I mean, I do want to play. I know I flip-flopped on it, but my mind's made up, and I'll stick with it!

All I can say then is 'we'll see'.

Character sheet creation speed record 2 years in a row

I like it! I have just two questions: are the directions Tab Stop moves things in relative to her? IE if something is in front of her and she writes the number above the thing's name in her clipboard, it would move farther away from her. Are you planning to write IC in first person, as well? I would prefer third-person, which would still allow you to narrate her inner thoughts.

@Lugubrious Tab stop is relative to her, yes. And in the IC I'll be writing in the third person, I just like doing fun things on sheets.

Alrighty then, in that case the sheet is accepted.

Sorry that I didn't actually say it, @Gentlemanvaultboy, but yours is too.

Thinking of going for a movie or music star route for my character, but I dunno how she would find her epithet. Maybe from a sci-fi movie?

Another movie-related character, eh? Maybe from some kind of traumatic event in her past. In desperate situations inscribed can unknowningly use an epithet they don't know yet, and potentially have an epiphany in so doing.

If you're planning to do a female character as well, we'll have quite the abundance. No males (yet, since I'll be making a sheet for Heath, too) and no criminal or worker elements so far.

While it might not seem like much is going on at the moment, steady work is progressing on character creation for at least four applicants, so we're in good shape. I'm eager to see what else people come up with.

Have to be honest, this does look very interesting, but I'm also aware that I'm in a fair number of RPs myself at the moment and can procrastinate wildly at times. Would it be okay if I asked for some words, then generated a character if one particularly caught my eye as something inspiring and fun to play out?

Arden Vail Thorn

Age: 16 | DOB: 20.01.04 | Height: 5”9

Personality:
Arden is bright, energetic and filled with optimism to an almost detrimental level. Highly confident he is both daring and charming. However he can also be a little arrogant, self focused and sneaky. Afraid of emotional attachment or dependence, he oft runs when things get too hard or complicated. Self dependent he has never needed anyone else.

Background:
When he was just young he miraculously survived a fatal car crash that took both his parents. Not knowing what else to do he ran away from the crash.
Subsequently he survived the following two and a half day’s alone in the bush, still running from his loss.
Next he survived the cruel orphanage before he once again ran away this time to survive on his own on the streets.
It was on the streets that he first started to develop and understand his epithet. Out of necessity and stress. It was also on the streets where he was noticed and recruited for his potential usefulness.
Trained, tricked and manipulated he was one of a few other kids used by a devious man to his own ends. Nothing more than tools he cared little for them if they were not useful.
Finally realising this Arden managed to escape, becoming more trouble than he was worth. A few years had passed and now he has ended up here, at the beginning of another chapter in his story.

Motivation:
Otterholt Point, a place where the girls are looking for a good time, everyone is distracted the pockets are loose and fingers slippery. Plenty of targets just laying around with at least a handful of the snobby elite always present and ready to be separated from their wealth.

Assets:
  • Trained - Arden has been trialed and trained to use his epithet adequately to his advantage.
  • Luck - Arden’s optimism sees him with a strong streak of luck, this and his belief that he has nothing left to lose gives him a powerful confidence and often sees him through some tricky situations.
  • Quick hands - It comes with the profession, quick hands and a quicker mind.
  • Charming smile - sharper and more important than any dagger, a quick and well placed grin has shifted many a situation. The most diverse tool at any good thief’s disposal.

Flaws:
  • Risk taker - It’s not a healthy habit, he will stop, one day...
  • Arrogant - sometimes it’s better to just sit down and shut up. Sadly Arden doesn’t know how to.
  • Never bern kissed - Despite all his smooth skills Arden has never been kissed, this is a fact that often sits at the forefront of his mind and interrupts and occupies thoughts that should be elsewhere.
  • Lone wolf - Arden has short term people skills but struggles with long term. He has only ever built superficial relationships and is scared to get close or rely on another.

Epithet: (escargot)
  • Food fight - the first ability he learned, the ability to create and lob escargot through the air.
  • Frictionless - His second creation ability was the slimy lubricant that snails produce. Used in many creative ways.
  • Home is where the shell is. - Born from his yearning for a home, Arden can enter any snail shell and find a comfortable home. (This is an extra dimensional space and he is ejected if the shell is broken.)
  • Snail pace - the latest one he is still discovering is the ability to slow down objects and people around him, manipulating their time/speed.

@Dark Light He seems like a fun character. I assume he's not affiliated with the Banzai Blasters (even temporarily) or any particular outfit at the moment. If you'd like, we can collaborate further to integrate his backstory. 'Home is where the shell is' is a pretty weird ability, but overall I think his epithet's good. He's accepted.

I have no idea who or what the Banzai Blasters are...

‘Home is where the shell is’ is a rip-off of a dnd spell ‘mordenkainen's magnificent mansion‘

They're a relatively low-threat criminal organization. I have details on them in the Factions section of the OP.
