I hope someone else joins, Malcolm be himself may not make much for a pokemon trainer XD. If worse comes to worse, I can always make another character and put Malcolm on hold for awhile.

So I get that Malcolm thinks trainers have to battle and do gyms and stuff, and that's why he's reluctant to become a trainer like his father. But you as the writer understand that this isn't the case right? He could literally not do one single gym battle and still be a fine trainer. He could focus on other things like rescuing Pokemon, taking odd jobs for trainers only, and things along those lines.

I understand that yes, it's more of the principle. Malcolm's Dad would hammer into his head that he wanted him to be a trainer like him, so he refuses to get a licenses. It is a flaw he has that I was hoping to be changed by some sort of catalyst with another character, but like I said, without another PC it is kinda difficult XD

If things get too menial (which they may be) I can make a new character up, probably one who wants to be a trainer. Malcolm works better as a supporting character as opposed to a main one, my bad :P

Are there shadow pokemon in this world (Like the pokemon from Colosseum and XD Gale of Darkness?) I think I'm gonna go with a future keeper of a Pokemon Shrine, or if there is only one Shrine the world, THE pokemon shrine haha. Just lemme know!

Hmm, I don't see why not. And if we do that, I think there should be one shrine on every continent. I might even add to the lore of shrines, if it adds to our story.

Awesome, I'll slowly start to make a CS for that character. If someone else doesn't join by the time I'm done, I'll just roleplay both characters, with Malcolm probably just being one liners until someone comes across his path.

What starter Pokémon do you get if you start in Savannah Ga USA?

So, I'll just give you a list of all Pokemon within 50 miles of Savannah, GA. Starter Pokemon will be underlined and italized.

Bulbasaur: Found in forests and sometimes large parks.
Weedle: Found in forests and large parks.
Magnemite: Found in the city, near industrial sections and power sources.
Totodile: Found in swampy/wetland areas, near the coast.
Spinarak: Found in forests and large parks.
Heracross: Found in forests and sometimes large parks.
Surskit: Found in and around forests, rivers, and wetlands.
Sableye: Found at night, deep in forests, far from people.
Shinx: Found in forests and sometimes in suburban areas.
Carnivine: Found in deep inside forests and in wetlands.
Snivy: Found in forests and large parks.
Scraggy: Found at night, in the city, causing mischief.
Clauncher: Found near the coast and the mouths of rivers.
???: Recently, there have been an abnormal number of thunderstorms in the area. It is assumed that these are being caused by an unidentified Pokemon.

So, if you're wondering, I have all Pokemon already placed across the world and organized in a spreadsheet. After looking up what Pokemon are close in the area, starter Pokemon were chosen based off being fairly strong Pokemon with two evolutions in their family tree.

So I'm getting ready to work a double today. Feel free to write to your heart's content in my absence. You can control wild Pokemon and even create and control NPCs within your posts.

I'll see where we're at tomorrow morning and get a post in before I go in for the night shift. And FYI, I work at a restaurant. Weekends are my busy times.

Oh, and one small detail from working in a restaurant.

It sounded like Malcolm thinks he'll be washing dishes by hand. Actually, he'll be loading and unloading a big dishwashing machine that runs dishes through on a track. He'll have to rinse the dishes off before putting them in of course, and he'll have to put the dishes away, but no bending over a sink washing by hand. Still, on a busy weekend, being a dishwasher is a frustrating job, as the dishes become an endless, restless task.

I serve in real life, but I have mad respect for the dishwashers.

Must be nice, when I worked in food service I always had to handwash the everything. Being away from home makes me appreciate the dishwasher I had for sure XD
