this one. Alone in the world with all but a young man clad in a white suit, and fedora with blonde hair who serves him as an assistant.

This being brings together the lost souls of the fallen, or deceased heroes, and offers them a simple deal. It starts with a simple question: "Are you satisfied with your life? How you lived? How you died? Your accomplishments? Your legacy, and failures?"

The Being is simply above such petty things, and whether he truly cares for the answers, or not is pointless.

The follow up question is more important.

"An offer I give to you. A simple one. Trade yours services to me. Fight for things that should be, must be, and will always be. A sentinel of a fate. Your soul shall be bonded to me, and this place. You may continue your fight. Not in your world but in many others. Things that must be are not, that's that must be do not, and will always be are for some reason never. You will be bound heart, soul, and existentially to this role. In exchange once you have passed enough trials. You may choose...reincarnation back into a world, the rekindlement of your old life to start back as if you had never died, or simply to fade away. You may always chose to walk away. To accept death truly, and utterly. Tell me hero? Are you satisfied? Or do you wish for more?"

"But this is not immortality. You may die completely soul, and body if you fall while bonded to I. This place, this world will be your haven, or your hell if you make it be so. That is up to you."

In this place be it hell, or Valhalla, or a chance to save others this being offers another chance. And by accepting it you chose to surrender yourself to the whims of fate. So...is it yes? Or no?

To those who awaken from their death find themselves on a room, the room simply furnished in something they would find familiar. They remember all about their former life...but as soon as they find their wits a knock on the door happens...and that is when their journey starts.

Rules:
1. All standard roleplay rules apply. God modding, power playing, and disruption of the roleplay aren't allowed
2. As GM I reserve the right to refuse, or to deny anything I feel fit.
3. Power levels are not allowed to go into levels of planet, or continental busting.
4. This is not a roleplay for things like the DC, Marvel, Fallout, or other sources. Universes, and timelines are to be entirely OC. Same with characters. You may take aspects from things if you desire. This is meant to be in the middle of things like typical Isekai.
5. Players must complete a CS before joining the IC.
6. Players may choose to allow their pc's to die at any point to remake, or choose a new character. But PVP must be agreed on before hand with the two players in, and out of character.

Ah. makes sense. i have few more questions.
Since our characters are already established heroes does that mean, there's no rookies in the group?
Also how fleshed out do the worlds of our characters have to be? I mean will we be taking trips to other character's worlds?

Not necessarily. Heroes don't need to be experienced to be heroes. However they do need to make a big enough impact to be considered heroes. In other words be a part of, or actually lead a big change in a country, destiny, or fate of the world. Not all people need to be bright eyed idealists to clarify that preemptively.

We will only be taking trips back to the world of the Sentinels, our characters, if, or when the player requests that a twist of fate happens there. Detail should be fair but it doesn't need hardcore the main principle should be fleshing out the hero in question, and their impact on the world.

Hey so just so everyone knows I'm still in this. Just trying to figure out my character's powers, the rules and what not(and in doing so maybe give some people ideas/ inspiration for possibilities), then from there I'll be able to generate the rest of the character pretty easily(hopefully).

The idea is my character's aura is going to be split in half with a demonic(none-human) entity. The entity will have several forms and will kind of work like a cross between a symbiote from Marvel and the Zanpakuto from Bleach

1st form the entity/ soul will exist entirely inside of the host and will basically keep him healthy via "devouring" anything negative like cancer cells, wounds, chemicals released as a result of fatigue cuts, etc, etc. Basically if its inside him, it'll heal him, by eating problems. (still trying to figure out the repercussion this would have)

2nd form will have the entity existing outside of the host like a suite. At which point in will act as a body of armor and enhancer of strength, senses, and allow for the human to attack things which normally can't be touched by physical means

3rd form will focus the entity around the user's hand and will act as a sort of weapon.

4th form, and possibly final will have the entity move away from the host entirely and form a barrier/ dome for a specific area, which the entity will be able to activate its main effect.

So basically the forms separate the entity from the user more and more, thus increasing the entity's abilities but at the cost of the high levels of regeneration/ immunity it grants its host in its dormant forms.

So yeah, that's all I"ve got so far (Would have more but been dealing with some relationship problems, and a full shift at work >< ),

The character's first form will need a repercussion, if not a hard limit on what it can, and can't do. This isn't street level stuff but its not dbz where you shrug off getting your whole body broken by eating magical beans.

The npc characters I intend to start off with are a boy with intense lightning powers combo'd into physical, and somewhat ranged attacks. And the other one is a more ranger sort of character from a universe similar to darker than black. One more character will be a girl but she won't be with us on missions but she is 'a part of the group'. Essentially she's abusing one of the clauses of the contract. But not maliciously.

This sounds fun. I'll have to think of a character to use. Mind if I wait for a few CS's so I can fill in a role/niche that isn't taken by others? Best do that instead of using the same few characters I tend to use for this RP type xD.

Personality:
Since She's traveled the multiverse (one of them, or possibly just a really big universe ) and has seen how ugly things can be. So she always does her best to lift up people's spirits, because people can't just off bread and water. They need hope to keep them going. So in front of a crowd Jasper meets everything with a can do attitude that can border on obnoxious to many, a huge reassured smile, and flourish.

Within Jasper's heart there beats a spark, it dims now and again, but its always there, pushing warmth into her blood like a needle full of wonderful drugs into her veins. It's that spark that keeps her going when the cynicism and world weariness being to take their toll, and she feels the ever growing desire to give up and go home. It's a lust for adventure, battle, and taking advantage of whatever chance may come up to give her an opportunity to test her metal against whatever power the forces of evil may present to her. She also hates when people tell her she can't do something and loves nothing more than proving them wrong and then shoving a boot up their assets.

History:
Jasper, along with 25 other individuals found themselves on a planet filled with every possibility luxury and pleasure the mind could ever conceive. None of these individuals knew who they were or how they got there, but the questions were soon lost in the paradise that was their planet. All except for Jasper who roamed the world, eventually finding a gateway which led her off world, and so her adventure began, moving from one planet to another, righting wrongs.

Jasper's adventure came to an end when she faced off against not just a god, but THE GOD, or at least an entity which claimed to be so, and had the powers to back it up. If not for the backing of every other deity and fate the cosmos had to offer Jasper would've died a thousand times along the way. Eventually, she found herself at the heart of the god, naked and battered, with every piece of weaponry and inch of power left at the door. Her naked form was covered in blood and the god mocked her for being there, at the journey's end without anyway to destroy its body, a small marble sized sphere. Not one to take mocking lightly, Jasper grinned, took the orb in her hand, put it in her mouth, and bit down, hard. There sphere exploded with a trillion supernovas of energy. There was enough power to fuel the big bang several times over. Needless to say, the roof of her mouth did little to stop the explosion from vaporizing her brain.

Description of Power Effects: Jasper's body produces an aura around her that's invisible to most living entities. On it's own it can't do much, maybe limit a few blows from weak spectral beings, or make her easier to find to entities that can search for such things.

Weaknesses of Spell: Jasper's aura is connected to her physical well being so over using it can lead to exhaustion, unconsciousness or even death.

Knowledge-Aura constructed items are similar to computer codes in that she needs the right amount of data to be able to form one.
Permission/ right to useThe more powerful constructed weaponry can only be bestowed upon by higher entities, and cannot be duplicated/ used even with the proper creation data.
Energy Usage-Creating and maintaining Aura constructed items can be extremely taxing. After a certain amount of stamina has been used the user most manually deactivate the item or risk unconsciousness or even death.
ConstructionThe more powerful/ complicated a ACI is, the longer it takes to create. Though, the longest items take about ten seconds, which doesn't seem like much to most people it can be life or death in a great deal of dangerous situations.

Name of Power: ACI Mammon
Range of Power: Long
Description of Power Effects: chains which the user can attach to an object and either teleport herself or said object to her. Links don't cease to exist when an object, or the chains do and continue until the user makes a conscious effort to recall the object. The chains can be attached to any surface and Jasper does use them occasionally as a form of grappling hook.
Casting Limit: The chains take about a second to construct and Jasper can use them freely so long as she has enough stamina
Weaknesses of Spell:
Quantity- There is a total of eight chains
Surface restrictions- Teleportation effect can only work if the surface of either end of the object is capable of sustaining the weight of the other.
Stamina Drain

Name of Power: ACI Asmodeus
Range of Power: Medium
Description of Power Effects:A flute which allows for the communication/ influence of animals
Casting Limit:
Construction- takes two seconds
Casting
Construction-The Call of the Wild takes 2 seconds to construct
Frequency-May be used as long as the user possess stamina
Weaknesses of Spell:
Power of Influence-The more simple an entity's mind the easier it is to assert control, while the more complicated an entity's mind, the more difficult it is. Attempting to use the flute on individuals with hyper intelligence usually results in the creatures being induced into a rage state.
Power of Understanding-The user hears music as thoughts of the creatures. The more intelligent an animal the easier it is to understand while simpler of creatures only come through as feelings or vague notions.
Complexity of music-Jasper is still learning how to play the flute, and cannot do so while under stress or on the move
Stamina Drain-Minimum

Construction-The Rolland takes 4 seconds to forge
FrequencyThe Rolland may be summoned if, and for as long, the user has stamina
Weaknesses of Spell:
Bullet Range-The bullets travel about a 100 Meters before they began to slow
Bullet Accuracy-The weapon's isn't the best for precision work, as the bullets tend to leave the muzzle in a wide spray.
REcoil-Jasper has to take care when using the weapon as misuse of the weapon could lead to injuring thanks to the powerful recoil.
Bullets- The .22 Caliber bullets aren't special in any way shape or form. They're not even armor piercing.
[u]Casting-[/]The bullets and spent castings are physical and so can create a hazard if the user does not keep aware of how they're building up around her.

Description of Power Effects: pair of special gloves/ gauntlets, which run up to the user's elbows. Said gloves are black and appear to be made of fabric but are extremely hard and heavy. Said gloves are able to cancel out special defenses such as aura barriers, flame shields, and psychic walls, and nullify healing/ recovery abilities that aren't biological in nature. So if a god gets punched by the wielder, the chip tooth isn't coming back.

Range of Power: Long
Description of Power Effects:A blade with the ability to cut/ damage and manipulate separation(Physical, esoteric, Symbolic and supernatural/ paranatural)
Casting Limit:
Construction-The Excalibur takes 10 seconds to construct
Frequency-The Excalibur can be summoned and maintained so long as the user has stamina.
Weaknesses of Spell:
Activation- In order for Jasper to activate the sword's ability, she must move the blade forwards or upwards. If this cannot be done, say while a capable sword master is keeping her on the defense, the sword's abilities won't activate .
Immunity-Excalibur cannot or will not use its abilities against physical items in use as weapons or armor such as other swords, bullets in motion, etc, etc. Note-It can be used against robots or creations/ creatures with skin which would normally repel sharp attacks.
For example, if an alien with thick skin that couldn't be attacked was attacked, her sword's ability wouldn't any problem slicing the skin, but if there were shoulder pads or a chest guard on the same creature the blade wouldn't be able to cut through it.
Range of Effect-The Range of Excalibur's effect is dependent upon the speed and range of the motion used to activate it. So if there's not a lot of space to swing the sword, the user can't effect much.
Stamina Drain-Immense Stamina Drain

Special Talents:

Weapons:
Galactic Adapter-A special adapter which allows for objects to be charged from outlets which aren't specifically designed for said objects
Scouter-Advanced Binoculars with multiple vision modes, and world class zoom in features
Plasma Rifle-Plasma rife capable of single, or 3 burst fire. 180 shot charge
Plasma Blade-Plasma blade. Battery has a 2 hour charge.

Armor/Clothing:
Sealed Bioshuit- Beneath Jasper's casual clothing she wears a hermetically sealed ballistic suit which allows her to exist in a vacuum, or survive in temperatures normally outside the range of even an Omega's capacity. The suit has a foldable helmet, kept in a pouch which connects with a hose that allows it to recycle air for up to thirty minutes.

I think I've settled on a character finally, just don't have time to finish this CS since I have work in the morning. Tomorrow's my half day so it should be done before I sleep! I've been feeling mythical lately so might be going with a dullahan inspired character!

Sorry by the way, I always mull over characters a lot. Character sheets and a character's first post always take me forever!
