Name: Yuèqín Peng
Appearance: Standing at five seven, Yue is a decidedly what one would call a beauty. A voluptuous body, with long silky black hair, pale bluish white skin, and bright blue eyes. Typically she seems dressed in what appears to be some traditional chinese garb of some sort, if a bit more risque than what is historically appropriate. A talisman of some unknown purpose hangs from a hat.
Gender: Female
Age: 26
Species: Undead - Jiangshi
Personality: On earth, Yue was a rather reserved person. A quiet, if somewhat melancholic seeming existence. Hailing from modern day China had definitely colored her personality growing up, even when she migrated elsewhere for both her work as well as for other reasons.
Now that she's free of all that, free to pursue her own interests in earnest? She feels as though a huge weight has lifted off her shoulders. Lively, excitable, and kind of a ditz in some regards. Yue loves the limelight, being the center of attention, which is only matched by her love of
THE METAL. Back on earth, she never seemed to find the courage to pursue her real interests of metal and rock, with so much pressure from her family. Classical and orchestral was great, to be sure. In fact, she liked it just as any other, but there was just something so...blood pumping, lively, enthralling about a good hard fast rock riff played on an electric guitar.
She's going to take as much advantage of the situation that she can. She has a particular soft spot for history, especially those of military exploits.
Biography: Growing up in china for her young adult hood as part of a somewhat rural Chinese family, Yue had quite a traditional upbringing, though she never really though much of it. She quickly took an interest in more artistic pursuits of music, even winning a few awards and medals at a young age whilst still in school. Such accomplishments even netted her quite a few opportunities overseas. Deciding to get out of the stix and preferring not attending one in China, she decided on a highschool in Japan where she quickly befriended a japanese girl by the name of Asumi.
She was...interesting say the least. Yue didn't know how to make heads or tails of hers, or even how to handle her most of the time. All the flirting! Even while she was still in school. Honestly, Yue wanted nothing to do with her to start with, yet over the next two years Asumi became one of her best friends, deciding to even get an apartment together during college to help pay for expenses.
After highschool, Yue found herself quickly finding gigs for orchestras as well as finishing her education, making quite the portfolio for herself, though her love for the rock and metal genre never died, up until her death. An unfortunate accident - She had been performing at a show in Japan. Somehow or another one of the stage lights had come loose, falling right on top of her.
She doesn't remember much what happened after that. She thinks something caught fire, but...she was dead shortly after.
Abilities:Monstrous Strength As a Jiangshi, Yue possesses a fearsome amount of physical strength. Strength that would make even most normal men quake in their boots. Due to her rather unique bit of physiology though, it sometimes has rather limited use.
Undead Physiology Yue is an undead, and this affords some rather unique abilities. Mostly the fact that she doesn't really need to eat, drink, or sleep like a normal person does. As well as the fact she can be rather difficult to kill through normal means. Most wounds with mundane weapons won't cause serious harm, unless they somehow manage to cut off an entire limb. As well, she feeds off the life force of the living and must do so regularly or fall into a state of hibernation until fed.
Stiff muscles Due to her being a Jiangshi or 'Hopping Zombie' Yue, unfortunately suffers from extremely stiff muscles. That is to say, her body is in a constant stage of rigor mortis meaning it is physically impossible for her to bend her limbs much without some pain. Certain types of massages, magical therapies, and other similar things can alleviate the problem for a time, though. If she tries to move without it, her movements can be rather...jerky, and seem to be rather uncomfortable.
Skills: Yue was a musician in her past life. Trained in classical instruments as well as modern ones, she knows how to and can play fairly well. As can expect, she also can sing fairly well, though is by no means the best.
Magic: Dance Macabre (Primal) - Yue has the ability to both summon and control the undead via her music, or at least can influence their actions. Depending on the words she recites and the beats she plays with her music, she can incite undead to appear, apply buffs to her undead, allies, or herself. If she has the right lyrics and notes, she could apply debuffs to foes, as well as perhaps even entrance them.
Means of Death: Crushed on stage by stage light that had fell.
