Also, consensus pull here; should I drop Joel? Feel like I should make some room, in case anyone else wants to take part. If you're readin' this and haven't posted a sign-up yet, say something!
Ya know, I think I will drop Joel. He doesn't have much going for him really (especially since less of the cast are natives of Gravity Falls and so he has less people to mess with), and I would like to free up a slot for a potential new player.
@rocketrobie2 Ah, yes. The Slammersons. A distant cousin of the Tannon family. I hear they migrated to Miami in the 70's after a bit of bad blood developed between them and Raff Tannon, Biff's father.
We gather here today to pay respect to Joel. We did not truly know Joel, but he was a human like any one of us. A person trying to survive and enjoy existence on this rock we call Earth. Unfortunately ceasing to exist, like a bag of ice melting into nothingness. Forever, we shall remember: He who was comparable to an ice bag. Joel.
So I've mulled around and seeing that being experienced with the supernatural is alright, I decided to go with a sort of Stanley like person who knows about these supernatural beings and is pretty used to them already.
So yeah, he's gonna be part of the adult supervision of this group who is constantly tired of all that goes bump in the night... and the morning.
Hey kid, what’s your name?
"The name's Garfield Pollard. People around these parts call me Gar."
Huh, interesting...you look more like a...
Depth perception is kind of a problem for me. Why don’t you save me the trouble and tell me how you look?
How old are you anyway?
"Thirty-seven. You learn to grow old here in Gravity Falls."
Why don’t you lay your past on me? What are you even doing here?
"A life story? Seriously? I'm not even that old."
Well, it isn't really all that interesting. You see, I was born and raised here in Gravity Falls. Ma and pa were born and raised here too. No one really leaves Gravity Falls once you start to live here. Not much change either. We're born here, grow up here and die here. There are people who come, a few go, but that's usually what happens in our little sleepy town. Nothing much happens here.
As for me? Well, I went through school here and, just like my parents and every single ancestor I have, I'm gonna stay here. I've gone through a lot of jobs because I mostly do whatever needs to be done here in Gravity Falls. We don't have a lot of people so if someone needs help, I'm usually the one they ring up. And hey, I don't mind not having a permanent job as long as I get some money out of it you know?
I've encountered a couple of weird things. Sometimes, there's floating furniture. Sometimes, there's some weird creature stalking people in the woods. Or sometimes it's a broken toaster. It's all part of living here in Gravity Falls. There are a lot of rumors and legends that surround our town. I don't really care whether it's true or not; if they pose a problem, I take care of them. If they don't, I leave them alone. But I'm pretty sure the kids out there are curious about them and maybe sometimes I keep an eye on them so they don't get hurt. The kids don't seem to really understand that some things are best left to the unknown.
Anything else you wanna share? Go for it!
"I've seen a lot of weird stuff in Gravity Falls and I got a couple of trinkets. Apparently, this ring I got from this weird woman in the woods help me power through stuff. Hasn't helped me all that much yet."
"Oh, a wife? Yeah, I have one. She's a teacher over at our highschool. Her name is Emma and we've been married for ten years, together for twenty! She's a sweet and amazing person. You would love her when you meet her too. Don't got any kids though."
"There's been talk of Illuminati being thrown around. Don't know. This feels a lot more older than that."
"I used to work as a lumberjack and used to go hunting before. They help a lot."
"Coffee and my wife are the only things that make me feel alive. I'm kidding, I'm kidding."
"My wife and I go hiking, sometimes even camping, in the woods. We keep seeing a lot of things. Get to meet things too. I'd be careful if I were you."
