Standing at five foot five, Ruruka, always manages to exude an aura of calmness and sophistication. From the way she carries herself, to her smallest movements. She always maintains an elegant visage. She has white hair, well taken care of - washed and scrubbed until her voluminous locks are shiny and smell faintly of a field of flowers, and she can often be seen wearing a decorative flower ornament of some sort braided into her hair.

Typically, she dresses as one may expect. Fancy dresses and that usually evoke a feeling of winter, or colder temperatures.

Personality:
What would one expect of a rich, sheltered, spoiled brat? Well, whatever stereotypes exist, probably apply to Ruruka in some fashion.

Coldly confident, Selfish, arrogant, but generally tries to be friendly she has trouble at times realizing that her sheltered upbringing being waited on hand and foot, has given her a bit of a different view of the world than everyone else. Needless to say, she's a bit difficult to get along with, but if one takes the time to befriend the ice-queen a bit, they'd find someone who is very eager to learn and grow as a person, if given a chance. She can be rather playful at times, and its sometimes difficult to tell if she's being honest in her words, or merely being catty or sarcastic.

Her main interests lies in gardening, hacking, computers, botany, and of course, Digimon. She considers her hacking skills second to none.

Bio:
The sole daughter of wealthy private "Security Group" named "Rashomon International" that prides itself on quickness, efficiency, and a 100% satisfaction rate, Ruruka has spent a good portion of her life with a silver spoon. The best education, never wanting for money, and in general she's just had a fairly good life. She coasted through school easily as a model student, with many claiming she'd go on to take over the company when she got through with college.

Perhaps, perhaps. But in this new digital world of theirs, certain things need to change to get with the program. While Rashomon was known publicly as a cyber security firm, one that both did their job well and efficiently, it was no secret to those in the field that the group had its hand in a number of shady practices. Theft. Forgery. If you wanted something done, the demons would do it for a price so long as it fell within their field of expertise.

This meant that no small part of their game was information and hacking. They prided themselves in knowing people in every online area, and as online security began evolving more and more, the people outside the virtual world needed to adapt to online threats. When Eden became a thing, the group was more than eager to expand their group into the world, becoming well known as a supplier of information as well as being a middle man for more earth-bound groups for Eden, or even protecting assets for people in the cyber world.

When Digimon were introduced into the virtual landscape, a seemingly lucrative opportunity presented itself, and Ruruka quickly jumped at it towards the end of her high school career two years ago. Being brought up around computers and spending much of her free time in the virtual world already, it hardly seemed like a leap to make that these digimon could be extremely useful in a realm of cyber security, and she was quick to start exploring her options in the area.

Perhaps her expertise in this area is why she received that mysterious letter...

Personality:
A bossy and demanding girl, she's easily bored by the mundane, always asking for more interesting challenges to be thrown at her. She's extremely confident at both her hacking skills and her Digimon battling, though for the latter, if she lost, she would put all the blame on her Digimon for being weak. Her commanding expertise is perfect after all. And if she ever failed on the former, it would annoy her so much she would lose sleep over it.

Bio:
She had always been a computer geek ever since she was little. Introduced to it by her programmer father, it was soon clear that she had talent in the field, and with the aid of said father, she learned everything you need to learn about coding and computers in a much earlier age than normal.

She would’ve remained a normal computer geek, if not for the day where her father’s bank account got hacked, draining all the funds in it.

When he just waited for the cops and banks to somehow recover the lost money, she instead went into action, tracking said hacker through the internet. She started to venture into “black” sites where other hackers shared their knowledge, and from them, she learned. And with that knowledge, she eventually managed to track down the thief and where they were. She gave the info anonymously to the authorities.

The thief confessed on their guilt. However, she was too late. Her family’s money was already spent.

She cursed herself. If only she were faster, if only she was more skilled at tracking them down…

Ever since then, she became a so-called “hacker of justice”. She would help hunt other hackers who would misuse their skills for evil. The more she hunted, the more she realized that she enjoyed the challenge. She then would not stop at hackers. She would steal info from corrupt businesses and politicians and release it to the web. All done anonymously under the moniker “The Blue Duchess.” And so far, she hadn’t been caught yet. None of the police’s lapdogs and private investigators had sniffed her close enough to spook her to leave the hacking world forever.

Naturally, she learned of the existence of Digimon from that world as well. She now had two of them helping her, though she still thought of them as mere programs over actual living digital lifeforms.

And so when the letter arrived, she readily accepted, knowing how famous Jormungundr was, and how it was supposedly the den for top tier hackers. As long as they do their hacking for good, she’s in.

Though she had to wonder, did they really manage to track her real identity down?

As expected from a top class hacker, she thought.

It certainly worried her as well. And annoyed her at the same time, as she felt she had lost to them. However, the fact that they had not dangled the fact as blackmail for her to join them meant that they might not be evil hackers, who would expose her identity for a handsome sum of money.

With that reasoning, she gave her reply.

Personality:
Attempts to describe her traditionally are generally met with failure, as she is eccentric to the point of being nearly non-understandable. The most obvious facets of her personality are her strange sense of humor and her tendency to either be extremely excitable and extroverted or extremely introverted and reflective, with seemingly no middle ground aside from her "jokes."
She has a somewhat unhealthy obsession with snakes and an equally unhealthy hatred of insects, both exacerbated by her rather severe Obsessive Compulsive Disorder.

Bio:
She is incredibly intelligent and well educated; in a sense she is exactly what one would expect from the child of two highly intelligent parents, in that she is not only a prodigy in many regards, but has few social skills and many odd quirks. Born to a father who works for a large electronics company and a college-professor mother, Violet has never wanted for anything. Being home-schooled by her high-expectation mother, she spent her days sleeping and finding entertainment in the internet while her nights were spent cramming an entire public school education in semester sized chunks at a time. Having a nearly perfect memory made the process quick and relatively painless, leading her to develop a detached personality, as if life were just something to do for the sake of doing.
While she is a quick learner, she has had no interest in learning to hack, though she has made a large name for herself in the digimon battling scene on the rare public servers where it takes place. She feels that those who mistreat their digimon are "evil," and that digimon are meant to be companions.

Apperance: Issei isn't too concerned with how he looks. His hair is often messy and makes him look just a tiny bit longer than the 5 Feet, 8 Inches he actually is.

Personality:
Issei is a bit of troublemaker and enjoys annoying others for fun, though he tries not to take it to the point where he actually hurts anyone physically or emotionally. If he does he will try to make up but also knows when to accept something as a lost cause. For the most part he is a friendly easygoing guy, but he can get obsessed when working on one of his pranks. He also has a habit of trying to drag others into what he is doing without realizing it, never considering they might have plans already or are simply not interested.

Bio:
Given his love of pranks it shouldn't come as a surprise Issei learned some basic hacking skill and messed around in EDEN, mostly sticking to non offensive stuff that could be fixed in about five minutes at most. He even developed his own graffiti-like tag consisting of a stylized rottweiler head. He didn't agree with everything Jormungundr did but also knew they sometimes helped people so he didn't join up with Thor either. In fact during the "hacker wars" Issei didn't cause any chaos whatsoever in EDEN, believing they had enough to deal with. Once things had quieted down however he went back to his pranks, of course he didn't want to get in trouble so he stopped using his tag and managed to stay under the radar due to a combination of luck, sneakiness and not going so far that people went out of their way to find out who he was. So he was quite surprised when he got a note inviting him to join Jormungundr. In fact he actually thought it was a prank at first but some snooping revealed he wasn't the only one to get an invitation.

Appearance: Harumi stands at 4'11" (149.86 cm), and is of a relatively slim build. Her skin seems to be eternally pale, and she has multiple scars on her body, namely her firearms and palms.

Personality: Relatively quiet and standoffish, Harumi gives off an aura that she couldn't care less about those around her. However the reality is that she lacks social skills, and becomes mentally drained when she deals with too many people in a short period of time. Despite this she's friendly, and willing to give people her age the benefit of the doubt, though she's very distrusting of adults. Once she's comfortable with someone, though, she's more than a tad snarky.

Bio: Born to a relatively poor family, Harumi's parents worked their hardest to provide for their daughter. Despite their lack of wealth, they would occasionally buy gifts for her. However, the one that sparked something in her was simple: a cheap computer coding guide. She devoured the information, and quickly became quite skilled with code. However, her life took a downward turn when her mother was killed in a train accident. Her father fell into a deep depression, and began drinking heavily. As time went on, his drinking took over his life, and Harumi eventually ran away. She began supporting herself by beta testing games and software, as well as hacking, for the right price. A politician needed dirt on an opponent? A journalist wanted information for a story? Had to find out how many mistresses your husband had? For the right price (and sometimes just because it would amused her), Harumi would do it. Because of her exploits, she received an invitation to join Jormungandr.

Personality: Some people like to say “honesty is the best policy”, most people think little white lies never hurt anyone and others spend every day pretending to be something they are not just to get through life. As you grow out of childhood and into adulthood it’s important to find the right balance between truths and lies that will allow you to comfortably navigate social situations in a way that both lets you get what you want while also not troubling your conscience too much; in Reiko’s case, she found that life got a lot easier when she started telling people what they wanted to hear rather than what was true or what she really thought. She also found that lying didn’t really bother her that much.

Bio: Reiko is a popular person, well-liked by almost everyone she meets at school or elsewhere; she is seen as kind, caring and intelligent, always willing to help when asked or always available to lend an ear to someone’s troubles. She’s never short on friends, has a thriving social life and always has a smile on her face; no boyfriends though, she’s always too busy to date and will gently turn down anyone who asks her out. She seems almost perfect.

Because this is what she wants people to think.

To tell the truth, and she rarely does, the Reiko most people see is just a character she came up with to make her life easier. She doesn’t care about the people she helps, or the petty problems they come to her with, she just helps them because it’s what’s expected of her; besides you’d be surprised at how quickly you build up favours like that and when you’re seen as someone who is always so busy helping others it’s easy to pass your responsibilities off onto everyone else. As long as she takes credit for it she can then build up even more favours. She doesn’t actually like the people she hangs out with nor shares any of the interests she claims to share with them. It’s easy to pretend to have a busy social life when you get invited to everything, even if you end up going to none of them.

She doesn’t like people nearly as much as she pretends to; if anything she’d say she hates them. But people don’t really like it when you tell them that; nobody actually wants to hear the truth. The only issue is that she’s trapped herself in this situation, she’s made herself too popular, and even though it makes for an easier life than the alternative of being hated it’s exhausting wearing a mask all the time.

That’s why she spends so much time in EDEN. Even though she only created an EDEN account because everyone was talking about it, she soon found that it offered exactly the kind of escape from her daily life that she was looking for. The first time she put on the headset she almost cringed at the sight of so many people in one place before the mask fell into place, but no one knew or cared who she was; no one tried to talk to her, no one was asking her for favours or advice or trying to invite her to things. She was anonymous. She soon found it was much easier for her to avoid people she knows while in a Digital Dive than in real life; she could simple change her clothes, hair or anything except her face, like putting on a disguise, and disappear for a while.

Putting on a disguise so she could take off the mask was a strange concept, but EDEN is the only place she has found where she can drop the act for once and be herself and she has been an avid user ever since.

The freedom she found in EDEN was liberating, but at the same time she sometimes found that freedom somewhat limited by such obstacles as security or firewalls. She understood the need for privacy, but as someone who started using EDEN as a means to not feel trapped such things were almost a personal affront to Reiko, so she started looking for ways around them. She taught herself how to hack as best she could using the resources available to her, but as someone who was never into computers much it was slow going. She read any source she could find and got in contact with anyone she could to help her, burning a few favours from people at school in the process, but her aptitude in this area was somewhat lacking; even now she struggles to hack anything more complicated than rudimentary firewalls.

Then she found out about Digimon. Or at least, she found out that hackers used them to break down walls that they couldn’t hack normally. That sounded a lot manageable than what she was currently doing, not to mention easier; why wasn’t everyone doing this?

Since those early days Reiko has made it a habit to break into any secure area she can just for the sake of doing so, although anything with a firewall that can’t be broken down with brute force is pretty much safe from her. She sees any area sealed off from the public as a challenge to be overcome, scouting the location, planning her break-in and executing it only to do nothing more than look around for a while before leaving. Even so she has more than a few somewhat high profile break-ins on her “resume” and a few places have even upgraded their security because she began targeting places nearby; not that that was usually enough to stop her.

Reiko doesn’t think of herself as a hacker, but this kind of activity is probably why she received an invitation from some group called Jormungundr.
