The Omen Chief Engineer
Biography
Varya was born in space aboard a ship called the Omen. An old Venture class light cruiser that has been retrofitted. To act a freighter or whatever ships captain/owner felt like taking it. Varya was born to the ships chief engineer her mother and her father one of the medical staff and form a young age was expected that she would follow in one of those two paths.
As a child Varya was made to work and form the day she was put to work Varya chose to work with her mother. Simply because she was a mummy’s girl and working in the engine room sounded cool to her. So was taught how to help to keep the ship running and how it worked. Something that came naturally to Varya. Slowly she grew older was introduced to more complex tasks and by 15 was one of the ships engineers working directly under her mother. Who continued to teach her daughter skills needed to keep the ship running. Sometimes with little more than a little bit spit and duct tape. Varya learning the art of jury-rigging and how to make some ship parts of junk.
Life aboard the Omen for Varya was fun, it was never dull as something on the ship always needed fixing, and the ship was always going somewhere. So Varya got to seem many worlds. Interact with many people. Although living aboard ship meant her education was a little lacking, the crew charged with teaching the children things teaching more useful and practical skills first over, things like writing. She was taught how to protect herself and the ship, how to feed herself and treat common ship injuries. Over such not as useful skills. Although evntaully she was taught such things.
At 26 Varya’s mother stepped down from the position half getting very sick and unable to keep up with demands of running the Omens engineering section, and Varya found herself inheriting the title. Varya taking to the title as she was quick to assert herself, to make sure none of the people now under her tried to question her new authority.
Under Varya’s command the Omens engineering team keep the ship running smoothly. Varya taking great pride in her work. To Varya life was good, she got to see the stars and thanks to her position she was always well fed even when hard times struck the crew of the Omen. Even if the moment the ship had system failure or a problem she was first one called. But luckily for her, she had staff to delegate to such jobs to.
One day at port while shopping for new engine parts to replace some failing jury-rigged parts. After run-in with some Pirates. Varya heard about the Andromeda project, and it intrigued her. The idea of exploring another galaxy was something she had never thought of. In the end the call to see another galaxy was too strong and gave up her position and volunteered. Figuring even if she didn’t hold any fancy degree she could easily prove herself. The choice to leave the Omen a sad one as she parted with her parents and rest of the ship's crew that were all pretty much her family.

Nostramus, a hive city planet in which poverty and violence are rampant. The entire planet’s population reaches high in the tens of billions and without any official governing to rule it save a loose council of upper-class citizens wielding strong enough military and political power. Because of this, crime is rampant on the planet, meaning the police force carries itself as judge jury and executioner in most cases.Appearance
“Handsome” Eddie is physically in his peak, what’s left of him anyway. Eddie has dirty blonde hair which sits down in the middle of his neck, along with a perpetual five o’clock shadow. The side of Eddie’s face that was shielded remains relatively unscathed (sans some small cuts and scars from the line of duty) however the more damaged side is covered in charred flesh and burn scars, the lips irreparably damaged causing one half of Eddie’s face to be stuck in a permanent sneer. Some of the skin damage on Eddie’s right side had to removed entirely during surgery, though only notable around his cheek. Eddie’s unblinking right eye is also damaged to the point of blindness and is colored a milky white, offsetting his good eye’s pale blue.
Because of the damage done to Eddie’s body, he is near perpetually in his customized U.A.F armour, typically keeping the bottom half on even when off-duty and forced not to wear any armour. Underneath, his body and arms are bandaged which (now that he is out of cryostasis) must be removed and changed periodically to avoid infection. Eddie’s body is more obviously damaged, with burned red flesh and scarring covering most of his chest, legs and all of his right arm, the only untouched part of Eddie’s body is his left arm.
Height
6’2
Personality
When without a gun in his hands and a goal in mind, Eddie is as welcoming as his appearance would suggest. Without his helmet and armour, Eddie is mostly stoic and rarely emotes much in his facial expressions, typically offering quick to the point responses in conversations. Eddie doesn’t go out of his way to be abrasive but it’s very clear to even the most socially unaware person that he doesn’t enjoy their attention. Because of his… Obvious disfigurements, Eddie tends to avoid showing his face wherever possible and outright avoids younger citizens when forced out in the open.
When in combat however there is more of a life to Eddie, he doesn’t charge headfirst into battle yelling for blood but it is noticeable, the harder he hits, the ferocity in which he attacks even non-sentient targets. Eddie doesn’t like to think he’s any kind of sadist but for those brief moments of violence, he truly feels alive again.Role
Soldier (Pointman specifically) Eddie’s sheer durability and mind for combat makes him the ideal frontrunner for most missions, otherwise he routinely acts as a guard or bodyguard when his talents are unneeded.
Augmentations:
- Sensory Input Device fitted into right ear, because Eddie’s right eye is blind and any surgical prosthetic has an extreme fatal risk, this device ensures he doesn’t completely need to rely on his senses on his blind side. The device stimulates the small bones in Eddie’s ear when high moving objects are nearing him and roughly the direction they’re coming in, preventing Eddie’s weaker side from fully being exploited. A drawback is its sensitivity however as it cannot differentiate between an oncoming fist or traffic from Eddie’s right side, meaning it usually has to be turned off when not in combat.
- Surgically Repaired Body Structure, the hastiness of Eddie’s medical attention meant that corners had to be cut for the sake of time constraints, Eddie’s flesh was repaired as best it could be under his state but the real work went into his inner organs and skeletal structure, coating most of his right arm and chest in a liquid metal like substance to keep them held together, other areas of his body being replaced with prosthetic equivalents. Although Eddie’s nerve endings are screwed up anyway, the “improved” body he was given let’s him take even more of a physical beating and dish out a meaner right hand than he could before.
Weaponry:
- Q3-77 “Vengeance” Rifle, an offshoot of the Rateia Beam Rifle model which shoots concentrated volleys of “Dragon’s Breath” laser fire, capable of chewing through enemy armour or burning them alight. Despite its damage the weapon’s frame is fairly heavy making it unwieldy depending on the person, though Eddie doesn’t appear to have any trouble using it. The grip has been rubberized to make it easier to hold and absorb the weapon’s recoil.
- Saturinite Combat Knife, not overly flashy save for a slight blue tint to the metal, take it out of the sheath and stab stab. Designed puncturing through even combat armour if positioned correctly, the only drawback is it being too sharp for its own good, a specially made sheath on Eddie’s leg has to be used for storing it away otherwise the damn thing will end up carving through its holster in time.
Equipment
- HL7-6SR Assault Armour, light under armour weave for fast and free movement coupled with heavy plating on the chest, neck and front of the legs which work well for shock absorption in tighter areas and can even withstand sniper rounds if hit directly, the other areas of the armour are fitted with a lighter fluid dipped plating which can resist small arms and bladed weaponry. The armour enables Eddie to better fulfill his role as pointman and withstand potentially fatal damage while having free movement for crowded or urban areas.
- HL9-Bermuda Helmet, heavily fortified to shrug off both long and short range damage like its accompanying body armour, the triangle shaped visor can be dimmed to allow the user’s face to be shown in the event of damage to the screen impeding vision. While the helmet has access to changeable comm links and night vision settings its main draw is its ability to show and retain physical information on targets, allowing the user to see and track their movements on the move and monitor their current state through heartbeat monitors.

U.A.F Airborne Division, prior to this he was a leader of a Nostramus’ Pacification SquadBiographyNostramus is a cityscape hive world where the class division is wide enough to fit its population, to be born a son of one of its powerfully rich families is to essentially hit the jackpot. Eddie Faramundo was the second born son to his father Rae, while his older brother was groomed from birth to overtake his father’s empire one day and his younger brother was a political savant eager to begin constructing his own legacy, Eddie stuck out as being the son more physically inclined. Because of his upbringing Eddie rarely had to deal with the harsh climate and daily sacrifices made by Nostramus general population, though it didn’t mean he wasn’t naively sympathetic to their plight. His father Rae encouraged him to join Nostramus’ “Police Force” both as a way for his son to find a purpose in life and to help the Faramundo family appear more legitimate in the eyes of the public.
Eddie took to the new line of work extraordinarily fast, his family’s resources had enabled him to train for this moment even as an adolescent but his rate of skill coupled with his strength and desire to facilitate change made him a natural candidate to spearhead his own squad. Despite his skill and genuine desire to do good Eddie was not well liked by his peers, many of whom were from Nostramus’ lower class areas who had to claw their way up to this point and saw Eddie as someone playing at being soldier thanks to his connections. No matter what it couldn’t be denied the rate of growth throughout Eddie’s career, racking up a reputation for non-lethally ending many of his conflicts. Eddie seemed poised to climb the ranks faster than anyone else and perhaps even begin to change and improve Nostramus’ reputation.
Eddie had been investigating a burgeoning gang that had been expanding as of late far faster than normal, flooding the streets with new arms and drugs that had to have been acquired off-world, Eddie’s squad had been instructed to bring them to heel by any means necessary. Deciding to cut the head off of the proverbial snake, Eddie had spent all of his time tracking down the gang’s ringleader to destabilize the group and dissolve whatever deal or partnership they had going. Eventually Eddie and his squad converged on the leader’s safehouse, a dilapidated warehouse part of an abandoned sector of the city that had been since built over, there was nowhere for him to run. Eddie’s men went in through each available entrance, kicking down doors and smashing through windows as they secured the warehouse room by room. Eventually, they had only the head office left, faced with no possible means of safe escape the gang leader put his hands behind his head and got down on his knees, Eddie approached the target slowly, asking him where his men where getting their supplies.
No response.
Eddie frowned and moved closer, asking again as he pointed his gun at the gang leader. As he approached, Eddie heard the sounds of weapons powering up behind him, his squadmates staring him down with their weapons trained not on the gang member but on their supposed leader. Before Eddie could fully process this fact he noticed the gang leader hold out something in his hand, a trigger.
Despite how fast Eddie charged at the man to take him down he heard the unmistakable click of the mechanism being pressed, down below on the warehouse floor a ticking sound began as Eddie hoisted the gang leader in front of him and glanced out the window, a firebomb. His eyes widened as he looked back to the doorway to see his squad had already began dispersing, the gang leader tackled Eddie to the floor and pulled out a knife from his boot, the two struggled as Eddie the knife from piercing his skull, only managing to gain the upper hand by spitting in the gang leader’s eye and jamming the knife into his throat in the split second he was distracted.
There was no time, Eddie scrambled to his feet, leaving his gun and activating the distress beacon in his armour as he sprinted down the stairs towards the exit, close to barely making it yet again. Just like all the other drug busts, like all the other close calls, as he crashed into the door he swung it open and looked back, only to be engulfed in white.
After that, things are a blur. Eddie doesn’t know how long he was a charred body blasted outside, staring helplessly towards the crumbling building, unable to even whisper for aid. He remembers his eyes shutting, and reopening to find himself strapped in a table somewhere, bright lights shining offensively into his eyes, the sounds of a shuttle speeding through traffic men and women in surgical masks screaming at each other while looking down at Eddie and saying jumbled phrases sounding vaguely like encouragement. He does remember the look on his father’s face as he stared down at his son, half of his face completely covered by bandages as the rest of his body was covered by doctors and nurses working on him around the clock. He remembered his father yelling into the face of a particularly important doctor that no matter how much it would take he would ensure his son walked out of the building alive. He remembered all of the conversations weighing the pros and cons of what to try and save and what to leave alone, he remembered the mixing sensation of burning pain and drugged up confusion inter-spacing with each other at random. He remembered the bandages on his face being slowly but surely removed and the pitying faces of those in the room, his father, his brothers.
Most of all Eddie remembered the looks his father would give him when he was released, the side glances and stares when he was sure his son wasn’t looking. Rae had ensured his son lived to fight another day but he wasn’t so sure he succeeded, his son wasn’t distant now, cold and aloof. He could feel his family’s hidden disgust with his newfound state anytime he was in their vicinity. There wasn’t a place for him here anymore, a place like Nostramus didn’t need people like him. One day, without much fanfare. Eddie walked into his father’s study and shook his hand goodbye, leaving before he could even see the rest of his family one last time. Leaving to join the U.A.F.
Throughout his time working alongside the troops he was mocked relentlessly at worst and distrusted at best. The nickname “Handsome” Eddie spread like wildfire until it got to the point that anytime Eddie would be reassigned to a new sector as he rose through the ranks, the troops there had already heard the stories about him. It wasn’t just the face that had made Eddie known however, he had been placed doing essentially the same thing he’d been doing prior to his injury, leading small squads for extractions, breaching missions to capture or kill high priority targets, he’d even got into protecting VIP’s, helmet on of course. But the real thing that made him standout was his survivability. On no less than three different occasions Eddie Faramundo had been declared KIA, only to come limping back to the base or extraction team still kicking, although it didn’t quite reach “Handsome” levels of popularity “Undead Ed” became another popular moniker to describe the scarred soldier. It seemed someone in the top brass agreed however, despite his disfigurements, Eddie simply wouldn’t stay down and coupled with his ferocious strength, he made an incredibly valuable shock troop. Enough to the point that he was informed about the chance to join a blossoming new project, Andromeda.
So now Handsome Eddie goes into cryostasis with countless others swayed by the same promises. A fresh start, a second chance. Eddie was a physical reminder of his past no matter where he went, but as the cryostasis process began, he couldn’t help but admit being interested to see what conflict a whole new place could throw at him.Affiliations

Still writing the Biography, for now but here's what i have so far!Reyna D'shivantNameReyna D'ShivantSpeciesRateiaAge24SexualityBi-sexual with a strong lean to malesBirthReyna was born on the planet of Voncari, a planet that served as a successful colony story for the Rateia peopleAppearanceWith a very average is not painfully boring body build Reyna could almost slips into any crowd and blend in. That is if it weren't for her light cyan skin tone, along with deep amethyst eyes that slightly glow in the dark or can be noticed by anyone from miles away. Going from left cheek to her right cheek was a road of light blue freckles that went straight across the bridge of her nose. On her right ear were three gold earrings that all formed a perfect line going down from the tip of her ear.On duty Reyna is often seen wearing her white doctors jacket tied around her waist while also wearing a pilots suit usually. While off duty Reyna will wear clothing from other species, especially human clothing which she finds more comfortable.Height5'6"PersonalityWhether on or off duty Reyna is always the same. In no way has Reyna ever shown a single shy bone in her body, especially when dealing with those of different species. Reyna will always find chances to ask questions about specific traditions, customs or just general lifestyles of different species. In fact it's been noted that Reyna's questions will grow more and more until she seems almost sadistic. The same can be said for when she's working on a patient, others around her would notice how Reyna would enjoy doing her job especially surgeries a little too much. But that's only due to her interest in being able to learn about the bodies and organs of different species around her.RoleReyna is a Doctor through and through, but can also serve as a pilot/co-pilot if ever need be.
Equipment
- Standard Rateia Light Armor: A light armor commonly used by the Rateia military that boosts ones base agility abilities and also enhances the senses and reflexes of the person wearing it.
- Gt920P Hand Blaster: A six shot hand gun that was modeled after the human .44 magnum revolver
- Medical Equipment: Reyna carries around medical supplies she deems necessary
Previous BranchReyna once belonged to the U.A.FBiography
Despite growing up in Voncari, the place that was only ever described as peaceful and a cultural haven of the Rateia Reyna could never find herself to throw in her happiness along with everyone else. Voncari was the first colony ever created by the Rateian people once they first discovered the ability to travel through the cosmos, it was basked as a monumental treasure, one that shouldn't be tainted or harmed in any way. For years it served it's purpose well and even became a hot spot for tourist of each and every species to visit. A place for others to come and learn in great detail about the Rateian people and how they're society became the one it was. To the average person this was nothing but the sharing of history and culture, but for Reyna it was nothing but unfair. Growing up Reyna always found herself drawn to things she didn't understand, whether it be an insect she'd never seen before, or an animal she had never heard of. Reyna was attracted to them all. Even flowers and leaves were within her sights of interest to understand and study. So it only made sense that she would be upset that her home world was used as a tourist location for others to learn about her people, but never did she personally get to study others.
It wasnt until Reyna had turned the age of 9 and began to study the arts of medicine under a human doctor that Reyna had actually got her first interaction with anyone that wasn't her own kind.Affiliations

Rylex Soran 'Rex' 6'5" | 200 lbs | 52 Years | Bisexual |
“I had my eye ripped out by a by a raider, and the damage was so bad I couldn't replace it. So the question was do I feel lucky? Yeah I suppose so, I mean it could have been worse, like my nose. An empty eye socket is one thing, but no nose is just unsightly, even for me.” - Rylex______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Rylex Soran
'Rex'6'5" | 200 lbs | 52 Years | Bisexual
Birthplace: Uthora IV
Race: Utarah____________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________Appearance:
Rylex is a walking mass of about 6'5" weighing in at 200 lbs. His hair is a mix between two shades of brown, a darkened variance almost black to lighter variances of grayish. His face is gaunt and hardened and often weathered looking by definition. He has many scars within his facial regions, the most prominent going through his right eye and the second prominent scar around his left eye. His hair is always short to mid range in length and often kept messy along with a somewhat trimmed beard. His body is muscular but not to an insane degree, the majority of his bulk residing in his upper body. His right eye is covered with a metal patch which is a permanent fixture on his face.
Rylex is not what one would consider the snappiest of dressers nor does he care too much for what he wears or does't. Be a practical battle ready type he always wears his battle plating which is a sleek black plating with trimmed dark silver edging to give it a bit more flair. The clothing he wears over his plating is almost always black in nature and light material for ease of movement. He usually wears a pair of black boots, a pair of black pants, a normal black long sleeve shirt with a cut off black vest. A pair of twin shoulder holsters.Personality:
Paranoid: Rylex is paranoid to a certain degree, not in a "there is an enemy around the corner waiting to kill me every second of the day" type but more or less a type that keeps himself on guard at all times. This paranoia is often agitated by the fact that he has above average hearing so he can hear a fart two bedrooms over. While he won't jump at every sound it is probably a good idea to not try and take him by surprise lest you enjoy kissing floor.
Prankster: You wouldn't think it looking at the Utarah, in fact if there was ever a prank to be had you would be almost sure with 100 percent certainty that he had nothing to do with it... and you would be wrong. Even though he is high strung he is also one never at a loss for a good joke and or prank if he can get away with it. Even though he can come off as hard or reserved at times, Rylex enjoys a good laugh with friends. An maybe just maybe he enjoys making other people laugh if nothing else for himself to feel good.
Experienced: Rylex is quite intelligent at least in his own ways, he does have the luxury of wisdom on his side as he has been around for over fifty years. This intelligence mixed with his experience often makes him an invaluable asset in the face of danger, gives him the ability to be calm and think logically instead of letting emotion get the better of him. He is good at strategics and enjoys a good puzzle or riddle if he can get one.
Distrustful: Even though he often denies it Rylex has an incredibly hard time trusting anyone at least to certain degrees. Given how he was brought up he just can't bring himself to let his guard down even with those he grows close to. It is because of this that he is often distanced from everyone, keeping them at fingertip length so that he can be ready when they inevitably turn on him. This way of thinking often leads him to be lonely or at least he feels alone. This causes him to seem standoffish or like he is better than everyone else at times. Mixed with his paranoia he has become quite accustomed to telling when someone is lieing to him or trying to play him for a fool.______________________________________________________________________________________________________Role
Security Officer
Equipment
Cybernetic Augmentations
- Reflex implant: Rylex has an implant in the base of his skull and spinal cord, it helps to fire his neurons at a faster level increasing his sensory abilities which enables him to comprehend things at a heightened speed. This increases his reflexes and his response time making him faster than the average human in any case. It is notable that out of his other augmentations this one he has had most if not all his life.
- Adrenal Implant: This implant is attached to Rylex's adrenal glands which in combat situations he can activate and give himself a boost of adrenaline which temporarily heightens his strength. Although it should be noted that this implant is a double edged blade of sorts. If constantly used in tandem it can overload his body and put him into shock or worse.
- Cybernetic Eye: Rylex's remaining eye is cybernetic by nature and gives him the ability to use night vision in darkened area's and has a secondary mode which allows him to use thermal imaging to identify heat signatures.
- Reinforced plating: Rylex's battle plating is a reinforced metal alloy which can block small weapon projectiles and close combat blades. It is notable however that the bigger caliber and damage a weapon has the more damage it can do to his plating.
- Duel Blades: Rylex has a set of duel blades, one each planted underneath his arms right at his wrists just below the palms. They are a pliant weapon and perfect for close combat when low on ammunition or you want to take someone out a bit more smoothly from behind.
Weapons
"Wraith" 357 Coil Revolvers
Rylex's main weapons are a twin set of 357 Coil Revolvers. Perfect light weight weapons for those who like to travel without being weight down. A more powerful variant than the previous models, these sacrifice a large ammo count for a stronger impact projectile with a fast reloading cylinder.

Combat Instructor / Retired Officer of Uthora Military
Biography
"A human I once knew told me we are all trying to run away from something. I didn't know it at the time but he was definitely right. Took me a lot of years to realize that I left my home world because the food sucked. Humans might be different but they can sure cook when it comes down to it."
Rylex Soran a name that both inspires respect and a sour taste in your mouth at the exact same time, at least with those that truly know him. Rylex was born on an outer world from the main Utarah Colony named Uthora IV. Uthora by nature is a backwater planet that was colonized hundreds of years prior by a group of Utarah who were banished from the main colonies for reasons that are long forgotten. Young children often grew up hearing the stories on how a group of mighty Utarah were sent to Uthora to die but instead they survived the violent planet and set up a colony that rivaled any other forcing their race to acknowledge them. The culture in Uthora is very much full of legendary figures and hero's of the Utarah, the same men and woman who showed an entire race that they would not be thrown away, would not lay down and die for their beliefs. It was this very same culture that both inspired and drove Rylex and by the same stroke of fate brought him to his own exile from his race.
Growing up on Uthora was no cake walk by any means, even though they had a great military force full of strong and intelligent Utarah, life growing up was still very dangerous and often harsh. Rylex like many of children growing up found himself often facing these harsh realities. From the moment he could walk he was under the guide of one of Uthora's Trainers as most children born on Uthora have only one future and that is military. Much of his preteen years were spent running, jumping, and doing endless exercises involving anything from guns to unarmed combat. His most fondest memories of childhood were at end of day where he was laying in his bed nursing bruises and trying to find sleep to face the next day. Even though life was hard Rylex often dreamed of being like the Utarah heros of old and this pushed him to be better, stronger, and gave him his never ending motivation to never give up to never falter no matter the pain.
By time he had started coming into his own there was still much tension involving the Utarah and the U.G.C. Unlike the bulk of his race in the main colonies, his wholly own did not approve of it like many such things. He spent most of his days listening to his superiors talking ill of the humans and could hardly do anything but begin to be bias towards the humans himself. By time he was twenty he was all but poisoned against them and was what you could call a heretic like the rest of his colony. This all changed though, almost in the blink of an eye when an incident occurred involving a ship that had mechanical failure and ended up making an emergency drop into Uthora outside the main city in the badlands. Rylex being the youngest and the most promising was sent to investigate this alone as a sort of what you would call a coming of age test. What he expected to find and what he had actually did find were two very different things, but out of the two he never expected to find humans, actual humans fighting for their life against the local wildlife.
Rylex almost immediately had thoughts of grandeur as he realized that if he killed these humans and brought their bodies back he would be hailed as a hero. They say that things don't always go to plan though and in his case he did not expect these humans to be well trained such as they were. He had the strength and the speed but they had the experience and numbers and in the end he was beaten, and his life would have ended right than and there but it didn't. The leader of the group spared his life instead of taking it, even though Rylex had tried to kill them an nearly succeeded on one or two he spared the Utarah. Rylex never knew why and probably never would, when he returned that night he had intended to tell of the humans, knowing if he had they would be hunted down and killed but he chose not to. Even though he hated them he couldn't escape the fact that all he had been told was now in question, that the mercy they showed him was heavy in his mind. If they were so bad, than why let him live?
Rylex spent another twenty years on Uthora before in the end he finally left for good. The truth of the matter was that even twenty years later the mercy he had been shown had changed his opinion of humans. He wanted to see for himself, to know them himself, to judge them himself on their own merits instead of the ramblings of his colony. Although he would never admit it, his leaving was also unavoidable, for by this time his change of heart towards human had all but made him an outcast among his own kind. In truth there was nothing left for him on Uthora and he was in reality setting out for a new life all together. Life wasn't easy after that, he was like a child lost in a world that he did not understand. Nothing was like where he had grown up, it was, different, peaceful, a concept he had never truly known.
Call it fate or divine intervention but a few months after his arrival Rylex ran into someone who he recognized, in fact it was the face of a man he had thought of every night for twenty years. Since the day he had been spared his life. This same man would end up being his very first friend and in a weird twist of fate also the same man he came to love. But much like life, this was not meant to be in the end, even though he had shown Rylex so much, helped him to fit in, even got him into a position where he trained others in combat, and loved him, it could not stop time from taking him away. When he died, that was the first time Rylex had ever known a pain so deep and harsh that it could not be healed. Very much like his home world had become, his new home had become lonely and desolate to him. After the funeral he spent much of his life afterwards lost again and at one point he was pretty close to just giving up entirely.
Again call it fate or divine intervention but unknown to Rylex at the time his former love had been planning on being a part of an expedition that would leave this world far behind, the adventure of a life time and he had intended to take Rylex with him. When Rylex was approached about joining he felt a bit of life surge back into him again, that maybe the same fate that both brought them together and forced them apart was playing in another way now. Rylex accepted with no hesitation intent in honor of the one he had loved and a chance to maybe heal.
