Lmpkio's Characters N' Monsters
Name:
| "Titanus horus" | "Horus" | "The Crimson Eclipse" | "The Red Devil" | "Pharaoh/King/God of the Skies" |
Appearance:
Enwrapped in a dark crimson hue, Horus' body plan heavily resembles that of a pterosaur - more specifically compared to those within the Azhdarchidae family (ex: Quetzalcoatlus, Hatzygopteryx, Arambourgiania, etc). His massive, yet slender, beak is sleek in design and curved slightly downwards to accommodate for its carrion and pescatarian life style. It even sports a trio of teeth-like tusks on his lower jaw, ensuring that none escape its maw as they fall into his large pouch.
It's body shape, along with the shape of size of his osteoderms, makes Horus look as if he has a hunched over when on land. His crimson skin also varies in different hues, being more dark on the top and lighter at the bottom. Even his eyes are blood-red in color. Horus also sports three winged fore-claws on his wings, with the middle claw being nearly as big as his largest rib bone. It is theorized that it is utilized in combat with other creatures or utilized when hunting large megafauna. His three tail "spikes" are tipped in a venomous yellow, however no evidence of venom glands have been identified within. Possible function is either to attract mates or ward off foes by fooling them as if he is indeed venomous.
A blackened scar can be seen on the creature's left eye, left there by an unknown monster that it engaged in brutal combat.
Size:
85 Meters Tall | 300 Meter Wingspan
First Appearance:
Egypt - Found and contained within Outpost 44, located near Mount Sinai.
Abilities:
- Flight: Horus' massive wings allow him to fly at sonic speeds, capable of leveling entire city blocks just by flying over them.
- Hardened Skin: Horus' back is covered in a row of hard, sleek, osteoderms, which protect his backside from incoming attacks. They could even protect him from beam blasts from other titans.
- Stealth: Like a B-2 stealth bomber, Horus' dark-crimson skin is anti-reflective, making him incredibly hard to see when flying overhead at night. This also tricks with radar as they have difficulty detecting the presence of the creature.
- Heat Ray: Horus' can fire a beam of highly-concentrated plasma towards his opponent.
- Sonic Thunderclap: Horus' has been identified utilizing his massive wings to issue a thunderous clap, sending in a violent hurricane-force wind that could disrupt foundations and stun other monsters.
Weaknesses:
- Unprotected Underbelly: Horus' armor is only prominent on the top of his body - ranging from the tip of his beak to the tip of his sharpened tail. Even the top portion of his wings are armored to an extent! However, its underbelly lacks this armor to allow it to move efficiently and issue evasive maneuvers on the dime. While average military equipment is still rendered useless when engaging the underside, more powerful weapons should be able to wound the creature if weapons target said vulnerable spot.
- Air-Freak: Horus' true potential resides in flight. In the air, he is a quick yet powerful opponent, however like most pterosaurs, he is rather slow and clumsy when walking on land. Taking out the wings would force the creature to land, preventing it from escaping back into the air.
Personality:
Judging by the ancient texts and inscriptions found as of far, Horus has been said to be a "beast with ever changing personalities", hinting that it had both saved and ruined the lives of those that worship him. Many of TERRA's paleobiologists claim that the beast could've been a mostly solitary beast that would only get together with others of his kind during mating season. However, with the lack of evidence claiming of other similar beasts to Horus, this would prompt him to become more aggressive as it constantly fought other beasts simply to survive and in the hopes of eventually finding a mate to carry on the next generation.
History:
Known by the texts of Ancient Egypt as "Horus" - the sky god - this massive winged beast was worshipped and revered by the Egyptians as a primordial god. Ancient hieroglyphics and illustrations found within ancient temples and the pyramids shown Horus both as the traditional illustration of wearing a falcon head upon a humanoid body and as the massive crimson beast often flying an ravaging a city below or engaging with other monsters. Perhaps the former rendition was a way for them to personify him.
One of the titan's most famous symbols is the "Eye of Horus" - a symbol of protection, royal power, and good health. Judging how illustrations had shown the beast battling or communicating with other giant foes, including renditions theorized to be the gods Set, Anubis, and Sobek respectively. However, one illustration described the great god to have fallen underneath a collapsing mountain after being defeated by an unspecified god - burying Horus underneath a mile of rubble and sand near what's now Mount Sinai. It would be the last piece of writing ever found to mention him.
Strangely, for a creature of such size, paleobiologists suspected that Horus would also be flying elsewhere outside of Africa, however nearly all of his proof was documented in multiple sources within North Africa. Several European diaries and manuscripts had seemed to hint or mention of Horus' existence, however they never seemed to give it a name. It wasn't until 1994 when TERRA first discovered the beast after a Terran archeological expedition accidentally uncovered him from deep within a cave system. He wasn't dead at all - rather in a state of suspended dormancy.
Shortly after, a containment facility would be placed right on top of him as "Outpost 44", where he was monitored closely by TERRA. The question now wasn't the fact of if it could awake, but rather a matter of when.

Name:
|| "Titanus gigamorteptera" | "Camazotz" | "Leutogi" | "Mother Of Bats" | "Cami" | "Death Bat" ||
Appearance:
(Be more descriptive with your character. What does it look like?)
Size:
57 Meters Tall | 144 Meter Wingspan
First Appearance:
Yucatán, Mexico - Contained within "Outpost 19" inside an ancient Mayan temple, now surrounded by a black sound-proof wall. Dubbed by the locals as "Casa de los murciélagos".
Abilities:
- Flight: Using her massive wings, Camazotz can zip through the air at impressive speeds and turn on the dime.
- Echolocation: Like all bats, Camazotz utilizes echolocation to judge what her immediate surroundings are.
- Acute Hearing: Camazotz's acute hearing allows her to pick up very faint noises that others would fail to pick up. She can hear noises from up to several miles away and it's been theorized that she can even pick up the heartbeat of her opponents.
- Sonic Screech: Camazotz can unleash a powerful sonic screech that can temporarily stun larger monsters and wreck buildings within her vicinity.
- Blood/Energy Siphon: Camazotz's most notable ability is the ability to suck the blood and energy out of her opponents. Utilizing them, it can allow her to heal and enhances her abilities temporarily. Depending on the blood and/or energy that she takes in, she could even temporarily gain her attacker's power for several uses.
- Hivemind: Camazotz has connections to nearby bat populations and can command them as she wills. Her own bat populace - think miniatures versions of Camaztoz - in particular will come to her aid and can swarm the opposing enemy, distracting it for long enough as she goes in for the kill.
Weaknesses:
- Frailty: Camazotz was not made to engage head-on with stronger monsters. Her body is weak compared to other more bulky creatures and she wouldn't survive long if pitted against them with little room to maneuver.
- Sensitive Hearing: While Camazotz's acute hearing allows her to pick up even the slightest of noises, it also makes her vulnerable to incredibly loud noises. Those who utilize this vulnerability are able to confuse, as well as disorient and ultimately disrupt her ability to navigate.
Personality:
Camazotz tends to be usually a shy creature, often seeking refuge in dark environments. In containment, she appeared to have entered a deep hibernation as she hanged upside down on her giant perch. Little of her behavior had been documented otherwise, however Terran biologists claim that she would've been a social animal, hanging around with similar looking bats. The recent discovery of the large "Morteptera (Giant Death Bats)" seem to clarify their relationship to one another - with some believing the small bats were Camazotz's offspring.
In Mayan mythology, the people spoke of the bat goddess with both admiration and reverence. They both described her as a rather docile creature at peace and a blood-thirsty monster during conflict. Opposing tribes seem to demonize the creature extensively, focusing on her vicious ferocity for blood and how she'd suck it from the victims of sacrifices.
Meanwhile, Polynesian mythology presented the bat goddess "Leutogi" as a more benevolent goddess, being more of a protector of both bats and to her worshippers.
History:
TBA
Other:
- Despite her infamous blood-sucking diet, Camazotz is perfectly content in eating fruit and seeds if blood is scarce.
Name:
|| "Titanus orcanis" | "Akhlut" | "Orca-Wolf" | "Seawolf" ||
Appearance:
A semi-aquatic quadruped, Akhlut has been described to be a cross between an orca and a wolf. While he lacks the traditional aspects of a wolf - such as fur and ears - he does at least utilize five webbed claws on his feet, which resemble those of wolves. Other then that, most of his body is smooth and patterned much like that of a regular orca, however has scales running down his neck, limbs, and shark-like tail. His dorsal fin jets from his back, with spines running down his fore-arms, and also utilizes "pseudo-fins" on the back of his limbs to help with aquatic movement.
Size:
65 Meters Tall (At the tip of his dorsal fin) | 132 Meters Long
First Appearance:
Arctic Ocean - Contained within Outpost 4 entrapped under ice several miles from Greenland.
Abilities:
- Enhanced Agility: Akhlut relies on his extensive agility when combating or evading other titanic adversaries. He's known to issue fancy acrobatics during combat - his favorite being leaping out of the water to attack.
- Superior Swimmer: With his whale-like aspects, it's expected for Akhlut to be a great swimmer. He's far more agile and maneuverable underwater when compared on land.
- Sonar: Like regular orcas, Akhlut utilizes a variety of special vocalizations - ranging from clicks to low-pitch wails - to communicate with his environment. This allows him to identify where food or other titans are and act accordingly.
- Sonic Clicks: With his sonar, Akhlut can issue powerful clicks of his mouth in rapid succession to stun and disorient opponents. This ability works best when underwater.
- Blowhole Blast: His blowhole is powerful enough to eject high-pressured water that can rip through ice like a drill.
Weaknesses:
- Sonar Disruption: Akhlut can be disoriented if stronger sonar frequencies interfere with his own. It can even be used to drive the creature elsewhere and away from other valuable targets.
- Speed Over Brawn: While Akhlut can deal a number on his opponents with his claws and teeth alone, he's not known to usually overpower his opponents in sheer brawn. He prefers to utilize hit and run attacks, catching his opponents off-guard before retreating back to plan his next moves.
Personality:
Akhlut is a highly territorial titan, always ready to combat any rival that gets in his way. Ancient records and stories told by the local inuit and eskimo tribes claimed that his species would often hunt in small packs in order to take down larger monsters, much like wolves. However, being that he's supposedly the last of his kind, his survival instincts had pushed him into overdrive as he fights to survive, trusting no one. Yet despite his aggression, he's also strategic enough to battle using "hit-and-run" tactics rather than engaging his opponent head on. If he feels as if the opponent is too strong for him to manage alone, he won't hesitate to retreat and high-tail to higher ground.
History:
TBA
Other:
Akhlut's sonar calls are nearly identical to those of modern orcas, making it common to see a large pod travel along side him when he's in water.
