As they rode there, Tempest's thoughts raced back to Oliver. "Hey so, I know this is not the best time to bring it up, but it's the holidays and that always has me feeling warm and fuzzy, but what do you make of that guy Oliver. Cute huh?" It hadn't even dawned on Tempest that she was asking Tinley, her boss essentially, this. Tinley focused on driving but gave a slight shrug. "The new guy? Or one of them anyway. He's a hacker type, right? I don't know, cute enough I guess. Not my type, but he seems like yours."
Tinley had bad luck with relationships. Often the men she dated didn't like having a powerful woman. They either wanted her to have a career, but only if it was less than theirs, or they wanted her to be a housewife. Expected it of her really. And Tinley would never be such. It was why she had thought about adoption. She had always wanted kids. Still did, but she didn't see the need to include anyone else in the mix, especially one who expected her to form into their own mold.
"I mean, I've dated here and there with techy types. Or rather we talked online, but there's a difference when you actually see them and realize it's not some troll living in his mother's basement. Also what is the policy on inter-office dating anyway?" Tinley fought the urge to laugh. "Truth be told, I don't know. I never expected it to come up, but I am willing to bet it is frowned upon. But fuck it, it's the holidays. I say go for it."
Tempest grinned as they pulled up to the park. It was relatively empty, which made sense given the time of year. They both stepped off, waiting for the others. "Ok, he's not here yet. Keep the bikes more or less away from each other so as not to tip him off. I want people on all exits. I don't want to give him a chance to escape, but remain close to your vehicles just in case. Also, I assume Raynor and Sparky will follow suit, so someone try to fill them in. Otherwise, remain hidden until we get him."
