Room number (???). The kaiju needed to find the room before a certain sound went off. Clearly this dimension was a mirror of 'hell' it had once heard of.
To expect a new comer to a strange dimension that had no such thing as a physical anything or time, to now navigate this alien environment controlled by an invisible construct called time. Whatever the principle considered as punishment for the advance class that accidentally ripped Sul from the home plane of oblivion was obviously not severe enough for it's liking. Maybe the principle could allow Sul to watch the unimaginable torture called, after school choirs.
