The year is 1886, London. Queen Victoria was crowned some 48 years ago and England, as well as the world, has known relative peace under the British Empire world’s Hegemony. Under such peace the land prospered and it’s people were propulsed into the future through the advancements in technology and industry. People were attracted to cities, and it’s opportunities, like moths to light. Although, as moths sometime dies by the heat of the light’s flame, so too does the English people.
The rapid expansion of industries did little in the way of safety procedures and, frankly, seemed to care little in the safety, or lack thereof, of the people who worked for them. Similarily, the general living conditions for the new middle class and working class in cities were abysmal. As such, a majority of the people who came to cities for it’s many opportunities ended up… discouraged, to say the least. An air of depression fell on these poor people, with no one to really care about them...but posivity was not to be destroyed utterly. In these times of scientifical discoveries and industrialization there remained a speck of magic - a drop of unknown and mysticism. Magic, as it was, exists and always has. In a way. Magic, of course, for the lack of a better word. Even in this atmosphere of hard and tough reality, children could still be found running around, playing and being kids. Happy. This is why, most probably, the mentioned magic was most often found in younger folks. More precisely, young girls from early teens to young adulthood, mostly.
Their nomenclature might change from one place to another, but it would always remain something along the lines of
"Magical Girls"
or a variation of something Magical in the region’s lore. Here, they are known as Magical Girls to themselves, but also "Witches". They didn’t come to exists out of thins air. Creatures known as "Pixies", feary like little creatures, give those humans their powers. Why? To fight off creatures of Darkness, of course. Creatures that come to existence through human negative thoughts and emotions and feeds off of them until, eventually, they consume their host and take physical form. The duty of a Witch is to stops these creatures from taking Physical form, or destroying them as quickly as possible if they reach such a state. Those creatures are known as "Hydes".

Hello Everyone. This is a RP idea from LuckyBlackCat and myself that we've been working on for a while and wanted to try out. Ultimately, it's a Magical Girl's story RP, but with a twist as it takes place in the past - the Victorian Era.
We are looking for a small group for this RP - anywhere between 5 to 7 persons on top of ourselves. We intend for the Story to revolve around the players' characters and they give/feed us to work with, so it's not going to just be a straightforward line where you follow a premade story. There will be a premade story and general guideline, but players input and characters will influence events and story a lot.
As such, we are looking for players that are willing to work with us and give as much as they receive. We're looking for people that will not ghost on us. If you have to or want to for any reasons at all then please, please tell us. We will understand, we just want to know so that we can adapt !
We will keep this Interest Short with all that's necessary and not much more until we find enough persons to build up the OOC.

| Witches ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ Your regular Magical Girls. Can be called as such, or as Witches in this universe. Their age can vary from young teen to young adult, but only girls are targeted. They gain their powers from Pixies. Their magics vary from one Witch to another, but they all take their magics from their Pixies companions. The magic powers are limited to the Pixie's reserves. | Pixies ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ Small entities of light, positivism and generally, all things Good. Nevertheless, they live hidden from Humans and the Darkness they often bring. They are veiled in mystery and not much is known of their society. The only certain thing is that that come to humans when they need a new Witch and enhances them with their magic to allow them to fight Hydes; their polar opposites and nemesis. | Hydes ▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔▔ They are born from Human's negativity and darkness and feed on misery, pain and suffering of others. They are invisible to anyone and anything except for Witches and Pixies, whom they fight almost on sight. A Hyde can become visible by humans, and also extremely more dangerous, if they feed enough that they can consume the Human that spawned them. Hydes are the polar opposites of Pixies. |
