@EurmalEye Yes. Basically the Masked Man is infusing his magic into the island and his minions such as Flowey. So certain enemies will be able to see through the illusions but not all of them.

@PharaohAtem Lol that's a lotta lecture, but I gotta tell you this ain't my first illusory rodeo and I have invested a lot of time, effort, and research into writing them. Also, Naruto special eyes may be least favorite example of illusions of all time. It is just very lazy. I love specificity when I write special abilities, because rules make a magic system far more believable. That is why Leval's abilities are always very grounded and have costs- magic has a cost on his energy and he takes a ton of damage in combat. I could have Leval pull a million extra abilities outta his butt like trapping them in a mental landscape or hypnotizing them but it would feel like power gaming and therefore less interesting. Natural progression is slower but more rewarding. Leval's is already fantastic at making illusions and overall mana control (that why its written as threads of mana to make a weave), his biggest weaknesses is just his low level of mana capacity which will improve over time and how the creatively he can use that mana control. As for the other powers, yeah in a high power setting like this for sure its easier, which is why I think a more subtle illusion in the middle of combat where everything is already distracting would have a much higher degree of working.
@PharaohAtem Ugh fine you can have a spoiler :P Leval's secret tech are in my head named Field of Threads and Deception Made Real. Field of Threads works basically how you described illusory domain along with its incredibly high costs. Essentially the entire domain would be covered in his threads of magic to A) Conceal Leval in Magic in potentia for those trying to see through his illusion and B) Allow for quick casting. It is not something I imagine him doing for a while yet. Deception Made Real is essentially layering Leval in illusions of himself while he performs actions. So even though characters see the illusion covered Leval coming at him they will also note that the figure is illusory and giving all signs of being fake. So they will expect that figure to be the illusion and the real Leval is elsewhere. They expect an illusionist to hide not strike directly. And then while they are distracted looking for the "real" Leval, not so surprise strike. This works even better if paired with making a random patch of air invisible so there is something else to detect.
Also Leval is not above tasers and bear mace.
@PharaohAtem Plus Leval's healing is OP right now. His supernatural magnetism led to him being fully healed like 3 times haha.
@PharaohAtem@DarkShadowWolf Leval's ultimate spell: Summon dragon with one more head than the last dragon!
